Technical Field
[0002] The present disclosure relates generally to digital wireless communications. Background Art
[0003] Mobile communication technology is pushing the world towards an increasingly connected and networked society. Compared with existing wireless networks, the next generation of systems and wireless communication technologies will need to support a wider range of use case features and provide more complex and sophisticated access requirements and flexibility.
[0004] Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a wireless communication standard for mobile devices and data terminals developed by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) is a wireless communication standard that enhances the LTE standard. The fifth-generation wireless system, known as 5G, advances the LTE and LTE-A wireless standards and is committed to supporting higher data rates, a large number of connections, ultra-low latency, high reliability, and other emerging business requirements. Summary of the invention
[0005] Techniques for multiplexing information of a non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) that overlaps with another uplink control channel in the time domain are disclosed.
[0006] A first exemplary method for managing control channels that overlap in a time domain includes: performing a first determination, by a communication node, whether a scheduling request (SR) transmission needs to be performed in a control channel; performing a second determination, by the communication node in response to determining that the SR needs to be transmitted in the control channel, that a first resource for non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission in the control channel overlaps with a second resource for SR transmission in the time domain; and transmitting a sequence in the second resource in the control channel in response to the second determination, wherein the sequence indicates the SR and a feedback message for the NACK-only transmission.
[0007] In some embodiments, the method further includes transmitting a NACK message in a first resource for NACK-only transmission in the control channel in response to determining that the SR does not need to be transmitted in the control channel. In some embodiments, the sequence is determined based on a sequence cyclic shift value, and the sequence cyclic shift value is determined based on a feedback message for NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments, the feedback message is obtained by converting the NACK-only transmission into one bit. In some embodiments, the sequence is determined based on a SR transmission multiplexed with the NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments, the feedback message includes an acknowledgment (ACK) message or a NACK message. In some embodiments, the sequence of ACK messages is a modulated ACK message, or the sequence of NACK messages is a modulated NACK message.
[0008] A second exemplary method for managing control channels that overlap in the time domain, comprising: determining, by a communication node, that a first resource in a control channel for non-acknowledgement-only (NACK-only) transmission overlaps in the time domain with a second resource for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) transmission; and in response to the determination, transmitting a sequence in the second resource in the control channel, wherein the sequence indicates a first feedback message for HARQ-ACK transmission and a second feedback message for NACK-only transmission.
[0009] In some embodiments, the HARQ-ACK transmission is a one-bit HARQ-ACK transmission based on a first transmission format. In some embodiments, the HARQ-ACK transmission is a two-bit HARQ-ACK transmission based on a second transmission format. In some embodiments, the sequence is determined based on a sequence cyclic shift value, which is determined based on a first feedback message. In some embodiments, the sequence cyclic shift value is based on a first one-bit value associated with the HARQ-ACK transmission and a second one-bit value associated with the NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments, the second one-bit value is obtained by converting a second feedback message for NACK-only transmission into a second one-bit value. In some embodiments, the first feedback message includes an acknowledgment (ACK) message or a NACK message, and the second feedback message includes an ACK message or a NACK message. In some embodiments, the sequence of ACK messages is a modulated ACK message, or the sequence of NACK messages is a modulated NACK message. In some embodiments, the control channel includes a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH).
[0010] A third exemplary method for managing control channels that overlap in a time domain includes: determining, by a communication node, that a first resource in a first control channel for a first non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission overlaps in the time domain with a second resource in a second control channel for a second NACK-only transmission; and transmitting, in response to the determination, one or more bits in a third resource in a third control channel among at least two additional control channels, the one or more bits indicating feedback messages for both the first NACK-only transmission and the second NACK-only transmission, wherein the third control channel is selected based on a number of the one or more bits, and wherein the one or more bits are obtained by multiplexing a first value indicating a first feedback message for the first NACK-only transmission with a second value indicating a second feedback message for the second NACK-only transmission.
[0011] In some embodiments, the third resource of the third control channel is associated with one or two transmission bits. In some embodiments, the third resource of the third control channel is associated with more than two transmission bits. In some embodiments, the one or more bits are obtained by: converting each of the first value and the second value to a one-bit value; and concatenating each of the one-bit values to obtain one or more bits. In some embodiments, the method further includes: in response to the first feedback message and the second feedback message including an acknowledgment (ACK) message for both the first NACK-only transmission and the second NACK-only transmission, determining that the transmission of the feedback message using the third resource in the third control channel is not to be performed.
[0012] In some embodiments, in response to any one of the first feedback message and the second feedback message including a non-acknowledgement (NACK) message, transmitting one or more bits indicating the feedback message is performed. In some embodiments, each non-acknowledgement (NACK) message in any one or more of the first feedback message and the second feedback message is converted to a first value and a second value, respectively, and each of the first value and the second value includes one bit. In some embodiments, the method further includes: in a third control channel, transmitting an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report, the aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report being triggered by downlink grant information for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel or by a non-acknowledgement (NACK) of a physical downlink shared channel.
[0013] In some embodiments, the first control channel includes a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), the second control channel includes a second PUCCH, the third control channel includes a third PUCCH, and the at least two additional control channels include at least two additional PUCCHs configured to transmit one or more bits.
[0014] A fourth exemplary method for managing overlapping control channels in the time domain includes: receiving, by a network node, one or more bits in a resource in a control channel, the one or more bits indicating feedback messages for both a first non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission and a second NACK-only transmission, wherein the resource is based on the number of the one or more bits, and wherein the one or more bits are the result of a multiplexing operation between a first value indicating a first feedback message for the first NACK-only transmission and a second value indicating a second feedback message for the second NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments, the resources of the control channel are associated with one or two transmission bits. In some embodiments, the resources of the control channel are associated with more than two transmission bits. In some embodiments, the method also includes receiving an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report in the control channel, the aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report being triggered by a transmission of downlink grant information for a scheduling physical downlink shared channel or by a non-acknowledgement (NACK) of a physical downlink shared channel. In some embodiments, the control channel includes a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH).
[0015] A fifth exemplary method for managing control channels that overlap in the time domain includes: determining, by a communication node, that two first resources used for two non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmissions in two first control channels overlap in the time domain with two second resources used for two unicast transmissions in two second control channels, wherein each of the first resources is associated with a NACK-only transmission in a first control channel, and wherein each of the second resources is associated with a unicast transmission in a second control channel; obtaining a multiplexed unicast transmission by multiplexing two unicast transmissions; and transmitting the multiplexed unicast transmission.
[0016] In some embodiments, the two first resources do not overlap in the time domain. In some embodiments, the method further comprises, in response to the two first resources overlapping in the time domain, obtaining a multiplexed NACK-only transmission by multiplexing two NACK-only transmissions. In some embodiments, the two unicast transmissions comprise a unicast hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) transmission and a persistent or semi-persistent channel state information (CSI) transmission. In some embodiments, the two first control channels comprise two first physical uplink control channels (PUCCHs), and the two second control channels comprise two second PUCCHs.
[0017] In another exemplary aspect, the above method is embodied in the form of processor executable code and stored in a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. The code included in the computer readable storage medium causes the processor to implement the method described in this patent document when executed by the processor.
[0018] In yet another exemplary embodiment, a device configured or operable to perform the above method is disclosed.
[0019] The above and other aspects and implementations thereof are described in more detail in the drawings, the description and the claims. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0020] Figure 1A-1B It is shown that two non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) physical uplink control channels (PUCCHs) of a multicast broadcast service (MBS) service overlap simultaneously with a unicast hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) PUCCH and a persistent or semi-persistent channel state information (P / SP-CSI) PUCCH in a time slot or sub-time slot.
[0021] Figure 2-Figure 4 Three example methods of managing control channels that overlap in the time domain are shown.
[0022] Figure 5 An exemplary block diagram of a hardware platform that may be part of a network node or user equipment is shown.
[0023] Figure 6-Figure 7 Two additional example methods of managing control channels that overlap in the time domain are shown. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0024] In order to reduce the overhead of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) feedback and the number of HARQ-ACK physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions, some methods have been proposed, such as HARQ-ACK PUCCH transmission only for non-acknowledgement (NACK), or HARQ-ACK-PUCCH transmission only for ACK. For broadcast services, the above-mentioned methods for reducing overhead also exist. For example, a multicast broadcast service (MBS) service is received by multiple UEs, and a PUCCH resource is configured for the MBS service for NACK-only PUCCH transmission. When the UE does not correctly receive the MBS service, the UE transmits the NACK-only PUCCH in the PUCCH resource corresponding to the MBS service. When the UE correctly receives the MBS service, the UE does not need to perform HARQ-ACK PUCCH transmission.
[0025] In the current technology, in order to reduce UE complexity and cost, for multiple overlapping PUCCHs in the time domain, the uplink control information (UCI) information in these PUCCHs is multiplexed into one PUCCH for transmission. Here, the PUCCH resources finally used are determined based on the primary rate interface (PRI) in the last downlink control information (DCI) specific to the UE. However, generally, because broadcast services are scheduled based on common DCI, the UE may not obtain the UE-specific DCI, especially when the UE only receives broadcast services. Therefore, for multiple NACK-only PUCCHs overlapping in the time domain, if the information of the NACK-only PUCCH is multiplexed, the appropriate PUCCH resources will not be available. Therefore, the present patent application describes at least some multiplexing methods involving NACK-only PUCCH in several embodiments further shown below.
[0026] The example titles of the following sections are used to facilitate understanding of the disclosed subject matter and do not limit the scope of the claimed subject matter in any way. Therefore, one or more features of one example section can be combined with one or more features of another example section. In addition, for clarity of explanation, 5G terminology is used, but the technology disclosed in this document is not limited to 5G technology and can be used in wireless systems that implement other protocols.
[0027] If the NACK-only PUCCH is defined as an existing PUCCH format, the UE may use the existing PUCCH format 0 or format 1. The method described below is applicable regardless of whether the UE uses PUCCH format 0 or format 1. In some embodiments, the NACK-only PUCCH is a PUCCH resource shared by multiple UEs for each MBS service or an MBS reception group including multiple UEs receiving the same MBS service.
[0028] I. Example 1
[0029] Case 1: A NACK-only PUCCH and a scheduling request (SR) PUCCH format F0 (or format 0) overlap in the time domain
[0030] Method 1:
[0031] In case 1, if the UE is to transmit a positive SR (i.e., the UE has an SR that needs to be transmitted), the UE converts the NACK-only PUCCH into one bit, and the value is 0 or 1, corresponding to NACK or ACK. Then, the UE determines the sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 1, and transmits the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value in the SR PUCCH resource. The sequences corresponding to various sequence cyclic shift values are predefined. Corresponding to case 1, if the base station detects a sequence from the SR PUCCH resource, and determines the NACK-only PUCCH and the SR information corresponding to the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 1. The mapping relationship between the sequence cyclic shift value of the NACK-only PUCCH and the HARQ-ACK value is designed in Table 1. For example, if m cs = 3 is received from the SR PUCCH resource, indicating positive SR, and NACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH; if m cs =9 is received from the SR PUCCH resource, indicating positive SR, and ACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH.
[0032] Note 1: Regardless of whether the NACK-only PUCCH corresponds to ACK or NACK, the technique of method 1 is used. According to the previous description, when the NACK-only PUCCH corresponds to NACK, the NACK-only PUCCH needs to be transmitted, or does not need to be transmitted. In other words, regardless of whether the UE wants to transmit the NACK-only PUCCH, as long as the NACK-only PUCCH and the SR PUCCH overlap in the time domain, the above method 1 is performed.
[0033] Note 2: In the current technology, SR PUCCH does not overlap with other PUCCH in the time domain, and SR must correspond to m cs =0.
[0034] In case 1, if the SR is negative (eg, the UE does not have a SR that needs to be transmitted in the PUCCH) and the UE is to transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (ie, corresponding to a NACK), the UE transmits the NACK-only PUCCH only in the NACK-only PUCCH resources.
[0035] In case 1, if the SR is negative and the UE will not transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (ie, corresponding to a NACK), the UE does not need to do anything.

[0037] HARQ-ACK value for NACK-only PUCCH 0 1 Sequence cyclic shift value <![CDATA[m cs =3]]> <![CDATA[m cs =9]]>
[0038] Method 2:
[0039] In case 1, if the UE is to transmit a positive SR (i.e., the UE has an SR that needs to be transmitted), the UE converts the NACK-only PUCCH into one bit, and the value is 0 or 1, corresponding to NACK or ACK. Then, the UE determines the sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 2, and transmits the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value in the SR PUCCH resource. The sequences corresponding to various sequence cyclic shift values are predefined. Corresponding to case 1, if the base station detects a sequence from the SR PUCCH resource, and determines the NACK-only PUCCH and the SR information corresponding to the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 2. The mapping relationship between the sequence cyclic shift value of the NACK-only PUCCH and the HARQ-ACK value is designed in Table 2. For example, if m cs = 0 is received from the SR PUCCH resource, indicating positive SR, and NACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH; if m cs =6 is received from the SR PUCCH resource, indicating positive SR, and ACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH.
[0040] Note 1: Whether the NACK-only PUCCH corresponds to ACK or NACK, the technique in method 2 is used. According to the previous description, when the NACK-only PUCCH corresponds to NACK, the NACK-only PUCCH needs to be transmitted, or not. In other words, whether the UE wants to transmit the NACK-only PUCCH or not, as long as the NACK-only PUCCH and the SR PUCCH overlap in the time domain, the above method 2 is performed.
[0041] Table 2 can be used to overcome the problem of UE missing NACK-only PUCCH. For example, if NACK-only PUCCH is lost (i.e., the UE is unaware of the existence of NACK-only PUCCH, but the base station believes that NACK-only PUCCH exists), the UE determines m based on the situation that only the SR needs to be transmitted. cs = 0, and with m cs =0 is transmitted in the SR PUCCH resource. In this way, the base station will detect m from the SR PUCCH resource.cs =0, and the base station still understands that a NACK indication is received according to Table 2. At this time, the base station considers the SR to be positive, and the NACK is for the NACK-only PUCCH. In this way, the base station will still retransmit the data corresponding to the NACK-only PUCCH for the UE. This design idea can be summarized as follows: for the case where there is only a positive SR (not overlapping with other channels), and for the other case where the positive SR and the NACK-only PUCCH overlap in the time domain and the NACK is for the NACK-only PUCCH, for these two cases, the same m cs The value is used in SR PUCCH resources.
[0042] Note 2: In the current technology, SR PUCCH does not overlap with other PUCCH in the time domain, and SR must correspond to m cs =0.
[0043] In case 1, if the SR is negative (eg, the UE does not have a SR that needs to be transmitted in the PUCCH) and the UE is to transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (ie, corresponding to a NACK), the UE transmits the NACK-only PUCCH only in the NACK-only PUCCH resources.
[0044] In case 1, if the SR is negative and the UE will not transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (ie, corresponding to a NACK), the UE does not need to do anything.
[0045] Table 2 - Mapping of one HARQ-ACK information bit of NACK-only PUCCH and positive SR value of PUCCH format 0 to sequence.
[0046] HARQ-ACK value for NACK-only PUCCH 0 1 Sequence cyclic shift value <![CDATA[m cs =0]]> <![CDATA[m cs =6]]>
[0047] Method 3:
[0048] In case 1, if the UE is to transmit a positive SR and a NACK-only PUCCH needs to be transmitted (ie, corresponds to NACK), the UE converts the NACK-only PUCCH into one bit with a value of 0, corresponding to NACK. Then, the UE determines the sequence according to Table 3 and transmits the sequence in the SR PUCCH resource.
[0049] In case 1, if the UE is to transmit a positive SR and a NACK-only PUCCH does not need to be transmitted (ie, corresponds to an ACK), the UE determines a sequence according to Table 4 or Table 4-a and transmits the sequence in the SR PUCCH resource.
[0050] In case 1, if the SR is negative (eg, the UE does not have a SR that needs to be transmitted in the PUCCH) and the UE is to transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (ie, corresponding to a NACK), the UE transmits the NACK-only PUCCH only in the NACK-only PUCCH resources.
[0051] In case 1, if the SR is negative and the UE will not transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (ie, corresponding to a NACK), the UE does not need to do anything.
[0052] In method 3, if the base station detects a sequence from the SR PUCCH resource and determines the NACK-only PUCCH and the SR information corresponding to the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 3 and Table 4 (or Table 4-a). For example, if the base station receives m from the SR PUCCH resource cs = 0, then check Table 4 (or Table 4-a) and Table 3, which indicates positive SR, NACK for NACK-only PUCCH; if the base station receives m from the SR PUCCH resource cs =3, then check Table 3 and Table 4 (or Table 4-a), which means positive SR, ACK is for NACK-only PUCCH.
[0053] Table 3 — Mapping of one NACK information bit of NACK-only PUCCH and positive SR value of PUCCH format 0 to sequence
[0054] Table 4 - Mapping of positive SR values to sequences for PUCCH format 0

[0056] Table 4-a — Mapping of one ACK information bit of NACK-only PUCCH and positive SR value of PUCCH format 0 to sequence
[0057] ACK value of NACK-only PUCCH 1 Sequence cyclic shift value <![CDATA[m cs =0]]>
[0058] Case 2: A NACK-only PUCCH and an SR PUCCH format F1 (or format 1) overlap in the time domain
[0059] Method 1, method 2 or method 3 in case 1 can be reused for case 2, except that the bit information to be transmitted is modulated into a determined sequence, and then the modulated ACK / NACK information sequence is transmitted according to method 1, method 2 or method 3 respectively.
[0060] The above methods 1 to 3 can use SR PUCCH resources, which is beneficial to avoid UE conflict problems compared to selecting common NACK-only PUCCH resources to transmit the multiplexed sequence. For example, for MBS service, 4 UEs (denoted as UE1 to UE4) are receiving, and they share the same NACK-only PUCCH resources to transmit NACK. If UE1 has the same overlapping problem as in Case 1 and Case 2, and if UE2 to UE4 do not have such a problem, if UE1 uses NACK-only PUCCH resources to transmit the multiplexed sequence of SR and NACK-only PUCCH, it will conflict with the NACK-only transmission of UE2 to UE4 in terms of sequence. Therefore, UE1 selects SR PUCCH resources to transmit the multiplexed sequence of SR and NACK-only PUCCH, which has obvious benefits because the SR PUCCH resources belong to UE1.
[0061] II. Example 2
[0062] Method 4
[0063] Case 3: A NACK-only PUCCH and a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format F0 overlap in the time domain
[0064] In case 3, if the UE is to transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (i.e., corresponding to NACK), a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH needs to be transmitted, and the UE determines the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 5 and transmits the sequence in a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource.
[0065] If the UE is in case 3, the base station combines Table 5 and Table 6, and if m cs =3 is received from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource, indicating that NACK is for NACK-only PUCCH, and NACK is for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0;
[0066] If the base station receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource cs =9, it means that NACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and ACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0;
[0067] If the base station receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource cs =0, indicating that ACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and NACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0;
[0068] If the base station receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource cs =6, it means that ACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and ACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0.
[0069] In case 3, if NACK-only PUCCH does not need to be transmitted (corresponding to ACK) and one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH needs to be transmitted, the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value is determined according to Table 6 and transmitted in the one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource.
[0070] Table 5 — Mapping of one HARQ-ACK information bit of HARQ-ACK PUCCH format 0 and one NACK information bit of NACK-only PUCCH to sequence
[0071] HARQ-ACK HARQ-ACK value of PUCCH 0 1 Sequence cyclic shift value <![CDATA[m cs =3]]> <![CDATA[m cs =9]]>
[0072] Table 6 — Mapping of one HARQ-ACK information bit value to sequence for HARQ-ACK PUCCH format 0
[0073] HARQ-ACK HARQ-ACK value of PUCCH 0 1 Sequence cyclic shift value <![CDATA[m cs =0]]> <![CDATA[m cs =6]]>
[0074] Method 5
[0075] In case 3, if a NACK-only PUCCH and a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format F0 overlap in the time domain, the NACK-only PUCCH is converted to one bit, and the value is 0 or 1 according to the actual decoding result. Then, the converted bit information and the one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format 0 are combined into two bits, and the sequence corresponding to the sequence cyclic shift value is determined according to Table 7, and then the sequence is transmitted in the resources of the one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format 0. The combination order of the two bits can be a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH followed by a NACK-only PUCCH, or vice versa.
[0076] If the UE is in case 3, the base station combines Table 7 if it receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource. cs =0, it means that NACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and NACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0;
[0077] If the base station receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resourcecs =3, indicating that ACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and NACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0;
[0078] If the base station receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource cs =6, it means that ACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and ACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0;
[0079] If the base station receives m from a one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource cs =9, it means that NACK is used for NACK-only PUCCH, and ACK is used for one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0.
[0080] Table 7 — Mapping of one HARQ-ACK information bit value to sequence for PUCCH format 0 and NACK-only PUCCH
[0081]
[0082] Case 4: NACK-only PUCCH and one-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format F1 overlap in the time domain
[0083] The method adopted in case 4 is similar to the method in case 3, except that the bit information to be transmitted is modulated into the determined sequence, and then the modulated sequence is sent. Methods 4 to 5 in case 3 are used as case 4, and in conjunction with m cs After the corresponding sequence is determined, the bit information to be transmitted is modulated onto the sequence, and then, the modulated sequence is transmitted.
[0084] Case 5: NACK-only PUCCH and two-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format F0 overlap in the time domain
[0085] Method 6
[0086] In case 5, if the UE is to transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (corresponding to NACK), two-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0 is transmitted, and the UE determines a sequence corresponding to a sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 8 (or Table 9), and transmits the sequence in a two-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource. If the UE does not wish to transmit a NACK-only PUCCH (corresponding to ACK), two-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH F0 is transmitted, and the UE determines a sequence corresponding to a sequence cyclic shift value according to Table 9 (or Table 8), and transmits the sequence in a two-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource. [0090] Case 6: NACK-only PUCCH and two-bit HARQ-ACK PUCCH format F1 overlap in the time domain
[0091] The method used in case 6 is similar to the method in case 5, except that the bit information to be transmitted is modulated into the determined sequence, and then the modulated sequence is sent. Method 6 in case 5 is used as case 6, and in the case of m cs After the corresponding sequence is determined, the bit information to be transmitted is modulated onto the sequence, and then, the modulated sequence is transmitted.
[0092] III. Example 3
[0093] Case 7: Multiple NACK-only PUCCHs overlap each other in the time domain
[0094] Method 7: The UE is configured with a new PUCCH resource (denoted as additional PUCCH). If the UE has only multiple NACK-only PUCCHs overlapping in the time domain and these NACK-only PUCCHs are multiplexed, the multiplexed information from the NACK-only PUCCH is transmitted in the additional PUCCH resource. There may be at least two additional PUCCH resources (denoted as PUCCH1 and PUCCH2), the number of transmission bits corresponding to the additional PUCCH1 is 1 to 2 bits, and the number of transmission bits corresponding to the additional PUCCH2 is greater than 2 bits.
[0095] Here, the above-mentioned NACK-only PUCCH multiplexing refers to converting each NACK-only PUCCH into one bit, then concatenating these one bits to obtain final bit information, and then transmitting the final bit information in the additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2 according to the size of the final bit information.
[0096] For multiple UEs, their additional PUCCH1 and PUCCH2 should be orthogonally configured.
[0097] For example, if the UE has only multiple NACK-only PUCCH resources overlapping in the time domain in a time slot / sub-time slot, and the UE will transmit at least one (or only one) NACK-only PUCCH, the UE converts each of the multiple NACK-only PUCCHs into one-bit information, and the value is 0 or 1 according to the actual decoding result. Then, the converted one-bit information is cascaded to obtain the final bit information, and the final bit information is transmitted in an additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2 according to the size of the final bit information. Multiple NACK-only PUCCHs are not transmitted. Alternatively, if the UE has only multiple NACK-only PUCCH resources overlapping in the time domain in a time slot / sub-time slot, and ACK is used for each NACK-only PUCCH, the UE does not transmit multiple NACK-only PUCCHs, and does not transmit additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2.
[0098] Another example: If the UE has multiple NACK-only PUCCH resources overlapping in the time domain in a slot / subslot, the UE always converts each of the multiple NACK-only PUCCHs into one-bit information, which is 0 or 1 according to the actual decoding result. Then, the converted one-bit information is concatenated to obtain the final bit information, and the final bit information is transmitted in the additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2 according to the size of the final bit information. Multiple NACK-only PUCCHs are not transmitted. Here, regardless of whether the NACK-only PUCCH needs to be transmitted, the UE always converts each NACK-only PUCCH into one-bit information
[0099] In addition, here, the additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2 can also be used to transmit an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report triggered by downlink grant information or NACK of the PDSCH.
[0100] For example, the downlink grant information schedules PDSCH and triggers A-CSI reporting, and the HARQ-ACK PUCCH resource corresponding to the PDSCH is indicated by the downlink grant information, but the downlink grant information cannot simultaneously indicate another PUCCH resource for A-CSI reporting. This is also because the time required for HARQ-ACK preparation and A-CSI preparation is different, and the preparation of A-CSI requires more time. Therefore, on this basis, when the A-CSI report is triggered, the additional PUCCH is used for the A-CSI report. In other words, if the downlink grant information schedules PDSCH and also triggers the A-CSI report, the A-CSI report is transmitted in the additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2 by default. Alternatively, if the NACK of the PDSCH triggers the A-CSI report, the A-CSI report is transmitted in the additional PUCCH1 or PUCCH2 by default.
[0101] IV. Example 4
[0102] Case 8: including: one NACK-only PUCCH and multiple unicast PUCCHs overlap in the time domain; multiple NACK-only PUCCHs and one unicast PUCCH overlap in the time domain; multiple NACK-only PUCCHs and multiple unicast PUCCHs overlap in the time domain;
[0103] In case 8, two ideas can be considered:
[0104] Idea 1: First solve the overlap between multiple PUCCHs of MBS service and the overlap between multiple unicast PUCCHs, and then solve the overlap between one PUCCH of MBS service and one unicast PUCCH.
[0105] An example
[0106] like Figure 1A As shown, in the time slot / sub-time slot, the NACK-only PUCCH of two MBS services overlaps with the unicast HARQ-ACK PUCCH and P / SP-CSIPUCCH at the same time. The UE resolves the overlap between the unicast HARQ-ACK PUCCH and the P / SP-CSIPUCCH to obtain the multiplexed PUCCH3. The UE resolves the overlap between NACK-only PUCCH1 and NACK-only PUCCH2 to obtain the transmitted multiplexed PUCCH4 (in Figure 1A In the example, for NACK-only PUCCH1 and NACK-only PUCCH2, there is actually no overlap and no solution is needed.) Then the UE solves the overlap between multiplexed PUCCH3 and 2 NACK-only PUCCHs (if PUCCH3 overlaps with NACK-only PUCCH1 and / or PUCCH2 in the time domain).
[0107] like Figure 1B As shown, in the time slot / sub-time slot, the two NACK-only PUCCHs of MBS service overlap, and they overlap with the unicast HARQ-ACK PUCCH and P / SP-CSI PUCCH at the same time. The UE resolves the overlap between the unicast HARQ-ACK PUCCH and the P / SP-CSI PUCCH to obtain multiplexed PUCCH3. The UE resolves the overlap between the 2 NACK-only PUCCHs of MBS service to obtain multiplexed PUCCH4 (PUCCH4 is the additional PUCCH mentioned in case 7). Then the UE resolves the overlap between multiplexed PUCCH3 and multiplexed PUCCH4 (if any).
[0108] Idea 2: First solve the overlap between PUCCHs of the same UCI type, and then solve the overlap between PUCCHs of different UCI types.
[0109] like Figure 1A and Figure 1BAs shown, in a time slot / sub-time slot, two NACK-only PUCCHs for MBS services overlap with unicast HARQ-ACK PUCCH and P / SP-CSIPUCCH at the same time. The UE resolves the overlap between HARQ-ACK PUCCHs, for example, the overlap between unicast HARQ-ACK PUCCH and 2 NACK-only PUCCHs to obtain multiplexed PUCCH5, and then resolves the overlap between multiplexed PUCCH5 and P / SP-PUCCH (if any) using the techniques described in this patent document.
[0110] UCI types include HARQ-ACK, SR, and CSI. NACK-only PUCCH is also counted as a HARQ-ACK type.
[0111] In cases 1 to 8, if NACK-only PUCCH is replaced with ACK-only PUCCH, all the above methods will also apply. Some adaptations are necessary, for example, "NACK-only PUCCH corresponds to NACK" is replaced with "ACK-only PUCCH corresponds to ACK".
[0112] V. Example 5
[0113] In the current technology, the random access process includes four steps: 1. The UE sends a PRACH sequence (random access preamble) (also called msg0) to the gNodeB. 2. The gNodeB sends a RAR UL grant (random access response) to schedule the PUSCH. 3. The UE sends a PUSCH scheduled by the RAR UL grant. 4. The gNodeB sends a PDSCH with a UE contention resolution identity (also called msg4). The UE needs to feed back the HARQ-ACK PUCCH corresponding to msg4 (that is, it needs to feed back ACK after correctly receiving the PDSCH). Considering that the uplink coverage is enhanced, PUCCH transmission should use a repetition mechanism. However, in order to achieve this goal, how to let the UE know the number of PUCCH repetitions is a problem that needs to be solved.
[0114] In the current technology, there are two steps based on the random access procedure.
[0115] Step 1: UE sends PRACH sequence (msgA) to gNodeB, and Step 2: gNodeB sends random access response (msgB) to UE. msgB is required to feedback the corresponding HARQ-ACK PUCCH to gNodeB. msgB also faces similar problems as above.
[0116] Some solutions for the 4-step random access process are as follows:
[0117] Method 1: During the random access process, the number of HARQ-ACK PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4 is the same as that of msg3.
[0118] For example, gNodeB and UE have agreed that the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4 is the same as that of msg3. In this way, if msg3 needs to be repeated and gNodeB notifies the number of msg3 repetitions, the PUCCH corresponding to msg4 should also be repeated, and the number of PUCCH repetitions is the same as that of msg3.
[0119] Method 2: During the random access process, the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4 is the same as the number of PRACH sequence (ie, msg0).
[0120] For example, the gNodeB and the UE agree that the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4 is the same as that of msg0. In this way, if the UE repeatedly transmits msg0, the PUCCH corresponding to msg4 should also be repeated, and the number of PUCCH repetitions should be the same as that of msg0.
[0121] Method 3: According to the negotiation between the gNodeB and the UE, the gNodeB indicates the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4 through a predefined bit field in DCI scheduling msg4.
[0122] For example, gNodeB indicates the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4 through a predefined bit field in DCI scheduling msg4. UE receives DCI, obtains the number of PUCCH repetitions, and repeatedly transmits PUCCH. If the predefined bit field in DCI is the default value, PUCCH is not repeated, or the number of PUCCH repetitions is the same as that of msg0 / msg3.
[0123] Method 4: The number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to Msg4 is notified through MAC layer signaling (for example, in the PDSCH corresponding to Msg4).
[0124] For example, a new MAC CE is introduced and transmitted to the UE through the PDSCH corresponding to msg4, and indicates the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4.
[0125] Or, for example, new information indicating the number of repetitions of msg4 is added to the existing UE contention resolution identity MAC CE. In this way, the UE contention resolution identity MAC CE is transmitted to the UE through the PDSCH corresponding to msg4, and the UE will know the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msg4.
[0126] Method 5: Divide the PRACH sequence into multiple groups. In each group, the PRACH sequence corresponds to a given PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msg4. That is, the PUCCH repetition number is associated with different PRACH sequence groups. In this way, when the UE selects a PRACH sequence from the group to be sent, it will know the PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msg4 during the random access process.
[0127] Method 6: Divide RACH RO (RACH occasion) into multiple groups. The PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msg4 is associated with different RACH RO groups. In each group, RACH RO corresponds to a given PUCCH repetition number. In this way, when the UE selects RACH RO to send the PRACH sequence, it will know the PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msg4 during the random access process.
[0128] Method 7:
[0129] In the current technology, the HARQ-ACK PUCCH corresponding to msg4 has a total of 16 PUCCH resource sets. Each PUCCH resource set includes 16 PUCCH resources. The gNodeB configures the PUCCH resource set for the cell and then indicates the PUCCH resources in the PUCCH set through signaling for the UE. Therefore, the UE can know the PUCCH resources of the HARQ-ACK PUCCH corresponding to msg4.
[0130] In order to implement PUCCH repetition, a new attribute, namely the PUCCH repetition number, is added to the PUCCH resources in the PUCCH resource set. In this way, each PUCCH resource in the PUCCH resource set can be set to the PUCCH repetition number. If the gNodeB indicates the PUCCH resources in the PUCCH resource set through signaling, the UE will know the PUCCH repetition number through the new attribute of the PUCCH resource.
[0131] For method 7, specific details of PUCCH resources before dedicated PUCCH resource configuration are given below.
[0132] Table 10 is an existing table of PUCCH resource sets before dedicated PUCCH resource configuration, except for the last column in Table 10. There are 16 rows in Table 10, and each row corresponds to a PUCCH resource set. One PUCCH resource set contains 16 PUCCH resources.
[0133] Configure a new PUCCH resource set for the UE before the dedicated PUCCH resource configuration:
[0134] For example, an attribute list, namely, "PUCCH repetition supported", is added to Table 10, which describes whether the PUCCH resources in the PUCCH resource set support PUCCH repetition.
[0135] Possible configurations have been configured for PUCCH resource sets supporting PUCCH repetition in Table 10. It is possible that a PUCCH resource set with a symbol number greater than or equal to 4 in Table 10 is configured to support PUCCH repetition. It is also possible that a PUCCH resource set with a symbol number greater than or equal to 10 is configured to support PUCCH repetition.
[0136] Table 10 - New PUCCH resource set for UE before dedicated PUCCH resource configuration
[0137]
[0138]
[0139] Each row in Table 10 corresponds to 16 PUCCH resources, and according to the "initial CS index set" column, 16 PUCCH resources are shown in Tables 12 to 14. In addition, a configuration example of the number of PUCCH repetitions is given in Tables 12 to 14, that is, the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to the same PRI value is configured to be the same.
[0140] Note: The “Number of Repetitions” column in Tables 12 to 14 is newly added based on Method 7. The remaining columns are existing columns.
[0141] Table 12 - PUCCH resources based on the initial CS index set {0, 3, 6, 9}
[0142]
[0143]
[0144] Table 13 - PUCCH resources based on the initial CS index set {0, 6}
[0145]
[0146]
[0147] Table 14 - PUCCH resources based on the initial CS index set {0, 3}
[0148]
[0149] The process of UE determining PUCCH resources includes:
[0150] The first method: the UE first determines the random access level during the random access process, and then knows whether the PUCCH resources need to be repeatedly transmitted according to the random access level.
[0151] For example, if the UE determines that it needs to support PUCCH repetition, the UE determines the PUCCH resources according to Tables 12 to 14, and determines the corresponding PUCCH repetition times (that is, the PUCCH repetition times in Tables 12 to 14 are valid for the UE. If the UE determines that it does not need to support PUCCH repetition, the PUCCH repetition times in Tables 12 to 14 are invalid for the UE).
[0152] If the UE determines that it needs to perform PUCCH repetition once during the random access procedure, if the UE is not configured with dedicated PUCCH resources, the UE transmits the PUCCH according to the number of PUCCH repetitions determined during the random access procedure.
[0153] Using this mechanism, the existing PUCCH resource indication (PRI) in the DCI can be reused and the indication of the common PUCCH resource set in SIB1 does not need to be modified.
[0154] Second method:
[0155] A new PUCCH resource set indicator is added to SIB1 to describe the PUCCH resource set supporting PUCCH repetition transmission.
[0156] The UE determines its own random access level during the random access procedure and knows whether it needs to support PUCCH repetition transmission. If the UE needs to support PUCCH repetition, the UE determines the PUCCH resource set according to the newly added PUCCH resource indicator field in SIB1, which is used to indicate the PUCCH resource set that supports PUCCH repetition.
[0157] If the UE determines that it needs to perform PUCCH repetition once during the random access procedure, if the UE is not configured with dedicated PUCCH resources, the UE transmits the PUCCH according to the number of PUCCH repetitions determined during the random access procedure.
[0158] If 16 PUCCH resources in a PUCCH resource set need to support PUCCH repetition, the method for configuring the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to the 16 PUCCH resources is as follows:
[0159] Add a column of attributes, namely "number of repetitions", to the PUCCH resource table. Examples are shown in Tables 12 to 14. The configuration of the number of PUCCH repetitions can adopt at least one of the following:
[0160] Tables 12 to 14 are used as examples for explanation.
[0161] First configuration method: The PUCCH resources corresponding to the same PRI value are configured to have the same number of repetitions. In this way, the inflexibility of the PUCCH repetition number caused by the CCE index can be avoided. The CCE index is related to the CCE position actually occupied by the DCI. If there are more UEs, it is difficult to coordinate the expected CCE position of one UE. Regardless of the CCE index, it will be very flexible to directly determine the number of PUCCH resource repetitions by PRI. In Tables 12 to 14, the PUCCH repetition number has been configured according to this configuration method.
[0162] Second configuration method: PUCCH resources corresponding to the same frequency hopping direction value are configured to have the same number of repetitions.
[0163] PUCCH resources corresponding to the same UE-specific PRB offset value are configured to have the same number of repetitions.
[0164] Fourth configuration method: PUCCH resources corresponding to the same initial CS index value are configured to have the same number of repetitions.
[0165] Fifth configuration method: PUCCH resources corresponding to the same initial CS index value are configured to have different repetition amounts. For example, in Table 12, the number of PUCCH resources corresponding to 4 CS0s is configured to be repeated 2, 4, 8, and 16 times, respectively.
[0166] Sixth configuration method: For example, in Table 12, two PUCCHs in the PUCCH resources corresponding to the same initial CS index value are configured to have the same repetition number, which is smaller than the repetition number of the remaining two PUCCHs. The repetition numbers of the remaining two PUCCHs are configured to be different.
[0167] Some solutions for the two-step random access process are as follows:
[0168] Method 8 (similar to method 2): During the random access procedure, the number of repetitions of the PUCCH corresponding to msgB is the same as the number of repetitions of the PRACH sequence (ie, msgA).
[0169] For example, the gNodeB and the UE agree that the number of repetitions of the PUCCH corresponding to msgB is the same as the number of repetitions of msgA. In this way, if the UE repeatedly transmits msgA, the PUCCH corresponding to msgB should also be repeated, and the number of repetitions of the PUCCH should be the same as the number of repetitions of msgA.
[0170] Method 9 (similar to method 3): According to the negotiation between gNodeB and UE, gNodeB indicates the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msgB through a predefined bit field in the DCI that schedules msgB.
[0171] For example, gNodeB indicates the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msgB through a predefined bit field in the DCI that schedules msgB. The UE receives the DCI, obtains the number of PUCCH repetitions, and repeatedly transmits the PUCCH. If the predefined bit field in the DCI is the default value, the PUCCH is not repeated, or the number of PUCCH repetitions is the same as the number of msgA repetitions.
[0172] Method 10:
[0173] The number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to MsgB is notified in the PDSCH corresponding to MsgB through MAC layer signaling.
[0174] For example, a new MAC CE is added to notify the UE and is transmitted through the PDSCH corresponding to msgB, and indicates the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msgB.
[0175] Alternatively, for example, new information indicating the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msgB is added to the existing SuccessRAR. In this way, SuccessRAR is transmitted to the UE, and the UE will know the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msgB. Alternatively, new information indicating the number of PUCCH repetitions corresponding to msgB is added in the existing MAC subheader of msgB or in the existing MAC payload of msgB.
[0176] Method 11 (similar to method 5): PRACH sequences are divided into multiple groups. In each group, the PRACH sequence corresponds to a given PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msgB. That is, the PUCCH repetition number is associated with different PRACH sequence groups. In this way, when the UE selects a PRACH sequence from the group to be sent, it will know the PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msgB during the random access process.
[0177] Method 12 (similar to method 6): RACH RO (RACH opportunity) is divided into multiple groups. The PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msgB is associated with different RACH RO groups. In each group, RACH RO corresponds to a given PUCCH repetition number. In this way, when the UE selects a RACH RO to send a PRACH sequence, it will know the PUCCH repetition number corresponding to msgB during the random access process.
[0178] Method 13 (similar to method 7): In the current technology, the HARQ-ACK PUCCH corresponding to msgB has a total of 16 PUCCH resource sets. Each PUCCH resource set includes 16 PUCCH resources. The gNodeB configures the PUCCH resource set for the cell and then indicates the PUCCH resources in the PUCCH set through signaling for the UE. Therefore, the UE can know the PUCCH resources of the HARQ-ACK PUCCH corresponding to msgB.
[0179] In order to implement PUCCH repetition, a new attribute, namely the PUCCH repetition number, is added to the PUCCH resources in the PUCCH resource set.
[0180] Figure 2 A first exemplary method 200 for managing control channels that overlap in the time domain is shown. Operation 202 includes performing, by a communication node, a first determination whether a scheduling request (SR) transmission needs to be performed in a control channel. Operation 204 includes performing, by the communication node, a second determination that a first resource for non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission in the control channel overlaps with a second resource for SR transmission in the time domain in response to determining that the SR needs to be transmitted in the control channel. Operation 206 includes transmitting, in response to the second determination, a sequence in the second resource in the control channel, wherein the sequence indicates the SR and a feedback message for the NACK-only transmission.
[0181] In some embodiments of the method 200, the method further includes, in response to determining that the SR does not need to be transmitted in the control channel, transmitting a NACK message in a first resource for NACK-only transmission in the control channel. In some embodiments of the method 200, the sequence is determined based on a sequence cyclic shift value, which is determined based on a feedback message for NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments of the method 200, the feedback message is obtained by converting the NACK-only transmission into one bit. In some embodiments of the method 200, the sequence is determined based on a SR transmission multiplexed with the NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments of the method 200, the sequence of ACK messages is a modulated ACK message, or the sequence of NACK messages is a modulated NACK message.
[0182] Figure 3A second exemplary method 300 for managing control channels that overlap in the time domain is shown. Operation 302 includes determining, by a communication node, that a first resource in a control channel for non-acknowledgement-only (NACK-only) transmission overlaps in the time domain with a second resource for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) transmission. Operation 304 includes, in response to the determination, transmitting a sequence in the second resource in the control channel, wherein the sequence indicates a first feedback message for the HARQ-ACK transmission and a second feedback message for the NACK-only transmission.
[0183] In some embodiments of the method 300, the HARQ-ACK transmission is a one-bit HARQ-ACK transmission based on a first transmission format. In some embodiments of the method 300, the HARQ-ACK transmission is a two-bit HARQ-ACK transmission based on a second transmission format. In some embodiments of the method 300, the sequence is determined based on a sequence cyclic shift value, which is determined based on a first feedback message. In some embodiments of the method 300, the sequence cyclic shift value is based on a first one-bit value associated with the HARQ-ACK transmission and a second one-bit value associated with the NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments of the method 300, the second one-bit value is obtained by converting a second feedback message for NACK-only transmission into a second one-bit value. In some embodiments of the method 300, the first feedback message includes an acknowledgment (ACK) message or a NACK message, and the second feedback message includes an ACK message or a NACK message. In some embodiments of the method 300, the sequence of ACK messages is a modulated ACK message, or the sequence of NACK messages is a modulated NACK message. In some embodiments of methods 200 and 300, the control channel comprises a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH).
[0184] Figure 4A third exemplary method 400 for managing control channels that overlap in a time domain is shown. Operation 402 includes determining, by a communication node, that a first resource in a first control channel for a first non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission overlaps in the time domain with a second resource in a second control channel for a second NACK-only transmission. Operation 404 includes transmitting, in response to the determination, one or more bits in a third resource in a third control channel of at least two additional control channels, the one or more bits indicating feedback messages for both the first NACK-only transmission and the second NACK-only transmission, wherein the third control channel is selected based on a number of the one or more bits, and wherein the one or more bits are obtained by multiplexing a first value indicating the first feedback message for the first NACK-only transmission with a second value indicating the second feedback message for the second NACK-only transmission.
[0185] In some embodiments of method 400, the third resource of the third control channel is associated with one or two transmission bits. In some embodiments of method 400, the third resource of the third control channel is associated with more than two transmission bits. In some embodiments of method 400, the one or more bits are obtained by: converting each of the first value and the second value to a one-bit value; and concatenating each of the one-bit values to obtain one or more bits. In some embodiments of method 400, the method also includes, in response to the first feedback message and the second feedback message including an acknowledgment (ACK) message for both the first NACK-only transmission and the second NACK-only transmission, determining that transmission of the feedback message using the third resource in the third control channel does not need to be performed.
[0186] In some embodiments of the method 400, transmitting one or more bits indicating the feedback message is performed in response to any one of the first feedback message and the second feedback message including a non-acknowledgement (NACK) message. In some embodiments of the method 400, each non-acknowledgement (NACK) message in any one or more of the first feedback message and the second feedback message is converted to a first value and a second value, respectively, and each of the first value and the second value includes one bit. In some embodiments of the method 400, the method also includes transmitting, in a third control channel, a non-periodic channel state information (A-CSI) report triggered by downlink grant information for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel or by a non-acknowledgement (NACK) of a physical downlink shared channel.

[0188] Figure 6 A fourth exemplary method 600 for managing overlapping control channels in the time domain is shown. Operation 602 includes receiving, by a network node, one or more bits in a resource in a control channel, the one or more bits indicating feedback messages for both a first non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission and a second NACK-only transmission, wherein the resource is based on a number of one or more bits, and wherein the one or more bits are the result of a multiplexing operation between a first value and a second value, the first value indicating a first feedback message for the first NACK-only transmission, and the second value indicating a second feedback message for the second NACK-only transmission. In some embodiments of the method 600, the resources of the control channel are associated with one or two transmission bits. In some embodiments of the method 600, the resources of the control channel are associated with more than two transmission bits. In some embodiments of the method 600, the method further includes receiving in the control channel an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report triggered by a transmission of downlink grant information for a scheduling physical downlink shared channel or by a non-acknowledgement (NACK) of a physical downlink shared channel. In some embodiments of the method 600, the control channel includes a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH).
[0189] Figure 7 A fifth exemplary method 700 for managing control channels that overlap in a time domain is shown. Operation 702 includes determining, by a communication node, that two first resources for two non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmissions in two first control channels overlap in a time domain with two second resources for two unicast transmissions in two second control channels, wherein each of the first resources is associated with one NACK-only transmission in one of the first control channels, and wherein each of the second resources is associated with one unicast transmission in one of the second control channels. Operation 704 includes obtaining a multiplexed unicast transmission by multiplexing the two unicast transmissions. Operation 706 includes transmitting the multiplexed unicast transmission.
[0190] In some embodiments of method 700, the two first resources do not overlap in the time domain. In some embodiments of method 700, the method further comprises, in response to the two first resources overlapping in the time domain, obtaining a multiplexed NACK-only transmission by multiplexing two NACK-only transmissions. In some embodiments of method 700, the two unicast transmissions comprise a unicast hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) transmission and a persistent or semi-persistent channel state information (CSI) transmission. In some embodiments of method 700, the two first control channels comprise two first physical uplink control channels (PUCCHs), and the two second control channels comprise two second PUCCHs.

Claims
1. A wireless communication method, comprising: performing, by the communication node, a first determination whether a scheduling request (SR) transmission needs to be performed in a control channel; performing, by the communication node in response to determining that the SR needs to be transmitted in the control channel, a second determination that a first resource for non-acknowledgement (NACK-only) transmission in the control channel overlaps with a second resource for the SR transmission in the time domain; and responsive to the second determination, transmitting a sequence in the second resource in the control channel, The sequence indicates the SR and a feedback message for the NACK-only transmission.
2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising: In response to determining that the SR does not need to be transmitted in the control channel, a NACK message is transmitted in the control channel in the first resource used for the NACK-only transmission.
3. The method according to claim 1, wherein: The sequence is determined based on a sequence cyclic shift value, the sequence cyclic shift value being determined based on the feedback message for the NACK-only transmission.
4. The method according to claim 3, wherein: The feedback message is obtained by converting the NACK-only transmission into one bit.
5. The method of claim 3, wherein the sequence is determined based on the SR transmission multiplexed with the NACK-only transmission.
6. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the feedback message comprises an acknowledgement (ACK) message or a NACK message.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the sequence of the ACK messages are modulated ACK messages, or wherein the sequence of the NACK messages are modulated NACK messages.
8. An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising a processor configured to implement the method according to one or more of claims 1 to 7.
9. A non-transitory computer-readable program storage medium having stored thereon codes which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to implement the method according to one or more of claims 1 to 7.
