Description

Technical Field

[0001] The invention relates to a computer-aided production method for producing a workpiece by means of a processing device and for removing the produced workpiece from the processing device by means of a removal device having a plurality of suckers / suction cups. The invention also relates to a production system, a computer program and a computer-readable medium. Background Art

[0002] In particular, in the case of automated sheet metal processing machines, removal devices are used which remove the produced workpieces from the removal area of the sheet metal processing machine and deposit them in a designated storage area of the removal device, for example a pallet. This allows a high degree of autonomy of the sheet metal processing machine or operation with fewer personnel.

[0003] The corresponding removal device usually has a vacuum suction device, which is designed to pick up the workpiece to be removed. If the vacuum suction device is damaged and / or worn, it may not be able to remove the workpiece, which may cause the machine to stop or production to stop.

[0004] DE 10 2010 040 686 B3 discloses a method for operating a suction gripper with an electronic control for a suction frame having a plurality of suction grippers, wherein the control checks whether the suction frame is suitable for handling a removal task based on its actual state. The state includes the number and position of the suction grippers as well as the degree of wear and performance characteristics of the suction grippers. Furthermore, the matching of the arrangement of the suction grippers to the geometrical features of the part to be removed can be taken into account. As soon as the suction frame reaches a state that is unsuitable for handling, the control of the suction gripper issues an error message or rejects the removal task.

[0005] However, the methods known from the prior art only prevent incorrect removal of already manufactured parts. In order to still be able to remove already manufactured parts, additional removal devices or operators must be provided, which therefore increases the manufacturing costs. If the removal task to be processed cannot be performed by another removal device or operator, a production stoppage occurs due to the unsorted removal area of the processing device. In addition, the degree of autonomy of the manufacturing method is reduced, which means that the manufacturing is carried out in a less automated manner. Summary of the invention

[0006] Purpose of the Invention

[0007] The invention is based on the object of providing a method for operating a processing device, by which high production costs due to redundant removal methods and costly delays can be reduced while maintaining a high degree of autonomy. In addition, the object is to provide a corresponding production system, a computer program and a computer-readable medium.

[0008] According to the invention, this object is achieved by a computer-aided method according to claim 1. This object is also achieved by a manufacturing system according to claim 11, a computer program according to claim 12 and a computer-readable medium according to claim 13.

[0009] According to the present invention, a computer-aided manufacturing method is provided, which is suitable for manufacturing at least one workpiece using a processing device according to a manufacturing task.

[0010] The manufacturing method is also suitable for taking out the manufactured workpiece from the processing device using a take-out device. The take-out device has a plurality of suckers, in particular a large number of suckers. As the number of suckers increases, the manufacturing method can be performed particularly efficiently.

[0011] The manufacturing method comprises at least the following steps:

[0012] - determining a suction device state of a plurality of suction devices, in particular of each suction device;

[0013] - based on the provided workpiece geometry of the workpiece to be removed, determining a suction device which is available for removing the workpiece;

[0014] - Predictions for successful removal of the workpiece are made based on the extractor status of the extractors available for removal.

[0015] According to the invention, the manufacturing task is performed by the processing device if successful removal of the manufactured workpiece can be performed by the removal device.

[0016] In other words, the method according to the invention provides that the processing device is used for the production of workpieces only if subsequent removal by the removal device can be ensured. This prevents possible production stops caused by workpieces that cannot be removed, for example blocking the removal area of the processing device. This is particularly advantageous during so-called unmanned shifts, during which intervention by an operator is difficult or even impossible.

[0017] The manufacturing method is provided so that the manufacturing task is transmitted to the processing device. The manufacturing task is usually provided to the processing device in a digital format readable by the processing device. The manufacturing task contains the manufacturing information required for manufacturing the workpiece. The manufacturing information can be in the form of workpiece parameters such as workpiece geometry, position specifications and / or workpiece contours, and / or in the form of processing parameters such as feed rate and / or laser power. This should not be understood as an exhaustive list.

[0018] Before the processing device performs or accepts a manufacturing task, the multiple extractors of the removal device, in particular the extractor status of each extractor, are determined. For example, the extractor status can be determined by measuring the negative pressure generated and / or measuring the wear of the extractor sealing lip in contact with the workpiece.

[0019] The aspirator state of each aspirator is usually recorded, in particular electronically stored. Preferably, the aspirator state is incorporated into the other aspirator information of the aspirator. The aspirator information may for example include performance characteristics of the aspirator, in particular the holding force of the aspirator and / or position information of the aspirator. The aspirator information may be provided by a take-out device.

[0020] The method according to the invention is also arranged to use the workpiece geometry to obtain the available aspirator. In other words, the workpiece geometry of the workpiece to be manufactured is compared with the movable aspirator of the removal device. For example, a movable aspirator that can be arranged in the workpiece geometry of the workpiece to be removed to remove the workpiece can be obtained as an available aspirator. Further, this can be achieved, for example, by geometrically comparing the aspirator position with the workpiece geometry of the workpiece to be removed.

[0021] According to the invention, it is then provided that the successful removal of the workpiece is predicted based on the extractor status of the extractors available for removal. In other words, it is possible to predict whether successful removal is possible by checking whether the extractor status of the available extractors is sufficient for successful removal of the workpiece. For example, the state-dependent holding forces of the available extractors can be added up, wherein the added holding force must be sufficient to overcome the weight of the workpiece in order to lift the workpiece.

[0022] If successful removal of the workpiece by the removal device is predicted, it is provided that the manufacturing task is performed by the processing device. In other words, the workpiece to be manufactured according to the manufacturing task is only manufactured after it is confirmed that it can be successfully removed by the removal device later. In the case where it is predicted that the removal of the manufactured workpiece by the removal device is impossible, it can be provided, for example, that the manufacturing task is rejected by the processing device. In these cases, the processing device can be used to manufacture workpieces that can be successfully removed by the removal device according to other manufacturing tasks.

[0023] In a preferred embodiment of the computer-aided manufacturing method, successful removal is predicted by analyzing the workpiece geometry of the workpiece to be removed. By analyzing the workpiece geometry, workpiece information that is beneficial to the removal of the workpiece and cannot be directly obtained from the workpiece geometry can be obtained. In particular, it is possible to determine the uneven distribution of the material, which may cause a tilting moment on the aspirator when removing, for example. The tilting moment can, for example, cause the workpiece to peel off from the aspirator, which may cause the removal by the removal device to fail. In addition, by analyzing the workpiece geometry, recesses and / or unevenness on the workpiece can be obtained. Recesses and / or unevenness can make it difficult or impossible to grab with a suction device, which means that the suction device cannot be used during removal even if it is in the best suction device state. In this way, incorrect or unsuccessful removal can be prevented.

[0024] Further preferred is an embodiment of the computer-aided production method in which the workpiece geometry is provided as part of the production task. This makes the method particularly fast and simple.

[0025] Particularly preferred is an embodiment of the computer-aided manufacturing method in which the successful removal is predicted based on workpiece characteristic parameters of the workpiece to be removed, such as weight, material, surface quality and / or center of gravity. This makes it possible to predict the performance of the suction device when removing the workpiece and thus more accurately predict the probability of removal.

[0026] Further preferred is the following embodiment of the computer-aided manufacturing method, in which the minimum number of suction points required for removing the workpiece is determined. In other words, the suction points on the workpiece that are least required for the successful removal of the workpiece can be determined. If the corresponding minimum number of suction devices with sufficient suction device status can be allocated, successful removal can be predicted. In other words, at least one suction device is allocated to each required suction point. Preferably, the performance characteristics required at the required suction points, such as holding force, that the allocated suction devices must have are determined. Thus, if an suction device is beyond the minimum number of required suction devices, the insufficient suction device status of the suction device can be ignored when removing the workpiece. The probability of removal can be further improved thereby.

[0027] In a preferred embodiment of the computer-aided manufacturing method, at least one suction point arrangement / layout of the suction points required for removing the workpiece, distributed on the workpiece geometry, is determined. If a suction device with a sufficient suction device state can be assigned to the suction points of the suction device arrangement, a successful removal can be predicted. In other words, the removal device must be able to assign a suction device arrangement corresponding to the suction point arrangement determined. In addition, it can be provided that a plurality of suction point arrangements, in particular a large number of suction point arrangements, are determined. As a result, the workpiece can be removed by various possible combinations of the suction devices in the suction device arrangement, which can increase the flexibility of removal.

[0028] Also preferred is an embodiment of a computer-aided manufacturing method in which a plurality of workpieces are manufactured according to a manufacturing task. In other words, a manufacturing task involves the manufacture of a plurality of workpieces, in particular a large number of workpieces. If the removal of each workpiece to be manufactured can be performed by a removal device, the manufacturing task can be performed by a processing machine. In other words, a removal probability is determined for each workpiece to be manufactured. This can further reduce manufacturing stops.

[0029] In a preferred embodiment of the computer-aided manufacturing method, the manufacturing tasks are provided from a task reserve having a plurality of manufacturing tasks. The task reserve preferably includes a plurality of manufacturing tasks, in particular a large number of manufacturing tasks. In this case, the manufacturing tasks can be automatically selected from the task reserve depending on the workpieces that can be removed by the removal device. This allows the provision of manufacturing tasks to be adapted to the removal capabilities of the removal device.

[0030] Further preferred is the following embodiment of the computer-aided manufacturing method, which is provided with at least two processing devices and at least two removal devices, wherein the manufacturing tasks that cannot be performed by the first processing device are assigned to the second processing device. In this respect, it can be that the removal of the workpiece to be manufactured by the first removal device is predicted to be unfeasible, while the removal of the workpiece to be manufactured by the second removal device is possible. In this case, the manufacturing tasks can be redistributed to ensure that the workpiece is manufactured in the fastest and most timely manner possible.

[0031] Further preferred is an embodiment of the machine management method in which a self-learning algorithm, in particular a neural network, is used to predict successful removals. This makes it possible to incorporate a plurality of influencing variables on the removal probability to be predetermined, which makes the prediction more precise.

[0032] In addition to the already mentioned influencing variables such as the state of the extractor and the geometry of the workpiece, the probability of removal can also be influenced, for example, by the position of the extractor, the arrangement of the extractor, the arrangement of the suction points, the number of suction points, the workpiece material to be used, the thickness of the workpiece, the geometry of the workpiece, the number of workpieces to be removed, the number of different workpiece geometries to be removed, the material and / or the workpiece surface, the overall machine state of the machining device and / or the removal device, and / or the position of the workpiece in the removal area. In addition, it can be provided that other influencing variables that influence the probability of removal of the workpiece are included.

[0033] The self-learning algorithm is preferably trained using a plurality of influencing variables obtained, and the influence of the influencing variables obtained on the removal probability to be predetermined is known. Generally, the influencing variables obtained can exist as a data set (Datenverbund) associated with each manufacturing task whose removal result is known. The influencing variables can be provided manually by the operator or automatically by the machine. For example, it can be arranged that one or more influencing variables are obtained when processing or performing a manufacturing task and one or more influencing variables are recorded or stored in a summary as a data set. The removal result of the manufacturing task - or whether it is successfully removed or unsuccessfully removed by the removal device - can be assigned to the data set. The removal result can be obtained manually by the operator and / or automatically determined by the removal device. For example, it can be arranged that if the removal device stops the removal, the negative removal result is automatically added to the data set; and / or, if the removal is successful, the positive removal result is automatically added to the data set. In addition, for example, it can be arranged that the operator determines the successful removal performed by the removal device and manually assigns the removal result to the corresponding data set.

[0034] Preferably, the influencing variables are collected for a plurality of production tasks in order to increase the accuracy of the prediction. The influencing variables are preferably transmitted by means of known data transmission from a plurality of machines and / or operators to a central data storage device, which serves as the basis for the self-learning algorithm.

[0035] The underlying object is also achieved by a manufacturing system comprising a manufacturing controller configured to perform the method described above.

[0036] The production system has at least one processing device and at least one removal device. The at least one processing device is preferably designed as a sheet metal processing device, in particular a laser cutting machine. The removal device is preferably designed as a suction gripper device with a plurality of suction devices.

[0037] The manufacturing controller can be configured to distribute manufacturing tasks. The manufacturing controller can be integrated into the controller of the processing device and / or the removal device. Preferably, the manufacturing controller is designed as a separate component of the manufacturing system, whereby the manufacturing method can be particularly easily extended to further processing devices and removal devices.

[0038] The suction devices can be arranged individually and / or in a collection of suction devices, for example in a suction frame. The removal device can have a plurality of suction devices. Suction devices and / or collections of suction devices can be used individually or together to remove workpieces. The suction devices can be movable, in particular relative to each other, individually and / or in a collection.

[0039] Furthermore, the underlying object is achieved by a computer program product on a data carrier for carrying out the method described above.

[0040] Furthermore, the underlying object is achieved by a computer-readable medium comprising the previously described computer program product for performing the previously described method.

[0041] Further features and advantages of the present invention can be found in the specification, claims and drawings. According to the present invention, the above-mentioned features and the features to be further described can be used alone or together in any desired advantageous combination. The embodiments shown and described should not be understood as exhaustive, but should be understood as having exemplary characteristics for describing the present invention. [0049] Figure 1 A schematic representation of a manufacturing system 10 is shown having a processing device 12 (e.g., in the form of a laser cutter), a take-out device 14, a prediction unit 16, and a manufacturing controller 18. The manufacturing controller 18 is configured to communicate with the processing device 12 and the take-out device 14. The manufacturing system 10 may have a plurality of processing devices 12 and / or a plurality of take-out devices 14, which preferably all communicate with the manufacturing controller 18.

[0050] The manufacturing controller 18 is generally designed to organize and schedule manufacturing tasks 20. The manufacturing tasks 20 generally contain manufacturing information about one or more workpieces 22 to be manufactured. The manufacturing information can be, for example, information about the workpiece geometry (e.g., the contour to be manufactured), the workpiece position and / or the manufacturing quality. The manufacturing controller 18 can be designed as a part of the processing device 12 and / or the removal device 14 and / or as a separate component as shown.

[0051] The processing device 12 is designed to produce a workpiece 22 according to a manufacturing task 20. For this purpose, it can be provided that the manufacturing controller 18 transmits one or more manufacturing tasks 20 to the processing device 12. For example, it can be provided that a laser cutting machine receives a manufacturing task 20 for cutting a workpiece 22 from a flat raw material.

[0052] The at least one produced workpiece 22 is usually removed from a removal area 24 of the processing device 12 by a preferably automated removal device 14 and placed in a corresponding storage area (not shown in detail) for further processing.

[0053] To this end, the removal device 14 has a plurality of suction devices 26. The suction devices 26 are designed in conjunction with the workpiece 22 to be removed so as to generate negative pressure at the contact point with the workpiece 22, which causes the workpiece 22 to adhere to the one or more suction devices 26. When the workpiece 22 is held on the one or more suction devices 26, the workpiece follows the movement of the suction devices and can thus be transported to the storage area. In order to put down the workpiece 22, the negative pressure generated at the contact point is released and the connection between the workpiece 22 and the one or more suction devices 26 is released.

[0054] The removal device 14 comprises: a measuring device (not shown in detail) for determining the suction device state of multiple, in particular each suction device 26. The suction device state can then be transmitted as an influencing variable 28 to the prediction unit 16, which stores the influencing variable 28 related to the suction device state. In addition to the suction device state, the influencing variable 28 can contain other suction device information, in particular the position and / or the holding force of each suction device 26. In addition, the prediction unit 16 is designed to store the workpiece geometry of the workpiece 22 to be manufactured in the form of influencing variables 30. The workpiece geometry can be manually provided to the prediction unit 16. Preferably, the workpiece geometry is automatically transmitted by the manufacturing controller 18, the processing device 12 and / or the removal device 14.

[0055] Figure 2 Schematic representation of a manufacturing method 32 according to the present invention is shown. For better explanation, reference is made to the manufacturing system 10 in Figure 1 Components shown in .

[0056] In a first method step 34 , the suction device states of a plurality of suction devices 26 of the removal device 14 are determined. The suction device states are then recorded and preferably stored in the prediction unit 16 .

[0057] In a further method step 36, the suction devices 26 of the removal device 14 that are available for removing the workpiece 22 to be produced are determined. For this purpose, the provided workpiece geometry of the workpiece 22 to be produced is used as a basis. For example, the following suction devices 26 of the removal device 14 can be determined as available suction devices 26: the suction devices 26 can be moved over the workpiece geometry to be arranged on the workpiece 22 to be removed.

[0058] In a further method step 38, a probability of removal of the workpiece 22 to be removed is predicted by means of the available suction devices 26. For example, the prediction of the probability of removal can be based on the fact that, in order to lift the workpiece 22 to be removed, the accumulated holding force of the suction devices 26 available for removal, which depends on the suction device state, exceeds the weight force of the workpiece 22 in the opposite direction.

[0059] If successful removal of the workpiece 22 is predicted or predetermined, the workpiece 22 to be produced is produced by the processing device 12 according to a further method step 40. In other words, the production task 20 transmitted to the processing device 12 is executed by the processing device 12.

[0060] In the event that the workpiece 22 to be manufactured cannot be removed by the removal device 14, it is provided that the workpiece 22 to be manufactured is not manufactured by the processing device 12. In other words, the manufacturing task 20 is rejected by the processing device 12. This can prevent a manufacturing stoppage caused by a blockage of the removal area 24 of the processing device 12 due to incorrect and / or unfeasible removal of the manufactured workpiece 22.

[0061] Figure 3 A schematic representation of a suction test diagram 42 of a removal device 14 with a plurality of suction devices 26 is shown (for reasons of clarity, only one suction device 26 is provided with a reference numeral). The suction device test diagram 42 can be understood as a graphical representation of the suction device state determination. The arrangement of the suction devices 26 according to the suction device test diagram 42 can correspond to the actual arrangement of the suction devices 26 on the removal device 12. The suction devices 26 can have fixed coordinates, which make it possible to determine the suction device position on the removal device 14 or on the workpiece 22 to be removed (see Figure 1 ) above.

[0062] As shown, the determination of the state of the aspirator by a suitable test device can show that the removal device 14 has one or more defective aspirators 44 (shown here in black). A defective aspirator 44 may, for example, have only a reduced holding force, which is caused, for example, by a leak or a valve defect of the aspirator.

[0063] Figure 4 and Figure 5 A schematic representation of a possible workpiece 22a, 22b to be produced is shown in each case.

[0064] The workpieces 22a and 22b differ from each other in their workpiece geometries. For example, the workpiece 22a has an L-shaped workpiece contour, while the workpiece 22b has a rectangular workpiece contour.

[0065] Both the workpiece 22a and the workpiece 22b each have a plurality of suction points 46. According to the example shown, the workpiece 22a has eighteen suction points 46 and the workpiece 22b has twelve suction points 46.

[0066] An analysis of the workpiece geometry 22a can, for example, show that not all suction points 46 are necessary for lifting the workpiece 22a. The required suction points 48a to 48c can be significantly fewer in number, as shown (hatched). In the example shown, the workpiece 22a has three required suction points 48a to 48c. The number of required suction points 48a to 48c can depend on the position of the required suction points 48a.

[0067] The workpiece 22b has a first suction point arrangement 50a with three required suction points 52a to 52c. Analysis of the workpiece geometry can result in a second suction point arrangement 50b with required suction points 54a, 54b. Due to the arrangement of the required suction points 54a, 54b, the second suction point arrangement 50b can have a smaller number of required suction points 54a, 54b.

[0068] Figure 6 The prediction of successful removal of the workpieces 22a, 22b based on the extractor status on the extractor test map 42 is shown graphically.

[0069] The workpieces 22a, 22b can be transferred to the processing device 12 for production in a common production order or in two independent production orders 20. The production order 20 can have workpiece positions and / or predetermined suction device positions for removing the workpieces 22a, 22b.

[0070] As shown, the available suction device 26 for removal can be determined based on the workpiece geometry. The available suction device 26 can be, for example, a removal device 14 (see Figure 1) can be arranged on the workpiece geometry. In the example shown, a plurality of defective aspirators 44 are located within the workpiece geometry of the workpiece 22a. Due to the reduced holding force of the defective aspirators 44, the accumulated holding force for lifting the workpiece 22 may be insufficient. In this case, the probability of removal of the workpiece 22a can be predicted to be low. Due to the low probability of removal, it can be provided that the manufacturing task 20 for the workpiece 22a is rejected by the processing device 12. This can prevent manufacturing stops caused by removal failures.

[0071] As shown, the extractor test image 42 has only intact extractors 26 within the workpiece geometry 22b. The probability of removal for the workpiece 22b can be predicted to be high. Due to the high expected probability of successful removal, it can be set that the manufacturing task 20 for the workpiece 22b is performed by the processing device 12.

[0072] Figure 7 Shown for Figure 6 A further improvement of the prediction method for the workpiece 22a in the removal device 12 is provided. A further improvement can increase the probability of removal by removing the workpiece 22a with the aid of a further extractor 26 of the removal device 12. In other words, the predetermined relative removal position of the removal device 12 relative to the workpiece 22a is changed so that a good extractor 26 can be arranged on the workpiece geometry. In other words, a defective extractor 44 is bypassed in the removal. This can increase the cumulative holding force, thereby achieving successful removal. In the illustrated case, it can be arranged that the manufacturing task 20 for manufacturing the workpiece 22a is performed by the processing device 12.
