In particular, although the absorbent articles are disposable, the signaling device is intended to be used with multiple absorbent articles. Therefore, a simple and efficient method of connecting the signaling device to the pad members provides various advantages. In one particular embodiment, for instance, the pad members comprise a conductive loop-type material that is attached to a corresponding conductive hook-type material on the signaling device.

Irrigation systems, moisture sensors and related methods having a sensor embedded in the ground to sense moisture and help control watering. The sensor is responsive to capacitance changes from ground moisture variations. The sensor uses spaced insulated electrodes which are mounted within a granular filled chamber within a water-permeable shell. The sensor is mounted as part of a ground unit that also includes a high frequency driver that excites the sensor. The ground unit further has a detector circuit which produces a moisture indicating signal based on the capacitance which varies with ground moisture. Also disclosed are controllers that electrically isolate the ground units so that reliable moisture signals can be obtained and used to control irrigation. The controllers can be configured to provide multiple zone operation using a shared controller having shared or independent moisture adjusters.

The speed control may include a time delay circuit and single pole, double throw relay. The speed control is used to slow the speed of the air cycler during the initial stage of a cooling cycle. This initial stage is typically the first 5–7 minutes of the air conditioning cycle. In a further aspect, a humidistat is operably associated with the system for detection of humidity levels within the air of a home or other structure. The system is programmed to close the motorized outside air damper in the event that humidity levels exceed a predetermined level, thereby limiting further entry of humid outside air into the home.

The result shows that under the drought stress, the fine compost increases the biomass of the tall fescue to a certain extent, and the research result of growth of root systems of lawn plants can be basically met by matching the compost with the substrate for cultivating turf.

Automatic Sprinkler and Irrigation System

The present invention provides an irrigation system that allows user to input two soil moisture levels, i.e., the Dry Value and the Wet Value, by conducting a manual watering cycle, i.e., turning on the valves through a Controller when the soil needs watering and turning off the valves when the soil is sufficiently wet. The Controller keeps the soil moisture between the Dry and Wet Values by automatically turning on the valves when the soil moisture reaches the Dry Value, and turning off the valves when soil moisture reaches the Wet Value, at the user-determined desirable watering time periods of the day. In larger areas, the ground could be divided into multiple zones. The Controller could apply different Dry and Wet Values to different zones. The system's simplicity is further enhanced by the solar powered wireless moisture sensors.
