[0034] As shown in FIG. 1A For example, the system 100 may, for example, include a terminal device 102, a server 106 and a database server 108. The terminal device 102, the server 106 and the database server 108 may, for example, include a medium (for example, a network) providing a communication link therebetween. The network may, for example, include various connection types, such as wired, wireless communication links or optical fiber cables, etc.

[0035] Various application programs (APPs) or software may, for example, be installed on the terminal device 102, such as video editing application programs or software, video application programs or software, live broadcast application programs or software, collaborative office application programs or software, image processing application programs or software, video conference application programs or software, reading application programs or software, social application programs or software, payment application programs or software, web browsers and instant messaging tools, etc.

[0036] The terminal device 102 herein can be hardware or software. When the terminal device 102 is hardware, it can be various electronic devices or computer devices with a display screen, including but not limited to a smart phone, a tablet computer, an e-book reader, an MP3 player, a laptop computer (Laptop), a desktop computer (PC), and the like. When the terminal device 102 is software, it can be installed in the above-listed electronic devices. It can be implemented as multiple software or software modules (for example, to provide distributed services) or as a single software or software module. No specific limitation is made herein.

[0037] The server 106 can be a server providing various services, for example, a background server providing support for various applications or software displayed on the terminal device 102. The database server 108 can also be a database server providing various services. It can be understood that, in the case where the server 106 can implement the related functions of the database server 108, the database server 108 can not be arranged in the system 100.

[0038] The server 106 and the database server 108 herein can also be hardware or software. When they are hardware, they can be implemented as a distributed server cluster composed of multiple servers or as a single server. When they are software, they can be implemented as multiple software or software modules (for example, to provide distributed services) or as a single software or software module. No specific limitation is made herein.

[0039] It should be noted that the video processing method provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure can be executed by the terminal device 102 or interactively executed by the devices in the system 100. It should be understood that, FIG. 1A The number of terminal devices, users, servers, and database servers in the system 100 is only illustrative. According to the implementation needs, there can be any number of terminal devices, users, servers, and database servers.

[0040] In some example scenarios, the user 104 can edit a video through a video editing application or software installed in the terminal device 102. Optionally, when editing the video, two or more video clips can be added and spliced to obtain a longer video. In some scenarios, a transition can also be added at the splicing position of the video clips to realize the transition between the video clips, thereby improving the presentation effect of the video.

[0041] However, the inventors of the present disclosure find that, in the related art, the transition materials in the video editing application or software are realized through transition templates developed by designers or creators, the effect is single, and the production is limited.

[0042] Therefore, in a first aspect, the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a video processing method, which can solve or partially solve the above problems to some extent.

[0043] FIG. 1B A schematic diagram of an exemplary video editing page 110 is shown.

[0044] Exemplarily, the user 104 can open a video editing application or software by using the terminal device 102 to edit a video. As shown in FIG. 1B The terminal device 102 can display a video editing page 110. In the initial state, the video editing page 110 can be the home page of the video editing application or software. Optionally, the video editing page 110 can provide various editing tools, and the user can select a specific editing tool according to the needs to edit the video accordingly.

[0045] As shown in FIG. 1B Optionally, the video editing page 110 can include a creation control 112 for providing an entry for the user to edit the video freely. Exemplarily, in response to a triggering operation (for example, clicking the creation control 112) of the creation control 112, the terminal device 102 can display a video selection page 120, as shown in FIG. 1C

[0046] Optionally, the video selection page 120 can present multimedia resources stored in the terminal device 102 for subsequent video editing processing. As shown in FIG. 1C Exemplarily, after jumping from the video editing page 110 to the video selection page 120, the video selection page 120 can display thumbnails 122 of videos stored in the terminal device 102 by default, and the thumbnails 122 can display key frames of the corresponding videos to facilitate the user to select the videos. The user 104 can select the videos for subsequent video editing according to the thumbnails 122. Optionally, the thumbnails 122 of each video are associated with a selection button 1222 (for example, a circle-shaped icon) at a certain position (for example, the upper right corner). By selecting the selection button 1222, the corresponding video is selected for subsequent video editing. Optionally, the style of the selection button 1222 in the selected state is different from that of the selection button 1222 in the unselected state, so as to facilitate the user to distinguish. Exemplarily, as shown in FIG. 1C the style of the selection button 1222 in the selected state is a solid circle, and the style of the selection button 1222 in the unselected state is a hollow circle. Optionally, the thumbnails 122 of each video are also associated with a time length 1224 of the corresponding video at a certain position (for example, the lower right corner), so as to further facilitate the user to select the videos.

[0047] In some embodiments, asFIG. 1C As shown, the video selection page 120 also provides an entry point for importing materials, allowing users to import other materials for subsequent video editing. Furthermore, the video selection page 120 also provides an entry point for generating videos from text, allowing users to create videos by entering text for later editing. This provides users with more operational space and improves the convenience of video editing.

[0048] Optionally, such as FIG. 1C As shown, after selecting a video, user 104 can access the video editing page 200 by triggering the add button 124 to further edit the selected video.

[0049] FIG. 2A A schematic diagram of another exemplary video editing page 200 according to an embodiment of this disclosure is shown.

[0050] like FIG. 2A As shown, after user 104 completes the video selection, terminal device 102 can display video editing page 200, where user 104 can process the selected video. It should be noted that some embodiments of this disclosure can generate a target video based on two or more added videos, and transition videos can be set at the splicing positions of multiple videos. Therefore, the added videos can be considered as video segments of the target video; in the following embodiments, "video segment" will be used to refer to the videos added in the aforementioned embodiments.

[0051] In some embodiments, such as FIG. 2A As shown, the video editing page 200 may include a video editing area 200A for performing various editing operations on the selected video segment. Optionally, as... FIG. 2A As shown, the video editing page 200 may also include a video preview area 200B for previewing the edited target video.

[0052] Optionally, such as FIG. 2A As shown, the video editing area 200A may include a video original sound switch button 202. When the video original sound switch button 202 is turned on, the original sound of the video clip can be retained in the final generated target video. When the video original sound switch button 202 is turned off, the original sound of the video clip can be cleared and will not appear in the final generated target video. Optionally, as... FIG. 2A As shown, the video editing area 200A may include an audio track 210, through which users can add audio to the target video or video clip. In particular, when the original sound of the video is turned off, the audio added by the user through the audio track 210 can be used to add the desired sound or audio to the target video.

[0053] Optionally, as shown in FIG. 2A , the video editing area 200A can further include a cover setting control 204 for setting a cover for the target video. After triggering the cover setting control 204, the user 104 can select a video frame from the video frames of the selected video segments as the cover, or select a picture stored in the terminal device 102 as the cover. In this way, the cover of the target video can be customized, and the user experience can be improved. Optionally, as shown in FIG. 2A , the video editing area 200A can further include a plurality of editing tools, such as a clip tool (lower left corner of FIG. 2A ). By selecting a corresponding editing tool, editing can be performed on the added video segments or audio segments. For example, after clicking the clip tool, the video segments can be clipped, for example, the unnecessary parts of the video segments can be cropped.

[0054] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2A , the video editing area 200A can further include a video track 208, and the added video segments can be arranged in the video track 208 in the order of addition. Optionally, the video track 208 is further provided with a video adding control 206 for further adding video segments to the video track 208 for splicing.

[0055] Optionally, as shown in FIG. 2A , the video segments in the video track 208 can be presented in the form of video frame thumbnails. The video frame thumbnail can be a key frame thumbnail of the video segment, or a thumbnail of all video frames of the video segment, and can be arranged in the video track 208 according to the order of the video frames in the video segment, so that the user 104 can scroll through the video segments by performing a sliding operation on the video track 208. For example, the user 104 performs a sliding operation on the video track 208 in a first direction (for example, the horizontal left direction of FIG. 2B ). The video track 208 is scrolled accordingly and presents the first video segment 2082 and the second video segment 2084, as shown in FIG. 2B . Optionally, as shown in FIG. 2B , a transition control 212 can be provided between the adjacent first video segment 2082 and the second video segment 2084, for adding a transition video at the splicing position of the first video segment 2082 and the second video segment 2084. It can be understood that when multiple video segments are added to the video track 208, a transition control 212 can be provided between each two adjacent video segments for adding a transition video at the corresponding splicing position. In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2B , the video editing area 200A can further include a transition editing tool 214, which can also be used to add a transition video at the splicing position of adjacent video segments.

[0056] As mentioned earlier, in related technologies, transition materials are usually achieved through transition templates developed by designers and creators, which have limited effects and output.

[0057] In view of this, in some embodiments, a flexible transition effect can be achieved by automatically generating a video as the transition video.

[0058] For example, the terminal device 102 displays FIG. 2B In the case of the video editing page 200, in response to a video generation request, at least one first candidate video frame and at least one second candidate video frame can be displayed in the video editing area 200A. The at least one first candidate video frame and the at least one second candidate video frame are respectively used to select target video frames as the basis for generating a transition video. The at least one first candidate video frame can be selected from a first target video segment, and the at least one second candidate video frame can be selected from a second target video segment. The first target video segment and the second target video segment can be selected from adjacent video segments presented in the video editing area 200A. Accordingly, the generated transition video can be used to connect the first target video segment and the second target video segment. Thus, by selecting video frames from the first target video segment and the second target video segment to generate the transition video, the transition video can better connect the first target video segment and the second target video segment.

[0059] In some embodiments, in response to a triggering operation of a target transition control, a video generation request can be generated, thereby allowing entry into the transition editing process. For example, as... FIG. 2B As shown, user 104 triggers transition control 212, which can generate the video generation request. At this time, transition control 212 can be considered the target transition control. After triggering the target transition control, it can be determined that the video segments on both sides of the target transition control are the first target video segment and the second target video segment. For example, as... FIG. 2C As shown, the first video segment 2082 and the second video segment 2084 can be used as the first target video segment and the second target video segment, respectively. Next, at least one first candidate video frame can be determined from the first target video segment, and at least one second candidate video frame can be determined from the second target video segment. Then, the at least one first candidate video frame and the at least one second candidate video frame are displayed in the video editing area 200A for selection by the user 104.

[0060] In some embodiments, such as FIG. 2CAs shown, in response to the video generation request, the terminal device 102 can display a transition editing panel in the video editing area 200A for editing, processing, and other operations on the transitions. Optionally, as... FIG. 2B As shown, the transition editing panel can be replaced. FIG. 2C The display content of the video editing area 200A is expanded to provide more operational space for transition editing operations. For example, as shown... FIG. 2C As shown, the transition editing panel can further display at least one first candidate video frame 2082A and at least one second candidate video frame 2084A, wherein the at least one first candidate video frame 2082A is selected from the first video segment 2082 and the at least one second candidate video frame 2084A is selected from the second video segment 2084.

[0061] In some embodiments, in response to the video generation request, when the displayed content of the video editing area 200A is replaced with the transition editing panel, the displayed content of the transition editing panel may not be... FIG. 2D The content shown can be either existing transition materials, such as transition templates developed by designers or creators. For example, such as... FIG. 2D As shown, in response to the video generation request, the video can be displayed first. FIG. 2D The transition editing panel shown can display multiple transition clips 218, which can be used to add transitions between the first target video clip and the second target video clip. Optionally, when the transition editing panel is first displayed, popular clips can be displayed by default. These popular clips can be transition clips that are used frequently or have a high usage frequency. In this way, by providing popular clips to the user, the time spent by the user to study transition clips can be reduced, making operation easier and improving the user experience. For example, the user 104 can select the desired transition clip from the transition editing panel and then click the OK button 220 to add a transition video with the effect of the selected transition clip between the first target video clip and the second target video clip.

[0062] like FIG. 2C As shown, in some embodiments, the transition editing panel also includes a transition generation control 216. In response to the triggering of the transition generation control 216, the transition material 218 in the transition editing panel can be replaced with at least one first candidate video frame 2082A and at least one second candidate video frame 2084A, such as... FIG. 2C As shown. At this time, the transition editing panel displays the content used to generate the transition video, and user 104 can generate the transition video by performing corresponding operations in the transition editing panel.

[0063] In some cases, the transition video added between the first target video segment and the second target video segment can be embedded between them. In other words, to embed the transition video, the end of the first target video segment needs to be cropped, and the beginning of the second target video segment needs to be cropped, thus providing space for the transition video to be embedded and achieving a smooth transition with the first and second target video segments. Therefore, to achieve a better transition effect, the duration of the first and second target video segments needs to be limited. Optionally, upon entering... FIG. 2D When the page is displayed (e.g., the transition generation control 216 is triggered), in response to the duration of the first target video segment and / or the second target video segment being less than the preset duration (e.g., 1 second), a prompt message (e.g., "Segment too short to use transition effect") can be displayed in the transition editing panel. This prompt message is used to inform the user 104 that the duration of the currently selected video segment does not meet the requirements. Alternatively, when entering... FIG. 2C When the page is displayed, in response to the duration of the first target video segment and / or the second target video segment being less than a preset duration (e.g., 0.5s, 1s, etc.), the prompt information is displayed at the associated position (e.g., above) of the transition generation control 216; or, when the user 104 clicks the transition generation control 216, it is not displayed. FIG. 2C Instead of displaying the page shown, the prompt message is displayed at an associated location (e.g., above) of the transition generation control 216.

[0064] As mentioned earlier, in some cases, it is necessary to trim the first target video segment and the second target video segment, and to ensure a smooth transition, the trimmed video segment needs to have a certain duration (e.g., 0.5 seconds or 12 frames). Therefore, in some embodiments, at least one first candidate video frame can be determined from the first target video segment based on its first duration; and at least one second candidate video frame can be determined from the second target video segment based on its second duration. In this way, determining candidate video frames based on the duration of the video segments allows the transition video generated from the selected video frames to be better integrated with the trimmed video segment.

[0065] In some embodiments, determining the at least one first candidate video frame from the first target video segment based on the first duration of the first target video segment includes:

[0066] In response to detecting that the first duration is equal to a first threshold (e.g., 1 s), the at least one first candidate video frame is determined to be the last video frame of the first target video segment;

[0067] In response to detecting that the first duration is greater than the first threshold and less than a second threshold (e.g., 2s), determining that the at least one first candidate video frame is a first tail video frame located at a tail of the first target video segment; wherein a first number of the first tail video frame is determined based on a first difference between the first duration and the first threshold;

[0068] In response to detecting that the first duration is greater than or equal to the second threshold, determining that the at least one first candidate video frame is a second tail video frame located at the tail of the first target video segment; wherein a second number of the second tail video frame is determined based on a second difference between the first threshold and the second threshold.

[0069] Exemplarily, assuming that the first threshold is 1s and the second threshold is 2s, when the first duration is 1s, the at least one first candidate video frame is only the last video frame of the first target video segment; when the first duration is greater than 1s and less than 2s (e.g., the first duration is 1.2s), the at least one first candidate video frame is a first tail video frame located at the tail of the first target video segment, and a first number of the first tail video frame can be determined according to the first difference between the first duration and the first threshold. For example, the first duration is 1.2s, 1.2s-1s=0.2s, and then a predetermined number of first tail video frames are selected from the tail of the first target video segment according to the video duration of 0.2s to be the first candidate video frames. In some embodiments, due to the limited display space of the transition editing panel, the display number of candidate video frames can have an upper limit, for example, the first candidate video frame is displayed for a maximum of 24 frames, and therefore, when the first duration of the first target video segment is greater than or equal to the second threshold, the display number of the first candidate video frame satisfies the display number upper limit, and then a corresponding number of second tail video frames are selected from the tail of the first target video segment according to the display number upper limit to be the at least one first candidate video frame. Wherein the second number of the second tail video frame is determined based on the second difference between the first threshold and the second threshold. Exemplarily, the first threshold is 1s, the second threshold is 2s, and the second number is the number of video frames corresponding to 2s-1s=1s, for example, 24 frames. In some embodiments, as described above, in order to ensure the transition effect, the first duration of the first target video segment cannot be less than a preset duration, which can be the first threshold, and therefore, when the first duration is detected to be less than the first threshold, the first candidate video frame can not be displayed, but the aforementioned prompt information is displayed.

[0070] Through the above embodiments, the selection of the first candidate video frame according to the first duration of the first target video segment is realized, and the balance between the display of the candidate video frame and the transition effect can be achieved.

[0071] In some embodiments, determining the at least one second candidate video frame from the second target video segment based on a second duration of the second target video segment comprises:

[0072] In response to detecting that the second duration is equal to the first threshold (e.g., 1s), determining the at least one second candidate video frame as a first video frame of the second target video segment;

[0073] In response to detecting that the second duration is greater than the first threshold and less than a second threshold (e.g., 2s), determining the at least one second candidate video frame as a first front video frame located at a front portion of the second target video segment; wherein a third number of the first front video frame is determined based on a third difference between the second duration and the first threshold;

[0074] In response to detecting that the second duration is greater than or equal to the second threshold, determining the at least one second candidate video frame as a second front video frame located at the front portion of the second target video segment; wherein a fourth number of the second front video frame is determined based on the second difference between the first threshold and the second threshold.

[0075] Exemplarily, assuming that the first threshold value is 1s and the second threshold value is 2s, when the second duration is 1s, the at least one second candidate video frame is only the last video frame of the second target video segment; when the second duration is greater than 1s and less than 2s (for example, the second duration is 1.2s), the at least one second candidate video frame is the first front video frame located at the tail of the second target video segment, and the third quantity of the first front video frame can be determined according to a third difference value between the second duration and the first threshold value. For example, the second duration is 1.2s, 1.2s-1s=0.2s, and then a predetermined quantity of first front video frames are selected from the front of the second target video segment according to the video duration of 0.2s to be the second candidate video frames. In some embodiments, due to the limited display space of the transition editing panel, the display quantity of the candidate video frames can have an upper limit, for example, the second candidate video frames are displayed at most 24 frames, and thus, when the duration of the second target video segment is greater than or equal to the second threshold value, the display quantity of the second candidate video frames satisfies the display quantity upper limit, and then a corresponding quantity of second front video frames are selected from the front of the second target video segment according to the display quantity upper limit to be the at least one second candidate video frame. The second quantity of the second front video frame is determined based on a second difference value between the first threshold value and the second threshold value. Exemplarily, the first threshold value is 1s, the second threshold value is 2s, and the second quantity is the quantity of video frames corresponding to 2s-1s=1s, for example, 24 frames. In some embodiments, as described above, in order to guarantee the transition effect, the second duration of the second target video segment cannot be less than a preset duration, and the preset duration can be the first threshold value, and thus, when it is detected that the second duration is less than the first threshold value, the first candidate video frame can not be presented, but the aforementioned prompt information is displayed.

[0076] Through the above embodiments, the selection of the second candidate video frame according to the second duration of the second target video segment is realized, and the balance between the display of the candidate video frame and the transition effect can be achieved.

[0077] Continuing to refer to FIG. 2C , then the user 104 can determine a first target video frame from the at least one first candidate video frame and determine a second target video frame from the at least one second candidate video frame to generate a transition video.

[0078] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2C , the video editing area 200A (or the transition editing panel) includes an editing track 222, and the at least one first candidate video frame 2082A and the at least one second candidate video frame 2084A are arranged in sequence on the editing track 222. In response to a sliding operation along the editing track 222, the first target video frame or the second target video frame is determined according to the sliding operation. Optionally, as shown inFIG. 2C As shown, the video editing area 200A (or the transition editing panel) further includes a first preview area 224A corresponding to the first target video frame and a second preview area 224B corresponding to the second target video frame, respectively used to display the currently selected first target video frame and second target video frame. Optionally, when entering... FIG. 2C When the page is displayed, the first preview area 224A can display the last frame of the first target video clip by default, and the second preview area 224B can display the first frame of the second target video clip by default.

[0079] As an optional embodiment, such as FIG. 2C As shown, when entering FIG. 2C When the page is displayed, the first target video frame can be selected by default. In this case, the first preview area 224A is highlighted (e.g., highlighted) to indicate to the user that the first target video frame is currently being selected. Accordingly, as shown FIG. 2C As shown, the second preview area 224B can be grayed out, indicating that the second target video frame is not currently being selected. At this time, when user 104 performs a sliding operation along the editing track 222, the candidate video frames in the editing track 222 can be moved according to this sliding operation, and the corresponding candidate video frame can be determined as the first target video frame based on the sliding operation. Optionally, as... FIG. 2C As shown, candidate video frames at the target position (e.g., the center) of the editing track 222 are highlighted to indicate that the candidate video frame is currently selected. Correspondingly, the candidate video frame is also displayed in the first preview area 224A, indicating that the candidate video frame is currently selected as the first target video frame. When the user 104 continues to perform a sliding operation and moves other candidate video frames to the target position (e.g., the center) of the editing track 222, the video frame displayed in the first preview area 224A is updated accordingly, indicating that the first target video frame is updated. After the user selects the first target video frame, the second preview area 224B can be triggered, and then a sliding operation can be used to select the second target video frame. Optionally, at this time, the second preview area 224B is highlighted, and the first preview area 224A is grayed out, indicating that the second target video frame is currently being selected. The method of sliding to select the second target video frame is similar to the method of sliding to select the first target video frame, and will not be described again. After the user selects the second target video frame, they can trigger the generate button 226 to generate the transition video. The video frames currently displayed in the first preview area 224A and the second preview area 224B can be considered as the first and second target video frames and can be used to generate the transition video. It is understood that in the above embodiment, since the first target video frame can only be selected from the first candidate video frames, during the sliding operation, when the first candidate video frame has been slid to the last frame (e.g., ...), ... FIG. 2CIf the target position of the editing track 222 (e.g., the center) corresponds to the first candidate video frame when the user is performing the sliding operation, the first preview area 224A is highlighted, and the second preview area 224B can be grayed out, indicating that the first target video frame is being selected. If the user continues to perform the sliding operation and moves the second candidate video frame to the target position, the second preview area 224B is highlighted, and the first preview area 224A can be grayed out, indicating that the second target video frame is being selected. During the sliding operation, the first preview area 224A and the second preview area 224B can not be updated in real time following the sliding operation, but can be updated when the user 104 performs a triggering operation on a candidate video frame. For example, when the user 104 is performing the sliding operation, the user 104 finds that a first candidate video frame can be selected as the first target video frame. By clicking the first candidate video frame in the editing track 222, the content of the first preview area 224A can be updated to the first candidate video frame, indicating that the first candidate video frame is selected as the first target video frame. Similarly, the second candidate video frame can be selected as the second target video frame.

[0080] As another optional embodiment, an interactive manner in which the editing track 222 can be arbitrarily slid can be provided. As shown, when the user is performing the sliding operation, if the target position of the editing track 222 (e.g., the center) corresponds to the first candidate video frame, the first preview area 224A is highlighted, and the second preview area 224B can be grayed out, indicating that the first target video frame is being selected. FIG. 2E

[0081] With the above embodiments, the selection of the target video frame can be completed through an interactive manner that is easy to operate, and the user experience is improved.

[0082] With reference to FIG. 2E , for example, in response to the generation button 226 being triggered, a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment can be generated based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame. In this way, the transition video is generated by selecting the first target video frame and the second target video frame from the first target video segment and the second target video segment, so that the effect of the transition video can be more flexible and is not limited to preset transition materials.

[0083] In some embodiments, the first target video frame and the second target video frame can be input into a pre-trained video generation model to obtain the transition video. Optionally, the video generation model can be based on image generation video and can be implemented by various artificial intelligence (AI) models. As an optional embodiment, the video generation model can be a head-tail frame model. That is, the first target video segment can be used as the head frame, and the second target video frame can be used as the tail frame. Then, the head-tail frame model can generate a video based on the head frame and the tail frame. By using the head-tail frame model, the picture fluency and creative expression of the transition effect can be improved. With the head-tail frame model, the transition video can utilize the internal connection in the picture, implement natural transition based on the visual logic of the picture, maintain the rationality of the scene conversion, and reduce the abruptness that may exist when the ordinary transition is applied to different underlying materials. Moreover, the head-tail frame model can tailor the transition effect according to the specific content, plot development, or theme style of the video, starting from the elements, color tones, and actions of the picture frames. Compared with the traditional transition, the head-tail frame model can break through the limitations of the preset fixed template and combine the video elements to integrate creative effects.

[0084] In other embodiments, when generating the transition video, a prompt can also be obtained first, and then the prompt, the first target video frame, and the second target video frame are input into the video generation model to obtain the transition video. Thus, the prompt can be used to guide the generation task of the video generation model, so that the transition video output by the model can be more in line with expectations. Optionally, the prompt can be pre-set. When it is necessary to generate the transition video, the prompt can be retrieved and input into the video generation model together with the first target video frame and the second target video frame to obtain the transition video. For example, the prompt can be “natural progressive coherence dynamic”, so that the generated transition video can have the corresponding video effect. In some embodiments, the prompt can be provided by the user 104, so that the user can freely control the transition effect. Optionally, when the generation button 226 is triggered, a confirmation pop-up window can be displayed first, and an input field for inputting the prompt can be provided in the confirmation pop-up window. The user 104 can input the prompt in the input field to guide the generation task of the model, so that the transition effect is more in line with the user’s expectations.

[0085] Optionally, the video generation model can be provided by the server. When generating the transition video, the video generation model provided by the server can be called to complete the generation task. When the terminal device 102 has sufficient processing capability and is built-in with the video generation model, the terminal device 102 can also locally generate the transition video.

[0086] In some embodiments, in order to achieve the embedding effect of the transition video in the first target video segment and the second target video segment, so that the three can better connect, the first target video segment and the second target video segment can be cropped, and then the transition video is spliced with the cropped first target video segment and the cropped second target video segment.

[0087] Optionally, the number of video frame crops can be determined according to the duration of the transition video, and the first target video segment and the second target video segment are cropped respectively. The first target video segment selects the number of video frame crops of video frames from the last frame of the first target video segment in sequence and forwards, and the second target video segment selects the number of video frame crops of video frames from the first frame of the second target video segment in sequence and backwards. Then, the transition video is inserted between the cropped first target video segment and the cropped second target video segment.

[0088] Exemplarily, assuming that the duration of the transition video is 2s, it can be determined that the first target video segment and the second target video segment need to be cropped for 1s respectively, then according to the 1s duration, the number of video frame crops can be determined as 24 frames, then the last 24 frames of the first target video segment (selected from the last frame in sequence and forwards) and the first 24 frames of the second target video segment (selected from the first frame in sequence and backwards) are cropped. Then, the transition video is spliced with the cropped first target video segment and the cropped second target video segment, and the embedding effect of the transition video is achieved.

[0089] As described above, the video processing method provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented in a video editing application or software, therefore, in some scenarios, the user 104 can have set some video effects to be applied to the final target video. According to the type of the video effects, the process of generating the transition video can be different.

[0090] In some embodiments, in response to the first video effect with a morphing effect being set, the first target video frame and the second target video frame can be processed based on the first video effect, and the transition video can be generated based on the processed first target video frame and the second target video frame, so that when the overall video has a morphing effect, the generated transition video can also have a corresponding morphing effect, achieving a better transition. Optionally, the first video effect includes but is not limited to at least one of the following: Rotate, translate, scale, mirroring, resize, Video and canvas blending, Opacity, Keyframe Effect, Intelligent, Custom Keying, Chroma Keying, Video Mask, Shot Tracking, Anti-shake, de-motion blur, Improve Image Quality, AI capabilities (for example, AI extension, AI removal, local redraw, Video Animation, Picture Effects, Character effects, Beauty and Body Enhancement).

[0091] In other embodiments, in response to the second video effect with a non-morphing effect being set, the transition video is generated based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame, and the transition video is processed based on the second video effect. In this embodiment, for video effects that do not produce video morphing, the first target video frame and the second target video frame can not be used for processing, but the transition video is first generated using the first target video frame and the second target video frame, and then the transition video is post-processed based on the second video effect, or the entire target video is post-processed based on the second video effect, thereby achieving a better transition and connection between the transition video and the video segment. Optionally, the second video effect includes but is not limited to at least one of the following: Filter, Color adjustment item, Smart Lighting.

[0092] In some embodiments, such as FIG. 2B As shown, when generating a transition video, the generation progress of the transition video can also be displayed in the transition editing panel on the video editing page 200. Optionally, the generation progress can include progress percentage information, such as "Generating XX%", so that the user knows approximately how much of the transition video has been generated. Optionally, as... FIG. 2F As shown, the transition editing panel can also display the remaining time, allowing the user to know approximately how much time is left to generate the transition video. In some embodiments, the transition video may be generated by a video generation model. Since this generation process may take some time, especially when a server-provided model is called to generate the transition video, the generation time may be further extended due to factors such as network speed. Therefore, the transition editing panel may also include a minimize button 228, which can be used to perform a minimize operation. In some embodiments, in response to the minimize operation of the transition editing panel, the transition editing panel can be hidden and the target transition control can be displayed in a first style; wherein, the first style is used to indicate that the transition video is being generated. For example, when the transition editing panel is minimized, the video editing page 200 returns to... FIG. 2G The state shown, and, as FIG. 2F As shown, the target transition control (e.g., transition control 212) is displayed in a first style. Further, in some embodiments, in response to the generation of the transition video, the target transition control can be displayed in a second style; wherein the second style is used to indicate that the transition video has been generated, such as... FIG. 2E As shown. Thus, by specially designing the style of the target transition control after minimizing the transition editing panel, the user can understand the progress of the transition video generation based on the style of the target transition control. Optionally, in FIG. 2E In the page state shown, when the transition video is generated, a prompt message (such as "Transition generated") can also be displayed in the transition editing panel to notify the user that the transition has been generated.

[0093] In some embodiments, if the user does not minimize the transition editing panel, for example, in FIG. 2F In the page state shown, once the transition video is generated, you can... FIG. 2F The transition video automatically plays in the video preview area 200B, allowing users to view the transition effect in real time for adjustment and confirmation. In other embodiments, if the user has minimized the transition editing panel, for example, in... FIG. 2G In the page state shown, once the transition video is generated, you can... FIG. 2C Transition videos automatically play in the video preview area 200B, allowing users to view the transition effects in real time for adjustments and confirmation.

[0094] With continued reference to FIG. 2, in some embodiments, when the user triggers the target transition control (e.g., transition control 212) again, a new transition video can be generated for the first target video segment and the second target video segment again, and the video editing page 200 as shown in FIG. 2 can be displayed again. FIG. 2C The user 104 can reselect the first target video frame and the second target video frame by performing the foregoing operations again in the page as shown in FIG. 2 to re-generate a new transition video. FIG. 2C The user 104 can reselect the first target video frame and the second target video frame by performing the foregoing operations again in the page as shown in FIG. 2 to re-generate a new transition video. FIG. 2D The user 104 can reselect the first target video frame and the second target video frame by performing the foregoing operations again in the page as shown in FIG. 2 to re-generate a new transition video.

[0095] In some embodiments, each generated transition video can be saved into a transition generation record, and the user can add by finding the historical transition from the transition generation record. Alternatively, the user 104 can enter the video editing page 200 as shown in FIG. 2 by triggering the target transition control, and find the historical record label in the label at the top of the transition editing panel, and then view the transition generation record. In the transition generation record, the available transition and the unavailable transition can be displayed in different styles. As shown in FIG. 2, the icon corresponding to the available transition can be in a light state, and the icon corresponding to the unavailable transition can be in a gray state, so that the user 104 can select the available historical transition to add. In some embodiments, when entering the page as shown in FIG. 2 through the target transition control, the historical transition generated based on the first target video segment and the second target video segment can be displayed in an available state for the user to use. FIG. 2H FIG. 2H In some embodiments, when entering the page as shown in FIG. 2 through the target transition control, the historical transition generated based on the first target video segment and the second target video segment can be displayed in an available state for the user to use. FIG. 3 FIG. 1A In some embodiments, when entering the page as shown in FIG. 2 through the target transition control, the historical transition generated based on the first target video segment and the second target video segment can be displayed in an available state for the user to use.

[0096] After the transition video is generated, the user 104 can continue to edit the video until it meets the expectations, and can generate a target video through the export button. The target video can be generated based on the transition video, the first target video segment and the second target video segment, and thus has a better transition effect.

[0097] As can be seen from the foregoing embodiments, the video processing method provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure provides an entry for generating a transition in the transition function of a video editing tool, so that the user can flexibly call the entry to generate a transition video with a custom transition effect, thereby improving the user experience.

[0098] It should be noted that the method of the embodiments of the present disclosure can be executed by a single device, such as a computer or a server, and the like. The method of the embodiments can also be applied to a distributed scenario, and be completed by multiple devices cooperating with each other. In the case of such a distributed scenario, one of the multiple devices can only execute one or more steps in the method of the embodiments of the present disclosure, and the multiple devices can interact with each other to complete the method.

[0099] It should be noted that some embodiments of the present disclosure are described above. Other embodiments are within the scope of the appended claims. In some cases, the actions or steps recited in the claims can be performed in a different order and still achieve desirable results. Additionally, the processes depicted in the figures do not necessarily require the particular order shown, or sequential order, to achieve the desired results. In certain implementations, multitasking and parallel processing can be advantageous.

[0100] FIG. 1A A flowchart of an example video processing method 300 provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. The video processing method 300 can be used to generate a transition video and a target video containing the transition video. Alternatively, the video processing method 300 can be implemented by a terminal device 102 of FIG. 3 , or by each device in a system 100 of FIG. 2B .

[0101] As shown in FIG. 2B , the video processing method 300 can further include the following steps.

[0102] In step 302, a video editing page (for example, the video editing page 200 of FIG. 2B ) is displayed.

[0103] The video editing page includes a video editing area (for example, the video editing area 200A of FIG. 2B ), and at least two video clips (for example, the first video clip 2082 and the second video clip 2084 of FIG. 2C ) are presented in the video editing area.

[0104] In step 304, in response to a video generation request (for example, the transition control 212 of FIG. 2C being triggered), at least one first candidate video frame (for example, at least one first candidate video frame 2082A of FIG. 2B ) and at least one second candidate video frame (for example, at least one second candidate video frame 2084A of FIG. 2B ) are displayed in the video editing area.

[0105] The at least one first candidate video frame is selected from a first target video segment (e.g., the first video segment 2082) of the first video clip, and the at least one second candidate video frame is selected from a second target video segment (e.g., the second video segment 2084) of the second video clip. FIG. 2C The at least one first candidate video frame is selected from a first target video segment (e.g., the first video segment 2082) of the first video clip, and the at least one second candidate video frame is selected from a second target video segment (e.g., the second video segment 2084) of the second video clip. FIG. 2B

[0106] In step 306, a first target video frame is determined from the at least one first candidate video frame, and a second target video frame is determined from the at least one second candidate video frame.

[0107] In step 308, a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment is generated based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame.

[0108] The video processing method provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure displays at least two video segments in a video editing page, determines a first target video segment and a second target video segment therefrom, and then selects a first target video frame and a second target video frame from the first target video segment and the second target video segment to generate a transition video, so that the effect of the transition video can be more flexible, and is not limited to pre-set transition materials.

[0109] In some embodiments, in response to a video generation request, displaying at least one first candidate video frame and at least one second candidate video frame in the video editing region, comprising:

[0110] In response to the video generation request, determining the at least one first candidate video frame from the first target video segment based on a first duration of the first target video segment, and determining the at least one second candidate video frame from the second target video segment based on a second duration of the second target video segment;

[0111] Displaying the at least one first candidate video frame and the at least one second candidate video frame in the video editing region.

[0112] In this way, the candidate video frame is determined based on the duration of the video segment, so that the transition video generated by the selected video frame can be better connected with the cropped video segment.

[0113] In some embodiments, determining the at least one first candidate video frame from the first target video segment based on a first duration of the first target video segment, comprises:

[0114] In response to detecting that the first duration is equal to a first threshold (e.g., 1s), determining the at least one first candidate video frame as the last video frame of the first target video segment;

[0115] In response to detecting that the first duration is greater than the first threshold and less than a second threshold (e.g., 2s), the at least one first candidate video frame is determined to be a first tail video frame located at a tail of the first target video clip; wherein a first number of the first tail video frame is determined based on a first difference between the first duration and the first threshold.

[0116] In response to detecting that the first duration is greater than or equal to the second threshold, the at least one first candidate video frame is determined to be a second tail video frame located at a tail of the first target video clip; wherein a second number of the second tail video frame is determined based on a second difference between the first threshold and the second threshold.

[0117] Exemplarily, assuming that the first threshold is 1s and the second threshold is 2s, when the first duration is 1s, the at least one first candidate video frame is only the last video frame of the first target video clip; when the first duration is greater than 1s and less than 2s (e.g., the first duration is 1.2s), the at least one first candidate video frame is a first tail video frame located at a tail of the first target video clip, and a first number of the first tail video frame can be determined according to the first difference between the first duration and the first threshold. For example, the first duration is 1.2s, 1.2s-1s=0.2s, and then a predetermined number of first tail video frames are selected from the tail of the first target video clip according to the video duration of 0.2s to be the first candidate video frames. In some embodiments, due to the limited display space of the transition editing panel, the display number of candidate video frames can have an upper limit, for example, the first candidate video frame is displayed for a maximum of 24 frames, and therefore, when the first duration of the first target video clip is greater than or equal to the second threshold, the display number of the first candidate video frame satisfies the display number upper limit, and then a corresponding number of second tail video frames are selected from the tail of the first target video clip according to the display number upper limit to be the at least one first candidate video frame. In some embodiments, as described above, in order to ensure the transition effect, the first duration of the first target video clip cannot be less than a preset duration, which can be the first threshold, and therefore, when the first duration is detected to be less than the first threshold, the first candidate video frame can not be displayed, but the aforementioned prompt information is displayed.

[0118] Through the above embodiments, the selection of the first candidate video frame according to the first duration of the first target video clip is realized, and the balance between the display of the candidate video frame and the transition effect can be achieved.

[0119] In some embodiments, determining the at least one second candidate video frame from the second target video segment based on a second duration of the second target video segment comprises:

[0120] In response to detecting that the second duration is equal to the first threshold, determining the at least one second candidate video frame as a first video frame of the second target video segment;

[0121] In response to detecting that the second duration is greater than the first threshold and less than the second threshold, determining the at least one second candidate video frame as a first front video frame located at a front portion of the second target video segment; wherein a third number of the first front video frame is determined based on a third difference between the second duration and the first threshold;

[0122] In response to detecting that the second duration is greater than or equal to the second threshold, determining the at least one second candidate video frame as a second front video frame located at the front portion of the second target video segment; wherein a fourth number of the second front video frame is determined based on the second difference between the first threshold and the second threshold.

[0123] Exemplarily, assuming that the first threshold value is 1s and the second threshold value is 2s, when the second duration is 1s, the at least one second candidate video frame is only the last video frame of the second target video segment; when the second duration is greater than 1s and less than 2s (for example, the second duration is 1.2s), the at least one second candidate video frame is the first front video frame located at the tail of the second target video segment, and the third quantity of the first front video frame can be determined according to a third difference between the second duration and the first threshold value. For example, the second duration is 1.2s, 1.2s-1s=0.2s, and then a predetermined quantity of first front video frames are selected from the front of the second target video segment according to the video duration of 0.2s to be the second candidate video frames. In some embodiments, due to the limited display space of the transition editing panel, the display quantity of the candidate video frames can have an upper limit, for example, the second candidate video frames are displayed for a maximum of 24 frames, and therefore, when the duration of the second target video segment is greater than or equal to the second threshold value, the display quantity of the second candidate video frames satisfies the display quantity upper limit, and then a corresponding quantity of second front video frames are selected from the front of the second target video segment according to the display quantity upper limit to be the at least one second candidate video frame. The second quantity of the second front video frames is determined based on a second difference between the first threshold value and the second threshold value. Exemplarily, the first threshold value is 1s, the second threshold value is 2s, and the second quantity is the quantity of video frames corresponding to 2s-1s=1s, for example, 24 frames. In some embodiments, as described above, in order to guarantee the transition effect, the second duration of the second target video segment cannot be less than a preset duration, and the preset duration can be the first threshold value. Therefore, when it is detected that the second duration is less than the first threshold value, the first candidate video frame can not be displayed, but the aforementioned prompt information is displayed.

[0124] Through the above embodiments, the selection of the second candidate video frame according to the second duration of the second target video segment is realized, and the balance between the display of the candidate video frame and the transition effect can be achieved.

[0125] In some embodiments, the video editing area includes an edit track (for example, the edit track 222 of the transition editing panel 200), FIG. 2B and the at least one first candidate video frame and the at least one second candidate video frame are arranged on the edit track in sequence;

[0126] determining the first target video frame from the at least one first candidate video frame and determining the second target video frame from the at least one second candidate video frame includes:

[0127] in response to a sliding operation along the edit track, determining the first target video frame or the second target video frame based on the sliding operation.

[0128] By using the above embodiment, the selection of the target video frame can be completed through an interactive mode which is easy to operate, and user experience is improved.

[0129] In some embodiments, based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame, a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment is generated, including:

[0130] According to the duration of the transition video, the number of video frame crops is determined, and the first target video segment and the second target video segment are cropped respectively; wherein the first target video segment selects the video frame crop number of video frames from the last frame to the front in sequence, and the second target video segment selects the video frame crop number of video frames from the first frame to the back in sequence;

[0131] The transition video is inserted between the cropped first target video segment and the cropped second target video segment.

[0132] For example, assuming that the duration of the transition video is 2s, it can be determined that the first target video segment and the second target video segment need to be cropped for 1s respectively, then according to the 1s duration, the number of video frame crops can be determined as 24 frames, then the last 24 frames of the first target video segment (selected from the last frame to the front in sequence) and the first 24 frames of the second target video segment (selected from the first frame to the back in sequence) are cropped. Then, the transition video is spliced with the cropped first target video segment and the cropped second target video segment to achieve the embedding effect of the transition video.

[0133] In some embodiments, the at least two video segments are arranged in sequence, and a transition control (for example, the transition control 212 of FIG. 2) is arranged between adjacent two video segments. FIG. 2B

[0134] In response to a video generation request, at least one first candidate video frame and at least one second candidate video frame are displayed in the video editing area, including:

[0135] In response to the triggering operation of the target transition control, the video generation request is generated, and the video segments on both sides of the target transition control are determined as the first target video segment (for example, the first video segment 2082 of FIG. 2) and the second target video segment (for example, the second video segment 2084 of FIG. 2). FIG. 2E FIG. 2F

[0136] The at least one first candidate video frame is determined from the first target video segment, and the at least one second candidate video frame is determined from the second target video segment.

[0137] The at least one first candidate video frame and the at least one second candidate video frame are displayed in the video editing area.

[0138] In this way, by selecting video frames from the first target video segment and the second target video segment to generate a transition video, the transition video can better connect the first target video segment and the second target video segment.

[0139] In some embodiments, the method further includes:

[0140] The transition editing panel on the video editing page displays the generation progress of the transition video;

[0141] In response to the minimize operation of the transition editing panel (e.g., triggering) FIG. 2G The minimize button 228) hides the transition editing panel and displays the target transition control in the first style, such as... FIG. 2D As shown; wherein, the first style is used to indicate that the transition video is being generated;

[0142] In response to the generation of the transition video, the target transition control is displayed in the second style, such as... FIG. 2D As shown; wherein, the second style is used to indicate that the transition video has been generated.

[0143] In this way, after minimizing the transition editing panel, the user can know the progress of the transition video generation by specially designing the style of the target transition control.

[0144] In some embodiments, generating a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame includes: inputting the first target video frame and the second target video frame into a pre-trained video generation model to obtain the transition video.

[0145] Optionally, the video generation model can generate a video based on an image, which can be implemented by various artificial intelligence (AI) models. As an optional embodiment, the video generation model can be a head-tail frame model. That is, the first target video segment can be taken as a head frame, and the second target video frame can be taken as a tail frame, and then the head-tail frame model can generate a video based on the head frame and the tail frame. By adopting the head-tail frame model, the picture fluency and creative expression of the transition effect can be improved. With the head-tail frame model to generate the transition video, the internal relationship in the picture can be utilized, the visual logic of the picture can be used as the basis, the natural transition can be realized, the rationality of the scene conversion can be maintained, and the jarring feeling that may exist when the ordinary transition is applied to different base materials can be reduced. Moreover, the head-tail frame model can tailor the transition effect according to the specific content, plot development or theme style of the video, starting from the elements, color tones and actions of the picture frames. Compared with the traditional transition, the head-tail frame model can break through the limitation of the preset fixed template, and combine the video elements to integrate the creative effect.

[0146] In some embodiments, based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame, a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment is generated, including: obtaining a prompt word; and inputting the prompt word, the first target video frame and the second target video frame into a pre-trained video generation model to obtain the transition video. Thus, the prompt word can be used to guide the generation task of the video generation model, so that the transition video output by the video generation model can be more in line with the expectation.

[0147] Optionally, the prompt word can be pre-set. When the transition video needs to be generated, the prompt word can be called and input into the video generation model together with the first target video frame and the second target video frame to obtain the transition video. For example, the prompt word can be "natural progressive coherence dynamic", so that the generated transition video can have the corresponding video effect. In some embodiments, the prompt word can be provided by a user, so that the user can freely control the transition effect. Optionally, when the generation button is triggered, a confirmation pop-up window can be displayed first, and an input field for inputting the prompt word can be provided in the confirmation pop-up window. The user can input the prompt word in the input field to guide the generation task of the model, so that the transition effect is more in line with the user's expectation.

[0148] In some embodiments, based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame, generating a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment comprises: in response to the first video effect with a morphing effect having been set, processing the first target video frame and the second target video frame based on the first video effect, and generating the transition video based on the processed first target video frame and the second target video frame, so that when the overall video has a morphing effect, the generated transition video can also have a corresponding morphing effect, achieving a better transition. Optionally, the first video effect includes but is not limited to at least one of the following: Rotate, translate, scale, mirroring, resize, Video and canvas blending, Opacity, Keyframe Effect, Intelligent, Custom Keying, Chroma Keying, Video Mask, Shot Tracking, Anti-shake, de-motion blur, lmprove lmage Quality, AI capabilities (such as AI extension, AI removal, local redraw, Video Animation, Picture Effects, Character effects, Beauty and Body Enhancement).

[0149] In some embodiments, based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame, generating a transition video embedded between the first target video segment and the second target video segment comprises: in response to the second video effect with a non-morphing effect being set, generating the transition video based on the first target video frame and the second target video frame, and processing the transition video based on the second video effect. In this embodiment, for video effects that do not produce video morphing, the first target video frame and the second target video frame can not be processed, but the transition video is first generated using the first target video frame and the second target video frame, and then the transition video is post-processed based on the second video effect, or the entire target video is post-processed based on the second video effect, thereby achieving better transition and connection between the transition video and the video segment. Alternatively, the second video effect includes but is not limited to at least one of the following: filter, color adjustment item, smart lighting.

[0150] In some embodiments, in response to a video generation request, displaying at least one first candidate video frame and at least one second candidate video frame in the video editing area comprises:

[0151] In response to the video generation request, displaying a transition editing panel in the video editing area, and displaying a transition material (for example, the transition material 218) and a transition generation control (for example, the transition generation control 216) in the transition editing panel; in response to the transition generation control being triggered, replacing the transition material in the transition editing panel with the at least one first candidate video frame and the at least one second candidate video frame. In this way, the jump logic of the transition entry is more in line with the operation habits of the user, and when the user needs to use the transition generation function, the transition generation module can be entered by triggering the transition generation control, and the interactive process is simple and convenient.
