AI Technical Summary
Existing camera module optical systems struggle to balance miniaturization and excellent optical performance in multi-lens designs, especially given the significant changes in optical characteristics over a wide temperature range. Furthermore, the increased number of lenses leads to increased device thickness and length, making it difficult to achieve high definition and high resolution.
The system employs a first to a third lens group arranged along the optical axis, with opposite refractive powers between the lens groups. The lens closest to the aperture stop is made of glass, and the zoom ratio is controlled by moving the lens group to maintain a constant TTL value, thereby reducing the lens group movement distance and power consumption.
It achieves excellent optical performance in environments ranging from low to high temperatures, reduces lens group movement distance and power consumption, significantly reduces device thickness, and enhances the zoom ratio and aberration stability of the optical system.

Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an optical system for enhancing optical performance and a camera module including the optical system. Background Technology
[0002] Camera modules perform the function of capturing images of objects and storing them as images or videos, and are installed in a variety of application scenarios. In particular, camera modules are manufactured to be ultra-small and are used in portable devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, as well as drones and vehicles, to provide a variety of functions.
[0003] For example, the optical system of a camera module may include an imaging lens that forms an image and an image sensor that converts the formed image into an electrical signal. In this case, the camera module can perform an autofocus (AF) function, which automatically adjusts the distance between the image sensor and the imaging lens to align with the lens's focal length, and can perform a zoom function to increase or decrease the zoom ratio of distant objects, thereby capturing a photograph through the zoom lens. Furthermore, the camera module employs image stabilization (IS) technology to correct or prevent image shake caused by camera movement due to unstable fixtures or user movement.
[0004] The most critical component for these camera modules to capture images is the imaging lens that forms the image. Recently, there has been increasing attention paid to high-performance features such as high definition and high resolution, and research continues on optical systems that combine multiple lenses to achieve these goals.
[0005] For example, research is underway to use multiple imaging lenses with positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power to achieve high-performance optical systems. However, introducing multiple lenses increases the overall size of the optical system, making it difficult to achieve both excellent optical and aberration characteristics.
[0006] Furthermore, optical systems that include multiple lenses tend to be relatively tall. For example, as the number of lenses increases, the distance between the image sensor and the object plane of adjacent lenses also increases. Consequently, the overall thickness and length of devices with optical systems (such as smartphones) increase, making miniaturization difficult.
[0007] In addition, there is a problem that it is difficult to enhance optical performance through lenses. Summary of the Invention

[0012] Technical solution
[0013] To solve the above technical problems, an optical system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: first to third lens groups arranged along the optical axis, where the first lens group has a negative (-) refractive power, the second lens group has a positive (+) refractive power, the third lens group has a negative (-) refractive power, an aperture is provided between the first lens group and the second lens group, and at least one of the two lenses closest to the aperture is made of glass.
[0014] The Abbe number of one of the two lenses closest to the aperture can be the largest.
[0015] The signs of the refractive powers of the two lenses closest to the aperture can be opposite.
[0016] The absolute value of the difference in Abbe numbers of the two lenses closest to the aperture can be 25 or more and 35 or less.
[0017] The first lens group may include first to third lenses, the second lens group includes a fourth lens with a positive (+) refractive power and a fifth lens with a negative (-) refractive power, and the third lens group may include a sixth lens with a positive (+) refractive power and a seventh lens with a negative (-) refractive power.
[0018] The first lens group may be a fixed group, and the second lens group and the third lens group may be moving groups.
[0019] The following conditional expression can be satisfied. <Conditional expression> 15 < TTL < 20 (in the above conditional expression, TTL is the optical axis distance from the vertex of the object-side surface of the lens closest to the object side to the upper surface of the image sensor).
[0020] The following conditional expression can be satisfied. <Conditional expression> 0.5 < f_tele / f_wide < 1 (in the above conditional expression, f_tele is the total focal length at the telephoto end of the optical system, and f_wide is the total focal length at the wide-angle end of the optical system).
[0021] The following conditional expression can be satisfied. <Conditional expression> 1 < BFL_wide < 3 (in the above conditional expression, BFL_wide is the optical axis distance from the light source end to the center of the sensor-side surface of the last lens at the image sensor).
[0022] It can satisfy the following conditional expression. <Conditional expression> 3 < TTL / ImgH < 5 (in the above conditional expression, TTL is the optical axis distance from the vertex of the object-side surface of the lens set closest to the object side to the upper surface of the image sensor, and ImgH is the maximum diagonal length of the image sensor).
[0023] To solve the above technical problem, the optical system according to this embodiment includes first to seventh lenses arranged along the optical axis, where the second lens has a positive (+) refractive power, the third lens has a negative (﹣) refractive power, the fourth lens has a positive (+) refractive power, the fifth lens has a negative (﹣) refractive power, the sixth lens has a positive (+) refractive power, and the seventh lens has a negative (﹣) refractive power. Among them, the first to third lenses are the first lens group with a negative (﹣) refractive power, the fourth and fifth lenses are the second lens group with a positive (+) refractive power, and the sixth and seventh lenses are the third lens group with a negative (﹣) refractive power. An aperture is provided between the first lens group and the second lens group, and at least one of the two lenses closest to the aperture can be made of glass.
[0024] The first lens group is a fixed group, and the second lens group and the third lens group can be moving groups.
[0025] The Abbe number of one of the two lenses closest to the aperture can be the largest.
[0026] The signs of the refractive powers of the two lenses closest to the above aperture can be opposite.
[0027] It can satisfy the following conditional expression.
[0028] To solve the above technical problem, the optical system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes first to third lens groups arranged along the optical axis, where the first lens group has a negative (﹣) refractive power, the second lens group has a positive (+) refractive power, and the third lens group has a negative (﹣) refractive power. Among the first lens group, the lens arranged at the position closest to the sensor side can be concave on both sides, and among the second lens group, the lens arranged at the position closest to the object side can be convex on both sides.
[0029] The first lens group is a fixed group, and the second lens group and the third lens group can be moving groups.
[0030] When zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, the distance between the first lens group and the second lens group on the optical axis decreases, and the distance between the second lens group and the third lens group on the optical axis can decrease.
[0031] At the wide-angle end, the distance between the first lens group and the second lens group on the optical axis can be greater than the distance between the second lens group and the third lens group, and at the telephoto end, the distance between the first lens group and the second lens group on the optical axis can be less than the distance between the second lens group and the third lens group.
[0032] The first lens group includes a first lens with a positive (+) refractive power and a second lens with a negative (﹣) refractive power, where the second lens group includes a third lens with a positive (+) refractive power and a fourth lens with a negative (﹣) refractive power, and where the third lens group can include a sixth lens with a negative (﹣) refractive power and a second lens with a negative (﹣) refractive power.
[0033] Among the distances between adjacent lenses of the first to sixth lenses on the optical axis, the distance between the first lens and the second lens can be the largest.
[0034] The first optical member can be disposed in the ineffective area of the sensor-side surface of the first lens and the object-side surface of the second lens.
[0035] The second optical member can be disposed to connect the first lens and the second lens and has a pattern formed on one surface facing the optical axis.
[0036] The following conditional expression can be satisfied. <Conditional expression> 1.5 < f_tele / f_wide < 2 (in the above conditional expression, f_tele is the total focal length of the optical system at the telephoto end, and f_wide is the total focal length of the optical system at the wide-angle end).
[0037] The following conditional expression can be satisfied. <Conditional expression> 0.1 < ΣCT / TTL < 1 (in the above conditional expression, ΣCT is the sum of the central thicknesses of the lenses, and TTL is the distance along the optical axis from the vertex of the object-side surface of the lens set closest to the object side to the upper surface of the image sensor).
[0038] To solve the above technical problems, an optical system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes first to sixth lenses arranged along an optical axis, where the first lens has a positive (+) refractive power, the second lens has a negative (−) refractive power, the third lens has a positive (+) refractive power, the fourth lens has a negative (−) refractive power, the fifth lens has a negative (−) or positive (+) refractive power, and the sixth lens has a negative (−) refractive power, where the first and second lenses are a first lens group having a negative (−) refractive power, the third and fourth lenses are a second lens group having a positive (+) refractive power, and the fifth and sixth lenses are a third lens group having a negative (−) refractive power, where among the gaps between adjacent lenses among the first to sixth lenses on the optical axis, the gap between the first lens and the second lens is the largest, and where an optical member can be provided on at least one of the sensor-side surface of the first lens and the object-side surface of the second lens.
[0039] The first lens group is a fixed group, and the second and third lens groups can be moving groups.
[0040] At the wide-angle end, the distance between the first lens group and the second lens group on the optical axis is greater than the distance between the second lens group and the third lens group, and at the telephoto end, the distance between the first lens group and the second lens group on the optical axis can be less than the distance between the second lens group and the third lens group.
[0041] Among the first to sixth lenses, the effective diameter of the first lens is the largest, and among the first to sixth lenses, the effective diameter of the second lens is the smallest.
[0042] The following conditional expression can be satisfied. <Conditional expression> 3 < TTL / ImgH < 5 (in the above conditional expression, TTL is the optical axis distance from the vertex of the object-side surface of the first lens to the upper surface of the image sensor, and ImgH is the maximum diagonal length of the image sensor).
[0043] Advantageous Effects
[0044] The optical system and camera module according to an embodiment have multiple zoom ratios and can exhibit excellent optical characteristics when multiple zoom ratios are provided. Specifically, this embodiment can control the number of lenses set, the refractive power set, the shape set, the focal length, etc. of multiple lens groups of lenses, the moving distance of the moving lens group, etc. to achieve multiple zoom ratios, and can provide an automatic focus (AF) function for an object.
[0045] In addition, in the optical system and camera module according to this embodiment, each of the multiple lens groups compensates for aberration characteristics, or can mutually compensate for the aberration characteristics changed due to movement. Therefore, the optical system according to this embodiment can minimize or prevent the change in chromatic aberration and aberration characteristics that occur when the zoom ratio changes.
[0046] Furthermore, the optical system and camera module according to this embodiment can control the effective focal length (EFL) by moving only some of the multiple lens groups, thereby minimizing the movement distance of the moved lens groups. Therefore, when the zoom ratio changes, this embodiment can significantly reduce the movement distance of the lens groups and minimize the power consumption required when moving the lens groups.
[0047] Furthermore, the optical system and camera module according to this embodiment can adjust the zoom ratio by moving lens groups other than the first lens group adjacent to the object. Therefore, even when the lens groups move according to changes in zoom ratio, the optical system can maintain a constant TTL value. Consequently, the optical system and the camera module including it can have a thinner structure. Attached Figure Description

[0106] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0107] However, the technical concept of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments to be described, but can be implemented in various forms, and within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention, one or more constituent elements can be selectively combined or replaced among embodiments.
[0108] Furthermore, unless explicitly defined and described, the terms (including technical and scientific terms) used in the embodiments of the present invention may be interpreted in the sense that would be generally understood by a person skilled in the art, and common terms may be interpreted in the context of the relevant art, such as terms defined in a dictionary.
[0109] Furthermore, the terminology used in this specification is for the purpose of describing embodiments and not for limiting the invention. In this specification, singular forms may include plural forms unless specifically stated in the phrase, and when described as “at least one (or more) of A, B, and C,” it may include one or more of all combinations that can be made with A, B, and C.
[0110] Furthermore, when describing components of embodiments of the present invention, terms such as first, second, A, B, (a), and (b) may be used.
[0111] These terms are intended only to distinguish components from other components, and they do not restrict the nature, order, or sequence of components.
[0112] Furthermore, when a component is described as being “connected,” “linked,” or “interconnected” with another component, the component is not only directly connected, linked, or interconnected with the other component, but may also include cases where the other component is “connected,” “linked,” or “interconnected” between the other components.
[0113] Furthermore, when described as being formed or positioned "above" or "below" each component, "above" or "below" means that it includes not only the case where two components are in direct contact, but also the case where one or more other components are formed or positioned between the two components. Additionally, when expressed as "above" or "below," relative to a component, it can include not only an upward direction but also a downward direction.
[0114] In the description of this invention, "object-side surface" can refer to a lens surface facing the object side relative to the optical axis (OA), and "sensor-side surface" can refer to a lens surface facing the imaging surface (image sensor) relative to the optical axis. "Object-side surface" can be "object-side surface," and "sensor-side surface" can be "image-side surface." A convex surface of a lens can refer to a convex shape in the optical axis or paraxial region, and a concave surface of a lens can refer to a concave shape in the optical axis or paraxial region. The radius of curvature, center thickness, and optical axis clearance between lenses described in the lens data sheet can be average values (in mm) along the optical axis. "Vertical direction" can refer to a direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and the end of a lens or lens surface can refer to the end of the effective area through which incident light passes. Depending on the measurement method, the effective diameter of the lens surface may have a measurement error of up to ±0.4 mm. The aforementioned paraxial region refers to a very narrow region near the optical axis, a region where the distance of light rays deviating from the optical axis (OA) is almost zero. In the following text, the meaning of the optical axis can include the center of each lens or a very narrow region near the optical axis.
[0115] The optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 according to the first to third embodiments may include multiple lens groups. Specifically, the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 may include multiple lens groups, each lens group including at least one lens. For example, the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 may include a first lens group G1, a second lens group G2, a third lens group G3, and an image sensor 700 arranged sequentially from the object side toward the sensor along the optical axis OA.
[0116] Each of the first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can have a positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power. Specifically, the refractive powers of the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be opposite. For example, the first lens group G1 can have a negative (-) refractive power, and the second lens group G2 can have a positive (+) refractive power. Furthermore, the refractive powers of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G4 can be opposite. For example, the second lens group G3 can have a positive (+) refractive power, and the third lens group G4 can have a negative (-) refractive power.
[0117] The focal lengths of the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be different. Specifically, since the refractive powers of the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 are opposite, the focal length of the second lens group G2 can have an opposite sign (+, -) to the focal length of the first lens group G1. Furthermore, the focal lengths of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be different. Specifically, since the refractive powers of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 are opposite, the focal length of the second lens group G2 can have an opposite sign (+, -) to the focal length of the third lens group G3.
[0118] At least one of the first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can be configured to be movable along the optical axis direction OA. Specifically, at least two of the plurality of lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can be configured to be movable, while the remaining lens groups can be fixed. For example, the first lens group G1 can be set in a fixed position, and the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be configured to be movable along the optical axis direction OA.
[0119] The first lens group G1 may include multiple lenses. Specifically, the first lens group G1 may include one or more lenses with opposite refractive powers. For example, the first lens group G1 may include three lenses.
[0120] The multiple lenses included in the first lens group G1 may have a predetermined gap. Specifically, while maintaining the operating mode described later, the gaps between the multiple lenses included in the first lens group G1 may be constant. For example, while maintaining the operating mode described later, the gaps between the first lenses 101, 201, and 301 and the second lenses 102, 202, and 302, as well as the gaps between the second lenses 102, 202, and 302 and the third lenses 103, 203, and 303, may be constant. In this document, the gap between multiple lenses may refer to the gap between adjacent lenses along the optical axis.
[0121] The second lens group G2 may include multiple lenses. Specifically, the second lens group G2 may include two or more lenses with opposite refractive powers. The second lens group G2 may include fewer lenses than the first lens group G1. For example, the second lens group G2 may include two lenses.
[0122] The multiple lenses included in the second lens group G2 may have a set gap. Specifically, the gap between the multiple lenses included in the second lens group G2 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later. For example, the gap between the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304 and the fifth lenses 105, 205, and 305 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later.
[0123] The third lens group G3 may include multiple lenses. Specifically, the third lens group G3 may include two or more lenses with opposite refractive powers. The number of lenses included in the third lens group G3 may be less than the number of lenses included in the first lens group G1. For example, the third lens group G3 may include two lenses.
[0124] The multiple lenses included in the third lens group G3 may have a set gap. Specifically, the gap between the multiple lenses included in the third lens group G3 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later. For example, the gap between the sixth lenses 106, 206, and 306 and the seventh lenses 107, 207, and 307 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later.
[0125] In other words, optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 may include multiple lens groups G1, G2, and G3 arranged sequentially from the object side to the sensor side, as well as an image sensor 700. Furthermore, optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 may include multiple lenses included in lens groups G1, G2, and G3 (e.g., first lenses 101, 201, and 301; second lenses 102, 202, and 302; third lenses 103, 203, and 303; fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304; fifth lenses 105, 205, and 305; and sixth lenses 106, 206, and 306). In this case, the first lens group G1 may include first to third lenses 101-103, 201-203, and 301-303, and the second lens group G2 may include fourth to fifth lenses 104-105, 204-205, and 304-305. In addition, the third lens group G3 may include the sixth to seventh lenses 106-107, 206-207, and 306-307. The first to sixth lenses 101-107, 201-207, and 301-307, as well as the image sensor 700, may be arranged sequentially along the optical axes OA of the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200.
[0126] Each of the multiple lenses 100 may include an effective region and an ineffective region. The effective region can be the area through which light incident on each of the first to seventh lenses 101-107, 201-207, and 301-307 passes. In other words, the effective region can be the area where incident light is refracted to achieve optical properties.
[0127] The invalid region can be located around the effective region. The invalid region can be a region where no light is incident. In other words, the invalid region can be a region unrelated to optical properties. Furthermore, the invalid region can be a region fixed to a lens barrel (not shown) that houses the lens.
[0128] Image sensor 700 can detect light. Image sensor 700 can detect light that has passed sequentially through multiple lenses (e.g., first to seventh lenses 101-107, 201-207, and 301-307). Image sensor 700 may include a CCD (charge-connected device) or a CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor).
[0129] Furthermore, optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 may also include a filter 800. The filter 800 may be disposed between the plurality of lenses and the image sensor 700. The filter 800 may be disposed between the image sensor 700 and the third lens group G3, which is closest to the image sensor 700 among the plurality of lens groups G1, G2, and G3. For example, the filter 800 may be disposed between the last lens of the third lens group G3, which is closest to the image sensor 700, and the image sensor 700.
[0130] The filter 800 may include at least one optical filter, such as an infrared filter or a protective glass. The filter 800 may allow light of a specified wavelength to pass through while filtering out light of other wavelengths. When the filter 800 includes an infrared filter, it may block radiant heat emitted from external light from being transmitted to the image sensor 700. Furthermore, the filter 800 may allow visible light to pass through while reflecting infrared light.
[0131] Optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 may include an aperture (not shown). The aperture can control the amount of light incident on optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200.
[0132] An aperture stop can be positioned in front of the first lenses 101, 201, and 301, or between two lenses selected from the first to seventh lenses 101-107, 201-207, and 301-307. For example, an aperture stop can be positioned between the third lenses 103, 203, and 303 and the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304. Furthermore, at least one lens among the first to seventh lenses 101-107, 201-207, and 301-307 can function as an aperture stop. For example, the object-side surface or sensor-side surface of one of the lenses selected from the first to seventh lenses 101-107, 201-207, and 301-307 can function as an aperture stop for controlling the amount of light. For example, at least one lens surface among the sensor-side surface (sixth surface S6) of the third lenses 103, 203, and 303 and the object-side surface (seventh surface S7) of the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304 can function as an aperture stop.

[0135] Reference Figure 1 and Figure 2 The optical system 1000 includes a lens unit, and the lens unit may include first to seventh lenses 101-107. The first to seventh lenses 101-107 may be arranged sequentially along the optical axis OA of the optical system 1000. Light corresponding to information about an object may pass through the first to seventh lenses 101-107 and the filter 800 and be incident on the image sensor 700.
[0136] The first lens 101 can be positioned closest to the object side. The first lens 101 can also be positioned furthest from the sensor side. The first lens 101 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The first lens 101 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material, and can be, for example, a plastic material.
[0137] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side first surface S1 of the first lens 101 is concave, and the sensor-side second surface S2 may also be concave. The first lens 101 may be concave on both sides. The first lens 101 may be made of plastic material and may have an aspherical surface.
[0138] The refractive index (n1) of the first lens 101 can satisfy the condition that n1 > 1.5, preferably n1 > 1.55. If the refractive index (n1) of the first lens 101 is less than this condition, then in order to increase the refractive power of the first and second lenses 101 and 102, the lens surface must be formed as an extremely deep concave or convex shape. In this case, lens manufacturing is not easy, the defect rate of the lens will increase, and it may lead to a decrease in the yield.
[0139] The second lens 102 can be positioned at the second location from the object side. The second lens 102 can also be positioned at the sixth location from the sensor side. The second lens 102 can be positioned between the first lens 101 and the third lens 103. The second lens 102 can have positive refractive power along the optical axis OA. The second lens 102 can have a different refractive power along the optical axis OA than the first lens 101. The second lens 102 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the second lens 102 can be made of a plastic material.
[0140] The third surface S3 of the second lens 102 on the object side can be concave relative to the optical axis OA, and the fourth surface S4 on the sensor side can be convex. The second lens 102 can be a meniscus concave towards the object side. The second lens 102 can also be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The second lens 102 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the third surface S3 and the fourth surface S4 can be... Figure 2 The L2S1 and L2S2 settings.
[0141] The third lens 103 can be positioned at the third location from the object side. The third lens 103 can be positioned at the fifth location from the sensor side. The third lens 103 can be positioned between the second lens 102 and the fourth lens 104. The third lens 103 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The third lens 103 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material. For example, the third lens 103 can be made of glass.
[0142] Relative to the optical axis, the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 103 on the object side can be convex, and the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side can be concave. The third lens 103 can be a meniscus convex towards the object side. The third lens 103 can also be a concave meniscus towards the sensor side. The third lens 103 is made of glass and can have aspherical surfaces. The third lens 103 can be made of a glass mold (GM) material. The aspherical coefficients of the fifth surface S5 and the sixth surface S6 can be... Figure 3 The L3S1 and L3S2 settings.
[0143] A stop (stop) can be positioned around the periphery of the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side of the third lens 103. A stop (stop) can also be positioned around the seventh surface S7 on the object side of the fourth lens 103. This stop reduces the time-to-live (TTL) within the field of view, enabling miniaturization of the optical system. Therefore, yield degradation due to weight issues can be prevented, and production efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, miniaturization of the optical system is possible by reducing the TTL within the horizontal field of view (FOV_D) range of 20-40 degrees.
[0144] The lens closest to the stop can be made of glass. The third lens 103 on the object side closest to the stop and the fourth lens 104 on the sensor side closest to the stop can both be made of glass. Because the lens closest to the stop is more sensitive to the overall optical system, it can be made of glass to minimize the impact of temperature changes. The refractive powers of the two lenses closest to the stop can be different. The third lens 103 can have a positive (+) refractive power, and the fourth lens 104 can have a negative (-) refractive power.
[0145] In the entire optical system 1000, the lens made of glass can have the shortest focal length. The lens made of glass can also have the greatest refractive power. The fourth lens 104, made of glass, can have the shortest focal length. The fourth lens 104, made of glass, can also have the greatest refractive power. The Abbe number difference between the two lenses closest to the stop can be greater than 25 and less than 35. In the optical system 1000, the Abbe number of one of the lenses closest to the stop can be the largest. By placing the two lenses with a large Abbe number difference near the stop, the generation of chromatic aberration noise can be reduced.
[0146] The fourth lens 104 can be positioned fourth from the object side. The fourth lens 104 can be positioned fourth from the sensor side. The fourth lens 104 can be positioned between the third lens 103 and the fifth lens 105. The fourth lens 104 can have positive (+) refractive power. The fourth lens 104 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material. For example, the fourth lens 104 can be made of glass.
[0147] The object-side seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 104, relative to the optical axis, can be convex, and the sensor-side eighth surface S8 can also be convex. The fourth lens 104 can be convex on both sides. The fourth lens 104 can be made of glass and can have aspherical surfaces. The fourth lens 104 can be made of a glass mold (GM) material. The aspherical coefficients of the seventh and eighth surfaces S7 and S8 can be... Figure 3 The L4S1 and L4S2 settings.
[0148] The fifth lens 105 can be configured as the fifth lens from the object side. The fifth lens 105 can also be configured as the third lens from the sensor side. The fifth lens 105 can be positioned between the fourth lens 104 and the sixth lens 106. The fifth lens 105 can have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The fifth lens 105 can have negative (-) refractive power. The fifth lens 105 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fifth lens 105 can be made of a plastic material.
[0149] Relative to the optical axis OA, the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 105 on the object side can be concave, and the tenth surface S10 on the sensor side can be convex. The fifth lens 105 can be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The fifth lens 105 can also be a meniscus concave towards the object side. The fifth lens 105 is made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the ninth and tenth surfaces S9 and S10 can be... Figure 3 The L5S1 and L5S2 settings.
[0150] The sixth lens 106 can be configured as the sixth lens from the object side. The sixth lens 106 can also be configured as the second lens from the sensor side. The sixth lens 106 can have positive (+) refractive power. The sixth lens 106 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the sixth lens 106 can be made of a plastic material.
[0151] Relative to the optical axis OA, the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 106 on the object side can be concave, and the twelfth surface S12 on the sensor side can be convex. The sixth lens 106 can be a meniscus that is concave towards the object side. The sixth lens 106 can also be a meniscus that is convex towards the sensor side. At least one or both of the eleventh surface S11 and the twelfth surface S12 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the eleventh and twelfth surfaces S11 and S12 can be... Figure 3 The L6S1 and L6S2 settings.
[0152] The seventh lens 107 can be positioned closest to the sensor side. The seventh lens 107 can also be positioned furthest from the object side. The seventh lens 107 can have negative (-) refractive power. The seventh lens 107 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the seventh lens 107 can be made of plastic.
[0153] Relative to the optical axis OA, the thirteenth surface S13 of the seventh lens 107 on the object side can be convex, and the fourteenth surface S14 on the sensor side can be concave. The seventh lens 107 can be a meniscus convex on the object side. At least one or both of the thirteenth surface S13 and the fourteenth surface S14 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the thirteenth and fourteenth surfaces S13 and S14 can be... Figure 3 The L7S1 and L7S2 configuration methods.
[0154] Table 1
[0155] Table 1 shows the surface number, radius, center thickness of each lens or distance between lens surfaces, refractive index, Abbe number, effective radius (half stop), and focal length of the lenses according to the first embodiment of the present invention. Here, the units for radius of curvature and thickness or distance can be mm.
[0156] Table 2
[0157] Table 2 shows the variable gaps D1, D2, and D3 between lenses when the optical system according to the first embodiment of the present invention is operated in any of the wide-angle, (medium-focal), and telephoto modes. In this document, the wide-angle end may refer to the first mode, and the telephoto end may refer to the second mode. The wide-angle end may be referred to as wide-angle, and the telephoto end may be referred to as telephoto.
[0158] In the optical system according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the distance between adjacent lens groups can change during the process of changing the zoom magnification from the wide-angle end to the medium focal length end and then to the telephoto end. The first lens group G1 is fixed, and only the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can move. The first lens group G1 can be a fixed group, and the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be movable groups.
[0159] When moving from the wide-angle end to the medium-focal end, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0160] When moving from the mid-range focal length to the telephoto focal length, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0161] When moving from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0162] The travel length of the second lens group G2 can be 2 mm-3 mm, and preferably about 2.358 mm. The travel length of the third lens group G3 can be 2.5 mm-3.5 mm, and preferably about 3.095 mm. The moving speeds of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be different. The moving speed of the third lens group G3 can be greater than the moving speed of the second lens group G2.
[0163] By moving the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3, the zoom ratio of the zoom optical system can be continuously adjusted from approximately 3x to approximately 5x. In this document, zoom ratio can refer to the ratio of the focal length corresponding to the center thickness of the optical system of this embodiment in the mobile terminal to that of the reference optical system. In the first embodiment, the zoom ratio at the wide-angle end and the telephoto end can be within the range of 1x to 2x, and can reach approximately 1.7x.
[0164] Table 3
[0165] Table 3 shows the parameters of the above mathematical formula in the optical system 1000 of the first embodiment. The parameters include the effective focal length (F) (mm), BFL (back focal length) (mm), EPD (mm), SD (mm), Fno, FOV (degrees) (i.e., the optical axis distance from the stop to the twelfth surface S12) at the wide-angle end and telephoto end of the optical system 1000, the focal length (f1-f7) (mm) and edge thickness (ET1-ET7) of the first to seventh lenses 101-107, the focal length (f_G1, f_G2 and f_G3) (mm) of the first to third lens groups G1, G2 and G3, the stroke length (G2_stroke) of the second lens group G2, the stroke length (G3_stroke) of the third lens group G3, and the total optical axis of the optical system 1000. These parameters correspond to: distance (TTL) (mm), ImgH (mm), maximum effective diameter (CA_Max), minimum effective diameter (CA_Min), average effective diameter (CA_Aver) of the first to seventh lenses 101-107, maximum center thickness (L_CT_max), minimum center thickness (L_CT_min), average center thickness (L_CT_aver), and the maximum value between adjacent lens gaps (Air_max).
[0166] The center thickness of the first to seventh lenses 101-107 is represented by CT1-CT7, the edge thickness at both ends of the effective area of each lens is represented by ET1-ET7, the center gap between two adjacent lenses is represented by CG1-CG6, and the edge gap between the edges of each lens is represented by EG1-EG6. BFL (back focal length) is the optical axis distance from the image sensor 700 to the center of the last lens. TTL is the optical axis distance from the center of the first surface S1 of the first lens 101 to the upper surface of the image sensor 700.
[0167] When comparing the absolute values of the radii of curvature of each lens, the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 101 on the optical axis OA can be the largest among all lenses, and the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6 of the third lens 103 can be the smallest among all lenses. The difference between the maximum and minimum radii of curvature can be 40 times or more, for example, 45 to 55 times. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 101 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the second surface S2. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the third surface S3 of the second lens 102 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourth surface S4. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 103 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 104 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the eighth surface S8. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 105 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the tenth surface S10. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 106 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the twelfth surface S12. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the thirteenth surface S13 of the seventh lens 107 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourteenth surface S14.
[0168] The ratio of the radii of curvature of each lens can satisfy the following condition.

[0170] Condition 2: 10 < |L2R1 / L2R2| < 15
[0171] Condition 3: 3 < |L3R1 / L3R2| < 5
[0172] Condition 4: 0.3 < |L4R1 / L4R2| < 0.8
[0173] Condition 5: 0.1 < |L5R1 / L5R2| < 0.3
[0174] Condition 6: 2 <L6R1 / L6R2<4
[0175] Condition 7:13 <L7R1 / L7R2<17

[0183] Condition 6: CT6 > CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT7
[0184] Condition 7: CT2, CT4, CT5, CT6 > CT7 > CT1, CT3
[0185] When zooming, the gaps CG1 between the first lens 101 and the second lens 102, CG2 between the second lens 102 and the third lens 103, CG4 between the fourth lens 104 and the fifth lens 105, and G6 between the sixth lens 106 and the seventh lens 107 remain constant, while the gaps CG3 between the third lens 103 and the fourth lens 104, and CG5 between the fifth lens 105 and the sixth lens 106 can vary. [0188] When describing the effective diameter, the lens with the largest effective diameter can be the fourth lens 104. In this paper, the effective diameter is the average of the effective diameters of the object-side surface and the sensor-side surface of each lens. The lens surface with the largest effective diameter can be the seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 104. The lens with the smallest effective diameter can be the sixth lens 106. The lens surface with the smallest effective diameter can be the tenth surface S10 of the fifth lens 105.
[0189] The average effective diameter of the first to seventh lenses 101-107 can be smaller than the diagonal length of the image sensor 700. Therefore, light incident through the multiple lenses arranged along the optical axis can be guided to the image sensor 700.

[0197] Condition 7: CA_L1, CA_L2, CA_L3, CA_L4, CA_L5>CA_L7>CA_L6
[0198] When specifying refractive indices, the refractive index of the third lens 103 can be the highest among all lenses, and can be greater than 1.6, for example, greater than 1.65. The refractive index of the fourth lens 104 can be the lowest among all lenses. For example, the refractive index of the fourth lens 104 can be less than 1.6, for example, less than 1.59. The difference between the maximum and minimum refractive indices can be 0.1 or greater.

Therefore, light incident from the object side can move away from the optical axis and then converge along the optical axis, thus forming a stable optical path.
[0223] When comparing the absolute values of the combined focal lengths of the first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3, the combined focal length of the third lens group G3 can be the largest, and the combined focal length of the second lens group G2 can be the smallest. The relationship between the combined focal lengths of the first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can satisfy |f_G3|>|f_G1|>|f_G2|.
[0224] In the first lens 101, the difference between the maximum and minimum thickness T1 can be at least 1, for example, between 1 and 1.3 times, and the center thickness CT1 can be the minimum, while the edge thickness ET1 can be the maximum. In the second lens 102, the maximum thickness T2 can be 2 to 2.5 times the minimum thickness. The center thickness (CT2) of the second lens 102 is the minimum, and the edge thickness (ET2) is the maximum. The thickness T3 of the third lens 103 can be minimum at the center and maximum at the edge, and the maximum thickness is 2.5 to 3 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T4 of the fourth lens 104 can be maximum at the center and minimum at the edge, and the maximum thickness is 1 to 1.5 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T5 of the fifth lens 105 can be minimum at the center and maximum at the edge, and the maximum thickness is 1 to 1.5 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T6 of the sixth lens 106 can be maximum at the center and minimum at the edge, and the maximum thickness is 1 to 1.5 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T7 of the seventh lens 107 can be the smallest at the center and the largest at the edge, and the maximum thickness is 2-2.5 times the minimum thickness.
[0225] The thickness of each lens can satisfy any one of the following conditions.
[0226] Condition 1: 0.5 <CT1 / ET1<1、1<ET1 / CT1<1.3
[0227] Condition 2: 2 <CT2 / ET2<2.5、0.1<ET2 / CT2<0.5
[0228] Condition 3: 0.1 <CT3 / ET3<0.5、2<ET3 / CT3<2.5
[0229] Condition 4: 2.5 <CT4 / ET4<3、0.1<ET4 / CT4<0.5
[0230] Condition 5: 0.5 <CT5 / ET5<1、1<ET5 / CT5<1.5
[0231] Condition 6: 1 <CT6 / ET6<1.5、0.5<ET6 / CT6<1
[0232] Condition 7: 0.1 <CT7 / ET7<0.5、2<ET7 / CT7<2.5

[0234] Among the gaps G1-G6 between the lenses, the gap G1 between the first lens 101 and the second lens 102 can be the largest at the center and the smallest at the edge. The gap G2 between the second lens 102 and the third lens 103 can be the largest at the edge and the smallest at the center. The gap G3 between the third lens 103 and the fourth lens 104 can be the largest at the edge and the smallest at the center. The gap G4 between the fourth lens 104 and the fifth lens 105 can be the largest at the edge and the smallest at the center. The fifth gap G5 between the fifth lens 105 and the sixth lens 106 can be the largest at the center and the smallest at the edge. The sixth gap G6 between the sixth lens 106 and the seventh lens 107 can be the smallest at the center and the largest at the edge.
[0235] Figure 4 and Figure 6 It is shown Figure 1 and Figure 2 The graphs show the diffraction MTF (modulation transfer function) at the wide-angle and telephoto ends of the optical system, and also show the brightness ratio (modulation) according to the spatial frequency. Figure 4 and Figure 6 As shown, in the first embodiment of the present invention, the MTF deviation between the wide-angle end and the telephoto end at room temperature can be less than 10%, that is, 7% or less.
[0236] Figure 5 and Figure 7 It is shown Figure 1 and Figure 2 A graph showing the aberration characteristics at the wide-angle and telephoto ends of an optical system. Figure 5 and Figure 7 In the aberration diagram, spherical aberration (longitudinal spherical aberration), astigmatism curve, and distortion are measured from left to right. Figure 5 and Figure 7 In the graph, the X-axis represents focal length (mm) and distortion percentage (%), while the Y-axis represents image height. Furthermore, the spherical aberration graph is for light with wavelengths of approximately 435 nm, 486 nm, 546 nm, 587 nm, and 656 nm, while the astigmatism and distortion graph is for light with a wavelength of approximately 546 nm. Figure 5 and Figure 7 In the aberration diagram, the closer the curves at the wide and telephoto ends are to the Y-axis, the better the aberration correction function. Therefore, it can be seen that the measurements of the optical system 1000 according to the first embodiment are close to the Y-axis in almost all areas. That is to say, the resolution of the optical system 1000 according to the first embodiment can be improved, and it can have good optical performance not only at the center of the field of view (FOV) but also in the peripheral part.

[0239] Reference Figure 8 and Figure 9 The optical system 1000 includes a lens unit, which may include a first lens 201 to a seventh lens 207. The first to seventh lenses 201-207 may be arranged sequentially along the optical axis OA of the optical system 1000. Light corresponding to information about an object may pass through the first to seventh lenses 201-207 and the filter 800 and be incident on the image sensor 700.
[0240] The first lens 201 can be positioned closest to the object side. The first lens 201 can also be positioned furthest from the sensor side. The first lens 201 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The first lens 201 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material, and can be, for example, a plastic material.
[0241] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side first surface S1 of the first lens 201 is concave, and the sensor-side second surface S2 can also be concave. The first lens 201 can be concave on both sides. The first lens 201 is made of plastic material and can have an aspherical surface. The aspherical coefficients of the first surface S1 and the second surface S2 can be... Figure 10 The L1S1 and L1S2 settings.
[0242] The refractive index (n1) of the first lens 201 can satisfy the condition that n1 > 1.5, preferably n1 > 1.55. If the refractive index (n1) of the first lens 201 is less than this condition, then in order to increase the refractive power of the first and second lenses 201 and 202, the lens surface must be formed with an extremely deep concave or convex shape. In this case, lens manufacturing is not easy, the defect rate of the lens will increase, and it may lead to a decrease in the yield.
[0243] The second lens 202 can be positioned at the second location from the object side. The second lens 202 can also be positioned at the sixth location from the sensor side. The second lens 202 can be positioned between the first lens 201 and the third lens 203. The second lens 202 can have positive refractive power along the optical axis OA. The second lens 202 can have a different refractive power along the optical axis OA than the first lens 201. The second lens 202 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the second lens 202 can be made of plastic.
[0244] Relative to the optical axis OA, the third surface S3 of the second lens 202 on the object side can be concave, and the fourth surface S4 on the sensor side can be convex. The second lens 202 can be a meniscus that is concave towards the object side. The second lens 202 can also be a meniscus that convex towards the sensor side. The second lens 202 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the third surface S3 and the fourth surface S4 can be... Figure 10 The L2S1 and L2S2 settings.
[0245] The third lens 203 can be positioned at the third location from the object side. The third lens 203 can be positioned at the fifth location from the sensor side. The third lens 203 can be positioned between the second lens 202 and the fourth lens 204. The third lens 203 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The third lens 203 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the third lens 203 can be made of glass.
[0246] Relative to the optical axis, the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 203 on the object side can be convex, and the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side can be concave. The third lens 203 can also be a meniscus convex towards the object side. Alternatively, it can be a concave meniscus towards the sensor side. The third lens 203 is made of glass and can have aspherical surfaces. The third lens 203 can be made of a glass mold (GM) material. The aspherical coefficients of the fifth surface S5 and the sixth surface S6 can be... Figure 10 The L3S1 and L3S2 settings.
[0247] A stop (STOP) can be positioned around the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side of the third lens 203. A stop (STOP) can also be positioned around the seventh surface S7 on the object side of the fourth lens 203.
[0248] The lens closest to the stop can be made of glass. The third lens 203 on the object side closest to the stop and the fourth lens 204 on the sensor side closest to the stop can both be made of glass. Because the lens closest to the stop is the sensitive lens affecting the entire optical system, it can be made of glass to minimize the impact of temperature changes. The refractive powers of the two lenses closest to the stop can be different. The third lens 203 can have a positive (+) refractive power, and the fourth lens 204 can have a negative (-) refractive power.
[0249] In the entire optical system 1100, the lens made of glass can have the shortest focal length. The lens made of glass can also have the greatest refractive power. The fourth lens 204, made of glass, can have the shortest focal length. The fourth lens 204, made of glass, can also have the greatest refractive power. The Abbe number difference between the two lenses closest to the stop can be greater than 25 and less than 35. In the optical system 1100, the Abbe number of one of the lenses closest to the stop can be the largest. By placing the two lenses with a large Abbe number difference near the stop, chromatic aberration noise can be reduced.
[0250] The fourth lens 204 can be positioned fourth from the object side. The fourth lens 204 can be positioned fourth from the sensor side. The fourth lens 204 can be positioned between the third lens 203 and the fifth lens 205. The fourth lens 204 can have positive (+) refractive power. The fourth lens 204 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fourth lens 204 can be made of glass.
[0251] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 204 can be convex, and the sensor-side eighth surface S8 can be convex. The fourth lens 204 can be convex on both sides. The fourth lens 204 can be made of glass and can have aspherical surfaces. The fourth lens 204 can be made of a glass mold (GM) material. The aspherical coefficients of the seventh and eighth surfaces S7 and S8 can be... Figure 10The L4S1 and L4S2 settings.
[0252] The fifth lens 205 can be configured as the fifth lens from the object side. The fifth lens 205 can also be configured as the third lens from the sensor side. The fifth lens 205 can be positioned between the fourth lens 204 and the sixth lens 206. The fifth lens 205 can have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The fifth lens 205 can have negative (-) refractive power. The fifth lens 205 can comprise plastic or glass material. For example, the fifth lens 205 can be made of plastic.
[0253] Relative to the optical axis OA, the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 205 on the object side can be concave, and the tenth surface S10 on the sensor side can be convex. The fifth lens 205 can be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The fifth lens 205 can also be a meniscus concave towards the object side. The fifth lens 205 is made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the ninth and tenth surfaces S9 and S10 can be... Figure 10 The L5S1 and L5S2 settings.
[0254] The sixth lens 206 can be configured as the sixth lens from the object side. The sixth lens 206 can also be configured as the second lens from the sensor side. The sixth lens 206 can have positive (+) refractive power. The sixth lens 206 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the sixth lens 206 can be made of a plastic material.
[0255] Relative to the optical axis OA, the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 206 on the object side can be concave, and the twelfth surface S12 on the sensor side can be convex. The sixth lens 206 can be a meniscus that is concave towards the object side. The sixth lens 206 can also be a meniscus that is convex towards the sensor side. At least one or both of the eleventh surface S11 and the twelfth surface S12 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the eleventh and twelfth surfaces S11 and S12 can be... Figure 10 The L6S1 and L6S2 settings.
[0256] The seventh lens 207 can be positioned closest to the sensor side. The seventh lens 207 can also be positioned furthest from the object side. The seventh lens 207 can have negative (-) refractive power. The seventh lens 207 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the seventh lens 207 can be made of plastic.
[0257] Relative to the optical axis OA, the thirteenth surface S13 of the seventh lens 207 on the object side can be convex, and the fourteenth surface S14 on the sensor side can be concave. The seventh lens 207 can be a meniscus convex on the object side. At least one or both of the thirteenth surface S13 and the fourteenth surface S14 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the thirteenth and fourteenth surfaces S13 and S14 can be... Figure 10 The L7S1 and L7S2 configuration methods.
[0258] Table 4
[0259] Table 4 shows the surface number, radius, center thickness of each lens or distance between lens surfaces, refractive index, Abbe number, effective radius (half stop), and focal length of the lenses according to the second embodiment of the present invention. Here, the units for radius of curvature and thickness or distance can be mm.
[0260] Table 5
[0261] Table 5 shows the variable gaps D1, D2, and D3 between lenses when the optical system according to the second embodiment of the present invention is operated in any of the wide-angle, middle-focal-length, and telephoto modes. In this document, wide-angle may refer to the first mode, and telephoto may refer to the second mode. Wide-angle may be referred to as (wide)-angle, and telephoto may be referred to as telephoto.
[0262] In the optical system according to the second embodiment of the present invention, the distance between adjacent lens groups can change during the process of changing the zoom magnification from the wide-angle end to the medium focal length end and then to the telephoto end. The first lens group G1 is fixed, and only the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can move. The first lens group G1 can be a fixed group, and the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be movable groups.
[0263] When moving from the wide-angle end to the medium-focal end, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0264] When moving from the mid-range focal length to the telephoto focal length, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0265] When moving from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0266] The travel length of the second lens group G2 can be 2 mm-3 mm, and preferably about 2.358 mm.
[0267] By moving the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3, the zoom ratio of the zoom optical system can be continuously adjusted from approximately 3x to approximately 5x. In this document, zoom ratio can refer to the ratio of the focal length of the optical system according to an embodiment of the invention to the focal length of the reference optical system set with the mobile terminal. In the second embodiment, the zoom ratio at the wide-angle end and the telephoto end can satisfy a range of 1x to 2x, and can satisfy approximately 1.7x zoom ratio.
[0268] Table 6
[0269] Table 6 shows the parameters of the above mathematical expression in the optical system 1100 of the second embodiment. TTL is the optical axis distance from the center of the first surface S1 of the first lens 201 to the upper surface of the image sensor 700.
[0271] When comparing the absolute values of the radii of curvature of each lens, the radius of curvature of the second surface S2 of the first lens 201 on the optical axis OA can be the largest among all lenses, and the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6 of the third lens 203 can be the smallest among all lenses. The difference between the maximum and minimum radii of curvature can be 40 times or more, for example, 45 to 60 times. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 201 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the second surface S2. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the third surface S3 of the second lens 202 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourth surface S4. [0288] Condition 7: CT1, CT2, CT4, CT5, CT6 > CT7 > CT3
[0289] When zooming, the gaps CG1 between the first lens 201 and the second lens 202, CG2 between the second lens 202 and the third lens 203, CG4 between the fourth lens 204 and the fifth lens 205, and CG6 between the sixth lens 206 and the sixth lens 207 remain constant, while the gaps CG2 between the second lens 202 and the third lens 203 and CG5 between the fifth lens 205 and the sixth lens 206 can vary. [0305] When specifying refractive indices, the refractive index of the third lens 203 can be the highest among all lenses, and can be greater than 1.6, for example, greater than 1.65. The refractive index of the fourth lens 204 can be the lowest among all lenses. For example, the refractive index of the fourth lens 204 can be less than 1.6, for example, less than 1.55. The difference between the maximum and minimum refractive indices can be 0.1 or greater.
[0306] The refractive index of each lens can satisfy any of the following conditions.

[0318] Condition 5: v1, v2, v3, v4, v7 > v5 = v6
[0319] The focal lengths F2, F4, and F6 of the second, fourth, and sixth lenses 202, 204, and 206 can be positive (+). The second, fourth, and sixth lenses 202, 204, and 206 can have positive (+) refractive power. The focal lengths F1, F3, and F5 of the first, third, and fifth lenses 201, 203, and 205 can be negative (-). The first, third, and fifth lenses 201, 203, and 205 can have negative (-) refractive power.
[0320] When comparing the absolute values of focal length, the first lens 201 has the largest focal length among all lenses, which can be 90°-110°. The fourth lens 204 has the smallest focal length among all lenses, and the absolute value of the focal length of the fourth lens 204 can be 3-5.
[0321] The absolute value of the focal length of each lens can satisfy any one of the following conditions.

[0324] Condition 3: |f1|、|f2||f5||f6|、|f7|>|f3|>|f4|
[0325] Condition 4: |f1|, |f2|, |f3|, |f5|, |f6|, |f7| > |f4|
[0326] Condition 5: |f1|、|f6|>|f5|>|f2|、|f3||f4|、|f7|
[0327] Condition 6: |f1|>|f6|>|f2|、|f3||f4||f5|、|f7|
[0328] Condition 7: |f1|、|f5|、|f6|>|f7|>|f2|、|f3|、|f4|
[0329] The combined focal length (f_G1) of the first lens group G1 can be negative (-). The first lens group G1 can have a negative (-) combined refractive power. The combined focal length (f_G2) of the second lens group G2 can be positive (+). The second lens group G2 can have a positive (+) combined refractive power. The combined focal length (f_G3) of the third lens group G3 can be negative (-). The third lens group G3 can have a negative (-) combined refractive power. Therefore, light incident from the object side can move away from the optical axis and then converge along the optical axis, thus forming a stable optical path.
[0330] When comparing the absolute values of the combined focal lengths of the first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3, the combined focal length of the first lens group G1 can be the largest, and the combined focal length of the second lens group G2 can be the smallest. The relationship between the combined focal lengths of the first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can satisfy |f_G1|>|f_G3|>|f_G2|.
[0331] The difference between the maximum and minimum thickness of the first lens 201 can be 1 or more, for example, 1 to 1.3 times, and the center thickness CT1 can be the minimum, while the edge thickness ET1 can be the maximum. The maximum thickness of the second lens 202 can be 2 to 2.5 times the minimum thickness. The second lens 202 can have a minimum center thickness CT2 and a maximum edge thickness ET2. The thickness T3 of the third lens 203 can be minimum at the center and maximum at the edge, with the maximum thickness being 2.5 to 3 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T4 of the fourth lens 204 can be maximum at the center and minimum at the edge, with the maximum thickness being 1 to 1.5 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T5 of the fifth lens 205 can be minimum at the center and maximum at the edge, with the maximum thickness being 1 to 1.5 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T6 of the sixth lens 206 can be maximum at the center and minimum at the edge, with the maximum thickness being 1 to 1.5 times the minimum thickness. The thickness T7 of the seventh lens 207 can be minimum at the center and maximum at the edge, with the maximum thickness being 1.5 to 2 times the minimum thickness.
[0332] The thickness of each lens can satisfy any one of the following conditions.
[0333] Condition 1: 0.5 <CT1 / ET1<1、1<ET1 / CT1<1.3
[0334] Condition 2: 2 <CT2 / ET2<2.5、0.1<ET2 / CT2<0.5
[0335] Condition 3: 0.1 <CT3 / ET3<0.5、2<ET3 / CT3<2.5
[0336] Condition 4: 2.5 <CT4 / ET4<3、0.1<ET4 / CT4<0.5

[0341] Among the gaps G1-G6 between the lenses, the gap G1 between the first lens 201 and the second lens 202 can be the largest at the center and the smallest at the edge. The gap G2 between the second lens 202 and the third lens 203 can be the largest at the edge and the smallest at the center. The gap G3 between the third lens 203 and the fourth lens 204 can be the largest at the edge and the smallest at the center. The gap G4 between the fourth lens 204 and the fifth lens 205 can be the largest at the edge and the smallest at the center. The fifth gap G5 between the fifth lens 205 and the sixth lens 206 can be the largest at the center and the smallest at the edge. The sixth gap G6 between the sixth lens 206 and the seventh lens 207 can be the smallest at the center and the largest at the edge.
[0342] Figure 11 and Figure 13 It is shown Figure 8 and Figure 9 The graphs show the diffraction MTF (modulation transfer function) at the wide-angle and telephoto ends of the optical system, and also show the brightness ratio (modulation) according to the spatial frequency. Figure 11 and Figure 13 As shown, in the second embodiment of the present invention, the MTF deviation between the wide-angle end and the telephoto end at room temperature can be less than 10%, that is, 7% or less.
[0343] Figure 12 and Figure 14 It is shown Figure 8 and Figure 9 A graph showing the aberration characteristics at the wide-angle and telephoto ends of an optical system. Figure 12 and Figure 14 In the aberration diagram, spherical aberration (longitudinal spherical aberration), astigmatism curve, and distortion are measured from left to right. Figure 12 and Figure 14 In the graph, the X-axis represents focal length (mm) and distortion percentage (%), while the Y-axis represents image height. Furthermore, the spherical aberration graph is plotted for light with wavelengths of approximately 435 nm, 486 nm, 546 nm, 587 nm, and 656 nm, while the astigmatism and distortion graph is plotted for light with a wavelength of approximately 546 nm. Figure 12 and Figure 14In the aberration diagram, the closer the curves at the wide and telephoto ends are to the Y-axis, the better the aberration correction function. Therefore, it can be seen that the measurements of the optical system 1100 according to the second embodiment are close to the Y-axis in almost all regions. That is to say, the resolution of the optical system 1100 according to the second embodiment can be improved, and it can have good optical performance not only in the central part of the field of view (FOV) but also in the peripheral part.

[0346] Reference Figure 15 and Figure 16 The optical system 1200 includes a lens unit, which may include a first lens 301 to a seventh lens 307. The first to seventh lenses 301-307 may be arranged sequentially along the optical axis OA of the optical system 1200. Light corresponding to information about an object may pass through the first to seventh lenses 301-307 and the filter 800 and be incident on the image sensor 700.
[0347] The first lens 301 can be positioned closest to the object side. The first lens 301 can also be positioned furthest from the sensor side. The first lens 301 can have positive refractive power along the optical axis OA. The first lens 301 can comprise a plastic or glass material, and can be, for example, a plastic material.
[0348] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side first surface S1 of the first lens 301 can be convex, and the sensor-side second surface S2 can be convex. The first lens 301 can be convex on both sides. The first lens 301 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the first surface S1 and the second surface S2 can be... Figure 17 The L1S1 and L1S2 settings.
[0349] The refractive index (n1) of the first lens 301 can satisfy the condition that n1 > 1.5, preferably n1 > 1.55. If the refractive index (n1) of the first lens 301 is less than this condition, then in order to increase the refractive power of the first and second lenses 301 and 302, the lens surface must be formed with an extremely deep concave or convex shape. In this case, lens manufacturing is not easy, the defect rate of the lens will increase, and it may lead to a decrease in the yield.
[0350] The second lens 302 can be positioned at the second location from the object side. The second lens 302 can be positioned at the sixth location from the sensor side. The second lens 302 can be positioned between the first lens 301 and the third lens 303. The second lens 302 can have a positive (+) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The second lens 302 can have a different refractive power on the optical axis OA than the first lens 301. The second lens 302 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material. For example, the second lens 302 can be made of a plastic material.
[0351] Relative to the optical axis OA, the third surface S3 of the second lens 302 on the object side can be concave, and the fourth surface S4 on the sensor side can be convex. The second lens 302 can be a meniscus that is concave towards the object side. The second lens 302 can also be a meniscus that convex towards the sensor side. The second lens 302 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the third surface S3 and the fourth surface S4 can be... Figure 17 The L2S1 and L2S2 settings.
[0352] The third lens 303 can be positioned at the third location from the object side. The third lens 303 can be positioned at the fifth location from the sensor side. The third lens 303 can be positioned between the second lens 302 and the fourth lens 304. The third lens 303 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The third lens 303 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material. For example, the third lens 303 can be made of glass.
[0353] Relative to the optical axis, the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 303 on the object side can be convex, and the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side can be concave. The third lens 303 can also be a meniscus convex towards the object side. Alternatively, it can be a concave meniscus towards the sensor side. The third lens 303 is made of glass and can have aspherical surfaces. It can also be made of a glass mold (GM) material. The aspheric coefficients of the fifth surface S5 and the sixth surface S6 can be... Figure 17 The L3S1 and L3S2 settings.
[0354] A stop (STOP) can be positioned around the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side of the third lens 303. A stop (STOP) can also be positioned around the seventh surface S7 on the object side of the fourth lens 303. This stop reduces the TTL within the field of view and enables miniaturization of the optical system. Therefore, yield degradation due to weight issues can be prevented, and production efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, miniaturization of the optical system is possible by reducing the TTL within the horizontal field of view (FOV_D) range of 20-40 degrees.
[0355] The lens closest to the stop can be made of glass. The third lens 303 on the object side closest to the stop and the fourth lens 304 on the sensor side closest to the stop can both be made of glass. Because the lens closest to the stop is the sensitive lens affecting the entire optical system, it can be made of glass to minimize the impact of temperature changes. The refractive powers of the two lenses closest to the stop can be different. The third lens 303 can have a positive (+) refractive power, and the fourth lens 304 can have a negative (-) refractive power.
[0356] In the entire optical system 1200, the lens made of glass can have the shortest focal length. The lens made of glass can also have the greatest refractive power. The fourth lens 304, made of glass, can have the shortest focal length. The fourth lens 304, made of glass, can also have the greatest refractive power. The Abbe number difference between the two lenses closest to the stop can be greater than 25 and less than 35. In the optical system 1200, the Abbe number of one of the lenses closest to the stop can be the largest. By placing the two lenses with a large Abbe number difference near the stop, chromatic aberration noise can be reduced.
[0357] The fourth lens 304 can be the fourth lens disposed from the object side. The fourth lens 304 can be positioned at the fourth location from the sensor side. The fourth lens 304 can be disposed between the third lens 303 and the fifth lens 305. The fourth lens 304 can have positive (+) refractive power. The fourth lens 304 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the fourth lens 304 can be made of glass.
[0358] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 304 can be convex, and the sensor-side eighth surface S8 can be convex. The fourth lens 304 can be convex on both sides. The fourth lens 304 can be made of glass and can have aspherical surfaces. The fourth lens 304 can be made of a glass mold (GM) material. The aspherical coefficients of the seventh and eighth surfaces S7 and S8 can be... Figure 17 The L4S1 and L4S2 settings.
[0359] The fifth lens 305 can be configured as the fifth lens from the object side. The fifth lens 305 can also be configured as the third lens from the sensor side. The fifth lens 305 can be positioned between the fourth lens 304 and the sixth lens 306. The fifth lens 305 can have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The fifth lens 305 can have negative (-) refractive power. The fifth lens 305 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fifth lens 305 can be made of a plastic material.
[0360] Relative to the optical axis OA, the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 305 on the object side can be concave, and the tenth surface S10 on the sensor side can be convex. The fifth lens 305 can be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The fifth lens 305 can also be a meniscus concave towards the object side. The fifth lens 305 is made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the ninth and tenth surfaces S9 and S10 can be... Figure 17 The L5S1 and L5S2 settings.
[0361] The sixth lens 306 can be configured as the sixth lens from the object side. The sixth lens 306 can also be configured as the second lens from the sensor side. The sixth lens 306 can have positive (+) refractive power. The sixth lens 306 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the sixth lens 306 can be made of a plastic material.
[0362] Relative to the optical axis OA, the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 306 on the object side can be concave, and the twelfth surface S12 on the sensor side can be convex. The sixth lens 306 can be a meniscus that is concave towards the object side. The sixth lens 306 can also be a meniscus that is convex towards the sensor side. At least one or both of the eleventh surface S11 and the twelfth surface S12 can be aspherical. The aspheric coefficients of the eleventh and twelfth surfaces S11 and S12 can be... Figure 17 The L6S1 and L6S2 settings.
[0363] The seventh lens 307 can be positioned closest to the sensor side. The seventh lens 307 can also be positioned furthest from the object side. The seventh lens 307 can have negative refractive power. The seventh lens 307 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the seventh lens 307 can be made of plastic.
[0364] Relative to the optical axis OA, the thirteenth surface S13 of the seventh lens 307 on the object side can be convex, and the fourteenth surface S14 on the sensor side can be concave. The seventh lens 307 can be a meniscus convex on the object side. At least one or both of the thirteenth surface S13 and the fourteenth surface S14 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the thirteenth and fourteenth surfaces S13 and S14 can be... Figure 17 The L7S1 and L7S2 configuration methods.
[0365] Table 7
[0366] Table 7 shows the surface number, radius, center thickness of each lens or distance between lens surfaces, refractive index, Abbe number, effective radius (half stop), and focal length of the lenses according to the third embodiment of the present invention. Here, the units for radius of curvature and thickness or distance can be mm.
[0367] Table 8
[0368] Table 8 shows the variable gaps D1, D2, and D3 between lenses when the optical system according to the third embodiment of the present invention is operated in any of the wide-angle, middle-focal-angle, and telephoto modes. In this document, wide-angle may refer to the first mode, and telephoto may refer to the second mode. Wide-angle may be referred to as wide-angle, and telephoto may be referred to as telephoto.
[0369] In the optical system according to the third embodiment of the present invention, the distance between adjacent lens groups can change during the process of changing the zoom magnification from the wide-angle end to the medium focal length end and then to the telephoto end. The first lens group G1 is fixed, and only the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can move. The first lens group G1 can be a fixed group, and the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be movable groups.
[0370] When moving from the wide-angle end to the medium-focal end, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0371] When moving from the mid-range focal length to the telephoto focal length, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0372] When moving from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 decreases, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 increases.
[0373] The travel length of the second lens group G2 can be 2 mm-3 mm, and preferably about 2.374 mm. The travel length of the third lens group G3 can be 2.5 mm-3.5 mm, and preferably about 3.189 mm. The moving speeds of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be different. The moving speed of the third lens group G3 can be greater than the moving speed of the second lens group G2.
[0374] By moving the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3, the zoom ratio of the zoom optical system can be continuously adjusted from approximately 3x to approximately 5x. In this document, zoom ratio can refer to the ratio of the focal length of the optical system according to the embodiment in the mobile terminal to the focal length of the set reference optical system. In the first embodiment, the zoom ratio at the wide-angle end and the telephoto end can satisfy a range of 1x to 2x, and can satisfy approximately 1.7x zoom ratio.
[0375] Table 9
[0376] Table 9 shows the parameters of the above mathematical expressions in the optical system 1200 of the third embodiment. The parameters include the effective focal length (F) (mm), back focal length (BFL) (mm), EPD (mm), SD (mm), Fno, FOV (degrees) (i.e., the optical axis distance from the stop to the twelfth surface S12) at the wide-angle end and telephoto end of the optical system 1200, the focal length (f1-f6) (mm) of the first to seventh lenses 301-307, the edge thickness ET1-ET6, the focal length (f_G1, f_G2 and f_G3) (mm) of the first to third lens groups G1, G2 and G3, the stroke length (G2_stroke) of the second lens group G2, the stroke length (G3_stroke) of the third lens group G3, and the entire optical system 1200. These parameters correspond to: optical axis distance TTL (mm), ImgH (mm), maximum effective diameter (CA_Max), minimum effective diameter (CA_Min), average effective diameter (CA_Aver), maximum center thickness (L_CT_max), minimum center thickness (L_CT_min), average center thickness (L_CT_aver) among the first to seventh lenses 301-307, and the maximum value among the gaps between adjacent lenses (Air_max).
[0377] The center thickness of the first to seventh lenses 301-307 is represented by CT1-CT7, the edge thickness at both ends of the effective area of each lens is represented by ET1-ET7, the center gap between two adjacent lenses is represented by CG1-CG6, and the edge gap between the edges of each lens is represented by EG1-EG6. BFL (back focal length) is the optical axis distance from the image sensor 700 to the center of the last lens. TTL is the optical axis distance from the center of the first surface S1 of the first lens 301 to the upper surface of the image sensor 700.
[0378] When comparing the absolute values of the radii of curvature of each lens, the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 301 on the optical axis OA can be the largest among all lenses, and the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6 of the third lens 303 can be the smallest among all lenses. The difference between the maximum and minimum radii of curvature can be 80 times or more, for example, 90 to 120 times. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 301 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the second surface S2. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the third surface S3 of the second lens 302 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourth surface S4. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 303 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 304 can be less than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the eighth surface S8. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 305 can be less than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the tenth surface S10. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 306 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the twelfth surface S12. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the thirteenth surface S13 of the seventh lens 307 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourteenth surface S14.
[0379] The ratio of the radii of curvature of each lens can satisfy the following condition.
[0380] Condition 1: 2 < |L1R1 / L1R2| < 3
[0381] Condition 2: 3 < |L2R1 / L2R2| < 7
[0382] Condition 3: 3 < |L3R1 / L3R2| < 5
[0383] Condition 4: 0.3 < |L4R1 / L4R2| < 0.8
[0384] Condition 5: 0.1 < |L5R1 / L5R2| < 0.3
[0385] Condition 6: 1 <L6R1 / L6R2<5
[0386] Condition 7: 20 <L7R1 / L7R2<25
[0387] When describing the center thickness of a lens based on its optical axis, the center thickness CT6 of the sixth lens 306 is the largest among all lenses, and the center thickness CT3 of the third lens 303 is the smallest. The difference between the largest and smallest center thickness among all lenses can range from 1.5 mm to 3 mm.
[0388] The center thickness of each lens can satisfy any one of the following conditions.
[0389] Condition 1: CT2, CT4, CT5, CT6 > CT1 > CT3, CT7
[0390] Condition 2: CT4, CT5, CT6 > CT2 > CT1, CT3, CT7
[0391] Condition 3: CT1, CT2, CT4, CT5, CT6, CT7 > CT3
[0392] Condition 4: CT6 > CT4 > CT1, CT2, CT3, CT5, CT7
[0393] Condition 5: CT4, CT6 > CT5 > CT1, CT2, CT3, CT7
[0394] Condition 6: CT6 > CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT7
[0395] Condition 7: CT1, CT2, CT4, CT5, CT6 > CT7 > CT3
[0396] When zooming, the gaps CG1 between the first lens 301 and the second lens 302, CG2 between the second lens 302 and the third lens 303, CG4 between the fourth lens 304 and the fifth lens 305, and G6 between the sixth lens 306 and the sixth lens 307 remain constant, while the gaps CG3 between the third lens 303 and the fourth lens 304, and CG5 between the fifth lens 305 and the sixth lens 306, can vary. Among the constant center gaps between the lenses, the center gap CG1 between the first lens 301 and the second lens 302 can be the largest, while the center gap CG5 between the fourth lens 304 and the fifth lens 305, and the center gap CG6 between the sixth lens 306 and the seventh lens 307 can be the smallest. Among the separated lens gaps, the difference between the largest and smallest center gaps can be 2.5 mm or more, for example, 2.6 mm to 3 mm.
[0397] The center gap between each lens can satisfy the following conditions.
[0398] Condition 1: CG1 > CG2 > CG4 = CG6
[0399] When describing the effective diameter, the lens with the largest effective diameter can be the fourth lens 304. In this paper, the effective diameter is the average of the effective diameters of the object-side surface and the sensor-side surface of each lens. The lens surface with the largest effective diameter can be the seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 304. The lens with the smallest effective diameter can be the third lens 303. The lens surface with the smallest effective diameter can be the sixth surface S6 of the third lens 303.
[0400] The average effective diameter of the first to seventh lenses 301-307 can be smaller than the diagonal length of the image sensor 700. Therefore, light incident through the multiple lenses arranged along the optical axis can be guided to the image sensor 700.
[0401] The effective diameter of each lens can satisfy any one of the following conditions.

[0447] Figure 19 and Figure 21 It is shown Figure 15 and Figure 16 A graph showing the aberration characteristics at the wide-angle and telephoto ends of an optical system. Figure 19 and Figure 21 In the aberration diagram, spherical aberration (longitudinal spherical aberration), astigmatism curve, and distortion are measured from left to right. Figure 19 and Figure 21 In the graph, the X-axis represents focal length (mm) and distortion percentage (%), while the Y-axis represents image height. Furthermore, the spherical aberration graph is plotted for light with wavelengths of approximately 435 nm, 486 nm, 546 nm, 587 nm, and 656 nm, while the astigmatism and distortion graph is plotted for light with a wavelength of approximately 546 nm. [0449] [Mathematical Expression 1]
[0450] 0.5 <f_tele / f_wide<1
[0451] Mathematical expression 1 establishes the relationship between the total focal length (f_tele) of optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 at the telephoto end (tele) and the total focal length (f_wide) of optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 at the wide-angle end (wide). f_tele / f_wide can be referred to as the zoom ratio or zoom magnification of the zoom lens optical system. Mathematical expression 1 defines the conditions that limit the zoom optical performance.
[0452] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 1 is exceeded, optical performance becomes difficult to ensure due to chromatic aberration at the telephoto end, and the movement of each lens group increases significantly during zooming, making mechanical miniaturization difficult. In the first to third embodiments, mathematical expression 25 can preferably satisfy 0.7. <CA_min / ImgH<0.9。
[0532] [Mathematical Expression 26]
[0533] G1_LjR2>0
[0534] G2_LiR1>0, G2_LiR2<0
[0535] Mathematical expression 26 can define the relationship between the sign of the radius of curvature (G2_Lj) of the lens positioned closest to the sensor side among all lenses included in the first lens group G1 and the sign of the radius of curvature (G2_Li) of the lens positioned closest to the object side among all lenses included in the second lens group G2. The first lens group G1 corresponds to the fixed group during zoom operation, and the sensor side of the lens positioned closest to the sensor side in the first lens group G1 is concave and can be used as a lens with negative (-) refractive power to diverge light. The second lens group G2 corresponds to the moving group during zoom operation, and the lens positioned closest to the object side in the second lens group G2 is biconvex and can be used as a lens with positive (+) refractive power to converge light. That is, the third lenses 103, 203, and 303 and the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304, which are arranged adjacent to each other, diverge and converge light sequentially, thereby ensuring the variable zoom magnification performance of the zoom optical system.
[0536] [Mathematical Expression 27]
[0537] 25<|v3-v4|<35
[0538] Mathematical expression 27 can set the relationship between the Abbe numbers of the third lenses 103, 203, and 303 and the Abbe numbers of the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304. The third lenses 103, 203, and 303 are positioned on the object side closest to the stop, and the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304 are positioned on the sensor side closest to the stop. Since the lens closest to the stop is the sensitive lens affecting the entire optical system, placing the lens with the larger Abbe number difference closest to the stop can reduce the generation of chromatic aberration noise. The Abbe number of any one of the third lenses 103, 203, and 303 or the fourth lenses 104, 204, and 304 can satisfy 50 or higher. In the first to third embodiments, mathematical expression 27 preferably satisfies 28. <CA_min / ImgH<32。
[0539] [Mathematical Expression 28]
[0540] 0.3 <f_wide / TTL<0.7
[0541] Mathematical expression 28 represents the total effective focal length of optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 at the wide-angle end, and TTL is the distance along the optical axis OA from the vertex of the first surface S1 of the first lens to the image surface of the image sensor 700. When mathematical expression 28 is satisfied, optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 can have narrow-angle optical characteristics suitable for the size of the moving image sensor 700. In the first to third embodiments, mathematical expression 28 can preferably satisfy 0.3. <f_wide / TTL<0.6。
[0542] [Mathematical Expression 29]
[0543] 0.5 <f_tele / TTL<1
[0544] Mathematical expression 29 represents f_tele as the total effective focal length (tele) of optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 at the telephoto end, and TTL as the distance along the optical axis OA from the vertex of the first surface S1 of the first lens to the top surface of the image sensor 700. When mathematical expression 29 is satisfied, optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 can have narrow-angle optical characteristics suitable for the size of the moving image sensor 700. In the first to third embodiments, mathematical expression 29 can preferably satisfy 2.5. <f_tele / TTL<2.8。
[0545] [Mathematical Expression 30]
[0546] In mathematical expression 30, Z can represent the sag, which is the distance from any position on the aspherical surface to the vertex of the aspherical surface along the optical axis. Y can represent the distance from any position on the aspherical surface to the optical axis in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis. c can represent the curvature of the lens, and K can represent the quadratic constant. In addition, A, B, C, D, E, and F can represent aspherical constants.
[0547] The optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 according to the first to third embodiments can satisfy at least one or two or more mathematical expressions from mathematical expression 1 to mathematical expression 30. In this case, the optical characteristics of the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 can be improved. Specifically, when the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 satisfy at least one or two or more mathematical expressions from mathematical expression 1 to mathematical expression 30, the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 can have improved resolution and improved aberration and distortion characteristics. Furthermore, the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 can ensure that the back focal length (BFL) used for applying the image sensor 700 compensates for the deterioration of optical characteristics due to temperature changes and minimizes the gap between the last lens and the image sensor 700, thereby providing good optical performance in the central and peripheral portions of the field of view (FOV).
[0548] Table 10
[0549] Table 10 shows the resulting values of mathematical expressions 1-29 in the optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 of the embodiments. Referring to Table 10, it can be seen that optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 satisfy at least one, two or more, or three or more of mathematical expressions 1-29. Specifically, it can be seen that optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 according to this embodiment satisfy all of mathematical expressions 1-29. Therefore, optical systems 1000, 1100, and 1200 can have good optical performance in the central and peripheral portions of the field of view (FOV) and can have excellent optical characteristics.
[0550] The optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 according to the fourth to sixth embodiments may include multiple lens groups. Specifically, the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 may include multiple lens groups, each lens group including at least one lens. For example, the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 may include a first lens group G1, a second lens group G2, a third lens group G3, and an image sensor 700 arranged sequentially from the object side toward the sensor along the optical axis OA.
[0551] The first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can each have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power. Specifically, the refractive power of the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be opposite. For example, the first lens group G1 can have negative (-) refractive power, and the second lens group G2 can have positive (+) refractive power. Furthermore, the refractive powers of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G4 can be opposite. For example, the second lens group G3 can have positive (+) refractive power, and the third lens group G4 can have negative (-) refractive power.
[0552] The focal lengths of the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be different.
[0553] The first to third lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can all be configured to be movable along the optical axis OA. Specifically, at least two of the multiple lens groups G1, G2, and G3 can be configured to be movable, while the remaining lens groups can be fixed. For example, the first lens group G1 can be set in a fixed position, and the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be configured to be movable along the optical axis OA.
[0554] The first lens group G1 may include multiple lenses. Specifically, the first lens group G1 may include one or more lenses with opposite refractive powers. For example, the first lens group G1 may include two lenses.
[0555] The multiple lenses included in the first lens group G1 may have a predetermined gap. Specifically, while maintaining the operating mode described later, the gap between the multiple lenses included in the first lens group G1 may be constant. For example, while maintaining the operating mode described later, the gap between the first lenses 401, 501, and 601 and the second lenses 402, 502, and 602 may be constant. In this document, the gap between multiple lenses may refer to the optical axis directional gap between adjacent lenses on the optical axis.
[0556] The second lens group G2 may include multiple lenses. Specifically, the second lens group G2 may include two or more lenses with opposite refractive powers. The second lens group G2 may include fewer lenses than the first lens group G1. For example, the second lens group G2 may include two lenses.
[0557] The multiple lenses included in the second lens group G2 may have a set gap. Specifically, the gap between the multiple lenses included in the second lens group G2 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later. For example, the gap between the third lenses 403, 503, and 603 and the fourth lenses 404, 504, and 604 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later.
[0558] The third lens group G3 may include multiple lenses. Specifically, the third lens group G3 may include two or more lenses with opposite refractive powers. The number of lenses included in the third lens group G3 may be less than the number of lenses included in the first lens group G1. For example, the third lens group G3 may include two lenses.
[0559] The multiple lenses included in the third lens group G3 may have a set gap. Specifically, the gap between the multiple lenses included in the third lens group G3 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later. For example, the gap between the fifth lenses 405, 505, and 605 and the sixth lenses 406, 506, and 606 may be constant and remain unchanged in the operating modes described later.
[0560] In other words, optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 may include multiple lens groups G1, G2, and G3 arranged sequentially from the object side towards the sensor, as well as the image sensor 700. Furthermore, optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 may include multiple lenses included in lens groups G1, G2, and G3, such as first lenses 401, 501, and 601, second lenses 402, 502, and 602, third lenses 403, 503, and 603, fourth lenses 404, 504, and 604, fifth lenses 405, 505, and 605, and sixth lenses 406, 506, and 606. In this case, the first lens group G1 may include first and second lenses 401 and 402, 501 and 502, and 601 and 602, and the second lens group G2 may include third and fourth lenses 403 and 404, 503 and 504, and 603 and 604. Furthermore, the third lens group G3 may include fifth and sixth lenses 405 and 406, 505 and 506, and 605 and 606. The first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606, as well as the image sensor 700, may be arranged sequentially along the optical axes OA of the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500.
[0561] Each of the multiple lenses 100 may include an effective region and an ineffective region. The effective region may be the area through which light incident on each of the first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606 passes. In other words, the effective region may be the area through which incident light is refracted to achieve optical properties.
[0562] Ineffective regions can be arranged around effective regions. Ineffective regions can refer to areas where light cannot enter, i.e., areas unrelated to optical properties. In addition, ineffective regions can also refer to areas fixed to components such as the housing of the lens (not shown).
[0563] Figure 55 This is a diagram illustrating a lens employing D-shaped cutting technology according to this embodiment. (See reference) Figure 55 The lens may include an effective diameter and an edge support portion disposed around the effective diameter. Figure 55 (a) shows a lens without the application of D-cutting technology. (e.g.) Figure 55 As shown in (a), when the D-shaped cutting technique is not applied, neither the effective diameter area of the lens nor the edge support portion is cut. Figure 55 (b) shows a lens that utilizes a D-shaped cutting technique. For example... Figure 55 As shown in (b), when the D-shaped cutting technique is applied, a portion of the edge support of the lens can be cut. Figure 55 (c) shows the application of a different method Figure 55 (b) Lenses using the D-shaped cutting technique. For example... Figure 55As shown in (c), when the D-shaped cutting technique is applied, a portion of the edge support and a portion of the effective diameter of the lens can be cut.
[0564] When applying D-cutting technology, the height of the entire optical system can be reduced by cutting a portion of the effective diameter area or edge support of the lens. In this document, the height of the entire optical system may refer to its length perpendicular to the optical axis, rather than TTL. In the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 according to the fourth to sixth embodiments, at least one of the first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606 can be subjected to D-cutting technology.
[0565] Image sensor 700 can detect light. Image sensor 700 can detect light that has passed sequentially through multiple lenses (e.g., first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606). Image sensor 700 may include a CCD (charge-connected device) or a CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor).
[0566] Furthermore, optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 may also include a filter 800.
[0567] The filter 800 may include at least one optical filter, such as an infrared filter or a protective glass.
[0568] Optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 may include apertures (not shown). These apertures can control the amount of light incident on optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500.
[0569] An aperture stop can be positioned in front of the first lenses 401, 501, and 601, or between two lenses selected from the first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606. For example, an aperture stop can be positioned between the third lenses 403, 503, and 603 and the fourth lenses 404, 504, and 604. Furthermore, at least one lens among the first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606 can function as an aperture stop. For example, the object-side surface or sensor-side surface of one lens selected from the first to sixth lenses 401-406, 501-506, and 601-606 can function as an aperture stop for controlling the amount of light. For example, at least one lens surface among the sensor-side surface S6 (sixth surface) of the third lenses 403, 503, and 603 and the object-side surface S7 (seventh surface) of the fourth lenses 404, 504, and 604 can function as an aperture stop.
[0570] An optical system according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0572] Reference Figure 22The optical system 1300 includes a lens unit, which may include a first lens 401 to a sixth lens 406. The first to sixth lenses 401-406 may be arranged sequentially along the optical axis OA of the optical system 1300. Light corresponding to information about an object may pass through the first to sixth lenses 401-406 and the filter 800 and be incident on the image sensor 700.
[0573] The first lens 401 can be positioned closest to the object side. The first lens 401 can also be positioned furthest from the sensor side. The first lens 401 can have positive refractive power along the optical axis OA. The first lens 401 can comprise a plastic or glass material, and can be, for example, a plastic material.
[0574] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side first surface S1 of the first lens 401 can be convex, and the sensor-side second surface S2 can be convex. The first lens 401 can be convex on both sides. The first lens 401 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the first surface S1 and the second surface S2 can be... Figure 25 The L1S1 and L1S2 settings.
[0575] The refractive index (n1) of the first lens 401 can satisfy the condition that n1 > 1.5, preferably n1 > 1.55. If the refractive index (n1) of the first lens 401 is less than this condition, then in order to increase the refractive power of the first and second lenses 401 and 402, the lens surface must be formed with an extremely deep concave or convex shape. In this case, lens manufacturing is not easy, the defect rate of the lens will increase, and it may lead to a decrease in the yield.
[0576] The second lens 402 can be positioned at the second location from the object side. The second lens 402 can be positioned at the sixth location from the sensor side. The second lens 402 can be positioned between the first lens 401 and the third lens 403. The second lens 402 can have a negative (-) refractive power along the optical axis OA. The second lens 402 can have a different refractive power along the optical axis OA than the first lens 401. The second lens 402 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the second lens 402 can be made of a plastic material.
[0577] Relative to the optical axis OA, the third surface S3 of the second lens 402 on the object side can be concave, and the fourth surface S4 on the sensor side can be concave. The second lens 402 can be concave on both surfaces. The second lens 402 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the third surface S3 and the fourth surface S4 can be... Figure 25 The L2S1 and L2S2 settings.
[0578] The third lens 403 can be positioned at the third location from the object side. The third lens 403 can be positioned at the fourth location from the sensor side. The third lens 403 can be positioned between the second lens 402 and the fourth lens 404. The third lens 403 can have positive (+) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The third lens 403 can comprise a plastic material or a glass material. For example, the third lens 403 can be made of glass.
[0579] The object-side fifth surface S5 of the third lens 403 can be convex relative to the optical axis, and the sensor-side sixth surface S6 can also be convex. Both sides of the third lens 403 can be convex relative to the optical axis OA. The third lens 403 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the fifth surface S5 and the sixth surface S6 can be... Figure 25 The L3S1 and L3S2 settings.
[0580] A stop can be positioned around the periphery of the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side of the third lens 403. A stop can also be positioned around the seventh surface S7 on the object side of the fourth lens 403. This stop reduces the TTL within the field of view, enabling miniaturization of the optical system. Therefore, yield degradation due to weight issues can be prevented, and production efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, miniaturization of the optical system is possible by reducing the TTL within the horizontal field of view (FOV_D) range of 20-35 degrees.
[0581] The fourth lens 404 can be positioned at the fourth location from the object side. The fourth lens 404 can also be positioned at the third location from the sensor side. The fourth lens 404 can be positioned between the third lens 403 and the fifth lens 405. The fourth lens 404 can have negative (-) refractive power. The fourth lens 404 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the fourth lens 404 can be made of plastic.
[0582] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 404 can be concave, and the sensor-side eighth surface S8 can be convex. The fourth lens 404 can be shaped like a meniscus, making the sensor side convex. The fourth lens 404 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the seventh and eighth surfaces S7 and S8 can be... Figure 25 The L4S1 and L4S2 settings.
[0583] The fifth lens 405 can be configured as the fifth lens from the object side. The fifth lens 405 can also be configured as the second lens from the sensor side. The fifth lens 405 can be positioned between the fourth lens 404 and the sixth lens 406. The fifth lens 405 can have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The fifth lens 405 can have positive (+) refractive power. The fifth lens 405 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fifth lens 405 can be made of a plastic material.
[0584] Relative to the optical axis OA, the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 405 on the object side can be concave, and the tenth surface S10 on the sensor side can be convex. The fifth lens 405 can be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The fifth lens 405 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the ninth and tenth surfaces S9 and S10 can be... Figure 25 The L5S1 and L5S2 settings.
[0585] The sixth lens 406 can be positioned closest to the sensor side. The sixth lens 406 can also be positioned furthest from the object side. The sixth lens 406 can have negative (-) refractive power. The sixth lens 406 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the sixth lens 406 can be made of plastic.
[0586] Relative to the optical axis OA, the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 406 on the object side can be convex, and the twelfth surface S12 on the sensor side can be concave. The sixth lens 406 can be a meniscus convex on the object side. At least one or both of the eleventh surface S11 and the twelfth surface S12 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the eleventh and twelfth surfaces S11 and S12 can be... Figure 25 The L6S1 and L6S2 settings.

In this document, the first mode may refer to the wide-angle end, the second mode may refer to the middle telephoto end, and the third mode may refer to the telephoto end. The wide-angle end may be referred to as wide-angle, and the telephoto end may be referred to as telephoto.
[0591] In the optical system according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention, the distance between adjacent lens groups can change during the process of changing the zoom magnification from the first mode to the third mode. The first lens group G1 is fixed, and only the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can move. The first lens group G1 can be a fixed group, and the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be movable groups.
[0592] When switching from the first mode to the second mode, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be reduced, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be reduced, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 can be increased.
[0593] When switching from the second mode to the third mode, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be reduced, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be increased, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 can be increased.
[0594] When switching from the first mode to the third mode, the distance D1 between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 can be reduced, the distance D2 between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be reduced, and the distance D3 between the third lens group G3 and the filter 800 can be increased.
[0595] The travel length of the second lens group G2 can be 4 mm-4.5 mm, and preferably about 4.045 mm. The travel length of the third lens group G3 can be 4.5 mm-5 mm, and preferably about 4.8 mm. The moving speeds of the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 can be different. The moving speed of the third lens group G3 can be greater than the moving speed of the second lens group G2.
[0596] By moving the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3, the zoom ratio of the zoom optical system can be continuously adjusted from approximately 3x to approximately 7x. In this document, zoom ratio can refer to the ratio of the focal length of the optical system in this embodiment within the mobile terminal to the focal length corresponding to the center thickness of the reference optical system. In the fourth embodiment, the zoom ratio at the wide-angle and telephoto ends can satisfy a range of 1.5x to 2x, and can satisfy a zoom ratio of approximately 1.8x.

BFL (back focal length) is the optical axis distance from the image sensor 700 to the center of the last lens. TTL is the optical axis distance from the center of the first surface S1 of the first lens 401 to the upper surface of the image sensor 700.
[0600] When comparing the absolute values of the radii of curvature of each lens, the radius of curvature of the second surface S2 of the first lens 401 on the optical axis OA can be the largest among all lenses, and the radius of curvature of the twelfth surface S12 of the sixth lens 406 can be the smallest among all lenses. The difference between the maximum and minimum radii of curvature can be 5 times or more, for example, 6 to 7 times. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 401 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the second surface S2. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the third surface S3 of the second lens 402 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourth surface S4. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 403 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6. [0602] Condition 1: 0.5 < |L1R1 / L1R2| < 1
[0603] Condition 2: 1 < |L2R1 / L2R2| < 1.3
[0604] Condition 3: 0.5 < |L3R1 / L3R2| < 1
[0605] Condition 4: 0.1 < |L4R1 / L4R2| < 0.5
[0606] Condition 5: 0.5 < |L5R1 / L5R2| < 1
[0607] Condition 6: 1.3 <L6R1 / L6R2<1.7
[0608] When describing the center thickness of a lens based on its optical axis, the center thickness CT4 of the fourth lens 404 or the center thickness CT5 of the fifth lens 405 is the largest among all lenses, while the center thickness (CT2) of the second lens 402 is the smallest. The difference between the maximum and minimum center thickness among all lenses can be 2 mm to 3 mm.
[0609] The center thickness of each lens can satisfy any one of the following conditions.
[0610] Condition 1: CT3, CT4, CT5, CT6 > CT1 > CT2

Among the constant center gaps between the lenses, the center gap CG1 between the first lens 401 and the second lens 402 can be the largest, and the center gap CG3 between the third lens 403 and the fourth lens 404 can be the smallest. Among the separated lens gaps, the difference between the largest and smallest center gaps can be 5.5 mm or more, for example, 5.8 mm to 6.5 mm.

[0618] refer to Figure 56 Optical components 71 and 72 can be the center thickness of one surface of the first to sixth lenses 401-406. For example, since the gap between the first lens 401 and the second lens 402 is largest in the optical axis direction, the first optical component 71 can be disposed in an ineffective area of one surface of the lens to prevent glare caused by diffuse reflection. The first optical component 71 can be a light-shielding film. A second optical component 72 can be provided to connect the first lens 401 and the second lens 402. The second optical component 72 can be an injection-molded part. A pattern can be formed on one surface of the second optical component 72 along the optical axis direction. The pattern formed on one side of the second optical component 72 can prevent reflected light from entering the image sensor 700.
[0619] When describing the effective diameter, the lens with the largest effective diameter can be the first lens 401. In this document, the effective diameter is the average of the effective diameters of the object-side surface and the sensor-side surface of each lens. The lens surface with the largest effective diameter can be the first surface S1 of the first lens 401. The lens with the smallest effective diameter can be the second lens 402. The average effective diameter of the second to sixth lenses 402-406 can be less than the diagonal length of the image sensor 700. Therefore, light incident through the multiple lenses arranged along the optical axis can be guided to the image sensor 700.

[0624] Condition 3: CA_L1>CA_L3>CA_L2, CA_L4, CA_L5, CA_L6
[0625] Condition 4: CA_L1, CA_L3, CA_L5, CA_L6>CA_L4>CA_L2

[0661] Figure 26 , Figure 28 and Figure 30 It is shown in Figure 22 The graphs show the diffraction MTF (modulation transfer function) curves at the wide, mid, and telephoto ends of the optical system, and also show the brightness ratio (modulation) according to the spatial frequency. Figure 26 , Figure 28 and Figure 30 As shown, in the fourth embodiment of the present invention, at low or high temperatures, the deviation of MTF relative to the mid-coke end can be less than 10%, that is, 7% or less.
[0662] Figure 27 , Figure 28 and Figure 29 It is shown Figure 22 The graphs show the aberration characteristics of the optical system at the wide, mid, and telephoto ends. Figure 27 , Figure 28 and Figure 29 The aberration diagrams in the image, from left to right, measure longitudinal spherical aberration, astigmatism curves, and distortion. Figure 27 , Figure 28 and Figure 29 In the image, the X-axis represents focal length (mm) and distortion (%), while the Y-axis represents image height. Furthermore, the spherical aberration map is for light with wavelengths of approximately 435 nm, 486 nm, 546 nm, 587 nm, and 656 nm, while the scattering curve and distortion map are for light with a wavelength of approximately 546 nm. Figure 27 , Figure 28 and Figure 29 In the aberration diagram, it can be understood that at the wide, mid, and telephoto ends, the closer each curve is to the Y-axis, the better the aberration correction function. [0665] Reference Figures 33-14 The optical system 1400 includes a lens unit, which may include a first lens 501 to a sixth lens 506. The first to sixth lenses 501-506 may be arranged sequentially along the optical axis OA of the optical system 1400. Light corresponding to information about an object may pass through the first to sixth lenses 501-506 and the filter 800 and be incident on the image sensor 700.
[0666] The first lens 501 can be positioned closest to the object side. The first lens 501 can also be positioned furthest from the sensor side. The first lens 501 can have positive (+) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The first lens 501 can comprise plastic or glass material, and can be, for example, plastic material.
[0667] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side first surface S1 of the first lens 501 can be convex, and the sensor-side second surface S2 can be convex. The first lens 501 can be convex on both sides. The first lens 501 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the first surface S1 and the second surface S2 can be... Figure 36 The L1S1 and L1S2 settings.
[0668] The refractive index n1 of the first lens 501 can satisfy the condition n1>1.55, preferably n1>1.6. If the refractive index (n1) of the first lens 501 is less than this condition, then in order to increase the refractive power of the first and second lenses 501 and 502, the lens surface must be formed with an extremely deep concave or convex shape. In this case, lens manufacturing is not easy, the defect rate of the lens will increase, and it may lead to a decrease in the yield.
[0669] The second lens 502 can be positioned at the second location from the object side. The second lens 502 can be positioned at the fifth location from the sensor side. The second lens 502 can be positioned between the first lens 501 and the third lens 503. The second lens 502 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The second lens 502 can have a different refractive power on the optical axis OA than the first lens 501. The second lens 502 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the second lens 502 can be made of a plastic material.
[0670] Relative to the optical axis OA, the object-side third surface S3 of the second lens 502 is concave, and the sensor-side fourth surface S4 can also be concave. The second lens 502 can be concave on both sides. The second lens 502 is made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the third surface S3 and the fourth surface S4 can be... Figure 36 The L2S1 and L2S2 modes are set.
[0671] The third lens 503 can be positioned at the third location from the object side. The third lens 503 can be positioned at the fourth location from the sensor side. The third lens 503 can be positioned between the second lens 502 and the fourth lens 504. The third lens 503 can have positive (+) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The third lens 503 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the third lens 503 can be made of a plastic material.
[0672] The object-side fifth surface S5 of the third lens 503 can be convex relative to the optical axis, and the sensor-side sixth surface S6 can also be convex. Both sides of the third lens 503 can be convex relative to the optical axis OA. The third lens 503 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the fifth surface S5 and the sixth surface S6 can be... Figure 36 The L3S1 and L3S2 settings.
[0673] A stop (STOP) can be positioned around the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side of the third lens 503. A stop (STOP) can also be positioned around the seventh surface S7 on the object side of the fourth lens 503. This stop reduces the TTL within the field of view, enabling miniaturization of the optical system. Therefore, yield degradation due to weight issues can be prevented, and production efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, miniaturization of the optical system is possible by reducing the TTL within the horizontal field of view (FOV_H) range of 20-35 degrees.
[0674] The fourth lens 504 can be positioned at the fourth location from the object side. The fourth lens 504 can be positioned at the third location from the sensor side. The fourth lens 504 can be positioned between the third lens 503 and the fifth lens 505. The fourth lens 504 can have negative (-) refractive power. The fourth lens 504 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fourth lens 504 can be made of a plastic material.
[0675] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 504 can be concave, and the sensor-side eighth surface S8 can be convex. The fourth lens 504 can be shaped like a meniscus, making the sensor side convex. The fourth lens 504 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the seventh and eighth surfaces S7 and S8 can be... Figure 36 The L4S1 and L4S2 settings.
[0676] The fifth lens 505 can be configured as the fifth lens from the object side. The fifth lens 505 can also be configured as the second lens from the sensor side. The fifth lens 505 can be positioned between the fourth lens 504 and the sixth lens 506. The fifth lens 505 can have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The fifth lens 505 can have positive (+) refractive power. The fifth lens 505 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fifth lens 505 can be made of a plastic material.
[0677] Relative to the optical axis OA, the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 505 on the object side can be concave, and the tenth surface S10 on the sensor side can be convex. The fifth lens 505 can be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The fifth lens 505 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the ninth and tenth surfaces S9 and S10 can be... Figure 36 The L5S1 and L5S2 settings.
[0678] The sixth lens 506 can be positioned closest to the sensor side. The sixth lens 506 can also be positioned furthest from the object side. The sixth lens 506 can have negative (-) refractive power. The sixth lens 506 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the sixth lens 506 can be made of plastic.
[0679] The eleventh surface S11 on the object side of the sixth lens 506 may be convex relative to the optical axis OA, and the twelfth surface S12 on the sensor side may be concave. The sixth lens 506 may be a meniscus convex on the object side. At least one or both of the eleventh surface S11 and the twelfth surface S12 may be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the eleventh and twelfth surfaces S11 and S12 may be... Figure 36 The L6S1 and L6S2 settings.

[0691] Table 16 shows the parameters of the above mathematical expressions in the optical system 1400 of the fourth embodiment, as well as the effective focal length (F) (mm), BFL (back focal length) (mm), EPD (mm), SD (mm), Fno, FOV (degrees) (i.e., the optical axis distance from the stop to the twelfth surface S12) at the wide-angle end and telephoto end of the optical system 1400, the focal length (f1-f6) (mm) and edge thickness (ET1-ET6) of the first to sixth lenses 501-506, the focal length (f_G1, f_G2 and f_G3) (mm) of the first to third lens groups G1, G2 and G3, the stroke length (G2_stroke) of the second lens group G2, the stroke length (G3_stroke) of the third lens group G3, and the optical system 1400. These parameters correspond to: total optical axis distance TTL (mm), ImgH (mm), maximum effective diameter (CA_Max), minimum effective diameter (CA_Min), average effective diameter (CA_Aver), maximum center thickness (L_CT_max), minimum center thickness (L_CT_min), average center thickness (L_CT_aver) among the first to sixth lenses 501-506, and the maximum value among the gaps between adjacent lenses (Air_max).
[0692] The center thickness of the first to sixth lenses 501-506 is represented by CT1-CT6, the edge thickness at both ends of the effective area of each lens is represented by ET1-ET7, the center gap between two adjacent lenses is represented by CG1-CG6, and the edge gap between the edges of each lens is represented by EG1-EG6. BFL (back focal length) is the optical axis distance from the image sensor 700 to the center of the last lens. TTL is the optical axis distance from the center of the first surface S1 of the first lens 501 to the upper surface of the image sensor 700.
[0693] When comparing the absolute values of the radii of curvature of each lens, the radius of curvature of the second surface S2 of the first lens 501 on the optical axis OA can be the largest among all lenses, and the radius of curvature of the twelfth surface S12 of the sixth lens 506 can be the smallest among all lenses. The difference between the maximum and minimum radii of curvature can be 5 times or more, for example, 6 to 7 times. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 501 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the second surface S2. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the third surface S3 of the second lens 502 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fourth surface S4. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the fifth surface S5 of the third lens 503 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the sixth surface S6. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 504 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the eighth surface S8. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the ninth surface S9 of the fifth lens 505 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the tenth surface S10. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 506 can be greater than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the twelfth surface S12.

[0695] Condition 1: 0.5 < |L1R1 / L1R2| < 1
[0696] Condition 2: 2 < |L2R1 / L2R2| < 3
[0697] Condition 3: 0.5 < |L3R1 / L3R2| < 1
[0698] Condition 4: 0.1 < |L4R1 / L4R2| < 0.5
[0699] Condition 5: 0.8 < |L5R1 / L5R2| < 1.2
[0700] Condition 6: 1.3 <L6R1 / L6R2<1.7
[0701] When describing the center thickness of a lens relative to the optical axis, the center thickness CT4 of the fourth lens 504 or the center thickness CT5 of the fifth lens 505 is the largest among all lenses, and the center thickness CT2 of the second lens 502 is the smallest among all lenses. [0708] When zooming, the gaps CG1 between the first lens 501 and the second lens 502, CG3 between the third lens 503 and the fourth lens 504, and CG5 between the fifth lens 505 and the sixth lens 506 remain constant, while the gaps CG2 between the second lens 502 and the third lens 503, and CG4 between the fourth lens 504 and the fifth lens can vary. Among the constant center gaps between the lenses, the center gap CG1 between the first lens 501 and the second lens 502 can be the largest, and the center gap CG5 between the fifth lens 505 and the sixth lens 506 can be the smallest. Among the separated lens gaps, the difference between the largest and smallest center gaps can be 5.5 mm or more, for example, 5.8 mm to 6.5 mm.

[0711] Reference Figure 56 Optical components 71 and 72 can be disposed on one surface of the first to sixth lenses 501-506. For example, since the gap between the first lens 501 and the second lens 502 is largest in the optical axis direction, the first optical component 71 can be disposed in an ineffective area of one surface of the lens to prevent glare caused by diffuse reflection. The first optical component 71 can be a light-shielding film. A second optical component 72 can be disposed to connect the first lens 501 and the second lens 502. The second optical component 72 can be an injection-molded part. A pattern can be formed on one surface of the second optical component 72 in the optical axis direction. The pattern formed on one surface of the second optical component 72 can prevent diffusely reflected light from entering the image sensor 700.
[0712] When describing the effective diameter, the lens with the largest effective diameter can be the first lens 501. In this document, the effective diameter is the average of the effective diameters of the object-side surface and the sensor-side surface of each lens. The lens surface with the largest effective diameter can be the first surface S1 of the first lens 501. The lens with the smallest effective diameter can be the second lens 502. [0713] The effective diameter (CA_L1) of the first lens 501 can be greater than the diagonal length of the image sensor 700. The average effective diameter of the second to sixth lenses 502-506 can be less than the diagonal length of the image sensor 700. Therefore, light incident through the multiple lenses arranged along the optical axis can be guided to the image sensor 700.

[0754] Figure 38 , Figure 40 and Figure 42 It is shown Figures 33-35 The graphs show the aberration characteristics at the wide-angle, mid-focal, and telephoto ends of the optical system. Figure 38 , Figure 40 and Figure 42 In the aberration diagram, spherical aberration (longitudinal spherical aberration), astigmatism curve, and distortion are measured from left to right. Figure 38 , 40 In Figure 42, the X-axis represents focal length (mm) and distortion (%), and the Y-axis represents image height. [0757] Reference Figures 44-25 The optical system 1500 includes a lens unit, which may include a first lens 601 to a sixth lens 606. The first to sixth lenses 601-606 may be arranged sequentially along the optical axis OA of the optical system 1500. Light corresponding to information about an object may pass through the first to sixth lenses 601-606 and the filter 800 and be incident on the image sensor 700.
[0758] The first lens 601 can be positioned closest to the object side. The first lens 601 can also be positioned furthest from the sensor side. The first lens 601 can have positive (+) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The first lens 601 can comprise a plastic or glass material, and can be, for example, a plastic material.
[0759] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side first surface S1 of the first lens 601 can be convex, and the sensor-side second surface S2 can be convex. The first lens 601 can be convex on both sides. The first lens 601 can be made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the first surface S1 and the second surface S2 can be... Figure 47 The L1S1 and L1S2 settings.
[0760] The refractive index n1 of the first lens 601 can satisfy the condition n1>1.5, preferably n1>1.55. If the refractive index (n1) of the first lens 601 is less than this condition, then in order to increase the refractive power of the first and second lenses 601 and 602, the lens surface must be formed with an extremely deep concave or convex shape. In this case, lens manufacturing is not easy, the defect rate of the lens will increase, and it may lead to a decrease in the yield.
[0761] The second lens 602 can be positioned at the second location from the object side. The second lens 602 can be positioned at the fifth location from the sensor side. The second lens 602 can be positioned between the first lens 601 and the third lens 603. The second lens 602 can have a negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The second lens 602 can have a different refractive power on the optical axis OA than the first lens 601. The second lens 602 can comprise a plastic or glass material. The second lens 602 can be concave on both sides. The second lens 602 is made of plastic material and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the third surface S3 and the fourth surface S4 can be... Figure 47 The L2S1 and L2S2 modes are set.

The third lens 603 can be positioned between the second lens 602 and the fourth lens 604. The third lens 603 can have positive (+) refractive power on the optical axis OA. [0764] The object-side fifth surface S5 of the third lens 603 can be convex relative to the optical axis, and the sensor-side sixth surface S6 can also be convex. Both sides of the third lens 603 can be convex relative to the optical axis OA. The third lens 603 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspherical coefficients of the fifth surface S5 and the sixth surface S6 can be... Figure 47 The L3S1 and L3S2 settings.
[0765] A stop can be positioned around the sixth surface S6 on the sensor side of the third lens 603. A stop can also be positioned around the seventh surface S7 on the object side of the fourth lens 603.
[0766] The fourth lens 604 can be positioned at the fourth location from the object side. The fourth lens 604 can also be positioned at the third location from the sensor side. The fourth lens 604 can be positioned between the third lens 603 and the fifth lens 605. The fourth lens 604 can have negative (-) refractive power. The fourth lens 604 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fourth lens 604 can be made of a plastic material.
[0767] Relative to the optical axis, the object-side seventh surface S7 of the fourth lens 604 can be concave, and the sensor-side eighth surface S8 can be convex. The fourth lens 604 can be shaped like a meniscus, making the sensor side convex. The fourth lens 604 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the seventh and eighth surfaces S7 and S8 can be... Figure 47 The L4S1 and L4S2 settings.
[0768] The fifth lens 605 can be configured as the fifth lens from the object side. The fifth lens 605 can also be configured as the second lens from the sensor side. The fifth lens 605 can be positioned between the fourth lens 604 and the sixth lens 606. The fifth lens 605 can have positive (+) or negative (-) refractive power on the optical axis OA. The fifth lens 605 can have positive (+) refractive power. The fifth lens 605 can comprise a plastic or glass material. For example, the fifth lens 605 can be made of a plastic material.

The fifth lens 605 can be a meniscus convex towards the sensor side. The fifth lens 605 can be made of plastic and can have aspherical surfaces. The aspheric coefficients of the ninth and tenth surfaces S9 and S10 can be... Figure 47 The L5S1 and L5S2 settings.
[0770] The sixth lens 606 can be positioned closest to the sensor side. The sixth lens 606 can also be positioned furthest from the object side. The sixth lens 606 can have negative (-) refractive power. The sixth lens 606 can be made of plastic or glass. For example, the sixth lens 606 can be made of plastic.
[0771] Relative to the optical axis OA, the eleventh surface S11 of the sixth lens 606 on the object side can be convex, and the twelfth surface S12 on the sensor side can be concave. The sixth lens 606 can be a meniscus convex on the object side. At least one or both of the eleventh surface S11 and the twelfth surface S12 can be aspherical. The aspherical coefficients of the eleventh and twelfth surfaces S11 and S12 can be... Figure 47 The L6S1 and L6S2 settings.

The difference between the maximum and minimum radii of curvature can be 5 times or more, for example, 6 to 7 times. The absolute value of the radius of curvature of the first surface S1 of the first lens 601 can be smaller than the absolute value of the radius of curvature of the second surface S2. [0790] Condition 4: 0.1 < |L4R1 / L4R2| < 0.5
[0791] Condition 5: 0.5 < |L5R1 / L5R2| < 1
[0792] Condition 6: 1.3 <L6R1 / L6R2<1.7
[0793] When describing the center thickness of the lenses based on the optical axis, the center thickness CT4 of the fourth lens 604 or the center thickness CT5 of the fifth lens 605 is the largest among all lenses, and the center thickness CT2 of the second lens 602 is the smallest among all lenses. [0803] Reference Figure 56 Optical components 71 and 72 can be disposed on one surface of the first to sixth lenses 601-406. For example, since the gap between the first lens 601 and the second lens 602 is largest in the optical axis direction, the first optical component 71 can be disposed in an ineffective area of one surface of the lens to prevent glare caused by diffuse reflection. The first optical component 71 can be a light-shielding film. A second optical component 72 can be disposed to connect the first lens 601 and the second lens 602. The second optical component 72 can be an injection-molded part. A pattern can be formed on one surface of the second optical component 72 in the optical axis direction. The pattern formed on one surface of the second optical component 72 can prevent diffusely reflected light from entering the image sensor 700.
[0804] When describing the effective diameter, the lens with the largest effective diameter can be the first lens 601. [0846] Figure 48 , Figure 50 and Figure 52 It is shown in Figures 44-46 The graphs show the diffraction MTF (modulation transfer function) curves at the wide, mid, and telephoto ends of the optical system, and also show the brightness ratio (modulation) according to the spatial frequency. Figure 48 , Figure 50 and Figure 52 As shown, in the sixth embodiment of the present invention, the deviation of MTF at low or high temperature based on the mid-coke end can be less than 10%, that is, 7% or less.
[0847] Figure 49 , Figure 51 and Figure 53 It is shown Figures 44-46 The graphs show the aberration characteristics at the wide-angle, mid-focal, and telephoto ends of the optical system. Figure 49 , Figure 51 and Figure 53 In the aberration diagram, spherical aberration (longitudinal spherical aberration), astigmatism curve, and distortion are measured from left to right. Figure 49 , Figure 51 and Figure 53 In the graph, the X-axis represents focal length (mm) and distortion (%), while the Y-axis represents image height. Furthermore, the spherical aberration graph is for light with wavelengths of approximately 435 nm, 486 nm, 546 nm, 587 nm, and 656 nm, while the astigmatism and distortion graph is for light with a wavelength of approximately 546 nm. Figure 49 , Figure 51 and Figure 53 In the aberration diagram, the closer the curves at the wide, mid, and telephoto ends are to the Y-axis, the better the aberration correction function. It can be seen that the optical system 1500 according to the sixth embodiment has measurements close to the Y-axis in almost all regions. That is, the resolution of the optical system 1500 according to the sixth embodiment can be improved, and it can have good optical performance not only in the central part of the field of view (FOV) but also in the peripheral part.
[0848] The optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 according to the fourth to sixth embodiments disclosed above can satisfy at least one, two, or more of the following mathematical expressions. Therefore, the optical characteristics of the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 according to the fourth to sixth embodiments can be improved. For example, when the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 satisfy at least one mathematical expression, the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can effectively control aberration characteristics such as chromatic aberration and distortion aberration, and can have good optical performance not only at the center of the field of view (FOV) but also in the peripheral portion. Furthermore, the resolution of the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can be improved. Additionally, the lens thickness at the optical axis OA and the gap between adjacent lenses at the optical axis OA described in the mathematical expressions can be referenced to the fourth to sixth embodiments disclosed above.
[0849] [Mathematical Expression 31]
[0850] 1.5 <f_tele / f_wide<2
[0851] Mathematical expression 31 sets the relationship between the total focal length (f_tele) of the optical system 1300, 1400, and 1500 in the third mode (i.e., the telephoto end (tele)) and the total focal length (f_wide) of the optical system 1300, 1400, and 1500 in the first mode (i.e., the wide-angle end (wide)). f_tele / f_wide can be referred to as the zoom ratio or zoom magnification of the zoom lens optical system. Mathematical expression 31 is a condition used to limit the zoom optical performance.
[0852] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 31 is exceeded, optical performance becomes difficult to ensure due to chromatic aberration at the telephoto end, and the movement of each lens group increases significantly during zooming, making mechanical miniaturization difficult. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 31 is less than the upper limit of mathematical expression 31, performance as a zoom optical system becomes difficult to ensure. A zoom optical system that satisfies mathematical expression 31 can ensure practically useful optical performance. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 31 can preferably satisfy 1.7. <f_tele / f_wide<1.9。
[0853] [Mathematical Expression 32]
[0854] 0.1 < |f_G2 / f_G1| < 0.5
[0855] Mathematical expression 32 defines the relationship between the focal length (f_G1) of the first lens group G1 and the focal length (f_G2) of the second lens group G2. Mathematical expression 32 is a condition used to reduce aberrations and improve optical performance.
[0856] The first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2, satisfying mathematical expression 32, can appropriately correct astigmatism and coma. Furthermore, the zoom optical system has a zoom magnification of 3x to 7x and can reduce the overall length of the optical system. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 32 can preferably satisfy 0.3 < |f_G2 / f_G1| < 0.5.
[0857] [Mathematical Expression 33]
[0858] 1 < |f_G1 / f_wide| < 1.5
[0859] Mathematical expression 33 sets the relationship between the focal length (f_G1) of the first lens group G1 and the total focal length (f_wide) of the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 in the wide-angle end (i.e., the first mode). Mathematical expression 33 is a condition used to limit the magnitude of the refractive power of the first lens group G1.
[0860] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 33 is exceeded, the refractive power of the first lens group G1 will be too weak, making it difficult to ensure the back focal length and thus obtain a sharp image. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 33 is less than the lower limit, the refractive power of the first lens group G1 will be too strong, making it difficult to correct field curvature aberration at the wide-angle position, spherical aberration and coma at the telephoto position. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 33 can preferably satisfy 1.3 < |f_G1 / f_wide| < 1.5.
[0861] [Mathematical Expression 34]
[0862] 0.5 <f_G2 / f_wide<1

In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 34 may preferably satisfy 0.5. <f_G2 / f_wide<0.8。
[0865] [Mathematical Expression 35]
[0866] 2 < |f_G3 / f_wide| < 2.5
[0867] In mathematical expression 35, a relationship can be established between the focal length (f_G3) of the third lens group G3 and the total focal length (f_wide) of the optical system 1300, 1400, and 1500 in the first mode (i.e., the wide end). Mathematical expression 35 is a condition used to limit the magnitude of the refractive power of the third lens group G3.
[0868] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 35 is exceeded, the travel length of the third lens group G3 will increase during focusing, making it difficult to miniaturize the zoom lens. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 35 is less than the lower limit of mathematical expression 35, the refractive power of the third lens group G3 will be too strong, and the change in aberration will be greater when image plane correction is performed according to the object distance. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 35 can preferably satisfy 2 < |f_G3 / f_wide| < 2.4.

Mathematical expression 36 is a condition used to limit the magnitude of the refractive power of the first lens group G1.
[0872] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 36 is exceeded, the refractive power of the first lens group G1 will be too weak, making it difficult to ensure the back focal length and thus obtain a sharp image. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 36 is less than the lower limit of mathematical expression 36, the refractive power of the first lens group G1 will be too strong, making it difficult to correct field curvature aberration at wide-angle positions, spherical aberration and coma at telephoto positions. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 36 can preferably satisfy 0.5 < |f_G1 / f_tele| < 0.8.

Mathematical expression 38 is a condition used to limit the magnitude of the refractive power of the third lens group G3.
[0880] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 38 is exceeded, the travel length of the third lens group G3 increases during focusing, making it difficult to miniaturize the zoom lens. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 38 is less than the lower limit, the refractive power of the third lens group G3 is too strong, and the aberration changes are larger when image plane correction is performed according to the object distance. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 38 can preferably satisfy 1.1 < |f_G3 / f_tele| < 1.4.
[0881] [Mathematical Expression 39]
[0882] 4 <G2_stroke<4.5
[0883] Mathematical expression 39 can set the range of the stroke length (G2_stroke) of the second lens group G2. [0890] [Mathematical Expression 42]

[0895] In mathematical expression 43, BFL is the distance along the optical axis from the image sensor 700 to the center of the sensor side of the last lens. When mathematical expression 43 is satisfied, the installation space for the filter 800 and the protective glass 400 can be ensured, the assemblability of components can be improved through the gap between the image sensor 700 and the last lens, and the coupling reliability can be improved. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 43 may preferably satisfy 1 < BFL < 3.2. When BFL is less than the range of mathematical expression 43, some light traveling to the image sensor may not be transmitted to the image sensor, which may result in a reduction in resolution. [0899] [Mathematical expression 45]
[0900] 5 < FOV_tele < 20
[0901] In mathematical expression
[0904] In mathematical expression 46, CA_max represents the maximum effective diameter (mm) among the object-side and sensor-side surfaces of the multiple lenses, and TTL (total optical axis length) represents the distance (mm) along the optical axis OA from the vertex of the first surface S1 of the first lenses 401, 501, and 601 to the upper surface of the image sensor 700. Mathematical expression 46 sets the relationship between the total optical axis length and the maximum effective diameter of the optical system, thereby providing an improved vehicle optical system. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 46 can preferably satisfy 4 <TTL / CA_max<5。
[0905] [Mathematical Expression 47]
[0906] 3 <TTL / ImgH<5
[0907] Mathematical expression 47 indicates that TTL (Total Optical Length) represents the distance (mm) from the vertex of the first surface S1 of the first lens to the upper surface of the image sensor 700 along the optical axis OA, and ImgH represents the maximum diagonal length of the image sensor 700. When mathematical expression 47 is satisfied, optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can have a TTL applicable to the vehicle image sensor 700, thereby providing improved imaging quality. These optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can have improved aberration characteristics within the size of the vehicle image sensor 700. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 49 can preferably satisfy 3.5. <F_tele / ImgH<4。
[0914] [Mathematical Expressions 50]
[0915] 0.1 < ΣCT / TTL < 1
[0916] Mathematical expression 50 can set the relationship between the sum of the center thicknesses of the lenses (ΣCT) and the distance (TTL) along the optical axis OA from the vertex of the first surface S1 of the first lens to the upper surface of the image sensor 700. If the upper limit of mathematical expression 50 is exceeded, the number of lenses increases, and the movement of the moving lens group in the zoom optical system becomes unfavorable. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 51 can preferably satisfy 0.1 < ΣCG / TTL < 0.5.
[0920] [Mathematical Expression 52]
[0921] 1<ΣCT / ΣCG<2
[0922] Mathematical expression 52 can set the relationship between the sum of the center thicknesses of the lenses (ΣCT) and the sum of the gaps between adjacent lenses (ΣCT). If the upper limit of mathematical expression 52 is exceeded, the number of lenses increases, and the movement of the moving lens group in the zoom optical system becomes unfavorable. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 52 is exceeded, the magnification performance of the zoom lens optical system deteriorates. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 52 can preferably satisfy 1 < ΣCT / ΣCG < 1.8.
[0923] [Mathematical Expression 53]
[0924] 0.1 <CT2 / ET2<0.5
[0925] Mathematical expression 53 can set the relationship between the center thickness (CT2) and the edge thickness (ET2) of the second lenses 402, 502, and 602. The second lenses 402, 502, and 602 are the lenses closest to the sensor side in the first lens group G1, and can be concave on both sides, and can serve to diverge light incident from the object side in the opposite direction of the optical axis.
[0926] If the upper limit of mathematical expression 53 is exceeded, the center thickness of the second lenses 402, 502, and 602 will become thicker, and the light divergence performance will deteriorate. If the lower limit of mathematical expression 53 is exceeded, the edges of the second lenses 402, 502, and 602 will become too large, and the manufacturability of the lenses will deteriorate. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 53 can preferably satisfy 0.3. <CT2 / ET2<0.5。
[0927] [Mathematical Expression 54]

[0929] Mathematical expression 54 indicates that CA_max represents the maximum effective diameter of the object-side surface and the sensor-side surface of the lens, and CA_Min represents the minimum effective diameter of the object-side surface and the sensor-side surface of the lens. When mathematical expression 54 is satisfied, the optical system can be sized for a thin and compact structure while maintaining optical performance. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 54 can preferably satisfy 1. <CA_max / CA_min<1.5。
[0930] [Mathematical Expression 55]

[0935] In mathematical expression 56, CA_Min represents the minimum effective diameter of the object-side surface and sensor-side surface of the lens, and Imgh represents the maximum diagonal length of the image sensor 700. When mathematical expression 56 is satisfied, the optical system can maintain good optical performance and be sized for a thin and compact structure. In the fourth to sixth embodiments, mathematical expression 56 can preferably satisfy 0.5. <CA_min / ImgH<1。
[0936] [Mathematical Expression 57]
[0937] G1_LjR1<0,G1_LjR2>0
[0938] G2_LiR1>0, G2_LiR2<0
[0939] Mathematical expression 57 can establish a relationship between the sign of the radius of curvature (G1_Lj) of the lens closest to the sensor side among all lenses included in the first lens group G1 and the sign of the radius of curvature (G2_Li) of the lens closest to the object side among all lenses included in the second lens group G2. The first lens group G1 corresponds to the fixed group during zoom operation, and the lens closest to the sensor side in the first lens group G1 is biconcave and has negative (-) refractive power, which can be used for diverging light. The second lens group G2 corresponds to the moving group during zoom operation, and the lens in the second lens group G2 closest to the object side is biconvex and has positive (+) refractive power, which can be used for converging light. That is, the second lenses 402, 502, and 602 and the third lenses 403, 503, and 603, which are arranged adjacent to each other, diverge and converge light sequentially, thereby ensuring the magnification performance of the zoom optical system.
[0940] The optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 according to the fourth to sixth embodiments can satisfy at least one or two or more mathematical expressions from mathematical expression 31 to mathematical expression 57. In this case, the optical characteristics of the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can be improved. Specifically, when the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 satisfy at least one or two or more mathematical expressions from mathematical expression 31 to mathematical expression 57, the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can have improved resolution and improved aberration and distortion characteristics. Furthermore, the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can ensure the back focal length (BFL) of the image sensor 700, compensate for the deterioration of optical characteristics due to temperature changes, and minimize the gap between the last lens and the image sensor 700, thereby providing good optical performance in the central and peripheral portions of the field of view (FOV).
[0941] Table 20
[0942] Table 20 shows the resulting values of mathematical expressions 31-57 in the optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 of the embodiments. Referring to Table 20, it can be seen that optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 satisfy at least one, two or more, or three or more of mathematical expressions 31-57. Specifically, it can be seen that optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 according to this embodiment satisfy all of mathematical expressions 31-57. Therefore, optical systems 1300, 1400, and 1500 can have good optical performance in the central and peripheral portions of the field of view (FOV) and can have excellent optical characteristics.
