Technical Field
[0001] The disclosed implementation relates to a faucet device. Background Technology
[0002] Previously, a type of faucet device that allows the faucet to be pulled out for use is known (for example, see Patent Document 1). In the prior art, the flexible hose inserted into the faucet and the outer components of the faucet are secured by a retaining ring that is inserted from the outside to the inside of the faucet.

[0005] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2023-33712
[0006] In conventional technology, the connecting member for flexible hose connection overlaps with the outer component of the faucet. Retaining rings are inserted into the holes formed in both the connecting member and the outer component. Therefore, the length of the retaining rings in the insertion direction must be considered when designing the faucet. Consequently, the size of the faucet (hereinafter referred to as "faucet size") on the surface orthogonal to the water flow direction may become larger. Summary of the Invention
[0007] One embodiment aims to provide a faucet device that allows the spout to be pulled out from the faucet mounting section, thereby reducing the size of the spout.
[0008] One embodiment of the faucet device includes: a spout that can be pulled out from a faucet mounting portion; and a flexible hose connecting the spout and a water supply source. The spout includes: a cylindrical outer member; a connecting member connected to the tip of the flexible hose inserted into the outer member; and a locking member accommodated on the outer member upstream of the connecting member in the flow direction of water exiting the spout, disposed between the outer member and the flexible hose. The locking member includes: a first locking portion engaging with the outer member; and a second locking portion engaging with the connecting member at a different location than the first locking portion.
[0009] Therefore, by placing the first engaging portion that engages with the outer component and the second engaging portion that engages with the connecting component that connects to the flexible hose in different locations, the thickness required to install each engaging portion can be reduced. Consequently, the faucet assembly can reduce the size of the spout. Furthermore, by reducing the spout size, the faucet assembly improves design flexibility. Moreover, the faucet assembly can reduce the spout size without thinning the flexible hose.
[0010] In addition, the first engaging part is engaged with the exterior component by a snap fastener.
[0011] Therefore, the faucet assembly can engage the locking member and the outer component, and can reduce the thickness of the area where the locking member and the outer component engage. Thus, the faucet assembly can reduce the size of the water spout. Furthermore, the faucet assembly can, for example, prevent the flexible hose from thinning, and can further reduce the size of the water spout. Moreover, for the operator, releasing the engagement between the locking member and the outer component becomes easier, and disassembling the faucet assembly becomes easier. Therefore, the operator can easily perform maintenance on the faucet assembly.
[0012] In addition, the second engaging part abuts against the connecting member in the direction of water flow.
[0013] Therefore, the faucet assembly can engage the locking member and the connecting member, and can reduce the thickness of the portion where the locking member and the connecting member engage. Thus, the faucet assembly can reduce the size of the water spout. Furthermore, the faucet assembly can, for example, prevent the flexible hose from thinning, and can also reduce the size of the water spout. Moreover, the second engaging portion abuts against the connecting member in the water flow direction; therefore, in the case of the faucet assembly, if the engagement between the locking member and the outer member is released, for example, by moving the locking member upstream, the engagement between the locking member and the connecting member can be released. Therefore, disassembly of the faucet assembly becomes easier for the operator, and maintenance of the faucet assembly can be performed more easily.
[0014] In addition, the faucet includes: a water-discharging member housed in the exterior member for discharging water; and a stop member positioned downstream of the water-discharging member in the direction of water flow, abutting against the water-discharging member. A groove is formed circumferentially on the inner wall of the exterior member. The stop member is embedded in the groove.
[0015] Therefore, the faucet assembly, through the stop member, prevents the water-dispensing component, housed in the spout, from falling off the spout. Furthermore, by embedding the stop member into a groove provided in the inner wall of the outer component, the faucet assembly reduces the amount of the stop member protruding inwards towards the spout. Thus, for example, when viewing the faucet assembly from the direction of water dispensing, the stop member is prevented from becoming conspicuous. Moreover, the faucet assembly prevents movement of the water-dispensing component without requiring insertion from the outside to the inside of the outer component using, for example, screws. Therefore, the faucet assembly allows for a smaller spout size.
[0016] In addition, the trough has a notch on the downstream side in the direction of water flow.
[0017] Therefore, users can remove the stop from the groove via the notch. For example, operators can remove the stop from the groove by inserting a thin pin into the notch. Thus, operators can easily perform maintenance on the faucet assembly.

Detailed Implementation
[0028] The faucet device 6 in the embodiment is, for example, Figure 1 As shown, it is located on the face wash and makeup table 1. Figure 1 This is a perspective view showing a portion of a washbasin 1 equipped with a faucet device 6 according to an embodiment. Figure 1 In this version, a portion of the washbasin / vanity unit 1 is omitted. The faucet unit 6 may also be located elsewhere than the washbasin / vanity unit 1.
[0029] It should be noted that, in the following, the side in front of the user standing on the washbasin 1 is referred to as the front side, the wall side on which the back of the washbasin 1 is mounted is referred to as the rear side, the right side of the user standing in front of the washbasin 1 and observing the washbasin 1 is referred to as the right side, and the left side is referred to as the left side. In addition, the vertical direction is referred to as the lower side, and the direction opposite to the vertical direction is referred to as the upper side.
[0030] The washbasin / vanity unit 1 includes a lower cabinet 2, a washbasin 3, a wall panel 4 (faucet mounting part), an operating device 5, and a faucet device 6.
[0031] The lower cabinet 2 is configured to be placed on the ground with its back against the wall where the washbasin 1 is located, and can store items inside.
[0032] The washbasin 3 is configured to be placed on the top surface of the lower cabinet 2, which allows for flexible use of most of the depth of the washbasin vanity 1 as space for washing.
[0033] The wall panel 4 extends upwards from the lower cabinet 2. The wall panel 4 is positioned behind the washbasin 3. The wall panel 4 is configured as a box-shaped structure protruding forward from the wall where the vanity 1 is installed. The flexible hose 10 (described later) is housed within the wall panel 4. Figure 2 Various functional components, such as flexible hoses 10, are housed within the lower cabinet 2. The wall panel 4 is configured to communicate with the lower cabinet 2. Alternatively, the wall panel 4 may not be connected to the lower cabinet 2. The flexible hoses 10 and other functional components may also be housed solely within the wall panel 4.
[0034] Operating device 5 is mounted on wall panel 4. Operating device 5 handles operations related to water dispensing via faucet device 6. Operating device 5, operated by the user, switches between a dispensing state (water dispensing from faucet device 6) and a non-dispensing state (water not dispensing from faucet device 6). Operating device 5, operated by the user, adjusts the water volume dispensing from faucet device 6. Operating device 5, operated by the user, adjusts the temperature of the dispensing water.
[0035] The water includes water supplied from external water pipes, hot water supplied from a water heater, and hot and cold water resulting from a mixture of water supplied from external water pipes and hot water supplied from a water heater. For example, when adjusting the water temperature, the operating device 5 changes the mixing ratio of water supplied from external water pipes and hot water supplied from a water heater. The operating device 5 may also be a device that does not adjust the water temperature.
[0036] The faucet device 6 is configured to dispense water according to the operation of the operating device 5. For example... Figure 2 As shown, the faucet device 6 includes a flexible hose 10, a hose guide 11, and a water spout 12. Figure 2 This is a view of a portion of the vanity unit 1 from the front. (See image below.) Figure 3 As shown, the faucet device 6 has a guide member 13. Figure 3 yes Figure 2 Enlarged view at section III-III. The faucet device 6 is a pull-out faucet device configured to allow the water spout 12 to be pulled out for washing hair and cleaning the washbasin 3.
[0037] It should be noted that, hereinafter, the direction of water flow is sometimes defined as the direction of water flow from the faucet 12. That is, the direction of water flow is the direction of water flow through the faucet device 6. In terms of the direction of water flow, the operating device 5 side is upstream, and the faucet 12 side is downstream. Furthermore, in the embodiment of the washbasin 1, the faucet 12 is pulled out in the forward direction. That is, the direction in which the faucet 12 is pulled out and the direction in which it is pushed back are in the front-back direction. It should be noted that the faucet 12 can also be pulled out diagonally downwards.
[0038] The flexible hose 10 is a flexible water supply hose with a metal coating. The flexible hose 10 connects the faucet 12 and the water supply pipe 14 (water source). The water supply pipe 14 is the pipe through which water flows when water is supplied via the operation of the operating device 5. The water supply pipe 14 is, for example, fixed to the lower cabinet 2. One end of the flexible hose 10 is connected to the water supply pipe 14. The other end of the flexible hose 10 is connected to the faucet 12.
[0039] The flexible hose 10 is accommodated in the wall panel 4 and the lower cabinet 2. For example... Figure 2 As shown, the flexible hose 10 extends downward from the water supply pipe 14 and is configured in a generally U-shape, folding back upward at its lower end. The flexible hose 10 is configured to extend upward after the upper fold, inserting into the wall panel 4 and extending upward within the wall panel 4. For example... Figure 3 As shown, the flexible hose 10 is configured to bend forward in the wall panel 4, pass through the guide member 13, and extend forward. The flexible hose 10 is connected to the water nozzle 12 on the front side.
[0040] The flexible hose 10 is pulled out from the wall panel 4 and then pushed back into the wall panel 4 according to the operation of the faucet 12 by the user.
[0041] The flexible hose guide 11 is accommodated in the wall panel 4 and the lower cabinet 2. The flexible hose guide 11 may also be accommodated only in the wall panel 4. The flexible hose guide 11 guides the flexible hose 10. Specifically, the flexible hose guide 11 guides the sliding of the flexible hose 10 accommodated in the wall panel 4 and the lower cabinet 2. The flexible hose guide 11 is configured to guide the sliding of the flexible hose 10 extending downward from near the portion of the flexible hose 10 that bends forward within the wall panel 4.
[0042] The hose guide 11 is configured to cover the flexible hose 10. The hose guide 11 can be located between the wall panel 4 and the lower cabinet 2 and the flexible hose 10. For example, the hose guide 11 can be located between the front wall panel 4 and the flexible hose 10. Alternatively, the hose guide 11 can be located between the rear wall panel 4 and the flexible hose 10. The hose guide 11 is mounted to the wall panel 4 via a mounting member.
[0043] The guide member 13 guides the flexible hose 10 inserted therein to slide. The guide member 13 is fixed to the wall panel 4. Specifically, as Figure 3 As shown, the guide member 13 is mounted to the wall panel 4 via the mounting member 15. The guide member 13 is mounted to the wall panel 4 by means of a hole 4a formed in the wall panel 4. The water tap 12 is mounted to the guide member 13 when the water tap 12 is not pulled out of the wall panel 4. That is, the water tap 12 can be detached from the guide member 13.
[0044] Regarding guide component 13, refer to... Figure 3 and Figure 4 Please provide an explanation. For example... Figure 4 As shown, the guide member 13 includes a guide body 20, a mounting part 21, and a support part 22. Figure 4 This is a three-dimensional view of the guide component 13 viewed from the oblique rear.
[0045] The guide body 20 is cylindrical. The guide body 20 protrudes forward from the wall panel 4. A portion of the guide body 20 is inserted into a hole 4a in the wall panel 4. The guide body 20 extends in the front-to-back direction. An insertion path 24 for inserting a flexible hose 10 is formed in the guide body 20. The guide body 20 includes a faucet support 25 and an enlargement 26.
[0046] The faucet support 25 is configured to allow for the detachment of the faucet 12. The faucet support 25 is located in front of the wall panel 4. The faucet support 25 is formed to extend in the front-rear direction.
[0047] The enlarged portion 26 is located rearward of the faucet support portion 25. The enlarged portion 26 extends rearward from the rear end of the faucet support portion 25. The front end of the enlarged portion 26 is located forward of the wall panel 4. The rear end of the enlarged portion 26 protrudes into the wall panel 4.
[0048] The enlarged portion 26 is formed to protrude outward from the faucet support portion 25. The enlarged portion 26 extends in the direction in which the flexible hose 10 is accommodated in the wall panel 4, i.e., the accommodating direction of the flexible hose 10. When the flexible hose 10 is accommodated in the wall panel 4 from the guide member 13 downwards, the accommodating direction of the flexible hose 10 is downwards. Therefore, the enlarged portion 26 is formed to extend downwards. Specifically, the enlarged portion 26 is formed to extend downwards as it becomes rearwards.
[0049] The insertion path 24 includes a first insertion path 24a and a second insertion path 24b. The first insertion path 24a is formed in such a way that the flexible hose 10 inserted into the first insertion path 24a is supported in a straight line. The first insertion path 24a is formed in the front-back direction. That is, the first insertion path 24a is formed such that the flexible hose 10 extends in the front-back direction. The first insertion path 24a is formed, for example, in the faucet support portion 25.
[0050] The second insertion channel 24b is located further rearward than the first insertion channel 24a. The cross-sectional area of the second insertion channel 24b is larger than that of the first insertion channel 24a. The cross-sectional area is the cross-sectional area of a surface orthogonal to the front-rear direction. It should be noted that the cross-sectional area of the second insertion channel 24b is the cross-sectional area at the imaginary line connecting the top of the rib 27 (described later). The cross-sectional area of the second insertion channel 24b is the area in which the flexible hose 10 can be inserted.
[0051] The second insertion path 24b is formed such that the flexible hose 10 inserted into the second insertion path 24b bends in the receiving direction of the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4. The second insertion path 24b is formed to extend in the receiving direction of the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4. Specifically, the second insertion path 24b is formed to extend downwards. For example, the second insertion path 24b has a curved surface 24c along the bend of the flexible hose 10. The curved surface 24c is formed to extend downwards as it becomes rearward. That is, the curved surface 24c bends downwards as it becomes rearward.
[0052] In this way, a bent base end 24d is formed in the insertion channel 24, which is where the bending of the flexible hose 10 begins within the insertion channel 24. That is, the guide member 13 has a bent base end 24d inside, which is where the bending of the flexible hose 10 begins. The bent base end 24d is the portion where the flexible hose 10 inserted into the first insertion channel 24a begins to bend downwards in the receiving direction of the flexible hose 10. For example, the bent base end 24d is the portion that forms the boundary between the first insertion channel 24a and the second insertion channel 24b in the front-back direction.
[0053] The first insertion path 24a is an insertion path downstream of the curved base end 24d in the direction of water flow. Furthermore, the second insertion path 24b is an insertion path upstream of the curved base end 24d in the direction of water flow.
[0054] A plurality of ribs 27 are formed in the second insertion channel 24b. The plurality of ribs 27 are formed in the second insertion channel 24b in a direction different from the receiving direction of the flexible hose 10. The plurality of ribs 27 are formed, for example, on the upper wall surface of the second insertion channel 24b and the side wall surface of the second insertion channel 24b in the left and right directions.
[0055] Multiple ribs 27 are formed extending in the front-to-back direction. The multiple ribs 27 are configured to guide the flexible hose 10. The multiple ribs 27 are formed to prevent the flexible hose 10 from bending in a direction different from the receiving direction when it is pushed back (accommodated) from the wall panel 4 after being pulled out of it. Furthermore, the multiple ribs 27 are formed to reduce the contact resistance with the contacted flexible hose 10 when it is pulled out of the wall panel 4 or pushed back into it. It should be noted that the ribs 27 can also be formed on the curved surface 24c.
[0056] The mounting portion 21 is formed, for example, protruding upward from the guide body 20. A screw hole 21a is formed in the mounting portion 21 for inserting a screw 28 for fixing the guide member 13 to the mounting member 15. The support portion 22 is formed, for example, protruding left-right from the guide body 20. An insertion hole 22a is formed in the support portion 22 for inserting a support pin for supporting the guide member 13.
[0057] Next, refer to Figure 3 , Figure 5 as well as Figure 6 The following describes the water tap 12. Figure 5 It is Figure 3 The enlarged view of the front end of the water nozzle 12 shown. Figure 6 This is a view of the front end of the water nozzle 12 from below.
[0058] The water tap 12 is detachable from the guide member 13. The water tap 12 is mounted to the wall panel 4 via the guide member 13. That is, the water tap 12 can be pulled out of the wall panel 4. The water tap 12 dispenses the supplied water via a flexible hose 10. Figure 3 As shown, the water nozzle 12 includes an exterior component 30, a connecting component 31, a locking component 32, a connector component 33, a water discharge component 34, and a stop component 35.
[0059] The exterior component 30 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The exterior component 30 is formed to extend in the front-to-back direction. The exterior component 30 is formed to bend downward from the front end side. The flexible hose 10, which is inserted into the guide component 13, is inserted into the exterior component 30.
[0060] A locking hole 30a is formed in the exterior component 30. The locking hole 30a is formed on the rear end side of the exterior component 30. The locking hole 30a is formed on the lower side of the exterior component 30. Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, a groove 30b is formed in the exterior member 30. The groove 30b is formed on the inner wall of the exterior member 30 at the front end. The groove 30b is formed along the circumference of the exterior member 30. Specifically, the groove 30b is formed covering the entire circumference of the inner wall of the exterior member 30. A notch 30c is formed in the groove 30b. The notch 30c is formed on the downstream side of the groove 30b in the direction of water flow. The notch 30c is formed in the direction of water flow.
[0061] like Figure 3 As shown, the connecting member 31 is housed within the outer appearance member 30. The connecting member 31 is connected to the front end of the flexible hose 10 inserted into the outer appearance member 30. The connecting member 31 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The connecting member 31 includes a first connecting member 37 and a second connecting member 38.
[0062] The first connecting member 37 is connected to the front end of the flexible hose 10. The first connecting member 37 is configured to protrude downstream from the front end of the flexible hose 10 in the direction of water flow. A portion of the first connecting member 37 is inserted into the flexible hose 10. For example, a portion of the first connecting member 37 is pressed into the flexible hose 10.
[0063] The second connecting member 38 is positioned upstream of the first connecting member 37 in the direction of water flow. The second connecting member 38 is positioned rearward of the first connecting member 37. The second connecting member 38 is connected to the metal cladding of the flexible hose 10. The second connecting member 38 is configured to cover the outer side of the front end of the flexible hose 10 inserted into the outer appearance member 30. The second connecting member 38 abuts against a portion of the outer peripheral wall of the flexible hose 10 to which a portion of the first connecting member 37 is inserted. The front end of the second connecting member 38 abuts against the first connecting member 37. Specifically, the front end face of the second connecting member 38 abuts against the first connecting member 37.
[0064] A portion of the second connecting member 38 and the first connecting member 37 are inserted into the connector member 33. For example, a portion of the second connecting member 38 is embedded in the connector member 33. Similarly, the first connecting member 37 is embedded in the connector member 33. A sealing member 50 is provided between the outer peripheral wall of the first connecting member 37 and the inner peripheral wall of the connector member 33. The connecting member 31 may also be configured to contact the connector member 33 in the front-rear direction. For example, the second connecting member 38 may also be configured such that its front end face contacts the connector member 33 in the front-rear direction.
[0065] The engaging member 32 is housed within the outer member 30. The engaging member 32 is housed on the upstream side of the outer member 30 in the water flow direction, relative to the connecting member 31. The engaging member 32 is positioned rearward of the connecting member 31. The engaging member 32 is cylindrical. The engaging member 32 is located between the outer member 30 and the flexible hose 10. When the water nozzle 12 is installed on the guide member 13, the guide member 13 is inserted into the engaging member 32. Specifically, when the water nozzle 12 is installed on the guide member 13, the water nozzle support portion 25 of the guide member 13 is inserted between the engaging member 32 and the flexible hose 10. A sealing member 51 is provided between the engaging member 32 and the outer member 30.
[0066] The engaging member 32 has a first engaging portion 40 and a second engaging portion 41. The first engaging portion 40 engages with the outer member 30. The first engaging portion 40 is engaged with the outer member 30 by a snap fastener. The first engaging portion 40 has an arm portion 42 and a claw portion 43.
[0067] An arm 42 is provided at the lower end of the engaging member 32. The arm 42 is formed to extend rearward from the base end on the front side. The arm 42 is formed to be able to flex around the base end side.
[0068] A claw portion 43 is formed at the rear end of the arm portion 42. The claw portion 43 is formed in such a way that it protrudes downward from the arm portion 42. The claw portion 43 engages with the engagement hole 30a of the exterior member 30.
[0069] The second engaging portion 41 is located at a different position than the first engaging portion 40. The second engaging portion 41 is located downstream of the first engaging portion 40 in the direction of water flow. The second engaging portion 41 is located forward of the first engaging portion 40. The second engaging portion 41 engages with the connecting member 31. Specifically, the second engaging portion 41 abuts against the connecting member 31 in the direction of water flow. For example, the second engaging portion 41 is the front end face of the engaging member 32. The second engaging portion 41 abuts against the rear end face of the second connecting member 38.
[0070] The connector member 33 is housed within the outer appearance member 30. The connector member 33 is housed within the outer appearance member 30 extending in the front-to-back direction. The connector member 33 is housed within the outer appearance member 30 downstream of the engaging member 32 in the direction of water flow. The connector member 33 is positioned forward of the engaging member 32. The connector member 33 is formed in a cylindrical shape. A connecting member 31 is inserted at the rear end of the connector member 33. A water-discharging member 34 is inserted at the front end of the connector member 33.
[0071] The water-discharging member 34 is housed within the outer appearance member 30. The water-discharging member 34 is housed within the downwardly curved outer appearance member 30. A portion of the water-discharging member 34 is housed within the outer appearance member 30 extending in the front-rear direction. The water-discharging member 34 is housed within the outer appearance member 30 downstream of the connector member 33 in the direction of water flow. The water-discharging member 34 is positioned forward of the connector member 33. The rear end of the water-discharging member 34 is inserted into the connector member 33. For example, the water-discharging member 34 is embedded within the connector member 33. A sealing member 52 is provided between the outer peripheral wall of the water-discharging member 34 and the inner peripheral wall of the connector member 33.
[0072] The water-discharging member 34 is shaped to match the downwardly curved exterior member 30, and is inclined in a downward direction as it moves from rear to front, and is also formed in a bent manner. A flow-rectifying section 44 is provided at the front end of the water-discharging member 34. The flow-rectifying section 44 adjusts the flow of water discharged from the nozzle 12. A sealing member 53 is provided between the outer peripheral wall of the water-discharging member 34 on the front end side and the inner peripheral wall of the exterior member 30.
[0073] like Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, the stop member 35 is embedded in the groove 30b formed in the outer appearance member 30. The stop member 35 is a generally C-shaped ring member. When embedded in the groove 30b, the stop member 35 protrudes inwardly from the inner wall of the outer appearance member 30. The stop member 35 is configured to prevent the water discharge member 34 from moving downstream in the direction of water flow. Specifically, the stop member 35 abuts against the top end of the water discharge member 34 on the downstream side in the direction of water flow.
[0074] In the faucet device 6, when the faucet 12 is pulled out from the wall panel 4, that is, when the faucet 12 is removed from the guide member 13 for use, the faucet 12 and the flexible hose 10 are pulled out from the wall panel 4 as a whole.
[0075] In the faucet 12, the first engaging portion 40 of the engaging member 32 engages with the engaging hole 30a of the exterior member 30, and the engaging member 32 and the exterior member 30 move as a single unit. When the faucet 12 is pulled out from the wall panel 4, the second engaging portion 41 of the engaging member 32 engages (contacts) with the rear end face of the connecting member 31, thereby pushing the connecting member 31 forward by the engaging member 32, and the connecting member 31 and the engaging member 32 move as a single unit. That is, the connecting member 31 and the exterior member 30 move as a single unit.
[0076] The flexible hose 10 is connected to the connecting member 31. When the water nozzle 12 is pulled out from the wall panel 4, the flexible hose 10 and the connecting member 31 move together and are pulled out from the wall panel 4. That is, the flexible hose 10 and the water nozzle 12 are pulled out from the wall panel 4 together.
[0077] When the faucet 12 is pulled out from the wall panel 4 and installed on the wall panel 4, that is, when the faucet 12 is pushed back, the faucet 12 and the flexible hose 10 are pushed back as a whole.
[0078] When the water nozzle 12 is pushed back, the stop member 35 abuts against the top end of the water discharge member 34 on the downstream side in the water flow direction, thus the water discharge member 34 and the appearance member 30 move together and are pushed back. Furthermore, the water discharge member 34, the connector member 33, and the connecting member 31 also move together and are pushed back. The flexible hose 10 and the connecting member 31 are pushed back together, and a portion of the flexible hose 10 is accommodated in the wall panel 4. It should be noted that, since the second engaging part 41 contacts the connecting member 31 in the front-rear direction, and the first engaging part 40 engages with the appearance member 30, the engaging member 32 moves together with the appearance member 30 and is pushed back.
[0079] A flexible hose 10 is inserted into a guide member 13, bending downwards from the rearward side of the curved base end 24d of the guide member 13, and is received in the wall panel 4. The curved base end 24d is formed in the insertion path 24 of the guide member 13, at a position forward of the wall panel 4. The guide member 13 has a curved surface 24c that extends downwards as it becomes rearward in a second insertion path 24b located at a position rearward of the curved base end 24d.
[0080] Therefore, the flexible hose 10 bends downward along the curved surface 24c from the side forward of the wall panel 4. Consequently, the longitudinal length of the bent flexible hose 10 within the wall panel 4 becomes shorter. That is, the longitudinal length of the wall panel 4 required to accommodate the bent flexible hose 10 becomes shorter.
[0081] When the flexible hose 10 is pulled out from the wall panel 4 and when the flexible hose 10 is pushed back into the wall panel 4, the flexible hose 10 is guided and slides within the wall panel 4 by the hose guide 11. Therefore, the flexible hose 10 is, for example, prevented from contacting other components and moves smoothly within the wall panel 4 along the hose guide 11.
[0082] Furthermore, a plurality of ribs 27 extending in the front-rear direction are formed in the second insertion path 24b of the guide member 13, thereby guiding the flexible hose 10 by means of the ribs 27, for example, when the flexible hose 10 is pushed back. Specifically, the flexible hose 10 is prevented from bending in a direction different from the receiving direction of the wall panel 4 by means of the ribs 27.
[0083] The faucet device 6 includes: a water spout 12 that can be pulled out from the wall panel 4; a flexible hose 10 that connects the water spout 12 to the water supply pipe 14; and a guide member 13 that is fixed to the wall panel 4 and guides the flexible hose 10 inserted therein to slide. The guide member 13 has a bent base end 24d inside that initiates the bending of the flexible hose 10.
[0084] Therefore, the flexible hose 10 begins to bend within the guide member 13 in the direction of receiving the flexible hose 10 and is received in the wall panel 4. Thus, the faucet device 6 can reduce the front-to-back space required in the wall panel 4 to accommodate the bent flexible hose 10. Specifically, the faucet device 6 can reduce the thickness of the wall panel 4 required to accommodate the bent flexible hose 10. By reducing the thickness of the wall panel 4, the faucet device 6 improves design flexibility.
[0085] Furthermore, the curved base end 24d is positioned downstream of the wall panel 4 in the direction of water flow from the nozzle 12.
[0086] Therefore, the flexible hose 10 inserted into the guide member 13 bends from the downstream side of the wall panel 4 toward the receiving direction of the flexible hose 10. As a result, the faucet device 6 can reduce the front-to-back space required in the wall panel 4 to accommodate the bent flexible hose 10, and can make the wall panel 4 thinner.
[0087] Furthermore, an insertion path 24 for inserting the flexible hose 10 is formed in the guide member 13. The cross-sectional area of the second insertion path 24b, which is upstream of the curved base end 24d, is larger than the cross-sectional area of the first insertion path 24a, which is downstream of the curved base end 24d.
[0088] Thus, the faucet device 6 can bend the flexible hose 10 in the second insertion path 24b upstream of the bent base end 24d to accommodate the flexible hose 10 in the wall panel 4. Furthermore, when the operator inserts the flexible hose 10 into the guide member 13 from the wall panel 4, the flexible hose 10 can be easily inserted into the second insertion path 24b upstream of the bent base end 24d.
[0089] Furthermore, the second insertion path 24b, located upstream of the bent base end 24d, is formed in a manner that extends in the receiving direction of the flexible hose 10.
[0090] Therefore, the faucet device 6 allows the flexible hose 10 to be inserted into the wall panel 4 via the second insertion path 24b, which is upstream of the curved base end 24d. The faucet device 6 reduces the sliding resistance of the flexible hose 10 when the nozzle 12 is pulled out of the wall panel 4 and when the nozzle 12 is pushed back to the wall panel 4. In other words, the faucet device 6 allows the flexible hose 10 to move smoothly.
[0091] Furthermore, the second insertion path 24b, located upstream of the curved base end 24d, has a curved surface 24c that curves along the flexible hose 10.
[0092] Therefore, the faucet device 6 allows the flexible hose 10 to slide along the curved surface 24c. Thus, the faucet device 6 reduces the sliding resistance of the flexible hose 10 when the spout 12 is pulled out from the wall panel 4 and when the spout 12 is pushed back to the wall panel 4. In other words, the faucet device 6 allows the flexible hose 10 to move smoothly along the curved surface 24c.
[0093] In addition, the faucet device 6 has a hose guide 11 that guides the sliding of the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4.
[0094] Therefore, when the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4 moves within the wall panel 4, the faucet device 6 can suppress contact between the flexible hose 10 and components other than the hose guide 11. Thus, the faucet device 6 can reduce the sliding resistance of the flexible hose 10. That is, the faucet device 6 allows the flexible hose 10 to move smoothly.
[0095] In addition, the hose guide 11 is configured to cover the flexible hose 10.
[0096] Therefore, the faucet device 6 can be guided by the hose guide 11 in a manner that covers the entire circumference of the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4. Thus, when the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4 moves within the wall panel 4, the faucet device 6 can prevent the flexible hose 10 from contacting components other than the hose guide 11. Therefore, when the flexible hose 10 housed in the wall panel 4 moves within the wall panel 4, the faucet device 6 can reduce the sliding resistance of the flexible hose 10. In other words, the faucet device 6 allows the flexible hose 10 to move smoothly.
[0097] Furthermore, the guide member 13 has a rib 27 in the second insertion path 24b upstream of the bent base end 24d, which can guide the flexible hose 10.
[0098] Therefore, in the second insertion path 24b upstream of the bent base end 24d, the faucet device 6 can reduce the sliding resistance of the flexible hose 10. When the spout 12, pulled out from the wall panel 4, is pushed back, the faucet device 6 can prevent the flexible hose 10 from bending in a direction different from its receiving direction. Therefore, the faucet device 6 can easily accommodate the flexible hose 10 in the wall panel 4. Furthermore, the faucet device 6 provides ribs 27 in the guide member 13, thereby increasing the strength of the guide member 13.
[0099] For example, to secure the exterior and connecting components, it's possible to insert a retaining ring from the outside in. However, in this case, the length of the inserted retaining ring must be considered, and the size of the nozzle (hereinafter referred to as "nozzle size") on the surface orthogonal to the water flow direction must be increased. Furthermore, if the length of the retaining ring is considered and the nozzle size is reduced, for example, the flexible hose becomes thinner, and the cross-sectional area of the flow path of the flexible hose becomes smaller. Therefore, it may be impossible to make the water ejected from the nozzle flow in the desired manner.
[0100] [0090 In contrast, the faucet device 6 includes a spout 12 that can be pulled out from the wall panel 4 and a flexible hose 10 connecting the spout 12 and the water supply pipe 14. The spout 12 includes: a cylindrical outer member 30; a connecting member 31 connected to the front end of the flexible hose 10 inserted into the outer member 30; and a locking member 32 housed in the outer member 30 upstream of the connecting member 31 in the flow direction of water discharged from the spout 12, and disposed between the outer member 30 and the flexible hose 10. The locking member 32 includes: a first locking portion 40 that engages with the outer member 30; and a second locking portion 41 that engages with the connecting member 31 at a different location than the first locking portion 40.]
[0101] Therefore, by placing the first engaging portion 40, which engages with the outer member 30, and the second engaging portion 41, which engages with the connecting member 31, which connects to the flexible hose 10, in different locations in the faucet device 6, the thickness required for each engaging portion can be reduced. Thus, the faucet device 6 can reduce the size of the spout 12. Furthermore, by reducing the size of the spout 12, the faucet device 6 can improve design flexibility. Moreover, the faucet device 6 can reduce the size of the spout 12 without, for example, thinning the flexible hose 10. Therefore, the faucet device 6 can ensure that water is dispensed from the spout 12 in the desired manner.
[0102] In addition, the first engaging part 40 is engaged with the exterior component 30 by a snap fastener.
[0103] Therefore, the faucet assembly 6 can engage the locking member 32 and the outer member 30, and can reduce the thickness of the part where the locking member 32 and the outer member 30 are engaged. Thus, the faucet assembly 6 can reduce the size of the spout 12. Furthermore, the faucet assembly 6 can, for example, prevent the flexible hose 10 from becoming thinner, and can also reduce the size of the spout 12. Moreover, for operators, it becomes easier to disengage the locking member 32 and the outer member 30, and easier to disassemble the faucet assembly 6. Therefore, operators can easily maintain the faucet assembly 6.
[0104] Furthermore, the second engaging part 41 abuts against the connecting member 31 in the direction of water flow.
[0105] Therefore, the faucet device 6 can engage the engaging member 32 and the connecting member 31, and can reduce the thickness of the portion where the engaging member 32 and the connecting member 31 are engaged. Thus, the faucet device 6 can reduce the size of the spout 12. Furthermore, the faucet device 6, for example, prevents the flexible hose 10 from becoming thinner, and can reduce the size of the spout 12. Moreover, since the second engaging portion 41 abuts against the connecting member 31 in the water flow direction, the faucet device 6 can release the engagement between the engaging member 32 and the outer member 30, for example, by moving the engaging member 32 upstream. Therefore, disassembly of the faucet device 6 becomes easier for operators, and maintenance of the faucet device 6 can be performed more easily.
[0106] Furthermore, the water nozzle 12 includes: a water-discharging member 34, housed in the outer appearance member 30, for discharging water; and a stop member 35, positioned downstream of the water-discharging member 34 in the water flow direction, abutting against the water-discharging member 34. A groove 30b is formed circumferentially on the inner wall of the outer appearance member 30. The stop member 35 is embedded in the groove 30b.
[0107] Therefore, the faucet device 6, through the stop member 35, can prevent the water-dispensing member 34, etc., housed in the spout 12, from falling off the spout 12. Furthermore, by embedding the stop member 35 into the groove 30b provided in the inner wall of the outer member 30, the faucet device 6 can reduce the amount of protrusion of the stop member 35 protruding towards the inside of the spout 12. Therefore, for example, when viewing the faucet device 6 from the direction of water dispensing, the stop member 35 can be prevented from becoming conspicuous. Moreover, the faucet device 6 can prevent the water-dispensing member 34 from moving without the need for insertion, for example, a screw, from the outside to the inside of the outer member 30. Therefore, the faucet device 6 can reduce the size of the spout 12.
[0108] Furthermore, the trough 30b has a notch 30c on the downstream side in the direction of water flow.
[0109] Therefore, users can remove the stop 35 from the groove 30b via the notch 30c. For example, operators can remove the stop 35 from the groove 30b by inserting a thin pin into the notch 30c. Thus, operators can easily perform maintenance on the faucet assembly 6.
[0110] Alternatively, the modified faucet device 6 has a protrusion that protrudes outward from the front end of the water-discharging member 34 and can be elastically deformed. By embedding the protrusion into the groove 30b of the appearance member 30, the water-discharging member 34 and the appearance member 30 are integrated.
