The method includes: inputting the acquired fault description text into a fault-parameter identification model to obtain target operating parameters and anomaly thresholds; retrieving a first parameter value sequence to determine if the equipment is faulty; if faulty, converting equipment operation monitoring data into an equipment fault feature vector, retrieving the knowledge entry with the highest confidence from a preset knowledge base, and pushing it to the user; within a preset verification time window after the user applies the knowledge entry, acquiring a second parameter value sequence; calculating an operating status recovery index; if the index is greater than a preset index threshold, generating a fault handling completion report and archiving it; if it is less than or equal to the preset index threshold, generating a fault handling failure log, and marking the fault description text and knowledge entry as awaiting manual review. This solution addresses the technical problem of low effectiveness in existing industrial equipment fault handling methods.
