A weather-resistant and mildew-resistant MS adhesive and its preparation process

Abstract

This invention relates to the field of adhesive preparation technology, specifically to a weather-resistant and mildew-resistant MS adhesive and its preparation process. The process includes the following steps: preparing an antibacterial silane-terminated polyurethane resin, preparing a bio-based UV absorber, preparing light-stabilized capsules, and preparing the weather-resistant and mildew-resistant MS adhesive. This invention combines caffeic acid and ethylene carbonate to prepare a bio-based UV absorber. After fabricating polyester-silane hybrid microcapsules using the bio-based UV absorber as the core material, moisture-responsive slow release is achieved. Even if the wall material is completely degraded, the released BHBPE remains a solid polymer, not volatilizing, precipitating, or being lost due to diffusion within the sealant matrix. Finally, it is applied to silane-terminated polyurethane MS adhesive, providing both durable UV absorption and long-lasting antibacterial properties.
