METHOD FOR SHAPING THE EDGE OF CELLULOSE PRODUCTS IN A FORMING MOLD SYSTEM AND FORMING MOLD SYSTEM FOR SHAPING THE EDGE OF CELLULOSE PRODUCTS

Abstract

A method for forming the edge of cellulose products in a forming mold system and a forming mold system (S), wherein the forming mold system is adapted to form cellulose products from an air-formed cellulose workpiece structure (2). The forming mold system comprises a first mold section (3) and a second mold section (4) arranged to cooperate with each other. The first mold section comprises an edge forming device (5) with a protruding element (5a) arranged to condense and separate the fibers of the cellulose workpiece structure. The edge forming device is arranged to be movable relative to a base structure (3a) of the first mold section, and the edge forming device is adapted to interact with a pressure element (6) arranged on the base structure.The method includes the steps of: providing the air-formed cellulose workpiece structure and arranging the cellulose workpiece structure between the first mold portion and the second mold portion; forming a condensed edge structure of the cellulose products by separating the fibers of the cellulose workpiece structure with the protruding element; applying an edge-forming temperature to the cellulose workpiece structure; and condensing the cellulose workpiece structure by applying an edge-forming pressure via the pressure element to the cellulose workpiece structure between the protruding element and the second mold portion.
