Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to an arrangement with two installation sets, namely a first installation set and a second installation set, for operating fittings of underground gas or liquid lines, in particular so-called valves or slide valves, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
[0002] For the installation of an installation kit, a so-called vertical trench is provided, which extends from the road surface to the fitting of the valve or gate to be operated, which is located on the relevant gas or liquid line, in particular, e.g., a water line. After the installation of the installation kit, a section of the trench is filled with soil. In the upper area of the installation kit, a shaft element is inserted, which extends to the road surface. The top of the shaft element is closed with a cover. To prevent contamination of the connection area of the installation kit on the valve or gate, the key rod is surrounded by a sleeve tube. The sleeve tube, in turn, carries a bell on its underside, which surrounds the connection area of the installation kit on the valve or gate and protects it from the ingress of dirt. The installation depths, i.e.The ranges to be bridged for installation kits vary depending on the installation situation. If the length of an installation kit is insufficient for the respective installation depth, installation kits with special lengths have been used. This has previously required such installation kits to be kept in stock for when needed, which increases storage and manufacturing costs.
[0003] A mounting kit is known from DE 201 18 062 U1. This mounting kit features a special extension piece as an accessory to bridge different ranges. The extension piece is connected to an edge cap attached to the mounting kit. The geometries of the edge cap and a bell-shaped adapter located on the extension piece are coordinated. The extension piece must therefore be kept in stock as a separate accessory.
[0004] DE 200 10 723 U1 discloses an installation kit equipped with an upper sand protection cap. The sand protection cap has a seal that forms a contact surface surrounding the key rod with the square cap. The seal extends slightly beyond the upper edge of the sand protection cap and is in direct contact with the underside of the square cap.
[0005] DE 198 08 195 C1 describes an operating rod for an underground valve with a telescopic operating rod arranged within movable protective tubes. The operating rod is equipped with a clamping unit.
[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide a generic arrangement with which the manufacturing costs, including storage costs, can be significantly reduced.
[0007] The present problem is solved in the generic arrangement by the features of claim 1. Accordingly, two installation kits are installed coupled together to bridge the installation length. This previously unknown basic idea has the advantage that any installation depth can be bridged using conventional installation kits, without the need to keep installation kits with special lengths on hand.
[0008] It is particularly useful if at least one of the two combined installation sets is designed as a so-called "telescopic installation set." This allows for fine-tuning of any required length differences.
[0009] The first installation kit of the inventive arrangement for operating valves or gate valves in underground gas or liquid lines comprises a key rod, a coupling sleeve in the base area of the first installation kit for connection to a spindle of a valve or gate valve, a sleeve tube surrounding the key rod, and a bell housing surrounding the connection area of the installation kit and the valve or gate valve. According to the invention, the arrangement is designed such that the two installation kits are installed coupled to each other to bridge different installation depths.
[0010] A special design of the first installation kit has means for connecting the key rod to the key rod of the second installation kit in its end region facing away from the bell. This allows a connection, particularly one that transmits torque, to be established between the key rods of the adjacent installation kits.
[0011] These means are expediently a plug connection, which is preferably secured by means of a securing part, in particular a bolt or the like.
[0012] According to the invention, the first installation fitting has a connecting part in its end region facing away from the bell, which is installed coupled to the bell of the second installation fitting. This provides the advantage that the means for connecting the key rods of the adjacent installation fittings are covered by the bell, thus preventing soil from entering them when the sewer trench is filled.
[0013] According to the invention, the connection between the connecting piece of the first installation kit and the bell of the second installation kit is a sealed connection, preventing water from penetrating the interior along the dividing line between the connecting piece and the bell. Functional impairments due to freezing water in the interior are thus effectively eliminated. Furthermore, the penetration of dirt is prevented.
[0014] According to the invention, a circumferential seal, e.g. a conventional O-ring, is provided in the connection area between the connecting part of the first installation kit and the bell of the second installation kit.
[0015] According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the connecting part is placed on or attached to the sleeve tube of the first installation kit. This has the advantage that conventional installation kit designs can be easily equipped with the connecting part.
[0016] To connect the connecting part to the sleeve tube of the first installation kit, a permanent connection is expediently provided to create a one-piece connection, for example by welding.
[0017] Furthermore, the connector can also be secured using a holder. For this purpose, a holder is attached, for example, to the key rod of the installation kit, and the connector is connected to the holder using a plug-in, screw-in, or snap-in connection.
[0018] The locking connection has the advantage of being particularly easy to operate and can be implemented using several axially extending locking lugs with radial spring travel, which in particular overlap a vertical projection of the connecting part. The connecting part and holder must therefore be axially displaced relative to each other, which causes locking at a specific axial position.
[0019] Preferably, the connecting part serves to fix the sleeve tube in its position in the end region opposite the bell, for example by means of a circumferential contact wall on the connecting part against which the sleeve tube rests.
[0020] Alternatively, an axially acting connection can be provided between the connecting piece and the sleeve tube. Particularly advantageous are radially spring-loaded locking pins, which engage in corresponding lateral recesses on the sleeve tube and provide axial fixation between the connecting piece and the sleeve tube. To establish the axial connection, the sleeve tube simply needs to be pushed into the connecting piece until the locking pins engage.
[0021] In order to prevent water from penetrating into the interior of the installation kit in the connection area of the installation kits, a circumferential seal, in particular in the form of a circumferential O-ring, is preferably provided between the connecting part and the holder.
[0022] Connecting means are provided for connecting the bell of the second installation kit to the connecting part. A suitable design of such a connecting means consists in at least one coupling recess being provided on the outer circumference of the connecting part, into which a fastening projection provided on the inside of the bell of the second installation kit engages, or vice versa.
[0023] Advantageously, the coupling recess for the fastening projection can be axially introduced by axial displacement, so that the fastening projection can initially be brought into the correct position in the coupling recess. Furthermore, a locking mechanism is provided that engages the fastening projection in a locking manner, particularly when the bell is rotated completely relative to the connecting part, and fixes the rotational position. The second installation set can therefore first be pushed axially onto the connecting part via its bell, and then, by turning, the bell locks onto the connecting part. This enables particularly simple and quick installation while simultaneously ensuring effective sealing.
[0024] If necessary, disc-shaped marking parts (indicating discs to indicate the position (open position, closed position), colour coding for gas or water, the use of an adapter for a mechanical or electronic counter) can also be attached to the connecting part and / or the holder.
[0025] Furthermore, at least one recess is provided on the connector and / or the holder, housing a magnet. The magnet serves to easily locate the installation kit.
[0026] The present invention relates to the arrangement of a first and a second installation set, which is particularly intended for installation in the water pipe area. This embodiment is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. For the sake of clarity, recurring, identical features are provided with only a single reference numeral. Fig. 1: a sectional view of the first installation kit; Fig. 2: a perspective view of the top ( Fig. 2A) and bottom ( Fig. 2B) of the connecting part; Fig. 3: a perspective view of the upper part ( Fig. 3A) and lower part ( Fig. 3B) the holder for the connecting part; Fig. 4: a perspective view of the upper end area of the first installation kit, including the connecting part and the holder, and Fig. 5: a sectional view of the connection area of the first and second installation kit.
[0027] Reference number 1 in Fig. 1 designates the first installation set in its entirety. It comprises a two-part sleeve tube 4, which surrounds a two-part key rod 2. The key rod 2 and the sleeve tube 4 are designed in two parts to allow for the possibility of setting different overall lengths by sliding them against each other. This type of design is also called a telescopic installation set. A sleeve 23 serves to seal the upper and lower sections of the sleeve tube 4.
[0028] The key bar 2 has a square cross-section and also comprises two telescopic sections. The upper end of the key bar 2 is covered by a square protector 9.
[0029] At the opposite end of the key rod 2 is a so-called coupling sleeve 3, which serves to create a torque-transmitting connection with the connecting square of an underground valve or gate (not shown). For example, there are self-adjusting snap-in connections for this purpose when the coupling sleeve is placed on the connecting square of the valve or gate (in Fig. 1 not shown).
[0030] At the lower end of the sleeve tube 4, a bell 5 is attached, which surrounds the coupling sleeve 3 and ensures that dirt cannot penetrate into the connection area.
[0031] On the inside of the bell 5, several fastening projections 21 are provided, the function of which will be explained in detail below.
[0032] At the opposite end area of the first installation kit 1 there is a connecting part 6 which is intended to establish a connection with the bell 12 of an adjacent second installation kit 10.
[0033] Fig. Figure 2A shows a perspective view of the connecting part 6. This is an annular element with an internal through-opening 29. On the outer circumferential surface of the connecting part 6 is a circumferential groove into which a seal 8 in the form of an O-ring is inserted. Furthermore, a total of three coupling recesses 15 are provided in a symmetrical arrangement on the front outer side of the connecting part 6. These coupling recesses 15 are open at the top 22 and then extend in the circumferential direction. Each coupling recess 15 has a locking lug 30 formed by a slot.
[0034] Furthermore, a recess 16 is provided on the top side for receiving a magnet 24, which serves to facilitate the location of the first installation kit 1 (see Fig. 2A).
[0035] The connecting part 6 is expediently designed as a plastic injection-molded part.
[0036] As can be seen from the illustration of the underside of the connecting part 6 in accordance with. Fig. As can be seen in Figure 2B, this has a wall located on the underside of the through-opening 29 with a larger diameter than the through-opening 29. This wall forms an inner vertical projection 19. The projection 19 serves to accommodate the sleeve tube 4 on the inside of the projection 19. In the area of this projection 19, two opposing locking pins 27 are provided, which, due to incisions on both sides, are capable of springing radially inward or outward. The inner wall is connected to the outer wall of the connecting part 6 via the webs.
[0037] To attach the connecting part 6 to the key rod 2 of the first installation kit 1, see Fig. 3 A - a holder 13 is provided. The holder 13 has a sleeve 28 whose inner diameter is adapted to the outer diameter of the key rod 2. A plate-like extension adjoins the sleeve 28. On the opposite side of the plate-like extension is a circumferential ring of individual locking lugs 14, which are intended to form a locking connection with the connecting part 6, i.e., the underside of the inner vertical projection 19.
[0038] As from Fig. 3B, a circumferential seal 20 in the form of an O-ring is provided on the underside of the plate-like extension, between the plate-like extension and the individual locking lugs 14, which seals the holder 13 and the connecting part 6 from one another, so that liquid from the outside cannot penetrate into the interior of the first installation kit 1.
[0039] The holder 13 is fixed by means of a locking pin 26 (cf. Fig. 1), which is guided through the through-bore 18 and through a bore (not shown) located in the key rod 2. The holder 13 is thus fixed to the key rod 2 in a movement-resistant manner. The connecting part 6 and the holder 13 are first pre-assembled, pushed onto the key rod 2 of the first installation set 1 as an assembly unit, and secured with the aforementioned locking pin 26.
[0040] Fig. Figure 4 shows the connector 6 in a fully assembled state in a partial section. The locking pin 26 for the through hole 18 is shown in the figure for clarity. Fig. 4 is not shown. The same applies to the locking pin 25 for the axial fixation of the square protector 9 at the end of the key rod 2.
[0041] As from Fig. 4, the connecting part 6 is both on its outer circumferential side opposite the (in Fig. 4) bell 12 is sealed by the seal 8. Furthermore, a seal is provided between the holder 13 and the connecting part 6 in the parting plane of the two aforementioned parts via the seal 20.
[0042] The outer wall of the sleeve tube 4 is in contact with the inner side of the axially projecting wall of the connecting part 6. The axial fixation of the sleeve tube 4 is achieved via the locking pins 27 (see Fig. 2B), which are divided into corresponding (in Fig.4 not shown) recesses on the outside of the sleeve tube 4 engage in a locking manner.
[0043] To connect the first and second installation kits 1, 10 to each other, the square protector 9 on the top side of the first installation kit 1 is first removed by removing the locking pin 25, and the key rod 11 of the adjacent second installation kit 10 is inserted over the end of the key rod 2 of the first installation kit 1 and preferably secured with the locking pin 25. Furthermore, the bell 12 of the adjacent second installation kit 10 is pushed onto the connecting part 6 via the corresponding fastening projections 21, rotated, and locked, thereby creating a sealed connection between the bell 12 and the connecting part 6.
[0044] Different installation depths can therefore be easily accommodated by combining two standard installation sets. Fine adjustments are made by operating the longitudinal adjustment mechanism of the first and second installation sets 1 and 10, respectively.
[0045] The invention ensures significantly simplified inventory management while simultaneously effectively reducing the manufacturing costs of corresponding installation kits. The invention therefore represents a significant contribution to the relevant field of technology.
