Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a carpenter's folding table.
[0002] Carpenter’s tables are already known.
[0003] US 2001 / 0 022 931 A1 describes a device which has a single base frame to which two foldable plates are directly attached.
[0004] The disadvantage of conventional carpenter's tables is that heavy objects, such as doors, are difficult to turn for processing and this can only be done with the help of another person.
[0005] The object of the invention is to improve the state of the art and, in particular, to provide a carpenter's folding table on which even heavy, unwieldy objects, such as doors, can be easily turned by one person.
[0006] The problem is solved by the features of the claims.
[0007] The subject of the invention is a carpenter's folding table according to claim 1.
[0008] The carpenter's folding table according to the invention comprises a base frame, preferably in the form of a four-sided frame, which preferably has four wheels so that the carpenter's folding table can be moved around. This base frame contains a height adjustment device, preferably a continuously variable height adjustment device, which is operated via a scissor frame, a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, or a rack and pinion height adjustment. The height adjustment can be driven manually, pneumatically, or preferably electrically. The device can be powered via a cable connected to a 240 V AC outlet or preferably via direct current, preferably by means of a battery, which is preferably attached to the table, such as a 12 V or 24 V vehicle battery. On this height adjustment device is another frame, the height-adjustable frame, which preferably has the form of a four-sided frame.wherein this height-adjustable frame, which preferably has a wooden plate, which in the middle part has a two-part foldable table top (the two-part foldable table top could also be attached directly to the height-adjustable frame), wherein the two parts of the table tops are fastened in the middle part to the height-adjustable frame in a movable foldable manner about an axis each, wherein these two table tops can also be spaced from each other, i.e. have a distance or a spacer, wherein this distance can preferably be formed by an elongated plate, which can be arranged between the two movable foldable table tops and which is preferably somewhat wider than the widest workpiece to be processed, so that the latter cannot be damaged when folded in and the table tops on both sides of the table top, preferably on the outer edge, preferably at the corner points of the two movable folding table tops, by means of fastening elements spaced apart from each other on the base frame of the carpenter's folding table, wherein the fastening devices are separate from the support frame, i.e. the height-adjustable frame on which the two table tops are fastened, so that when the height-adjustable frame is lowered below the height level at which the table tops are still lying horizontally, the two table tops, the movable folding table tops, being fastened on the one hand to the edge of the movable folding table tops above via the fastening elements and on the other hand to the base frame below via these fastening elements, begin to fold in a V-shape at an angle of less than 180° to each other in their middle. The fastening elements are preferably fastened at the top around a pivot axis, around which they are rotatable at the top. The fastening elements are preferably attached at the bottom around a pivot axis around which they are rotatable at the bottom. Thus, the fastening elements are each attached at both the top and bottom via a pivot axis around which they are rotatable.
[0009] In the carpenter's folding table according to the invention, the fastening elements are four rods, preferably made of plastic or particularly preferably of metal, which are preferably attached to the four corners of the two movable, foldable table tops. In a preferred embodiment, the fastening elements are telescopic, whereby the table can be adjusted in height in a horizontal position. The table can be raised in height until the telescopic rods have reached their stop point in height. The table can be adjusted in depth until the telescopic rods have reached their stop point in depth, at which point the movable, two-part, foldable table tops begin to fold towards each other from an angle of 180° in a V-shape to an angle of less than 180°.
[0010] In the carpenter's folding table according to the invention, the fastening elements have adjustable stop points that initiate the folding movement of the table tops.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment, the lower stop point on each fastening element can be adjusted separately, i.e. the lower the stop point is set, the lower the height level and the later the two table tops tilt (and the lower the working height of the horizontally lying table tops) and the higher the stop point is set, the higher the height level and the earlier the two table tops tilt (and the higher the working height of the horizontally lying table tops) so that the tilt level can be adjusted depending on the height of the person working at the table. The stop point is preferably adjusted by inserting split pins, screws, etc. into drill holes in the fastening elements at the same height level.
[0012] In the carpenter's folding table according to the invention, the fastening elements are preferably removable by removing the fastenings, such as cotter pins or screws, along with the fastening elements. In this state, the carpenter's folding table according to the invention, with the tabletops in a horizontal position relative to each other, can be adjusted to any height possible with the height adjustment device, since the fastening elements that hold the movable, tiltable tabletops at the same height are now missing when the height-adjustable frame is lowered below the height of the horizontally positioned tabletops, thus preventing the tabletops from tipping over.
[0013] The carpenter's folding table according to the invention is height-adjustable when the tabletops are in a horizontal position. This is preferably the case when the fastening elements are telescopic, whereby height adjustment when the tabletops are in a horizontal position is only possible if the height of the tabletop is above the stop point below which the tilting is initiated.
[0014] The carpenter's folding table according to the invention makes it possible for one person to turn and work on heavy, flat objects such as doors on a table at the same time. First, one surface is worked on on the table and then the height-adjustable frame is lowered until the object slides into the V of the folded table tops and is then simply turned over to the other side that has not yet been worked on. The height-adjustable frame is then raised again until the object is lying with the unworked surface facing upwards to be worked on.
[0015] In a further preferred embodiment of the carpenter's folding table, a further height-adjustable device is provided on the height-adjustable frame, to which the table tops, which are foldable in two parts in the middle part, are now fastened, so that the two parts of the table tops in the middle part are movably and foldably fastened on this further height-adjustable frame and the table tops are fastened on both sides of the table top, preferably on the outer edge, preferably at the corner points of the two movable folding table tops, by means of fastening elements, at a distance from the base frame of the carpenter's folding table, separate from the height-adjustable frame, the support frame on which the two table tops are fastened, so that the two table tops when the further height-adjustable frame is raised above the height level at which the table tops are still lying horizontally, the two movable folding table tops,By being fastened to the edge of the movable folding table tops, preferably at the corners of the two movable folding table tops, on the one hand, at the top via the fastening elements, and on the other hand, at the bottom via these fastening elements to the base frame, by being fastened to the edge of the movable folding table tops, they begin to fold away from each other in an A-shape at an angle greater than 180° in their center. The fastening elements are preferably fastened at the top around a pivot axis around which they are rotatable at the top. The fastening elements are preferably fastened at the bottom around a pivot axis around which they are rotatable at the bottom. Thus, the fastening elements are fastened both at the top and at the bottom via a pivot axis around which they are rotatable.
[0016] The arrangement with the A-shaped folding allows large, flat objects to be processed at an angle.
[0017] In the carpenter's folding table according to the invention, the surface area of the table tops can be enlarged by the table preferably having cross members on its long side into which panels, such as wooden panels, can be placed in order to enlarge the table surface.
[0018] The carpenter's folding table can preferably be operated via a remote control via radio or cable.
[0019] Preferably, the carpenter's folding table according to the invention is mobile. Figures Fig. 1 Fig. 1 shows the non-folded, horizontally positioned two-part table tops 5 as well as their rotation axes 6 and the preferred spacer 7 between the table tops, wherein the scissor frame 2 fastened to the base frame 1 and the height-adjustable frame 3 mounted thereon and the telescopic fastening elements 4 fastened to the height-adjustable frame 3 and to the foldable, two-part table top 5 can be seen. Fig. 2 Fig. 2 shows the folded two-part table top 5 lying in a V-shaped position as well as its rotation axes 6 and the preferred spacer 7 between the table tops, wherein the scissor frame 2 fastened to the base frame 1 and the height-adjustable frame 3 mounted thereon and the telescopic fastening elements 4 fastened to the height-adjustable frame 3 and to the foldable two-part table top 5 can be seen.
