Description
AREA OF INVENTION
[0001] The present disclosure relates to the technical field of electronic technology and in particular to an information processing method and an electronic device. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The development of electronic technology has led to a wide variety of electronic products, especially consumer electronics devices such as tablets, large tablets, smartphones, laptops, etc.
[0003] To simplify the use of electronic devices, these devices are always equipped with a display unit, and an operating control area is shown on the display unit, such as a desktop. A user can operate the electronic device via an execution object on the operating control area. For example, the user creates multiple shortcuts on the desktop, clicks on shortcuts to open a music player, browse images, etc. Furthermore, the electronic device is often connected to another electronic device. After the connection is established, a navigation menu of the other electronic device is displayed on the display unit. Files on the other electronic device can be viewed or executed by clicking on the navigation menu.
[0004] In the prior art, the navigation menu of the other electronic device is usually displayed at a fixed position on the display unit of the electronic device, e.g., an upper right corner of the display unit; or, if the electronic device is connected to a plurality of other electronic devices, the navigation menus of the plurality of other electronic devices are all displayed at a fixed position, and the differentiation of the corresponding other electronic devices must be based solely on the labels on the navigation menus.
[0005] However, if the navigation menu is displayed in a fixed position, it is quite inconvenient for the user to operate a large electronic device; for example, the user connects their own mobile phone to the large electronic device in the lower left corner, but the navigation menu appears in the upper right corner; the user must therefore move to a position in the upper right corner to operate the device; furthermore, the large electronic device is usually in a multi-user environment, so that if several users connect their mobile phones to the large electronic device, it is difficult to distinguish between the multiple navigation menus, which often leads to errors, such as when user A accidentally accesses files on user B's mobile phone. Thus, the current state of the art presents the technical problem that the position of the navigation menu is inherently fixed by the electronic device, leading to difficulties for the user.
[0006] Publication US 2008 / 0198138A1 describes the identification of a data storage device detected on the touch-sensitive surface of a display device. The data storage device is detected via a wireless communication channel, and subsequent communication via a second communication channel confirms that the data storage device detected on the wireless communication channel is the same data storage device detected on the surface of the display device.
[0007] Publication US 2013 / 0093713A1 describes a method by which a device can detect the presence of a nearby device based on a signal received by the device that contains at least a proximity component and / or an orientation component.
[0008] Publication US 2013 / 0 268 897 A1 describes an interaction device with an interaction interface whose display area consists of several display boundaries. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] The object of the present invention is to provide an improved information processing method and an improved electronic device to solve the technical problem that the position of a navigation menu is inherently fixed by the electronic device.
[0010] This problem is solved by an information method according to claim 1 and an electronic device according to claim 8.
[0011] Preferred embodiments of the present invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0012] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an information processing method and an electronic device to solve the technical problem that the position of the navigation menu is inherently fixed by the electronic device, which leads to difficulties in use in the prior art.
[0013] One aspect of the present disclosure provides an information processing method applied to an electronic device comprising a display unit, wherein the method comprises: when a second electronic device is connected to the electronic device and placed on the display unit, obtaining a placement position of the second electronic device on the display unit; determining a display position to change one of the menu items by changing the placement position of the second electronic device so that a multi-azimuth request of the user can be met, which is more user-friendly;Furthermore, the display position of each of the second electronic devices is linked to the (placement) position of each of the second electronic devices, which makes it easier for the user to distinguish which is the menu of their own electronic device, thus reducing operating errors and greatly simplifying operation by the user.
[0014] Furthermore, if the display position lies within a predetermined area of the placement position, for example, if an edge of the display position borders an edge of the placement position, it is possible to further clarify an existing relationship between the menu and the second electronic device, and it is more convenient for the user to operate the menu with a more economical gesture without moving.
[0015] Furthermore, regardless of whether the menu position is linked to the placement position of the second electronic device, in this embodiment, when the second electronic device is shaken, the menu is shaken at the original position with the same shaking parameter to achieve synchronization with the electronic device, allowing the user to quickly and accurately locate the menu belonging to their own electronic device among several menus.
[0016] Furthermore, in this embodiment, when the menu is shaken together with the second electronic device, the files of the second electronic device are controlled so that they are displayed on the display unit with a parameter that is in accordance with the shake parameter of the menu, thus providing a natural way of displaying files and firmly linking gestures and reactions to them in the user interface, making the interactive user interface more adapted to humans and more user-friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EXECUTION FORMS
[0017] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an information processing method and an electronic device to solve the technical problem that the position of the navigation menu is inherently fixed by the electronic device, which in the prior art causes difficulties for the user in operation.
[0018] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, when a second electronic device is connected to the electronic device and placed on the display unit, a placement position of the second electronic device on the display unit is obtained; and a display position of a menu of the second electronic device is determined, based on position information of the placement position of the second electronic device, the menu is controlled so that it is displayed at the determined display position; wherein the menu is a navigation menu of files that are stored in the second electronic device. It is evident that in this embodiment, the menu display position is linked to the placement position of the second electronic device, instead of being located at a standard display position; the menu display position is therefore more flexible and user-friendly; furthermore, it is also possible to change the menu display position by changing the placement position of the second electronic device, thus accommodating multi-azimuth requirements, which is more user-friendly; furthermore, the display position of each second electronic device is linked to the (placement) position of each second electronic device, making it easier for the user to distinguish which menu is that of their electronic device, reducing user error, and greatly simplifying operation.
[0019] To better understand the aforementioned technical solutions, the technical solutions are described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings and the specific implementation methods.
[0020] One embodiment of the present disclosure provides an information processing method applied to an electronic device, which may be, for example, a conventional tablet, a large tablet, or another electronic device that supports multi-azimuth operation by multiple users. The electronic device includes a display unit.
[0021] A second electronic device can be connected to the electronic device, wherein the second electronic device is, for example, a mobile phone, a tablet, or a data storage device that is connected to the electronic device by being placed on the display unit. In particular, the second electronic device can be connected to the electronic device via a data line, WiFi, Bluetooth, or an RF link.
[0022] When the second electronic device is connected to the electronic device, Fig. 1 a flowchart of an information processing method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, wherein the method comprises the following:
[0023] Step 101: when a second electronic device is connected to the electronic device and placed on the display unit, obtaining a placement position of the second electronic device on the display unit;
[0024] Step 102: Determining a display position of a menu of the second electronic device, based on position information of the placement position of the second electronic device;
[0025] Step 103: Displaying the menu at the determined display position; wherein the menu is a navigation menu of files stored on the second electronic device.
[0026] In step 101, when the second electronic device is placed on the display unit, the placement position of the second electronic device can be obtained in particular by a touch control unit, or by a pressure sensor, or by a camera arranged in a corner of the display unit; of course, the placement position of the second electronic device can also be obtained in other ways; the present application makes no restrictions here.
[0027] Furthermore, in step 101, the case may occur where the user places the second electronic device on the display unit before connecting the second electronic device to the electronic device; for example, the user first places the mobile phone on the display unit and then connects it to the electronic device.
[0028] In another embodiment, the method, in the event that the user places the second electronic device on the display unit after connecting the second electronic device to the first, further comprises the following before the second electronic device is placed on the display unit: displaying the menu in a preset position. The preset position is, for example, a standard position of the electronic device, e.g.an upper right corner of the display unit, or it is displayed randomly on the display unit, for example, the user first picks up the mobile phone and then connects it to the electronic device via Bluetooth, in which case the electronic device is controlled to display the mobile phone's navigation menu in a preset position; then the user places the mobile phone on the display unit, whereupon step 101 is executed at this time to obtain the placement position of the mobile phone on the display unit.
[0029] In another embodiment, the case in which the user places the second electronic device on the display unit may also consist of the second electronic device being connected to the electronic device, having been placed on the display unit at an earlier time, then being removed and then being placed back on the display unit; for example, in the case in which the mobile phone and the electronic device are already connected, the user removes the mobile phone that was placed on the display unit and places it back on the display unit. Therefore, in this embodiment, before the user removes the mobile phone that was placed on the display unit and then places it back on the display unit, the display position of the menu can be the position that was determined when it was placed at an earlier time; it can also be a preset position according to the first embodiment.
[0030] Regardless of when the second electronic device is placed on the display unit, once it has been placed on the display unit, the placement position of the second electronic device on the display unit is obtained in the manner described above; step 102 is executed after the placement position has been obtained, i.e., a display position of a menu of the second electronic device is determined based on position information of the placement position of the second electronic device.
[0031] In practice, step 102 consists in particular of the following: determining a display position of a menu, based on position information of the placement position within a predetermined area of the placement position, whereby the predetermined area may be defined by the user, or the electronic device may specify a default value; in general, the predetermined area may result in the menu being easy to use if the display position is within the predetermined area, provided that the position the user remains in when placing the second electronic device remains unchanged, in other words, the display position is at the edge of the placement position.
[0032] In a specific configuration, there are a variety of implementation types; for example, the predetermined area is an area that causes an edge of the display position to border an edge of the placement position, as in Fig. Figure 2 shows that 201 indicates the placement position of the second electronic device on the display unit 20, and the placement position 201 has a border 203, a border 204 of the menu 202 is the border 204 that indicates the display position of the menu 202, and the border 203 and the border 204 are adjacent to each other at a point of contact 10. When the electronic device determines the display position, based on position information from the placement position, it is possible first to determine a central point of the placement position, and then a rule for determining this is that a connection between the central point of the placement position and the central point of the display position is parallel to a border of the display unit, so that a horizontal or vertical coordinate of the central point of the display position can be determined, after which it is possible toto determine the vertical and horizontal coordinates of the central point according to a distance value from the edge of the display position to the central point; this distance value should be less than or equal to a minimum distance from the central point to the placement point; then the display position can be determined based on the distance value, and the display position determined by this rule can be on the left, right, top, or bottom side of the placement position; Fig. Figure 2 shows it, for example, on the right side of the placement position.
[0033] Thus, in this embodiment, the method can further clarify an existing relationship between the menu and the second electronic device, and it is more convenient for the user to operate the menu with a more economical gesture, without making a movement.
[0034] Of course, the display position can be determined by other rules, such as calculating which edge of the display unit the placement position is closest to, for example, the edge to which the shortest distance of the central point of the placement position measured from each edge of the display unit belongs, whereupon the display position is determined to be within an area near the edge.
[0035] Once the menu's display position has been determined by any of the methods described above, the menu is displayed at the determined display position, meaning that step 103 is executed.
[0036] The menu in this embodiment is a navigation menu of files stored on the second electronic device; such as in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the second electronic device stores music, photos, games, and other files, and it is possible to open a different folder by clicking on each of the menu items and thus executing the files.
[0037] As can be seen from the description above, in this embodiment the menu display position is linked to the placement position of the second electronic device, rather than being a standard display position; therefore, the menu display position is more flexible and user-friendly; furthermore, it is also possible to change the menu display position by changing the placement position of the second electronic device, thus accommodating multi-azimuth requirements, which is more user-friendly; furthermore, the display position of each of the electronic devices is linked to the (placement) position of each of the electronic devices, making it easier for the user to distinguish which menu is that of their electronic device, reducing user error, and greatly simplifying operation.
[0038] In one embodiment, step 103 particularly comprises: displaying two concentric polygons with different radii at the display position; forming an annular polygon between the two concentric polygons with different radii; and displaying M menu items on the annular polygon, thereby forming the menu. (Referring to...) Fig. 2. Menu 202 consists of two concentric circles with different radii, with three menu items—music, photos, and games—displayed on the resulting ring. In practice, the polygon can also be elliptical, rectangular, pentagonal, a parallelogram, a hexagon, etc.
[0039] Furthermore, the identification information of the second electronic device and / or the connection type of the second electronic device with the first can also be displayed in a central position in the menu, e.g., in the polygon with a smaller radius; the identification information is, for example, the type (e.g., mobile phone or tablet) or model (e.g., mobile phone model) of the second electronic device, and the connection type is, for example, a USB connection, WiFi, or Bluetooth, all of which can be displayed in the central position of the menu. As in Fig. Figure 3 shows that the central position 206 indicates that the second electronic device is connected to the first electronic device via USB.
[0040] Next, an operating mode for displaying files naturally will be described.
[0041] When the menu appears on the display unit, the user can pick up the mobile phone to shake it, or they can leave the mobile phone in its (placement) position and shake it, for example, from side to side or from top to bottom. In either case, when the second electronic device is shaken, it can receive the shaking parameters of the second electronic device, such as the shaking frequency and / or amplitude. There can be several ways to implement this specific method in practice. For example, if the second electronic device is shaken in the case of a connection or disconnection, it can detect its own shaking frequency and / or amplitude through an internal or external sensor.Since the second electronic device and the first electronic device are already connected, the second electronic device can transmit the shaking parameter to the first electronic device via the connection. If the second electronic device is shaken at its placement position, it can, for example, calculate the shaking parameter of the second electronic device based on the situation that light is blocked.
[0042] When the electronic device receives the shake parameter, the menu displays this, for example, at the menu's position corresponding to the shake parameter in shake mode. If the menu is already displayed at its preset position when the second electronic device is shaken, it will be displayed at that preset position in shake mode. This means the menu shakes synchronously; in this way, the user can quickly find the menu belonging to the second electronic device among the multiple menus, without having to search through them all one after the other. Of course, in practice, the shake parameter of the first menu and the shake parameter of the second electronic device do not necessarily have to be identical.
[0043] In another embodiment, while the menu is displayed in shake mode, the method further comprises: controlling the device so that the files on the second electronic device are displayed on the display unit with a parameter that corresponds to the shake parameter of the menu. This creates the technical effect that the files appear to emerge because the menu is shaken to "shake them out," and it further feels as if shaking the mobile phone causes the files to be revealed, thus implementing a natural operating gesture.
[0044] With reference to Fig. 4. When the menu 202 is shaken, the files 207 are displayed on the display unit 20, so that it feels as if the files 207 are being "shaken out".
[0045] In practice, there are various implementation methods to determine which files should be displayed, for example by random display or display according to specific rules such as file type, for instance, displaying images first and music next; in another example, the display is based on file size or is determined by the user.
[0046] Furthermore, the display frequency of the files is in accordance with the shaking frequency of the menu, so the faster the menu is shaken, the faster the files are displayed.
[0047] On the other hand, the display position of the files lies within a predetermined area of the menu's display position.
[0048] Furthermore, when the files are displayed, those that appear first are closer to the menu, while those displayed later are increasingly farther away. Alternatively, the display distance can be determined based on the menu's shaking frequency; for example, the lower the frequency, the closer the files are to the menu, and the higher the frequency, the farther the files are from the menu.
[0049] In this embodiment, a natural way of displaying files is provided, and gestures and their reactions in the user interface are designed to be closely linked; the interactive user interface is better adapted to humans and more user-friendly.
