[0001] The invention relates to a sealing arrangement for a side door of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] In such side doors, it is generally known to provide at least one sealing arrangement with a molded part arranged in a corner area between a window guide which closes off the side door at the top or which receives an associated side pane in the upper edge area and seals against a corresponding door column or a corresponding roof frame, and an associated window guide rail along which the side pane is guided in a height-adjustable manner.
[0003] In the corner area of this sealing assembly, the molded part includes a typically angled lip, which is connected to a base via a connecting element. This lip is designed to rest against the inside of the closed side window, thus preventing wind flowing along the upper part of the window from entering the vehicle interior. [0013] The object of the present invention is to create a sealing arrangement of the type mentioned above, with which, in particular, noises caused by an overflow of airflow in the area of the molded part lip into the interior of the motor vehicle can be prevented in an even improved manner.

[0015] To effectively prevent noise in the area of the molded lip, the molded part features a support at a distance from the connecting part. This support acts as a rib for the molded lip when it contacts the side window. Therefore, when the side window is closed, the molded lip comes into contact with the window, and the support also provides additional support on the rear side of the molded lip facing away from the window. This ensures a particularly good fit between the molded lip and the window.
