Description

The invention relates to a plug for mating with a mating plug in a plugging direction. The invention also relates to an arrangement consisting of a plug and a mating plug. The plug has a housing which is provided with at least one contact receptacle for receiving at least one contact element. The housing has an outer wall which is accessible from the outside and on which a seal and a vibration damper are arranged spaced apart from one another in the plug-in direction and an uninstalled volume extends between the seal and the vibration damper and extends in the plug-in direction. The vibration damper is provided with at least one vent opening extending in the plug-in direction, wherein the vibration damper is formed continuously in a circumferential direction running transversely to the plug-in direction.Plugs are known from the prior art, for example from US 2007 / 0 059 967 A1, JP 2010-80 106 A, US 9 350 116 B1, JP 2005-5 035 A, DE 10 2005 057 266 A1, DE 101 10 470 A1 or US 2013 / 0 143 440 A1. As a rule, they can be connected to a mating plug, so that at least one contact element located in the contact receptacle of the plug can be connected to a contact element of the mating plug. When a plug is used in a harsh environment, water or other substances may enter the plug and interfere with a plug connection. Likewise, vibrations can have a negative influence on a plug connection. The object of the invention is to provide a plug and an arrangement of the above-mentioned type, as shown for example in US 2015 / 0 333 430 A1, which allow a sealed connection to be established with a mating plug and at the same time are capable of reducing the influence of vibrations or vibrations on the plug connection. However, it must be ensured that the measures do not impede or unnecessarily complicate the connection of the plug to a mating plug. The object according to the invention is achieved for the plug in that the vibration damper has at least one rib which extends circumferentially and is interrupted in the circumferential direction by the at least one end ventilation opening, and in that the vibration damper is made of a material different from the seal. For the arrangement, the object is achieved in that the plug is a plug according to the invention and in that the mating plug has a sealing surface which, in a plugged-together state in which the plug is plugged together with the mating plug, bears against the seal and against the vibration damper, and wherein the uninstalled volume extends continuously from the vibration damper to the seal in the plugged-together stateBoth the seal and the vibration damper can bear against the mating connector in a state connected to a mating connector. The seal can at least shield the contact receptacle against the penetration of liquid or dirt and the vibration damper can absorb vibration energy generated by vibrations, for example, so that a vibration between the plug and the mating plug is damped. The at least one vent opening can ensure that air can escape from the plug or the mating plug when the plug is plugged together with a mating plug, so that no overpressure arises in the plug when the plug is plugged together, which prevents or complicates further plugging together. An uninstalled volume extends between the seal and the vibration damper, that is to say that the space between the seal and the vibration damper is free of obstacles at least in sections to such an extent that an air flow between these elements is not impeded. The configuration of the vibration damper which is continuous in the circumferential direction allows a counterplug to have contact with the vibration damper in any direction transverse to the plugging direction, so that vibrations between the counterplug and the plug can be effectively damped. The solution according to the invention can be further improved by various embodiments, each advantageous per se, which can be combined with one another as desired. These embodiments and the advantages associated therewith are discussed below.According to a first advantageous embodiment, the plug can have more than one seal and / or more than one vibration damper. This can be advantageous in particular when the plug has an overall elongate shape. The plug can have a housing outer wall which is arranged circumferentially at least around the seal. Thus, between the seal and the housing outer wall, a receptacle for a mating plug or a housing of a mating plug can be formed. The outer housing wall of the plug can also surround the contact receptacle and the vibration damper at least in sections. The contact receptacle can have a connector face forming a front side of the connector. From the connector face, contact elements arranged in the contact receptacle can be accessible for connection to a mating connector. The vibration damper can surround the contact receptacle transversely to the plug-in direction. In particular, the vibration damper can be formed annularly. The vibration damper can have two circumferentially encircling ribs. The one or the two ribs can be formed monolithically with the rest of the vibration damper. A plurality of ribs can be arranged one behind the other as viewed in the plug-in direction. The at least one rib can abut against the mating connector in a state connected to the mating connector. The vibration damper preferably has a plurality of end ventilation openings. These may extend into the at least one rib, so that the rib is interrupted locally in the circumferential direction by the end ventilation openings. In the case of a plurality of ribs, each of the ribs preferably has a row of venting openings running circumferentially in the circumferential direction, wherein the venting openings of the two ribs are arranged one behind the other in the plug-in direction, so that an air stream running in the plug-in direction can pass the venting openings unimpeded. The venting openings can serve to allow air to escape from the interior of the plug, in particular from the uninstalled volume, when it is plugged together with the mating plug, such that the plugging together is not impeded. The vibration damping function of the vibration damper is not impaired thereby. In order to facilitate the mounting of the plug, the plug can have a separate holder for the vibration damper, which is arranged between the outer wall of the contact receptacle and the vibration damper. During the assembly of the plug according to the invention, the holder can first be provided with the vibration damper and then connected to the remaining plug.Alternatively, the vibration damper can also be mounted directly on the outer wall of the contact receptacle. In order to hold the vibration damper securely on the holder, the holder can have at least one seat for the vibration damper, which seat is designed as a circumferential groove in the circumferential direction. The vibration damper can be held in the seat in a form-fitting manner. If, on the other hand, the vibration damper is attached to the outer wall of the contact receptacle without a holder, the outer wall of the contact receptacle can have a seat for the vibration damper, which seat is designed as a circumferential groove in the circumferential direction. In order to save material and weight in the holder, the holder can have a groove structure which is open towards the connector face, that is to say towards the front. The grooves can in particular run parallel to the plug-in direction. In order to simultaneously make the holder light and stable, the grooves can be closed on a side of the holder opposite the connector face.In order to adapt the properties of the seal and the vibration damper to the respective tasks, the vibration damper is made of a different material than the seal. In particular, the vibration damper can be more rigid than the seal. The vibration damper is preferably formed from silicone.According to a further advantageous embodiment, the plug can have in a housing outer wall at least one receptacle for a position securing element for securing a mating plug. The position securing element can additionally serve to reduce or prevent vibrations. The position securing element for the plug according to the invention represents an advantageous improvement of the plug, since it reduces relative movements of the plug with respect to the counter-support, in particular in cooperation with the vibration damper. However, it is also possible to provide a plug only with the position securing element and without the vibration damper. In the receptacle for the position securing element, at least one wedge, in particular formed in the housing outer wall, can be present, which widens in the plug-in direction toward a plug face of the plug. The wedge can serve for clamping the position securing element in the receptacle. The plug can comprise at least one position securing element which can be inserted into the receptacle and which has at least one extension arm which, in an inserted state, bears at least in sections against the at least one wedge. The at least one extension arm can be deformable in a circumferential direction of the plug. The cantilever is preferably elastically deformable or elastically deflectable. The extension arm can serve to press against a part of the mating plug when it is connected to the plug. This is briefly explained below. When connecting the plug to the mating plug, a part of the mating plug or a part of a housing of the mating plug can project at least in sections into the receptacle for the position securing element. In this case, the part preferably projects into a region of the receptacle which is situated opposite the wedge. If the plug is connected to the mating plug, the position securing element is inserted into the receptacle, wherein preferably a cantilever of the position securing element is moved into a region between the wedge and the part of the mating plug projecting into the receptacle. Preferably, the extension arm is then moved during a movement along the plug-in direction by the wedge transversely to the plug-in direction in the direction of the part of the mating plug projecting into the receptacle. The extension arm can then abut on the part of the mating plug and apply pressure to the latter. As a result, the counterplug is clamped or pressed in the circumferential direction. As a result, movements or oscillations of the mating plug relative to the plug can be prevented. The receptacle may have at least one shoulder opposite the wedge in the circumferential direction. The shoulder can support a part of the mating plug arranged in the receptacle so that sufficient pressure can be generated from the position securing element on the mating plug.It should also be noted that the position securing element can simultaneously perform the locking of the mating plug on the plug, which locking is customary for a position securing element. In order to further improve the connection of a mating plug to the plug, the receptacle can have two wedges which are opposite one another in the circumferential direction. In order to facilitate the insertion of a part of the mating plug into the receptacle, the housing outer wall can be opened in the region of the receptacle in the direction of the contact receptacle at least in sections for receiving a part of the mating plug. In particular, slots can be present in the housing outer wall, which open in the plug-in direction and are continuous between the contact receptacle and the receptacle. The mating connector can have ribs, for example, which can be introduced into the slots.According to a further advantageous embodiment, the plug can have at least one support element at a rear end opposite a plug face, which support element is designed to support or to subject it to pressure a seal arranged between the support element and the plug face. As a result, an additional seal located at the rear end of the plug can contribute to vibration or vibration damping. This feature represents a further improvement of the plug according to the invention, in particular in cooperation with the external vibration damper, but can also be realized independently of this and of the position securing element described above. The at least one support element can surround at least one line lead-through transversely to the plug-in direction. For example, the support element can have a central opening through which a line is guided. The seal, which is supported on the supporting element, can also be arranged around a line. The support element can be formed monolithically, for example, as part of a housing of the plug, in particular as part of a separate cover. The invention is explained in more detail below by way of example on the basis of an advantageous embodiment with reference to the drawings. The combination of features illustrated by way of example in the embodiment can be supplemented by further features for a specific application in accordance with the above explanations. Also, also in accordance with the above explanations, individual features can be omitted in the described embodiment if the effect of this feature is not important in a specific application. In the drawings, the same reference numerals are always used for elements of the same function and / or the same structure. The following are shown: FIG. 1 shows an exploded view of a plug according to the invention; FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through a plug according to the invention with inserted contact elements. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the holder with attached vibration damper; FIG. 4 shows a perspective illustration of the holder with vibration damper from FIG. 3 in a state in which it is inserted into the plug; FIG. 5 shows a perspective illustration of a position securing element; FIG. 6 shows the position securing element of FIG. 5 in a state in which it is inserted into the receptacle for the position securing element.First, the general structure of a plug 1 according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. Subsequently, with reference to FIGS. 2 to 6, further details of the plug 1 will be discussed. The plug 1 extends substantially along a plug-in direction S and is designed for connection to a mating plug (not shown) along the plug-in direction S. The plug 1 has a contact receptacle 3, into which contact elements 5 can be inserted. FIG. 2 shows, by way of example, two contact elements 5 inserted in the contact receptacle 3. the contact receptacle 3 is accessible from a front side 7 of the plug 1 in the plug-in direction S and thereby forms a plug face 9.The contact receptacle 3 is surrounded in a circumferential direction U by a housing outer wall 11 of the plug 1. Preferably, the housing outer wall 11 is formed monolithically with the contact receptacle 3. The circumferential direction U extends around the plug-in direction S. The contact receptacle 3 and the housing outer wall 11 together form a housing 13 of the plug 1.In the housing outer wall 11 there is a receptacle 15 for a position securing element 17. The position securing element 17 can be inserted into the receptacle 15 substantially parallel to the plug-in direction S.On the rear side 19 opposite the connector face 9 in the plug-in direction S, the connector 1 preferably has a two-part cover 21. The cover 21 can surround the housing 13 at least in sections when the two halves 21 aand 21 bof the cover 21 are assembled and attached to the housing 13.A seal 23 is arranged between the contact receptacle 3 and the housing outer wall 11. The seal 23 abuts against an outer wall 25 of the contact receptacle 3. A receptacle 27 for at least part of a mating plug (not shown) is accessible from the front side 7, which receptacle extends between the contact receptacle 3 or its outer wall 25 and the housing outer wall 11 in the plug-in direction S.The receptacle 27 extends into a region between the seal 23 and the housing outer wall 11 The seal 23 is continuous in the circumferential direction U. The same applies to the receptacle 27. In a state in which it is plugged together with a mating plug, a part of the mating plug is arranged in the receptacle 27 in such a way that it is in continuous contact with the seal 23 in the circumferential direction U. At the same time, the mating plug encloses the region of the contact receptacle 3 between the seal 23 and the plug face 9.A vibration damper 29 is attached to the front side 7. The vibration damper 29 runs in the circumferential direction U around the contact receptacle 3 or around the plug face 9, respectively. An uninstalled volume 28 extends between the vibration damper 29 and the seal 23, which is open toward the receptacle 27 or coincides at least in sections with the latter. The vibration damper 29 is preferably arranged on a holder 31 which surrounds the contact receptacle 3 in the circumferential direction U. In order to prevent vibration damper 29 from slipping off holder 31, holder 31 has a seat 35 for vibration damper 29, which is formed as a groove 33 running in circumferential direction U or as a circumferential groove running transversely to plug-in direction S.The holder 31 preferably terminates flush with the front side 7 or with the connector face 9. In the plug-in direction S, the holder 31 can project at least a certain distance into the receptacle 27. It is also possible for the vibration damper 29 to likewise be arranged at least in sections in the receptacle 27.In a plugged-together state, a mating plug is arranged at least in sections between the housing outer wall 11 and the vibration damper 29. In this case, the vibration damper 29 preferably bears continuously on the counter support in the circumferential direction U. The vibration damper 29 can in this case bear like a seal against the mating plug or the part of the mating plug, but does not fulfil a sealing function. This is discussed with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4.The plug 1 can also include a spacer 37 which, in the assembled state, is arranged behind the holder 31 of the vibration damper 29 starting from the plug face 9 as seen in the plug-in direction S. The spacer 37 can serve for positioning the holder 31. At the same time, the spacer 37 serves for positioning the contact elements 5.A vibration damper 29 according to the invention and the associated holder 31 are described below with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. As already explained with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the holders 31 and the vibration damper 29 are each formed continuously in the circumferential direction U and can surround the contact receptacle 3 in an assembled state, as shown in FIG. 4.The holder 31 is preferably formed from a material which is more rigid than the material of the vibration damper 29. The holder 31 can have latching elements 39 which extend in the plug-in direction S from the plug face 9 in the direction of the rear side 19 and can serve for latching to the housing 13 or the contact receptacle 3. The holder 31 has a groove structure formed by grooves 41 and ribs 43 forming the grooves 41 therebetween. Due to the groove structure, material and weight can be saved in the holder 31. The grooves 41 are parallel to the fitting direction S and are closed at the back of the holder 31.The vibration damper 29 preferably has two circumferential ribs 45 in the circumferential direction U, which ribs are formed monolithically with the remaining vibration damper 29. The two ribs 45 are arranged one behind the other as viewed in the plug-in direction S. The ribs 45 can abut on the mating connector in a state connected to a mating connector. The vibration damper 29 has a plurality of end ventilation openings 47. These extend into the ribs 45, so that the ribs 45 are interrupted locally by the end ventilation openings 47. Preferably, each of the ribs 45 has a row of ventilation openings 47 running circumferentially in the circumferential direction U, wherein the ventilation openings 47 of the two ribs 45 are arranged one behind the other in the plug-in direction S, so that an air flow running in the plug-in direction S can pass the ventilation openings 47 unimpeded. The ventilation openings 47 serve to allow air to escape from the interior of the plug 1, in particular from the uninstalled volume 28, when it is plugged together with a mating plug, so that the plugging together is not impeded. The vibration damping function of the vibration damper 29 is not impaired thereby.A position securing element 17 according to the invention is shown in FIG. 5. A position securing element 17 arranged in the receptacle 15 is illustrated in FIG. 6. The position securing element 17 can be inserted into the receptacle 15 along the plug-in direction S. It serves for securing a mating plug 49 connected to the plug 1, an upper part of which is shown in FIG. 6.The position securing element 17 extends along the plug-in direction S. It has an actuating section 51 which points in the direction of the rear side 19 of the plug when the position securing element 17 is arranged in the receptacle 15. From the actuating portion 51 two arms 53 extend in the plug-in direction S, which are provided at their free ends 55 with a respective extension 57. The arms 57 are offset outward from the position securing element 17 in the circumferential direction U by the arms 53 and extend from the arms 53 in the direction of the contact receptacle 3 when the position securing element 17 is arranged in the receptacle 15.The position securing element 17 also has a blocking element 59 which can be deflected in the direction of the contact receptacle 3 in order to hold a mating plug 49 on the plug 1.The structure of the receptacle 15 and the interaction with the position securing element 17 are described below with reference to FIG. 6. The receptacle 15 is formed in the housing outer wall 11. In the direction of the contact receptacle 3 (not shown in FIG. 6 ), the outer wall 11 is opened in order to receive ribs 61 of the mating plug 49. The outer wall 11 is opened by slots 63 which run substantially parallel to the plug-in direction S.Two wedges 65 lying opposite one another in the circumferential direction U are arranged in the receptacle 15. The wedges 65 are formed monolithically with the housing outer wall 11. They extend in the plug-in direction S and become wider toward the plug face 9. In this case, the wedges 65 each widen in the direction of the opposite wedge 65. that is to say, the receptacle 15 becomes narrower in the region of the wedges 65 from the rear side 19 in the direction of the plug face 9.Each wedge 65 is assigned a shoulder 67 opposite it, so that a slot 63 is arranged between a shoulder and a wedge. The shoulders 67 serve to support the ribs 61 of the mating plug 49.If a mating connector 49 is connected to the connector 1, the position securing element 17 can be inserted into the receptacle 15 along the plug-in direction S. For this purpose, it is moved from the rear side 19 in the direction of the connector face 9. During this, the arms 57 move along the wedges 65. The wedge shape moves the arms 57 towards each other. In the process, they press against the ribs 61 of the mating plug 49 and press them against the shoulders 67, and as a result, the ribs 61 are clamped in the receptacle 15 and a movement in the circumferential direction of the mating plug 49 is prevented. This measure can form an additional vibration protection. At the same time, the position securing element 17 also performs the known tasks of such an element by the blocking element 59 being pressed in the direction of the mating connector 49 by a securing element 69 located in the receptacle 15. When the position securing element 17 is inserted into the receptacle 15, the blocking member 59 slides along a run-on slope 71 of the securing element 69 and is deflected in the direction of the contact receptacle 3.Support members 73 according to the present invention will be described below with reference to FIG. 2. At the rear end or the rear side 19 of the plug 1 opposite the plug face 9, the plug 1 has two supporting members 73, which support seals 75 arranged between the plug face 9 and the supporting members 73.The seals 75 are pressurized and compressed by the support members 73. At their ends facing the connector face 9, the seals 75 are held by retaining clips 76 of the contact elements 5. The seals 75 are thus clamped between the housing 13 and the supporting members 73.The support elements 73 are substantially sleeve-shaped so that a uniform pressure can be exerted on the seals 75 in the circumferential direction U. In order to distribute the pressure uniformly over the seals 75 and in order to prevent the rubber-elastic seals 75 from slipping off the supporting members 73, disc-shaped pressure distribution members 78 are arranged between the supporting members 73 and the seals 75, which members can distribute the pressure of the supporting members 73 uniformly over the seals 75.The support members 73 are preferably formed monolithically with the two-part cover 21. Each half 21 aand 21 bof the two-part cover 21 can have a part of the support elements 73. The cover 21 is locked to the rear end 81 of the housing 13. For this purpose, the housing 13 has latching noses 83 which extend away from the housing 13 transversely to the plug-in direction S.The cover 21 has a first latching nose receptacle 85 and a second latching nose receptacle 87 for each latching nose 83. The first latching lug receptacle 85 defines a storage position (not shown) of the cover 21 on the housing 13, and the second latching lug receptacle 87 (shown in FIG. 2 ) defines an end position of the cover 21 on the housing. The latching lug receptacles 85 and 87 can be present in both halves 21 aand 21 bof the cover 21 or only in one of the two halves. For assembly, first half 21 bof cover 21 is placed on housing 13 until locking noses 83 are arranged in the two first locking receptacles 85. In this case, the supporting members 73 or the parts of the parts of the supporting members 73 distributed half-way over the two cover halves 21 aand 21 balso penetrate into the housing 13. Subsequently, the second half 21 aof the cover 21 is connected to the half 21 band the assembled cover 21 is moved further in the plug-in direction S until the latching noses 83 are arranged in the second latching nose receptacles 87. Then, the end position for the cover 21 is reached. In the final position, the supporting members press against the pressure distributing members 78.Due to the clamping or compression, the seals 75 cannot move freely and likewise serve to prevent vibration for the plug 1.The seals 75 are preferably arranged around lines 77 which can lead to the contact elements 5. The lines 77 thus extend through the seals 75; likewise, the supporting members 73 have line passages 79, which are formed by openings in the supporting members 73. The supporting elements 73 thus surround the lines 77 transversely to the plug-in direction S.Reference numerals denote reference numerals1 Plug 3 contact receptacle 5 contact element 7 front side of the plug 9 plug face 11 housing outer wall 13 housing 15 receptacle 17 position securing element 19 rear side of the plug 21 cover 21 a, 21 b Hälften of the cover 23 Seal 25 Outer wall of the contact receptacle 27 Receptacle for counterplug 28 Volume 29 Vibration damper 31 Holder 33 Groove 35 Seat 37 Spacer 39 Latching means 41 Groove 43 Rib of the holder 45 Rib of the vibration damper 47 Vent opening 49 Counterplug 51 Actuating section 53 Arm 55 Free end 57 Cantilever 59 Blocking member 61 Rib 63 Slot 65 Wedge 67 Shoulder 69 Securing element 71 Run-on slope 73 Supporting element 75 Seal 76 Holding clips 77 Line 78 Pressure distributing elements 79 Line passage 81 Rear end of the housing 83 Latching lugs 85 First latching lug receptacle 87 Second latching lug receptacle U Circumferential direction S Plug-in direction
