Description

[0001] The invention relates to a furniture pull-out with a pull-out folding table supported on pull-out guides, which has a base plate held on the pull-out guides and an extension plate which is pivotally connected to the base plate and can be folded back onto the base plate, and with a front panel which is movably connected to the free ends of the pull-out guides such that it can be transferred from an upright position into a lowered position, after which the extension plate can be folded out so that it covers the front panel.

[0002] A furniture pull-out of this type, which can be used in cupboard furniture, for example, is known from EP 3 020 306 B1. The extension panel is connected to the front edge of the base panel via a hinge. In the extended, ready-to-use position, both panels lie in a common plane, so that together they form a tabletop which is located in front of the front of the furniture body and is held on telescopic guides that can be pulled out from the body. The front panel is connected to the pull-out guides via hinges and folds down into a lowered position below the tabletop. When the table is to be stored in the body, the extension panel is folded back 180° onto the base panel so that it lies flat on the base panel. After the front panel has been swivelled into the upright position, both panels are then pushed back into the interior of the body together with the telescopic extensions.

[0003] The object of the invention is to create a furniture pull-out of this type which offers increased ease of use.

[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention in that the front panel is held in the upright position by a latch which is coupled to the pull-out folding table by a coupling mechanism in such a way that it releases the front panel during the unfolding movement of the extension plate.

[0005] When the table is not extended, the opening in the front of the cabinet through which the table is extended is neatly closed by the front panel. Once the table is extended and the extension leaf is unfolded, the front panel automatically unlocks, allowing it to be lowered and out of the way of the extension leaf as it reaches its horizontal position during the further unfolding movement.

[0006] Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

[0007] The front panel can be hinged to the pull-out guides so that it can be folded down, but could also be arranged so that it can be moved vertically.

[0008] In one embodiment, when unlocked, the front panel automatically folds into an approximately horizontal position under its own weight.

[0009] The coupling mechanism can be formed by a lever that pivots about an axis fixed relative to the front ends of the extension guides. At one end, a hook is formed, which locks onto a catch located on the front panel and is elastically preloaded into the locking position. To release the lock, an actuating cam is formed on the extension plate, which pushes the lever into the unlocked position against the spring force when the extension plate is folded out.

[0010] In the following, an embodiment is explained in more detail using the drawing.

[0011] They show: Fig. 1 to 3 side views of the furniture pull-out in different positions; and Fig. 4 a perspective view of a cabinet with the furniture pull-out according to the invention in the position according to Fig. 3.

[0012] In Fig. Figure 1 shows a cabinet with a body 10, which is formed in a known manner by side walls 12, a front panel 14, a cover panel 16, and a rear wall (not shown). The front panel 14 ends slightly below the lower edge of the cover panel 16, creating an opening 18 through which a pull-out folding table 20 can be pulled out of the body 10.

[0013] The extendable folding table 20 has a multi-part, in the example shown, two-part tabletop 22, which is supported on a support 24 that can be extended from the body 10. In the example shown, the support 24 is formed by a multi-stage telescopic extension and has an extension guide 26 on each side.

[0014] The table top 20 is formed by a base plate 28 and an extension plate 30, which are connected to each other by a hinge 32. In the Fig. 1, the extension plate 30 is folded back onto the base plate 28, which is supported on the penultimate step of the pull-out guides 26.

[0015] A front panel 34 takes up Fig. 1 assumes an upright position in which it projects upwards above the extension plate 30. Two hinges 36 connect the front panel 34 to the free ends of the two extension guides 26 so that it can pivot about a horizontal axis.

[0016] In the Fig. In the state shown in Figure 1, the extension guides 26 are fully extended. The base plate 28 has a raised edge 38 at the rear edge, which in this position is flush with the front panel 14 of the cabinet and fills the opening 18 above the base plate 28.

[0017] The tabletop 22 is held at the penultimate stage of the extension guides 26. The two rails that form the last stage of the extension guides 26 are connected to each other by a cross member 40. This cross member carries a bearing block in the center between the two extension guides, which forms a pivot axis 42 for a lever 44. The lever 44 extends with a longer arm toward the front panel 34 and forms a hook-shaped latch 46 at the end, which engages behind a catch 48 attached to the inside of the front panel 34. In this way, the front panel 34 is locked in the upright position.

[0018] At the opposite end, the lever 44 forms a shorter arm, which is pulled downwards by a spring 50 attached to the bearing block, so that the bolt 46 is preloaded into the locking position. The pivoting range of the lever 44 in a clockwise direction in Fig. 1 is limited by a stop 52 formed on the shorter arm, which is supported on the upper side of the cross member 40.

[0019] The longer arm of the lever 44 forms a cam 54 in a position below the hinge 32 of the table top 22. An actuating block 56 is attached to the top of the extension plate 30 at this point.

[0020] In order to transfer the table top 22 into the ready-to-use position, the extension plate 30 is folded out by 180° around the axis of the hinge 32, as shown in Fig. 2. The actuating block 56 presses on the cam 54 and pivots the longer arm of the lever 44 downwards against the force of the spring 50, so that the latch 46 releases the catch block 48. The front panel 34 can then pivot forwards about the axis of the hinges 36 and falls under its own weight into an approximately horizontal position, as shown in Fig. 3. The hinges 36 can be designed to limit the pivoting range and dampen the pivoting movement of the front panel in the final phase.

[0021] In this way, the front panel 34 comes into a position in which it lies completely below the level of the base plate 28, so that the extension plate 30 can be completely folded out into a position flush with the base plate, in which it covers the front panel 34 and its fastening clamp 48.

[0022] The hinge 32 of the table top 22, which is only shown schematically in the drawing, can have hinge parts which are recessed into the edges of the base plate 28 and the extension plate 30 and define a virtual hinge axis in the plane of the upper surface of the base plate 28, so that the upper sides of the base plate and the extension plate in the Fig. 3 form a continuous surface.

[0023] In Fig. 4, the body 10 and the extendable folding table 20 are in the Fig. 3 is shown in perspective. The mechanism formed by the lever 44 and the actuating block 56 is then located invisibly on the underside of the table top 22.

[0024] If the pull-out folding table 20 is to be stored back in the body 10, starting from the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the extension plate 30 is first folded back onto the base plate 28. The front panel 34 is then pivoted into the upright position, whereby the catch 48 runs onto a run-up slope of the bolt 46 and initially pivots the lever 44 further downwards until the catch engages in the locking position and the Fig. 1 is reached. The pull-out rails 26 can then be pushed in until the opening 18 of the body is closed by the front panel 34.

[0025] In another embodiment, the pivot axis 42 for the lever 44 could also run vertically. The actuating block 56 would then have an inclined surface with which it pushes the lever sideways out of the locking position.
