Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for securing a screw nut on a shaft of a transmission of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1. In motor vehicle transmissions, nuts mounted on shafts, such as pinion nuts, are used, for example, to axially fix bearings. However, these nuts can loosen over time, leading to detrimental wear. To prevent this, it has been suggested to secure the nuts using thread-locking adhesives; however, despite these measures, the nuts can still loosen completely. US Patent 4,090,545 A discloses a locking device for securing a nut mounted on a shaft. The nut has several radially projecting tabs, each with an internally threaded bore extending parallel to the shaft and equidistant from one another. A curved wrench is also provided, featuring two bores spaced the same distance apart as the two bores in the nut. Between these bores, the wrench has a projecting tab extending radially inward. The wrench is positioned so that the protruding tab engages a groove in the shaft and the two bores align with two bores in the nut. The wrench is then screwed onto the nut via these aligned bores, thus locking the nut. The present invention is based on the objective of providing a device for securing a screw nut on a shaft of a motor vehicle transmission. This problem is solved by the features of claims 1 and 3. Further embodiments and advantages are described in the dependent claims. Accordingly, a device for securing a nut to a shaft of a motor vehicle transmission is proposed, comprising an annular locking plate with a radially inner annular section and a radially outer annular section through which the shaft passes. The locking plate is arranged such that the nut is positioned axially between the inner and outer annular sections of the locking plate, or between the inner or outer annular section of the locking plate and a component connected to the outer or inner annular section of the locking plate and non-rotatably connected to the shaft. The non-rotatably connected component can, for example, be a bearing. In a first embodiment of the invention, the inner ring disc section is connected to the shaft in the assembled state, wherein the outer ring disc section is bent over in the assembled state and connected to the shaft or to a component non-rotatably connected to the shaft, such that the screw nut is arranged axially between the inner ring disc section and the outer ring disc section of the locking plate or between the inner ring disc section of the locking plate and the component connected to the outer ring disc section of the locking plate and non-rotatably connected to the shaft. In a further development of the invention, the screw nut is axially considered between the inner ring disc section and the outer ring disc section of the locking plate or between the inner ring disc section of the locking plate and the component connected to the outer ring disc section of the locking plate and rotationally fixed to the shaft - optionally under preload. In this case, the inner and / or outer ring disc section of the locking plate has several radially extending tabs which engage in corresponding grooves of the shaft or the component connected to the shaft in a rotationally fixed manner to secure the locking plate. Alternatively, it can be provided that the axially viewed central part of the locking plate has a thread for operative connection with the internal thread of the screw nut and is arranged on the shaft, wherein the inner and outer ring disc sections are bent in the assembled state, such that the screw nut is arranged axially between the inner ring disc section and the outer ring disc section of the locking plate or between the inner or outer ring disc section of the locking plate and a component connected to the outer or inner ring disc section of the locking plate and rotationally fixed to the shaft. In this embodiment, it can preferably be provided that the inner and / or outer ring disc section of the locking plate has several radially extending tabs which engage in corresponding grooves of the shaft or of the component non-rotatably connected to the shaft for fastening the locking plate. The inventive design ensures that the screw nut does not loosen with minimal design effort. The invention is explained in more detail below by way of example with reference to the attached Figs. 1 and 2, which each show a schematic sectional view to illustrate an embodiment of the invention. Figure 1 shows a shaft 1 of a motor vehicle transmission, which is arranged in a housing 4. A nut 2 with an internal thread is arranged on the shaft 1, which engages in an external thread of the shaft 1. Furthermore, a bearing 3 is arranged on the shaft 1 to support the shaft 1 in the housing 4 in a rotationally fixed manner. According to the invention and with reference to Fig. 1, a device 5 for securing the screw nut 2 on the shaft 1 is proposed, which has an annular locking plate 5 through which the shaft 1 is guided, which in the assembled state is arranged such that the screw nut 2 is arranged axially between the inner annular disc section 6 of the locking plate 5 and the bearing 3 which is connected to the outer annular disc section 7 of the locking plate 5 and is rotationally fixed to the shaft 1. In this arrangement, the radially inner ring disc section 6 is connected to the shaft 1 in the assembled state, while the outer ring disc section 7 is bent over and connected to the bearing 3, which is non-rotatably connected to the shaft 1. The inner and outer ring disc sections 6, 7 can have several radially extending tabs that engage in corresponding grooves in the shaft 1 and the bearing 3, which is non-rotatably connected to the shaft 1, to secure the locking plate 5. In the example shown in Fig. 2, a device 5 for securing the screw nut 2 on the shaft 1 is shown, which has an annular locking plate 5 through which the shaft 1 is guided, wherein the axially viewed central part 8 of the locking plate 5 has a thread for operative connection with the internal thread of the screw nut 2 and is arranged on the shaft 1. As can be seen from Fig. 2, the inner and outer ring disc sections 6, 7 of the locking plate 5 are bent in the assembled state, such that the screw nut 2 is arranged axially between the outer ring disc section 7 of the locking plate 5 and the bearing 3 which is connected to the inner ring disc section 6 of the locking plate 5 and is non-rotatably connected to the shaft 1.
