[1] Display device, comprising: a touch screen (14); a display control section (38) configured to display an icon (56, 58, 60, 62) on the touch screen (14) in cases where an input operation has been performed using a first operation section (52) displayed on the touch screen (14) or a second operation section (54) provided on the touch screen (14), the icon (56, 58, 60, 62) corresponding to an instruction resulting from the input operation using the first operation section (52) or the second operation section (54); and a prohibition section (40) configured to prohibit the display of the icon (56, 58, 60, 62) by the display control section (38) in cases where a specific condition has been met, wherein cases where the specific condition has been satisfied include cases where an instruction equivalent to an input operation using the first operation section (52) or the second operation section (54) has been performed by an operation different from the input operation using the first operation section (52) or the second operation section (54). [2] The display device according to claim 1, wherein cases where the specific condition has been satisfied include cases where predetermined high priority information (64, 66, 68, 70) is displayed on the touch screen (14). [3] A display device according to claim 2, wherein: the touch screen (14) is provided within a vehicle cabin of a vehicle; and the predetermined high-priority information (64, 66, 68, 70) corresponds to an image (64) of a surroundings of the vehicle which is captured by an imaging section (18). [4] The display device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the operation other than the input operation using the first operation section (52) or the second operation section (54) corresponds to a voice input operation. [5] The display device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the operation other than the input operation using the first operation section (52) or the second operation section (54) corresponds to an input operation using a switch (22) provided on an input device other than the touch screen (14). [6] Display device according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein: the display control section (38), in cases where an input operation is performed to move a slider (52B) having a movable display position on the touch screen (14) as an input operation using the first operation section (52), moves the display position of the corresponding icon (60) on the touch screen (14) to follow the movement of the slider (52B). [7] Display device according to one of claims 1 to 6, wherein: the display control section (38), in cases where an icon (56, 58) having an arrow is displayed on the touch screen (14), progressively shifts a display position of the arrow within the icon (56, 58) along a direction in which the arrow points. [8] Display device according to one of claims 1 to 7, wherein: the first operating section (52) has at least one virtual button (52) displayed on the touch screen (14). [9] Display device according to one of claims 1 to 8, wherein: the second operating section (54) has at least one rotary switch (54) provided on the touch screen (14).
