Abstract

Foldable, stable board game with compartments on the back of the playing field (11) instead of cardboard packaging characterized by the following features: a) The foldable, stable playing field consists of two parts, the upper part of the playing field (1) and the lower part of the playing field (2). b) When folded, the upper playing field section (1) and lower playing field section (2) lie directly adjacent to each other with their playing field surfaces. Their parallel folding edges (4) are almost touching and are connected by hinges (5) on the left and right sides of the playing field. Thanks to the hinges (5), both playing field sections (1, 2) can be folded together at the parallel folding edges (4) on the playing field side. c) On the back of each playing field section (1, 2), a continuous rectangular frame (7) reinforces the edges lengthwise and crosswise. For play, the two playing field sections (1, 2) can be firmly screwed together in the unfolded position using two screws through holes (15) in the frame (7) of the folding edge surfaces (14a, 14b). d) The two playing field parts (1, 2) are folded up and stand parallel to each other on the bases (6), ie on the left (or right) lower playing field frame surfaces - if necessary stabilized with weights (9) in the frame area of the bases (6). e) Compartment panels (10) are attached to the back of the frame (7) of each game board section (1, 2) in such a way that, when the board game is in upright position, they cut out the upper section of the framed surface and form closed compartments (11) except for the open, recessed upper section. These contain all the game equipment – cardboard packaging for board games is no longer necessary. By installing longitudinal and transverse struts (12), the number and size of the compartments per game board section (1, 2) can be varied, and the compartment volume can be adjusted based on the thickness of the frame (7) and the height of the compartment panels (10).

Description

Board games with playing field are sold in carton packages containing the playing field and the other playing items: monopoly, scratchble, human ager like not, steamross, scotland yard, The Chestan stemen riders and many others. However, for a few board games (including Schach, Halma and Dame), there are also foldable versions with rear-playing compartments for storing utensilias, which can be found under the following document designations:US 2009 / 0 079 132 A1,JP H05 91 762 U,U.S. Pat. No. 2,946,592 A,US 636 663 A andDE 20 2012 001 565 U1.The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of fundamentally avoiding cardboard packaging for board games with a field of play. This problem is solved by means of the features set out in claim 1. The foldable playfield consists of two parts, the playfield upper part and the playfield lower part.Ready for play in the folded-open state, the top and bottom of the playing field lie directly against one another at their parallel lying folding edges and are connected to the outside on the left and right in the playing surface by hinges. Due to the hinges, both playfield parts can be folded together on the playfield side at the parallel folding edges. On the rear side of each playfield part, a continuous four-cornered frame is reinforced on the outside longitudinally and transversely to the edges. For the play function, the two playfield parts can be screwed firmly together in the unfolded state by two screws through holes in the frame of the folding edge surfaces (see below). In the folded state, the top and bottom playing areas are directly adjacent to each other with their playing area and are stabilized on the standing surfaces, i.e. on the left (or right) lower playing area frame surfaces-if necessary by means of weight(s) in the frame region of the standing surfaces. On the frame of each board part, compartment plates are attached on the rear side of the board so that, in the case of a standing board game, they save the upper region of the framed surface and form compartments which are closed apart from the open, recessed upper region. These contain all the game items. By means of the installation of longitudinal and transverse struts, the number and size of the compartments per playfield part can be varied and the compartment volume can be adapted on the basis of the frame thickness and compartment plate height. The advantages of the invention are that carton packages no longer have to be produced for board games, since the playing field itself contains all the game pieces in the rear compartments of the playing field. The collapsed playfield is located next to, behind or in shelves, cabinets and the like. Pieces of furniture, wherein the name train of the board game remains well visible (described below). An advantageous embodiment of the invention is specified in claim 2. The aspect ratio of the top to bottom of the playing field is approximately 11 to 10, so that the name train of the board game at the head of the top of the playing field is partially concealed by the shorter bottom of the playing field when it is folded together. However, the name train remains completely readable on account of the supplementary inscription of the playing field foot area (that is to say the frame area at the foot of the lower playing field part). In the play function-i.e. in the unfolded state of the board game-a frame surface is located "behind" each of the two folding edges: the folding edge surface. The two folding edge surfaces are visible only in the folded state and are labelled with the name train of the board game in addition to one another. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and is described in more detail below. They show FIG. 1 shows the MEGAscrab game in the game function laid open (scale 1:5), FIG. 2 shows the MEGAscrab game folded together (scale 1:4), FIG. 3 shows the upper half of the flow chart of the procedure for the (pre)letten letter bag of the new game MEGAscrab, and FIG. 4 shows the lower half of the flow chart of the procedure for the (pre)letten letter bag of the new game MEGAscrab. The explanation and operation of the invention according to patent claims 1 and 2 follows with reference to the new cross-word-type board game MEGAscrab.FIG. 1 shows the new cross-word-stick-like board game MEGAscrab in the game function, laid open (scale 1:5).The foldable, stationary playfield consists of two parts: the playfield upper part (1) and the playfield lower part (2).The name train of the board game (3) can be seen at the head of the top playfield (1). The two playing field parts lie with their folding edges (4) directly against one another and are connected to one another by means of two hinges (5) which are mounted on the left and right in the playing field surface very close to the outer edge (or are integrated in the region of the outer edge in the playing field). At the rear of the playfield, a continuous square frame (7) is reinforced on the outside longitudinally and transversely to the edges. As a result, the two playfield parts (1, 2) can be folded together on the playfield side at the parallel folding edges (4) as a result of the two hinges (5) and can be placed on the standing surfaces (6), that is to say the left-hand (or right-hand) lower playfield frame surfaces. The playing field foot area ( 8), i.e. the frame area at the foot of the playing field lower part ( 2), is additionally labeled with the name train of the board game (see FIG. 2 ).FIG. 2 shows the stationary MEGAscr play (scale 1:4) folded together at the folding edges (4) on the basis of the two hinges (5).The edges of the top (1) and bottom (2) of the playing field are reinforced longitudinally and transversely on the rear side of the playing field by a continuous rectangular frame (7). The two playfield parts (1, 2) are folded together at the hinges (5) and stand parallel to one another on the standing surfaces (6), i.e. the frame surfaces on the playfield left side which can be clearly seen in FIG. 1. Spacers (not shown) prevent direct contact of the playfield parts. If necessary, the stability can be stabilized with weights (9) integrated in the footprint area--in FIG. 2, only one weight (9) is shown in the area of the footprint (6) of the playing field lower part (2).On the frame (7) of each playfield part (1, 2) are mounted shelf plates (10) in such a way that they save the upper area of the framed surface and form compartments (11) closed except for the open, relieved upper area. The construction of the compartments can be varied: with cross braces (12), further compartments can be formed and with longitudinal braces compartments can be divided-in the present playfield version two compartments (11) per playfield part were constructed with one cross brace (12) and two compartment plates (10). In FIG. 1, all four compartment plates can be seen at the rear of the playing field, but have not been provided with reference numerals in order not to obscure the figure. The volume of the compartments (11) is adapted to the volume required for the game implements on the basis of the variability of the thickness of the frames (7) and the height of the compartment plates (10), wherein the compartment plate height determines the height of the recesses. By means of hooks (13) which are fastened to the frame (7) or to longitudinal or transverse struts (12) or--as in the present case--on the rear side of the playfield, bags, pockets and the like can be suspended in the compartments (11).The aspect ratio of top playfield part (1) to bottom playfield part (2) is approximately 11 to 10 and can be varied in the design depending on the frame strength and type size of the name train. When folded, the shorter bottom part (2) partially conceals the name train (3) at the head of the board game. Nevertheless, the name train ( 3) remains completely readable since the playing field foot area ( 8), i.e. the frame area at the foot of the playing field lower part ( 2), is additionally labeled. In the lying board game (see FIG. 1 ), the "behind" each of the two folding edges ( 4) lies one surface, the folding edge surface ( 14 aand 14 b). These two surfaces are only visible in the folded state; they are indicated at the top right and at the rear right (pointing to the rear right). These hinged edge surfaces (14a and 14b) are labelled with the name train of the board game in addition to one another. The frame of the folding edge surface (14a) of the bottom part (2) of the playfield has two bores (15) for two screws. The associated threads are located in the matching bores of the folding edge surface (14b) of the playfield upper part (1), so that the playfield can be firmly screwed (horizontally) for the play function.FIG. 3 shows the upper half of the flow chart of the procedure for the (pre)lett letter bag for ascertaining the (theoretical) sequence sum and the number sum as part of the game instruction of the new game MEGAscrab.FIG. 4 shows the lower half of the flow chart of the procedure for the (pre)lett letter bag for ascertaining the (theoretical) sequence sum and the number sum as part of the game instruction of the new game MEGAscrab. The advantages of the invention are that carton packaging for board games with playing field is no longer necessary. All the game pieces are located in the rear compartments of the game piece hinged on the two hinges on the rear side of the game piece. The folded, stationary playing field stands next to, behind or in shelves, cabinets and the like, wherein the name train of the board game remains well visible. The number and size of the compartments are variable: additional compartments are formed with cross braces and compartments are divided with longitudinal braces. The volume of the compartments is adapted to the volume required for the game implements by means of frame thickness and compartment plate height, wherein the height of the recesses is determined with the compartment plate height. Bags, pockets and the like can be suspended in the compartments on hooks (fastened to the frame or to cross braces or on the rear side of the playfield). For the play function (lying), the top and bottom playfield parts can be firmly screwed together by means of the bores (and threads) in the folding edge surfaces.List of reference numbers:1 Top playfield part 2 Bottom playfield part 3 Name train of board play 4 Folding edge 5 Hinge 6 Standing surface 7 Frame 8 Playfield foot surface 9 Weight 10 Compartment plate 11 Compartment 12 Cross strut 13 Hooks 14 aand 14 b Folding edge surfaces 15 BoreTo explain the invention further below, the BRIEF-CONNECTION1TUNG of the new model cross-word-stick-type board game MEGAscrab. The MEGAscrab game - briefly summarized:The MEGAscrSpiel field consists of 1,085 fields: 31x31 fields plus 4x31 fields outside. There are 333 fields of double or triple words or letter scoring - arranged in parallel diagonals and with 24 word scoring blocks. The MEGAscrab game contains 3x111 letters plus 111 letters for trained persons. They have 22 letters, apply three words in the six-phase game train, and occupy at least two word scoring fields with them, so that they achieve the six-fold (or four-fold) word scoring factor. They add the letter values of their three words (with the book scores) and calculate the word score, which multiplied by the (six times) word score factor yields the total score and is summed up to the (new) score in each further game stroke. At the end of the game, the highest score player is the MEGAscrab winninger.Further Rules of PlayLetter Rules: No player must have more than two high-quality letters (eight and nine dots) and no player must have two identical high-quality. Each player must only have at most one free stone. Letter exchanges: After pronunciation with co-players, at most two letters may be exchanged in the third phase of the game train.Exposure Blocks Set and Break in: An exposure block must be set from 4, two exposures must be set from 7 and three and from 10 letters. In the third phase of the game train, after the book, at most 2 free stones are allowed to be released from the MEGAscrSpiel field. Outer area: the 4x31 half fields at the edge of the playfield may only be occupied by the first or last letter of a word; additional words do not count here. Letter bonus: Who places every 22 letters obtains 111 bonus points. Word Change: The player places letters on an already placed word and thus changes the meaning of the word - all character scoring fields count. Additional word: When the (three) words are placed, an additional word is produced which is included in the calculation of the word score.By-word: When the words are laid, an already laid word is expanded, for example, KPHER (plural figure) is expanded from KPHER. The sum of the letter values without scores is added to the total score, but a score field of the own letter is taken into account and the sum or product is added. Calculate remaining number and draw: add number of all non-laid letters and divide by the player number, achieve that remaining number in a letter-drawing manner, or approximate it.Introduction of PlayTake the game items from the compartments. Fold the MEGAscrSpiel field onto and screw the two screws on the rear into the recesses which connect the field parts. Place the MEGAscrabSpiel field on the table. Now, a font guide is selected. Then the take-off game machine sits at the foot of the MEGAscr playing field, takes a letter area, draws 22 letters from the TAKE-OFF bag and forms words; the players follow one after another in the clockwise direction. Each game train consists of six phases, the first three phases must be completed after 22 (twelve with increasing player experience) minutes.Round of Launch - the Six-Phase Game Train of the Launch Game InPlace the starting word; the starting game machine occupies the orange starting star field with a letter of the starting word. (All other game trains begin with the connection word.) Two words apply crosswords, neither no word nor one. The laid words are linked together; the words occupy at least two word scoring fields; in the case of word scoring blocks, only one of the occupied word scoring fields counts. The players looked at the words; the Take Off Player names their words; letter swaps; was everything properly occupied / laid? Jurisdiction? Corrections?!! Calculate total score; first, the player combines their word scoring fields into the word scoring factor. Then it calculates its (three) word values by adding up according to the letter values of the starting word and also those of its further words. It adds its word values and obtains its word score. This multiplies it by its word scoring factor and obtains its total score, e.g., 6x58=348. The maximum word scoring factor is six times (6x) and is obtained bythree fields with double word scoring; ortwo fields with triple word scoring;one field each being occupied by double and one field by triple words being occupied. Two fields with double word scoring yield the quadruple word scoring factor. In the case of word scoring blocks, only one of the occupied word scoring fields counts. Note calculation; the writer notes to the player the word scoring factor (6x) and the word score (58), and, with hatching, separately the total score ( / 348), e.g., 6x58 / 348.Draw letters until the player again has 22 letters; the player thereby considers the letter retrieval rules.Round of Launch - Further Game TrainsThe players sit successively at the foot of the MEGAscrSpiel field to play their six-phase game play. All further game trains begin with the connection word.Apply the connection word in the manner of a cross word to one or more letters already applied-also to a word: word change. Two words apply crosswords, neither no word nor one. The (three) laid words are connected together and may be connected to already laid letters and / or words: word change, add-on and subword; the crossword-linked words occupy at least two word scoring fields. The players looked at the words; the player names their words; Swap letters; Freest.; Get Right Busy / Laid? Legal Writing.? Corrections?!! Calculate total score; first, the player combines their word scoring fields into the word scoring factor. Then it calculates its (three) word values by adding according to the letter values of the connection word and also those of its further words. According to its word values, it adds its word score. This multiplies it by its word scoring factor u., obtains its total score, e.g. 6x58=348. Note calculation; the writer notes to the player the word scoring factor (6x) and the word score (58), and, with hatching, separately the total score (1348), e.g., 6x58 / 348.Draw letters until the player again has 22 letters; the player then considers the letter-retrieval rules (see above).Second round of playThe take-off game person performs his six-phase game play, sitting at the foot of the MEGAscr playing field, starting with the connection word; successively, the players play their six-phase game play. In the second round, in the fifth phase of the game train, the score is calculated and added: note calculation; the writer notes again to the player the word scoring factor, the word score, and, with a bar, separately the second total score; it adds the first and second total scores u. obtains the score which it adds, with a further bar, separately: e.g., 6x55 / 330 / 678.Further rounds of playThe starting game person initiates all game rounds, which follow the people, with his connection word in the six-phase game train, seated at the foot of the MEGAscrSpiel field. In the further rounds, the new score is calculated and added in the fifth phase of the game train:Note calculation; the writer notes again to the player the word scoring factor, the word score, and the new total score; adds the previous score and the new total score; and obtains the new score that he adds separately with hatching, e.g., 6x53 / 318 / 996.During the game, the players drag from the next bags GREEN and BLUE (and the trained last from the RED bag). As soon as a player first pulls letters from the last bag, the next word is selected for more than two players (each player notes the word that is the most attractive when viewed; discover: the most frequently selected word is predicted to be 333 points) and the players move according to the procedure shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, from 5 players, move this for the next last-to-last letter bag and from 9 players, already at the beginning of the game after this procedure. In the final round, only at least one word scoring field in the game train needs to be occupied. Only if each player plays a game train and each player then has more than two letters, there is a second round of completion. The sum of the values of the remaining letters of each player is finally subtracted from their score. The player with the HIGHEST SCORE is MEGAscr-WINNINGERIN!After completion of the game, they layer the (un)marked letters to five-door glasses and combine them in color-sorted manner. Place the respective 111 letters in full in the associated letter bag. Loosen the screws on the back of the MEGAscr playfield and fold them together. Hang the letter bags in their compartments and sort the further game items into their compartments.
