Abstract
Claims
[1] A computer-implemented method for detecting the movement of an object, the method comprising: Receiving a first set of output signal values and a second set of output signal values from an acoustic wave receiver, each output signal value in the first set and the second set being representative of an amplitude of an acoustic signal reflected from the object; Determining, based on the received first set and second set, a difference set including one or more difference values, each of the one or more difference values being representative of a difference between a first output signal value in the first set and a second output signal value in the second set; Determining whether the difference set satisfies a predetermined condition based on whether each difference value of the difference set has an amount that exceeds a predetermined threshold; and Output a motion detection signal when the difference set meets the predetermined condition. [2] The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the first set and the second set comprise the same number of output signal values. [3] The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein the first set and the second set are output as arrays from the acoustic wave receiver, and the first output signal value and the second output signal value have the same index in the arrays. [4] A computer-implemented method according to any preceding claim, wherein the sound wave receiver comprises an ultrasonic sensor. [5] A computer-implemented method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the sound wave receiver comprises an ultrasonic transducer. [6] A computer-implemented method according to any preceding claim, wherein the first set is output by the acoustic wave receiver earlier than the second set, and wherein the acoustic wave receiver does not output a signal value between the first set and the second set. [7] A computer-implemented method according to any preceding claim, further comprising: Determining the predetermined threshold based on at least one of a set of sizes of objects to be detected or a set of moving speeds of the objects to be detected. [8] A computer-implemented method according to any preceding claim, wherein the predetermined condition comprises that at least a predetermined number of the difference values in the difference set have amounts that exceed the predetermined threshold. [9] A computer-implemented method according to claim 8, further comprising: Determining the predetermined number based on at least one of a set of sizes of objects to be detected or a set of moving speeds of the objects to be detected. [10] The computer-implemented method of any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the predetermined condition comprises a portion of the difference set exceeding a predetermined percentage, the portion comprising difference values having amounts exceeding the predetermined threshold. [11] The computer-implemented method of claim 10, further comprising: Determining the predetermined percentage based on at least one of a set of sizes of objects to be detected or a set of movement speeds of the objects to be detected. [12] A device for detecting the movement of an object, the device comprising: an acoustic wave receiver configured to output a first set of output signal values and a second set of output signal values, each output signal value in the first set and the second set being representative of an amplitude of an acoustic signal reflected from the object; a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory configured to store instructions that, when executed by the processor, operate with the processor to: to receive the first sentence and the second sentence from the sound wave receiver; determine, based on the received first set and second set, a difference set including one or more difference values, each of the one or more difference values being representative of a difference between a first output signal value in the first set and a second output signal value in the second set; to determine whether the difference set satisfies a predetermined condition based on whether each difference value of the difference set has an amount that exceeds a predetermined threshold; and output a motion detection signal when the difference set meets the predetermined condition. [13] The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the first set and the second set comprise the same number of output signal values. [14] The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first set and the second set are output as arrays from the acoustic wave receiver, and the first output signal value and the second output signal value have the same index in the arrays. [15] Device according to one of claims 12 to 14, wherein the sound wave receiver comprises an ultrasonic sensor. [16] Device according to one of claims 12 to 14, wherein the sound wave receiver comprises an ultrasonic transducer. [17] The apparatus of any one of claims 12 to 16, wherein the first set is output by the sound wave receiver earlier than the second set, and wherein the sound wave receiver does not output any signal value between the first set and the second set. [18] The apparatus of any one of claims 12 to 17, wherein the memory further comprises instructions that, when executed by the processor, operate with the processor to: to determine the predetermined threshold based on at least one of a set of sizes of objects to be detected or a set of moving speeds of the object to be detected. [19] Apparatus according to any one of claims 12 to 18, wherein the predetermined condition comprises one of the following: at least a predetermined number of the difference values in the difference set have amounts that exceed the predetermined threshold; or a part of the difference rate exceeds a predetermined percentage, the part comprising difference values whose amounts exceed the predetermined threshold. [20] A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium containing instructions for detecting the movement of an object, the instructions, when executed by a processor, being operable by the processor to: receiving a first set of output signal values and a second set of output signal values from an acoustic wave receiver, each output signal value in the first set and the second set being representative of an amplitude of an acoustic signal reflected from the object; determine, based on the received first set and second set, a difference set including one or more difference values, each of the one or more difference values being representative of a difference between a first output signal value in the first set and a second output signal value in the second set; to determine whether the difference set satisfies a predetermined condition based on whether each difference value of the difference set has an amount that exceeds a predetermined threshold; and output a motion detection signal when the difference set meets the predetermined condition.
