Description

[0001] The invention relates to a device for handling trench shoring panels and carriages of trench shoring systems according to claim 1.

[0002] Trench excavation is known to utilize shoring systems to protect the trench and, in particular, the people within it. The walls of the excavated trench are supported with shoring panels. These panels are typically made of metal and are positioned between two horizontal linear beams. To support the trench on both sides, a shoring panel is assigned to each of the opposing trench walls. These shoring panels can be arranged parallel or slightly offset from one another. Designs using wooden shoring panels are also known. The dimensions of these panels can range from a few meters to many meters. For particularly deep or long trenches, several shoring panels are arranged one above the other or side by side.

[0003] To stabilize and secure the trench shoring panels, struts or carriages are arranged between them. These carriages serve to maintain a constant distance between two opposing trench shoring panels. Typically, two opposing linear beams are each connected to at least one, preferably two, carriages. For installation of the trench shoring system, it is conceivable that the carriages can be moved up and down in rails of the linear beams to assume a position that is particularly advantageous for stabilizing the system. Examples of these trench shoring systems are described in DE 40 34 456 A1 or DE 44 40 416 A1.

[0004] These types of trench shoring systems are typically positioned in the trenches using cranes or excavators. First, after the trench has been excavated, the linear beams are positioned, and then the shoring panels and carriages are inserted between them. This assembly is carried out step by step using the crane or excavator available on site. Dismantling the shoring system is performed in reverse order. The crane or excavator first removes the shoring panels and carriages from the linear beams, and then the linear beams themselves.

[0005] It has proven particularly problematic when space on the construction site is extremely limited, making access by crane or excavator difficult or even impossible. This poses a particular problem in historic city centers. In these situations, dismantling the shoring system becomes especially difficult and labor-intensive. In extreme cases, this can even render the use of shoring systems for securing trenches and personnel impossible.

[0006] The invention is based on the objective of creating a device for handling trench shoring panels and carriages of trench shoring systems that are particularly easy to use and require little effort.

[0007] A device for solving this problem has the features of claim 1. Accordingly, a device for handling trench shoring panels and / or carriages of trench shoring systems comprises at least one column on which at least one hydraulic cylinder is arranged. The column can be attached at one lower end to a linear support of the trench shoring system. The hydraulic cylinder is movably arranged at one upper end of the column. A free end of a hydraulic piston of the hydraulic cylinder can be detachably coupled to a trench shoring panel or a carriage via a coupling element. The device thus itself constitutes a unit that can be attached to the trench shoring system for handling the trench shoring panel and / or the carriages. A crane or excavator for handling the aforementioned components is therefore unnecessary. This device according to the invention makes it possible to secure excavated trenches regardless of local conditions. The claimed device allows the column to be easily coupled and uncoupled from the linear support of the trench shoring system. Furthermore, the invention provides that a hydraulic power unit for operating the at least one hydraulic cylinder is arranged on the column. This direct arrangement of the hydraulic power unit on the column allows the device to operate independently of any hydraulic drives of construction vehicles. The hydraulic power unit can include either an electric motor or a hydraulic pump, which are connected to the hydraulic cylinder via hydraulic hoses. The electric motor can be supplied with electrical energy via a simple electrical connection.

[0008] Preferably, the invention further provides that two columns are each equipped with a hydraulic cylinder and a hydraulic power unit, wherein the two columns can each be attached at their lower end to two opposing linear supports of the construction system and jointly handle a trench sheet or a carriage via the coupling elements of the two hydraulic cylinders. By attaching two columns to two opposing linear supports, the two hydraulic cylinders can move a trench sheet or a carriage in a coordinated manner. Through synchronized control of the hydraulic cylinders, the trench sheets can be pulled out of or moved into the linear supports in such a way that no jamming occurs within the linear supports.Similarly, the columns can be mounted on two opposing, differently arranged linear beams to synchronously pull a carriage in or out of the linear beam tracks. By using two columns with hydraulic cylinders, the task of cranes or excavators on the construction site can thus be taken over.

[0009] In particular, the invention provides that the hydraulic power units and / or the two hydraulic cylinders are connected to a control unit, which allows the hydraulic cylinders to be controlled synchronously. This control can be performed either directly manually at the control unit or wirelessly via a corresponding operating element or a control center located centrally on the construction site. This coordinated or synchronized control of the hydraulic power units or hydraulic cylinders allows the hydraulic cylinders to be controlled in such a way that the trench shoring panels or the carriage can be pulled out or pushed in without them becoming jammed within the linear beams. It is also conceivable that the hydraulic cylinders are equipped with sensors that detect any jamming of the trench shoring panels or the carriages and control the hydraulic cylinders accordingly to counteract this jamming.

[0010] Furthermore, it is conceivable that at least one column of the linear beam can be supported against a substrate. The support point of the device or the column is the lower end or a plate of the column, which can be placed on an upper side of the linear beam. Thus, the device uses the trench shoring system itself to generate a counterforce for pulling the shoring panels or carriages out of the linear beams. This allows the device to be handled regardless of the available space. Ultimately, no additional space is required beyond that which the trench shoring system already needs to support the trench walls. This makes the entire device particularly flexible and universally applicable.

[0011] A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the coupling elements of the hydraulic cylinders can each be connected to a chain or linkage to raise or lower the individual trench shoring panels or carriages. For dismantling the trench shoring system, the coupling elements of the hydraulic cylinders are connected to the aforementioned components with chains to pull them upwards out of the linear beam rails. Depending on the distance between the hydraulic cylinders and the trench shoring panels or carriages, the chain length can be lengthened or shortened. In particularly deep trenches, the chains must be advanced during the raising process, or the chain length must be successively reduced.Furthermore, it is also conceivable that, for the assembly of the shoring system, construction panels or carriages are connected to the hydraulic cylinders via a linkage, and that the linear beams are pressed downwards in rails by actuating the hydraulic cylinders. This makes the shoring system manageable during assembly regardless of space constraints or other construction machinery.

[0012] Furthermore, a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention may provide that a bracket, in particular an angled one, is arranged on the column, on which the hydraulic unit can be mounted. This direct arrangement of the hydraulic unit on the column allows the hydraulic force to be transmitted to the hydraulic cylinders particularly efficiently via hydraulic hoses. The bracket is rotatably mounted on the column about a pivot point. Thus, the bracket can be pivoted 90° about the pivot point relative to the column. By pivoting, the bracket can be locked to the column in two end positions using a fastening means, in particular a bolt.

[0013] The fact that the bracket is rotatably mounted to the column allows the hydraulic unit to be kept in a vertical orientation regardless of the column's relative position. This is particularly important to prevent hydraulic fluid from leaking out when the column is swiveled. If the hydraulic unit swivels out of the vertical position, the hydraulic fluid can leak out, rendering the entire unit inoperable. Especially when handling individual columns on the construction site and during transport, it is possible that the columns will be moved at an angle or horizontally. In these cases, it is essential to ensure that the bracket and hydraulic unit are always vertically aligned.

[0014] Another advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the pivot point of the console passes through the center of gravity of the column, the hydraulic cylinder, the console, and the hydraulic power unit. This positioning of the pivot point at the center of gravity allows the power unit to be rotated particularly easily relative to the column. The device is designed to be moved into a horizontal position for particularly space-saving transport. While the columns are horizontally aligned, the hydraulic power units are rotated so that they point vertically upwards. In this way, the cylinders / columns and the hydraulic power units can be transported in a particularly space-saving manner and with minimal stress on the entire system.

[0015] Furthermore, according to the invention, it is conceivable that the hydraulic cylinder has a means of locking it for transport, in particular a point with which the cylinder can be fixed to the column. Before transport, the hydraulic cylinder must therefore be screwed to the hydraulic cylinder via the clamp. This screw connection must be loosened again before commissioning the device. This prevents the hydraulic cylinder from unintentionally swinging out during transport or during installation of the device on the support system, which in the worst case could lead to personal injury.

[0016] It is also preferable that the column can be attached to a linear beam with at least one bolt and aligned relative to the linear beam by means of at least one screw. Experience has shown that it cannot be assumed that the linear beams are perfectly vertical and therefore the columns cannot be positioned vertically on the linear beams. However, since it is advantageous for handling the device if all columns are aligned vertically and / or parallel to each other, the column is equipped with bolts and screws that allow alignment relative to a horizontal and / or vertical plane. The use of bolts and screws allows operators on the construction site to perform this alignment quickly and easily.

[0017] A preferred embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figures. These show: Fig. 1. Perspective view of a device, Fig. 2 Side view of the device according to Fig. 1, Fig. 3 Side view of the device according to Fig. 1, Fig. 4. Illustration of the device with a mounting system, Fig. 5. Illustration of the device and of the shoring plates, and Fig. 6. Illustration of the device and a carriage.

[0018] The device 10 essentially consists of one or two columns 11, at the upper end 12 of which a hydraulic cylinder 13 is arranged, and a bracket 14, which is hinged to one side 15 of the column 11. A hydraulic power unit 16 with an electric motor 17 and a hydraulic pump 18 is arranged on this bracket 14. The hydraulic power unit 16 also has a control unit 19. The hydraulic power unit 16 is connected to the hydraulic cylinder 13 via hydraulic hoses 20. The [unclear text] Fig. As can be seen from the embodiment of the device 10 shown in Figure 1, the column 11 has protruding plates 22 at a lower end 21 with a bolt 23 and several adjusting screws 24.

[0019] The column 11 can be placed on linear supports 25 of a shoring system 26 at its lower end 21, and in particular at its plates 22, and secured with the bolts 23. The column 11 can be aligned using the adjusting screws 24. The individual adjusting screws 24 can be actuated until the column 11 is ideally aligned for the intended handling.

[0020] The hydraulic cylinder 13 has a coupling element 27 at one free end. This coupling element 27 allows the hydraulic cylinder 13 to be connected to a mounting plate 28 or a carriage 29 via a chain (not shown) or a linkage (not shown). At the opposite end of the hydraulic cylinder 13, it is rotatably connected to the upper end 12 of the column 11. To secure the hydraulic cylinder 13 to the column 11 during transport, the device 10 has a clamp 30 with which the hydraulic cylinder 13 can be fastened to the column 11, for example, by means of two screws.

[0021] The console 14 is rotatably mounted on the column 11 about a pivot point 31. During use of the device 10, however, the console 14 is secured against rotation relative to the column 11 by a bolt 32, which is, for example, spring-loaded and connected to the column 11. For the assembly or disassembly of the device 10, and especially for transport, the bolt 32 is loosened so that, regardless of the orientation of the column 11, the console 14, together with the hydraulic unit 16, can always remain in a vertical position. For example, the column 11 is transported in a horizontal position, while the console 14, together with the hydraulic unit 16, remains in its vertical position. Fig. The vertical position shown in Figure 1 remains unchanged. To make the relative rotation of the hydraulic unit 16 and the column 11 as simple as possible, the pivot point 31 is located at the center of gravity of the device 10.

[0022] The Fig. Figure 2 shows that the hydraulic cylinder 13 extends over at least half the length of the column 11 and is preferably 1100 mm long. An eyelet 33 is installed on the column 11 at the upper end 12 of the device 10 to allow the device 10 to be lifted, for example, by means of a crane. In the Fig. 2 and Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 3, the column 11 is attached to a plate 34 at its lower end 21 for illustrative purposes. It can be seen that the column 11 is secured to the plate 34 by the bolt 23. The column 11 can be adjusted relative to the plate 34 using the adjusting screws 24. When used with the shoring system 26, a linear support 25 of the shoring system 26 replaces the plate 34.

[0023] In the Fig. Figure 4 shows an example of how two columns 11 of the device 10 are arranged on linear supports 25 of a shoring system 26. Between the two linear supports 25, in the Fig. In the embodiment shown in section 4, a plurality of support plates 28 are shown, which are arranged parallel to one another in rails of the linear supports 25. While in the embodiment according to the Fig. 4. The left-hand column 11 is aligned such that a mounting plate 28 can be inserted at one end of the hydraulic cylinder 13, while the right-hand column 11 is aligned such that the hydraulic cylinder 13 can be coupled to a carriage 29. In the actual application of the device 10, the right-hand column 11 would also be in the Fig.4 such that the hydraulic cylinder 13 can grasp one end of the trench sheet 28. The two hydraulic power units 16 of the two columns 11 can be synchronized via their control units 19 such that the hydraulic cylinders 13 move synchronously and jointly pull a trench sheet 28 out of the trench sheet system 26 via a chain (not shown). To pull out trench sheets 28 located lower down, the length of the chains is first extended and then successively reduced, so that all trench sheets 28 of the trench sheet system 26 can be removed by the hydraulic cylinders 13, which are repeatedly extended and retracted.

[0024] The same applies when the carriage 29 is pulled out from two opposing linear beams 25. Here, too, the two columns 11 are arranged opposite each other and oriented such that they both engage one end of the same carriage 29 via a chain, and the carriage 29 is successively pulled out of the shoring system 26. It is also conceivable that the hydraulic cylinders 13 are connected to the carriage 29 or the shoring plates 28 by means of a linkage, and then, by applying a corresponding force, press these downwards into the rails of the linear beams 25, thus installing the shoring system 26.

[0025] The invention offers a particular advantage: the columns 11 of the device 10 are directly supported by the shoring system 26, eliminating the need for additional space on the construction site. A further advantage of the device 10 is that each column 11, or hydraulic cylinder 13, has its own hydraulic unit 16, thus eliminating the need for additional external hydraulic units. The individual devices 10 can therefore operate independently. Only the power supply for the control unit 19 and the electric motor 17 needs to be connected to the device 10. However, since temporary construction power is available on every construction site, this does not pose a problem.
