Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger car, with an air guidance device, according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] DE 10 2014 110 387 A1 discloses a wheel arch liner for a motor vehicle, comprising a hard component with air passages, and additional air passages in a soft component of the wheel arch liner. DE 10 2019 003 358 A1 discloses an active wheel spoiler for a vehicle, which is translationally adjustable, in particular extendable and retractable. The wheel spoiler has a structure of at least two parts, the individual parts of which can be extended or retracted independently of each other. Furthermore, DE 10 2019 006 675 A1 discloses an air guide device in the underbody area of a motor vehicle as known.
[0003] From DE 10 2017 103 890 a motor vehicle is shown with a front-facing diffuser open towards the ground, as well as with a device arranged in the area of the diffuser for changing the downforce of the motor vehicle in the area of a front axle, wherein a flow separation in the diffuser can be generated by means of the device.
[0004] German patent DE 10 2017 128 632 A1 discloses an active wheel spoiler system comprising a first wheel spoiler, a second wheel spoiler, and a control module. The control module includes a controller configured to move the first and second wheel spoilers between a retracted and an extended position.
[0005] Furthermore, DE 10 2010 055 639 A1 discloses a motor vehicle with a cooling air duct formed in its floor plate for supplying a wheel brake device of the motor vehicle with a cooling airflow. The cooling air duct is associated with an adjustable closing element in the form of a closing plate, which can be moved into a first operating position in which the cooling air duct is at least partially open, and further into a second operating position in which the cooling air duct is closed. In at least one operating position of the closing plate, it forms a wheel spoiler and projects beyond the floor plate.
[0006] Finally, WO 2017 / 098 106 A1 specifies a deflector device for the wheel of a motor vehicle. This comprises a deflector wall movably mounted on a support, which can be moved between a retracted position and an extended position.
[0007] The object of the present invention is to improve a motor vehicle of the type mentioned at the outset.
[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by a motor vehicle with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments with expedient further developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0009] The motor vehicle according to the invention, which is preferably designed as a passenger car and is also simply referred to as the vehicle, has an air guidance device with at least one wheel spoiler assigned to a wheel of the motor vehicle for guiding air that flows towards the wheel spoiler, for example, when the motor vehicle is traveling forward and is therefore airflow or results from airflow. Since the air flowing towards and around the wheel spoiler is guided, in particular in a targeted manner, by means of the wheel spoiler, the wheel spoiler is also referred to as an air guidance element. The vehicle wheel, also simply referred to as the wheel, is a ground contact element by means of which the motor vehicle can be supported or is supported downwards against a ground in the upward direction of the vehicle. If the motor vehicle is driven along the ground while the vehicle is supported downwards in the upward direction on the ground via the ground contact element (vehicle wheel), the vehicle wheel rolls, in particular directly, along the ground.
[0010] To achieve a particularly advantageous functionality of the air guidance device, the invention provides that the wheel spoiler has at least one or exactly one flow opening through which air flows, for example, during the aforementioned forward travel in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and thereby flows towards the wheel spoiler. This flow opening is also referred to as the first flow opening. When the term "flow opening" is used before and below, it refers, unless otherwise specified, to the first flow opening of the wheel spoiler. Furthermore, the wheel spoiler is associated with a cover element which, as will be explained in more detail below, is movable relative to the vehicle wheel (also simply referred to as the wheel) and relative to the wheel spoiler.Furthermore, the wheel spoiler is movable in the vehicle's vertical direction relative to the vehicle wheel between a retracted position, an extended position, and at least one intermediate position, also referred to as an intermediate position, which lies between or is arranged between the retracted and extended positions. The retracted position is the first position. The extended position is the second position. The intermediate position is the third position. When the terms "positions" are used before and after, unless otherwise specified, they refer to the first, second, and third positions of the wheel spoiler.
[0011] In the second position, the wheel spoiler is positioned further down in the vehicle's vertical direction compared to the retracted position. In this second position, the wheel spoiler is positioned in front of the vehicle's longitudinal direction, specifically such that a first section of the vehicle's longitudinal direction is overlapped forward by the wheel spoiler. In particular, it may be provided that a lower edge of the wheel spoiler, which terminates at the bottom edge in the vehicle's vertical direction positions, is positioned further down in the second position compared to the first position. Furthermore, it is provided that in the second position, the flow opening of the wheel spoiler is positioned in front of the vehicle's longitudinal direction, so that, for example, a portion of the first section is overlapped forward by the flow opening. In the first and second positions, the flow opening of the wheel spoiler is closed by means of the cover element, i.e., it is fluidically blocked, so that no air can flow through the flow opening.
[0012] In the third position (intermediate position), the wheel spoiler, in particular its lower edge, is positioned further down in the vehicle's vertical direction compared to the retracted position. In the third position, the wheel spoiler, in particular its lower edge, is positioned further up in the vehicle's vertical direction compared to the extended position. Furthermore, in the third position, the wheel spoiler is positioned in front of the vehicle's longitudinal direction, so that, for example, a second, smaller section of the vehicle's longitudinal direction is overlapped by the wheel spoiler. Additionally, in the third position, the airflow opening of the wheel spoiler is positioned in front of the vehicle's longitudinal direction, so that, for example, a portion of the second section is overlapped by the airflow opening. In the third position, the flow opening is open, allowing air, which flows to the rear in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle during forward driving and flows towards the wheel spoiler, to flow through the flow opening.
[0013] The wheel spoiler, particularly in the second and third positions compared to the first, can reduce and thus improve the vehicle's aerodynamic drag. However, if no countermeasures are taken, the wheel spoiler will block at least one supply area from receiving air. Furthermore, if no countermeasures are taken, the wheel spoiler may snag on the ground, tear off, or be damaged during parking maneuvers or off-road driving. Supplying air to the supply area, compared to blocking it, worsens aerodynamic drag but is usually only rarely needed. The invention now makes it possible to supply air to the supply area in the third position, since in this position the flow opening is open and thus allows air to flow through it, which can then be supplied to the supply area. For example, in the third position, the air resistance can be reduced compared to the first position. In the second position, the flow opening is fluidically blocked, so that, especially compared to the first and third positions, the air resistance of the vehicle is reduced, thus creating particularly advantageous aerodynamics. Since the wheel spoiler, especially its lower edge, is positioned higher in the vehicle's vertical direction in the first position than in the second and third positions, unwanted contact between the wheel spoiler and the ground on which the vehicle is driven can be avoided in the first position, thus preventing damage or destruction of the wheel spoiler. The wheel spoiler can therefore be moved between positions as needed, especially depending on the current driving situation or the current driving condition of the vehicle.
[0014] Since the cover element opens the flow opening in the third position and closes it in the second position, it is movable relative to, for example, the wheel spoiler (also simply called a spoiler) and the vehicle wheel, between an open position (opening the flow opening) and a closed position (closing the flow opening). This means that in the closed position, the flow opening is closed by the cover element, and in the open position, the cover element opens the flow opening. It is specifically designed that in the third position of the wheel spoiler, the cover element is in the open position, and in the second position of the wheel spoiler, the cover element is in the closed position. The closed and open positions are collectively referred to as the cover element positions.
[0015] For example, the air guide device includes an actuating device by means of which the wheel spoiler can be driven and thus moved between positions relative to the vehicle wheel, and locked or secured in the respective position relative to the vehicle wheel. In other words, it is preferably provided that the wheel spoiler can be locked or secured in the respective position relative to the vehicle wheel, so that an undesired movement of the wheel spoiler from one position to another relative to the wheel is prevented.Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the cover element can be locked or secured relative to the wheel spoiler and preferably also to the vehicle wheel, at least in the closed position and preferably also in the open position, so that any undesired movement of the cover element from the closed position and / or from the open position relative to the wheel spoiler and, for example, also relative to the wheel, is prevented. For example, the cover element can be driven by means of the actuating device and thereby moved between the closed position and the open position relative to the wheel spoiler and preferably also relative to the vehicle wheel, and can be locked or secured relative to the wheel spoiler and preferably also relative to the vehicle wheel, at least in the closed position and preferably also in the open position.Since the wheel spoiler can be moved between positions in the vehicle's vertical direction (z-direction) as needed, it is an active wheel spoiler. In the third position, the supply area can be supplied with air flowing through the airflow opening, resulting in improved aerodynamics compared to the first position. In the second position, the aerodynamics can be further improved compared to the first and third positions, while in the first position, the wheel spoiler is protected from damage. In particular, the vehicle can be driven with exceptional energy efficiency in the second position, thus enabling, for example, a longer vehicle range.
[0016] For example, in the third position, the flow opening is arranged in a brake air path through which the air flowing through the flow opening can flow. This air flowing through the brake air path, and thus through the flow opening, can be supplied to a brake of the vehicle, designed, for example, as a friction brake, for braking the vehicle wheel. The brake can be advantageously cooled by means of the air flowing through the brake air path, so that effective and demand-based cooling of the brake, also known as brake cooling, can be achieved. Thus, for example, the brake is located in or within the supply area.
[0017] To enable the wheel spoiler and the cover element to be moved in a particularly space-saving and cost-effective manner, one embodiment of the invention provides that the wheel spoiler and the cover element are kinematically coupled to each other via at least one actuating element, in particular the actuating device, which is common to both the wheel spoiler and the cover element. The actuating element is also referred to as the first actuating element, and unless otherwise specified, the term "actuating element" refers to the first actuating element. By means of the actuating element, the wheel spoiler can be moved between positions, particularly by moving the actuating element relative to the vehicle wheel and, for example, relative to the wheel spoiler and, for example, also relative to the cover element.Furthermore, by means of the actuating element, the cover element can be moved between the second and third positions—between the open position (releasing the flow opening) and the closed position (closing the flow opening)—by moving the actuating element, particularly relative to the vehicle wheel, and, for example, relative to the wheel spoiler, between the second and third positions. In other words, if the actuating element is driven and thereby moved, such that the wheel spoiler is driven and thereby moved between the second and third positions, then, in particular simultaneously, the cover element is also driven and thereby moved between the closed and open positions. Thus, for example, part of the movement of the wheel spoiler between the second and third positions is superimposed by the movement of the cover element between the cover element positions. In other words, at least part of the movement of the wheel spoiler between the second and third positions coincides in time with the movement of the cover element between the cover element positions, which makes the cover element and the wheel spoiler particularly easy to move.
[0018] Another embodiment is characterized in that the actuating element is associated with an actuator, in particular an actuator that can be operated electrically and / or pneumatically and / or hydraulically. The actuating element can be driven and thus moved by means of the actuator, whereby the wheel spoiler can be moved between positions via the actuating element, and the cover element can be moved between the open and closed positions relative to the wheel spoiler when the wheel spoiler moves between the second and third positions. This allows for targeted, rapid, and demand-based movement of the wheel spoiler and the cover element.
[0019] In order to move the cover element relative to the wheel spoiler easily and precisely using the actuating element, a further embodiment of the invention provides that the cover element is coupled to the actuating element bypassing the wheel spoiler. This means that the cover element is not coupled to the actuating element via the wheel spoiler, or not only via the wheel spoiler, so that, for example, forces and / or torques for driving the cover element can be transmitted from the actuating element to the cover element bypassing the wheel spoiler, and thus do not flow from the actuating element to the cover element via the wheel spoiler. It has proven particularly advantageous if the cover element is articulated to the actuating element, bypassing the wheel spoiler. This allows for advantageous movement or adjustability of the cover element between its positions, especially relative to the wheel spoiler.
[0020] In a further, particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the actuating element interacts, in particular in a form-fitting manner, with a second actuating element that is movable relative to the first actuating element by moving the first actuating element, wherein, for example, the second actuating element can be a component of the actuating device. The wheel spoiler can be driven by the first actuating element via the second actuating element and is thereby movable between the positions, so that a particularly advantageous, demand-based and precise movement or movableness of the wheel spoiler can be achieved, especially relative to the cover element.
[0021] It has proven advantageous if the wheel spoiler is coupled to the second actuating element, particularly rigidly, i.e., immovably, bypassing the cover element. This allows the wheel spoiler to be advantageously driven by the second actuating element and, via the second actuating element, by the first actuating element, and in particular to be moved relative to the cover element.
[0022] In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first actuating element is designed as a gear. The second actuating element is designed as a rack into which the gear engages. By rotating the gear, particularly about an axis of rotation, the rack can be displaced, especially along a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation, thereby allowing the wheel spoiler to be moved between positions. This enables effective, efficient, precise, and demand-based movement of the wheel spoiler, particularly relative to the vehicle wheel and preferably also relative to the cover element.
[0023] It should also be noted that alternatives to the rack and pinion solution are possible for power transmission. Other drives can be used as alternatives, such as levers, a second actuator, and the like.
[0024] Finally, it has proven particularly advantageous if the cover element has a second flow opening which is completely circumferentially bounded by the cover element, preferably designed as a solid and inherently rigid body, and in particular by a wall of the cover element, preferably designed as a solid and inherently rigid body, and especially directly bounded. In the third position, the second flow opening is arranged in at least partial overlap with the first flow opening, so that in the third position the first flow opening is uncovered, and thus in the third position the air can flow through the first flow opening and through the second flow opening and, for example, flow into or to the supply area.In the second position, for example, the wall is arranged in overlap with the first flow opening, so that in the third position the first flow opening is closed by the wall, in particular completely. Preferably, it is provided that in the third position the first flow opening is completely closed by means of the cover element, thereby achieving particularly advantageous aerodynamics of the vehicle.
[0025] Further advantages and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description and the accompanying drawing. These show: Fig. 1 a schematic and perspective front view of a first embodiment of an air guidance device of a motor vehicle, wherein a wheel spoiler of the air guidance device is in a first position; Fig. 2 a further schematic and perspective front view of the air guidance device according to the first embodiment of a motor vehicle, wherein the wheel spoiler is in a third position; Fig. 3 a further schematic and perspective front view of the air guidance device according to the first embodiment of a motor vehicle, wherein the wheel spoiler is in a second position; Fig. 4 schematic side views of the air guidance device according to the first embodiment; and Fig. 5 schematic side views of the air guidance device according to a second embodiment.
[0026] In the figures, identical or functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference symbols.
[0027] Fig. Figure 1 shows a schematic and perspective front view of a first embodiment of an air guide device 10 of a motor vehicle, which is also referred to as a vehicle and is designed here as a passenger car. The air guide device 10 has at least one wheel spoiler 12 for guiding air that flows towards the wheel spoiler 12, for example, when the motor vehicle is traveling forward. The wheel spoiler 12 is associated with a vehicle wheel 14 of the motor vehicle, which is also simply referred to as a wheel. The vehicle wheel 14 is a ground contact element over which the motor vehicle moves downwards in the upward direction of the vehicle against a Fig. The vehicle is supported on the ground 16 shown in Figure 4. If the vehicle is driven along the ground 16 while supported downwards in the vehicle's vertical direction by the ground contact element (vehicle wheel 14), the vehicle wheel 14 rolls, in particular directly, along the ground. The vehicle's vertical direction, also known as the z-direction in the vehicle coordinate system, is illustrated by a double arrow 17.
[0028] In order to achieve a particularly advantageous functionality of the air guidance device, the wheel spoiler 12, in the embodiment shown in the figures, has exactly one first flow opening 18 through which air can flow ( Fig. 2) on. The flow opening 18 is therefore a through-opening that completely penetrates the wheel spoiler, which in this embodiment has a rectangular shape, although other shapes for the flow opening 18 are conceivable, for example also circular.
[0029] Furthermore, a cover element 20 is associated with the wheel spoiler 12, which is movable relative to the vehicle wheel 14 and also relative to the wheel spoiler 12 between a closed position S and an open position O, also referred to as the release position, which differs from the closed position, for example at least in the vertical direction of the vehicle. Furthermore, the wheel spoiler 12 is movable in the vertical direction of the vehicle and, in particular, along a path of movement relative to the vehicle wheel 14 between a closed position S and an open position O, which is also referred to as the release position. Fig. The position S1 shown, which is also referred to as the first position, is in a Fig. The 3 shown extended position S2, which is also referred to as the second position, and an intermediate position, also referred to as the intermediate position, in Fig. The intermediate position S3 shown in section 2 is movable; this is also referred to as the third position and lies specifically along the path of movement between the retracted position S1 and the extended position S2. The open position O and the closed position S are collectively referred to as the cover element positions.
[0030] In the second position (extended position S2), the wheel spoiler 12, in particular its lower edge U, is positioned further down in the vehicle's vertical direction compared to the retracted position S1, such that the distance A between the lower edge U and the ground 16, running in the vehicle's vertical direction, has a first value. In these positions, the wheel spoiler 12 terminates at its lower edge U, so that the lower edge U is the lowest point of the wheel spoiler 12 when viewed downwards in the vehicle's vertical direction. In the retracted position, the distance A has a second value that is larger than the first value, with both the first and second values being greater than zero.
[0031] In the second position (extended position S2), the wheel spoiler is positioned in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in front of the vehicle wheel 14, such that, for example, a first section of the vehicle wheel 14 is overlapped forward in the longitudinal direction by the wheel spoiler 12. In the second position of the wheel spoiler 12, the flow opening 18 of the wheel spoiler 12 is positioned in the longitudinal direction in front of the vehicle wheel 14, so that, for example, a part of the first section is overlapped forward in the longitudinal direction by the flow opening 18. In the second position of the wheel spoiler 12, the cover element 20 is in the closed position S, so that in the extended position of the wheel spoiler 12 the flow opening 18 of the wheel spoiler 12 is closed by means of the cover element 20, i.e. fluidically blocked, so that no air can flow through the flow opening 18.
[0032] In the third position (intermediate position S3), the wheel spoiler 12, and thus its lower edge U, is positioned further down in the vehicle's vertical direction compared to the retracted position S1. Conversely, in the third position, the wheel spoiler, and thus its lower edge U, is positioned further up in the vehicle's vertical direction compared to the extended position S2 (second position). Therefore, in intermediate position S3, the distance A has a third value that is greater than the first value and less than the second value, and this third value is greater than zero. Furthermore, in the third position, the wheel spoiler 12 is positioned in front of the vehicle's longitudinal direction, such that, for example, a second, smaller section of the vehicle's longitudinal direction, compared to the first, overlaps the wheel spoiler 12 forward. In particular, the second section is part of the first section. Fig. Figure 1 shows that, for example, in the retracted position S1 of the wheel spoiler 12, a third section of the vehicle wheel 14, smaller than both the first and second sections, overlaps the wheel spoiler 12 forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, wherein, for example, the third section is a part of the second section and a part of the third section. Thus, it is specifically provided that in the extended position S2, the first section of the vehicle wheel 14 overlaps a first spoiler section of the wheel spoiler 12 forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, wherein no other component of the vehicle is arranged between the first section and the first spoiler section in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. In the intermediate position S3, for example, the second section of the vehicle wheel 14 is overlapped forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle by a second spoiler section of the wheel spoiler 12, which is smaller than the first spoiler section, and no other component of the vehicle is located between the second section and the second spoiler section in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Furthermore, in the retracted position S1, for example, the third section of the vehicle wheel 14 is overlapped forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle by a second spoiler section of the wheel spoiler 12, which is smaller than both the first and second spoiler sections, and no other component of the vehicle is located between the third section and the third spoiler section in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. For example, the second spoiler area is part of the first spoiler area, and the third spoiler area is part of both the first and second spoiler areas. In particular, the flow opening 18 is arranged in the second spoiler area and thus in the first spoiler area, and preferably outside the third spoiler area.
[0033] Furthermore, it is provided that in the third position (intermediate position S3), the flow opening 18 of the wheel spoiler 12 is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in front of the vehicle wheel 14, so that, for example, part of the second section overlaps the flow opening 18 forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. In the third position, the cover element 20 is in the open position O, so that in the intermediate position S3, the flow opening 18 of the wheel spoiler 12 is exposed and thus allows air to flow through it. This is in Fig. 4 illustrated by an arrow 22.
[0034] In the first embodiment, the cover element 20 has a second flow opening 24, which is completely circumferentially bounded by the rigid cover element 20, in particular by a rigid wall 26 of the cover element 20. In the third position, the second flow opening 24 is arranged in at least partial overlap with the first flow opening 18, so that in the third position the flow openings 18 and 24, which are designed as through-openings, are open and, in particular, can be permeated by air in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, as illustrated by arrow 22.In the extended position S3, however, the wall 26 is arranged in overlap with the first flow opening 18, so that in the third position the first flow opening 18 is closed, in particular completely, by means of the wall 26, i.e. fluidically blocked.
[0035] It can be seen that the lower edge U of the wheel spoiler 12 is active in the second position, the third position, and, if applicable, the first position, particularly aerodynamically, and ensures an aerodynamically advantageous airflow. Thus, for example, the lift of the vehicle can be advantageously influenced by the wheel spoiler 12 in the second position, the third position, and, if applicable, also in the first position.
[0036] Fig. Figure 5 shows a second embodiment of the air guide device 10. In this embodiment, the wheel spoiler 12 and the cover element 20 are kinematically coupled to each other via a first actuating element 28 common to both the wheel spoiler 12 and the cover element 20. By means of the first actuating element 28, the wheel spoiler 12 can be moved between positions, and the cover element 20 can be moved between the second and third positions relative to the wheel spoiler 12 by means of the actuating element 28. The actuating element 28 is, for example, equipped with a Fig. The actuator 30, shown schematically in Figure 5, is assigned to the first actuating element 28, which can be driven and thus moved in such a way that the actuating element 28 can be rotated about an axis of rotation relative to the vehicle wheel 14, as well as relative to the wheel spoiler 12 and relative to the cover element 20. This rotation and thus movement of the first actuating element 28 about the axis of rotation allows the wheel spoiler 12 to be moved between positions by means of the actuator 30. Conversely, this rotation and thus movement of the first actuating element 28 about the axis of rotation allows the cover element 20 to be moved between the second and third positions relative to the wheel spoiler 12 via the actuating element 28.
[0037] Recognizable from Fig.5. The cover element 20 is also articulated to the actuating element 28 via a lever arrangement 32, bypassing the wheel spoiler 12. The lever arrangement 32 comprises, for example, a first lever 34, which is rigidly (i.e., immovably) or articulated to the cover element 20. Furthermore, the lever arrangement 32 comprises a second lever 36, which is articulated to the first lever 34. The second lever 36 is also articulated to the actuating element 28, in this case at a connection point spaced from and thus eccentric to the axis of rotation. This allows the cover element 20 to be moved between the cover element positions relative to the wheel spoiler 12 by moving, i.e., in this case by rotating the first actuating element 28 around the axis of rotation, in particular while at the same time the wheel spoiler 12 is moved between the second position and the third position by means of the actuating element 28.
[0038] In the second embodiment, the first actuating element 28 interacts with a second actuating element 38, which is provided in addition to the first actuating element 28 and is designed separately from the first actuating element 28, in particular in a form-fitting manner, for example such that the actuating element 28, in particular a first toothing 40 of the actuating element 28, engages in the actuating element 38, in particular in a second toothing 42 of the second actuating element 38. By moving the first actuating element 28, that is, by rotating the first actuating element 28 about the axis of rotation, the second actuating element 38 can be moved relative to the first actuating element 28 and also relative to the wheel spoiler 12 and in particular relative to the vehicle wheel 14. Via the second actuating element 38, the wheel spoiler 12 can be driven by the first actuating element 28 and is thereby movable between the positions.Furthermore, it is provided that the wheel spoiler 12 is coupled to the second actuating element 38, in particular rigidly, i.e. immovably, bypassing the cover element 20.
[0039] In the second embodiment, the first actuating element 28 is designed as a gear, and the second actuating element 38 is designed as a rack. The gear, in particular its teeth 40, engages with the rack, in particular its teeth 42, so that by rotating the gear about the axis of rotation, the rack can be displaced, in particular along a sliding direction that is straight and perpendicular to the axis of rotation, thereby allowing the wheel spoiler 12 to be moved between the positions.
