Description

BACKGROUND1. Area

[0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an assembly for a vehicle drive device, more particularly to an assembly comprising a hub of an axle, a disc of a brake device and a wheel. 2. Description of the state of the art

[0002] There is a problem with noise generation in the area of the braking system of a moving vehicle.

[0003] The noise may, for example, be a low-frequency noise in the range of 100 Hz to 1000 Hz (for example a groaning noise, creaking noise and / or howling noise), a medium-frequency noise in the range of 1 KHz to 5 KHz (for example a squeaking noise) and / or a high-frequency noise in the range of 5 KHz to 10 KHz (for example a squeaking noise).

[0004] Accordingly, a technology for suppressing and / or eliminating noise generated in vehicles has been developed (KR 10 1 965 816 B1 and JP 2002 - 87 007 A).

[0005] For example, a structure of a corresponding system has been changed as a countermeasure against the generation of noise at intermediate frequencies, and related studies are actively being conducted.

[0006] As a countermeasure against the generation of high-frequency noise, a washer is usually attached to a brake pad, a brake pad is beveled, the material of a brake pad is changed, and / or the like, and related studies are actively conducted.

[0007] However, fewer studies have been conducted on the suppression and / or elimination of low-frequency noise than studies on the suppression and / or elimination of mid-frequency noise and high-frequency noise, and to date there are no countermeasures to suppress and / or eliminate the corresponding noise.

[0008] The published patent application DE 10 2016 213 962 A1 describes an assembly for a vehicle drive device. The assembly comprises a hub configured to rotate about a rotational axis. One or more first fastening elements are configured to couple the hub and a rim of a wheel for a vehicle. An end portion of the hub comprises a first facing surface facing a surface of the rim. The first fastening element couples the hub and the rim in a portion of the one surface of the rim facing a portion of the first facing surface. The portion of the first facing surface has an angle of inclination with respect to the rotational axis. Further prior art can be found in the documents DE 42 05 579 A1, DE 44 19 198 A1, and US Pat. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0032] Throughout the description, like reference numerals denote like elements. Not all elements of the embodiments are described in the description, and common content of the prior art or content repeated between embodiments is also not described. Terms such as parts, modules, elements, and blocks may be implemented using software or hardware, and a plurality of parts, modules, elements, and blocks may be implemented in a single element, or a part, module, element, or block may also include a plurality of elements.

[0033] When the description states that a part is "connected" to another part, this includes being "directly connected" to another part, and being "indirectly connected" to another part includes being "connected" to another part via a wireless communications network.

[0034] Furthermore, where a part “includes” an element, it may also include another part rather than excluding the existence of another element, unless otherwise described.

[0035] If the description states that an element is "on" another element, the element is in contact with another element, or there is another element between the two elements.

[0036] Terms such as first, second, etc. are used here to distinguish one element from another, and the elements are not limited to the above terms.

[0037] When used in this document, the singular forms “a” and “an” are intended to include the plural forms unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.

[0038] Reference symbols in operations are used to clarify the description and do not describe a sequence of operations, and the operations may be performed in an order different from the described order unless the context clearly indicates a particular order.

[0039] The disclosure is based on the fact that it is easier to suppress and / or eliminate low-frequency noise generated during the travel of a vehicle by changing a configuration (and / or structure) around an axle of a vehicle rather than changing a configuration (and / or structure) of a braking device.

[0040] Some of the low-frequency noise (e.g., a whining noise) generated while the vehicle is moving can be generated by a rim and / or a disc. Therefore, by improving the static and dynamic torsional behavior of the rim and disc, the low-frequency noise generated while the vehicle is moving can be suppressed and / or eliminated.

[0041] In order to improve the static and dynamic torsional behavior of the rim and disc, i.e. to increase the torsional rigidity of the rim and disc, the bolt circle diameters of the rim and / or disc must be large.

[0042] Accordingly, in one embodiment of the disclosure, a novel assembly for a vehicle drive device is proposed in which the bolt circle diameters of a rim and / or a disc can be larger than those of the conventional assembly structure.

[0043] In the following, operating principles and embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0044] Fig. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing an axle, a wheel and a brake device of a conventional vehicle which are coupled, Fig. 2 is a view showing the coupling of the axle and the wheel as shown in Fig. 1, shows, and Fig. 3 is a view showing the coupling of the axle and the braking device as shown in Fig. 1 shows.

[0045] With reference to the Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and / or 3, a first surface of an axle 1 and a surface of a wheel 2 may be in contact with each other, and a second surface of the axle 1 and a surface of a braking device 3 may be in contact with each other.

[0046] As in the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the axle 1 may include a hub 101.

[0047] With reference to Fig. 2, an end portion (or referred to as a first axially outer end portion) 1011 of the hub 101 and a rim 201 of the wheel 2 may be in contact with each other. Accordingly, the hub 101 may rotate about a rotational axis RA while power provided via the axle 1 is transferred to the wheel 2.

[0048] As in Fig. 3, the other end portion (or referred to as a second axially outer end portion) 1013 of the hub 101 and a disc 301 of the braking device 3 may be in contact with each other. Accordingly, the hub 101 may rotate about the rotation axis RA while power provided via the axle 1 is transferred to the disc 301.

[0049] Fig. 4 is a view for describing the conventional coupling of the hub and the rim using a bolt.

[0050] With reference to Fig. As shown in Figure 4, through holes 41 and 43 are formed in two end portions of the hub 101, which are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis RA. The through holes 41 and 43 are formed in end portions of the hub 101 so as to be parallel to the rotation axis RA. Furthermore, a bolt 401 is inserted into the through hole 41, and a bolt 403 is inserted into the through hole 43, so that the rim 201 of the wheel 2 and the hub 101 are coupled by means of the bolt 401 and the bolt 403.

[0051] In a conventional coupling structure of the rim 201 and the hub 101, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 4, there is the problem that low-frequency noise is generated while the vehicle is moving.

[0052] Accordingly, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, in order to suppress and / or eliminate low-frequency noise, a new coupling structure, ie, a mounting structure, is proposed in which a bolt circle diameter of the through hole 43 is increased to increase a torsional natural frequency of the rim 201.

[0053] Fig. 5 is a view illustrating the conventional coupling of a hub and a disc using the bolt.

[0054] With reference to Fig. 5, through holes 45 and 47 are typically formed in two end portions of the hub 101 in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis RA and in portions of the disc 301 that contact the two end portions. Furthermore, the through holes 45 and 47 are arranged parallel to the rotation axis RA in the two end portions of the hub 101 and in the portions of the disc 301 that contact the two end portions. Furthermore, a bolt 405 is inserted into the through hole 45, and a bolt 407 is inserted into the through hole 47, so that the disc 301 and the hub 101 of the brake device 3 are coupled using the bolt 405 and the bolt 407.

[0055] According to the conventional coupling structure of the disc 301 and the hub 101 as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 5, there is the problem that low-frequency noise is generated while the vehicle is moving.

[0056] Accordingly, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, in order to suppress and / or eliminate low-frequency noise, a new coupling structure, ie, a mounting structure, is proposed in which a bolt circle diameter 5 is increased to increase a torsional natural frequency of the disc 301 of the brake device 3.

[0057] Fig. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating an assembly of a vehicle drive device 6 comprising a hub, a rim and a disc according to one embodiment.

[0058] Referring to Fig. 6, an end portion (or referred to as a surface in a first outer axial direction L) of a hub 610 arranged in a direction L may include a facing surface (or referred to as a first facing surface) facing a surface of a rim 630. Furthermore, the facing surface may include portions with inclination angles with respect to a rotation axis RA.

[0059] For example, the facing surface may comprise a first portion 611, a second portion 612, and / or a third portion 613, and the portions with the inclination angles may correspond to the second portion 612 and the third portion 613.

[0060] A first bolt 671 corresponding to a first fastening element may be inserted into a portion of a surface of the rim 630 facing the second portion 612 of the hub 610, ie, a second portion 633, and the second portion 612.

[0061] A second bolt 673 corresponding to a first fastening element may be inserted into a portion of a surface of the rim facing the third portion 613 of the hub 610, that is, a third portion 635, and the third portion 613.

[0062] Then, the first fastening element (the first bolt 671 and / or the second bolt 673) may have an inclination (referred to as a first inclination) with respect to the rotation axis RA. In other words, the first fastening element (the first bolt 671 and / or the second bolt 673) may not be arranged parallel to the rotation axis RA.

[0063] An end portion (also referred to as a surface of a second outer axial direction R) of the hub 610, which is arranged in the other direction R, may include a facing surface (referred to as a second facing surface) facing a surface of a disc 650. Furthermore, the facing surface may include portions with inclination angles with respect to the rotation axis RA.

[0064] For example, the facing surface may include a fourth portion 614, a fifth portion 615, and / or a sixth portion 616, and the portions having the angles of inclination may correspond to the fifth portion 615 and the sixth portion 616.

[0065] A third bolt 675 corresponding to a second fastening element may be inserted into a portion of a surface of the disc 650 facing the fifth portion 615 of the hub 610, ie, a second portion 653, and the fifth portion 615.

[0066] A fourth bolt 677 corresponding to a second fastening element may be inserted into a portion of a surface of the disc 650 facing the sixth portion 616 of the hub 610, ie, a third portion 655, and the sixth portion 616.

[0067] Then, the second fastening element (the third bolt 675 and / or the second bolt 677) may have an inclination (referred to as a second inclination) with respect to the rotation axis RA. In other words, the second fastening element (the third bolt 675 and / or the fourth bolt 677) may not be arranged parallel to the rotation axis RA.

[0068] More specifically, the end portion of the hub 610 arranged in a direction L may comprise the first portion 611 extending around the rotation axis RA in a first direction U perpendicular to the rotation axis RA and a second direction D opposite to the first direction U.

[0069] Furthermore, the end portion of the hub 610 arranged in a direction L may include the second portion 612 extending from the first portion 611 at a predetermined first inclination angle and the third portion 613 extending from the first portion 611 at a predetermined second inclination angle.

[0070] The predetermined first inclination angle may be an angle greater than 90 degrees, and the second inclination angle may be an angle greater than 180 degrees.

[0071] The hub 630 may include a first portion 631 extending around the rotation axis RA in the first direction U and the second direction D, which are perpendicular to the rotation axis RA. Furthermore, the rim 630 may include a second portion 633 extending from the first portion 631 at a predetermined third inclination angle and a third portion 635 extending from the first portion 631 at a predetermined fourth inclination angle.

[0072] The predetermined third tilt angle may be an angle greater than 90 degrees, and the fourth tilt angle may be an angle greater than 180 degrees. For example, the third tilt angle may be equal to the first tilt angle, and the fourth tilt angle may be equal to the second tilt angle.

[0073] The first portion 611 of the hub 610 may be shaped to have a length greater than the length of the first portion 631 of the rim 630, and a first axially outer end portion 621 of the hub 610 may be in contact with a surface of the first portion 631 of the rim 630. Accordingly, a void area with a predetermined gap may be formed between the second portion 612 of the hub 610 and the second portion 633 of the rim 630. Furthermore, a void area with a predetermined gap may be formed between the third portion 613 of the hub 610 and the third portion 635 of the rim 630.

[0074] Through holes through which the first bolt 671 can be passed can be formed in the second portion 633 of the rim 630 and the second portion 612 of the hub 610, respectively. For example, the through holes of the second portion 633 of the rim 630 and the second portion 612 of the hub 610 can be shaped to be rectilinearly collinear with each other and perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the second portion 633 and the second portion 612.

[0075] The bolt 671 may be inserted into the through holes of the second portion 633 of the rim 630 and the second portion 612 of the hub 610 to couple the rim 630 and the hub 610.

[0076] Through holes through which the second bolt 673 can be passed can be formed in the third portion 635 of the rim 630 and the third portion 613 of the hub 610, respectively. For example, the through holes of the third portion 635 of the rim 630 and the third portion 613 of the hub 610 can be shaped to be rectilinearly collinear with each other so as to be perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the third portion 635 and the third portion 613.

[0077] The second bolt 673 may be inserted into the through holes of the third portion 635 of the rim 630 and the third portion 613 of the hub 610 to couple the rim 630 and the hub 610.

[0078] According to a coupling structure of the hub 610 and the rim 630 explained above, it can be seen that each of the bolts 671 and 673 has a predetermined angle (or referred to as a predetermined inclination) with respect to the rotation axis RA.

[0079] Accordingly, the distance between the bolts 671 and 673, ie the bolt circle diameter 61, is reduced compared to the conventional hub and rim coupling structure as shown in Fig. 4, which can increase the torsional rigidity of the rim 630.

[0080] Furthermore, the end portion of the hub 610 arranged in the other direction R opposite to the end portion in one direction L may include the fourth portion 614 extending around the rotation axis RA in the first direction U and the second direction D, which are perpendicular to the rotation axis RA.

[0081] Furthermore, the end portion of the hub 610 arranged in the other direction R may include the fifth portion 615 extending from the fourth portion 614 at a predetermined fifth inclination angle and the fifth portion 615 extending from the fourth portion 614 at a predetermined sixth inclination angle.

[0082] The predetermined fifth inclination angle may be an angle greater than 90 degrees, and the sixth inclination angle may be an angle greater than 180 degrees.

[0083] The disc 650 may include a first portion 651 extending around the rotation axis RA in the first direction U perpendicular to the rotation axis RA and in the second direction D opposite to the first direction U. Furthermore, the disc 650 may include a second portion 653 extending from the first portion 651 at a predetermined seventh inclination angle and a third portion 655 extending from the first portion 651 at a predetermined eighth inclination angle.

[0084] The predetermined seventh inclination angle may be an angle greater than 90 degrees, and the eighth inclination angle may be an angle greater than 180 degrees. For example, the seventh inclination angle may be equal to the fifth inclination angle, and the eighth inclination angle may be equal to the sixth inclination angle.

[0085] The fourth portion 614 of the hub 610 may be shaped to have a length less than a length of the first portion 651 of the disc 650, and a second axially outer end portion 624 of the hub 610 may be in contact with a surface of the first portion 651 of the disc 650. Accordingly, a void area with a predetermined gap may be formed between the fifth portion 615 of the hub 610 and the second portion 653 of the rim 630. Furthermore, a void area with a predetermined gap may be formed between the sixth portion 616 of the hub 610 and the third portion 655 of the disc 650.

[0086] Through holes through which the third bolt 675 can be passed can be formed in the second portion 653 of the disc 650 and the fifth portion 615 of the hub 610, respectively. For example, through holes of the second portion 653 of the rim 650 and the fifth portion 615 of the hub 610 can be shaped to be rectilinearly collinear with each other and perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the second portion 653 and the fifth portion 615.

[0087] The third bolt 675 may be inserted into the through hole of the second portion 653 of the disc 650 of the rim 630 and the through holes of the fifth portion 615 of the hub 610 to couple the disc 650 and the hub 610.

[0088] Through-holes through which the fourth bolt 677 can be passed can be formed in the third portion 655 of the disc 650 and in the sixth portion 616 of the hub 610, respectively. For example, the through-holes of the third portion 655 of the disc 650 and the sixth portion 616 of the hub 610 can be shaped to be collinear with each other so as to be perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of each of the third portion 655 and the sixth portion 616.

[0089] The fourth bolt 677 can be inserted into the through holes of the third portion 655 of the disc 650 and the sixth portion 616 of the hub 610 to couple the rim 630 and the disc 650.

[0090] According to the coupling structure of the hub 610 and the disk 650 described above, it can be seen that each of the bolts 675 and 677 has a predetermined angle (or referred to as a predetermined inclination) with respect to the rotation axis RA.

[0091] Accordingly, the distance between the bolts 675 and 677, ie the bolt circle diameter 63, is reduced compared to the conventional hub and rim coupling structure as shown in Fig. 5, which can increase the torsional rigidity of the disc 650.

[0092] Fig. 7 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing the conventional mounting structure of the rim and the disc.

[0093] With reference to Fig. 7, in the conventional structure, a surface of the rim 710 and a surface of the disk 730 are in contact with each other and connected by a bolt 750. For example, conventionally, through holes are formed to be straightly collinear with each other so as to be perpendicular to a surface of the rim 710 and a surface of the disk 730, and the bolt 750 is inserted into the through holes to couple the rim 710 and the disk 730.

[0094] According to a coupling structure of Fig. 7, a first distance Ds from any portion of a lower end of a surface of the rim 710 and a surface of the disk 730 to a head center of the bolt 750 and a second distance De from any portion of the lower end of a surface of the rim 710 and a surface of the disk 730 to a body center of the bolt 750 are equal. Accordingly, a vehicle having the corresponding structure has a problem that low-frequency noise is generated during travel.

[0095] In order to suppress and / or eliminate the low frequency noise which, according to the Fig. 7, an embodiment of the present disclosure proposes to create a structure of section 71 of Fig. 7 so that a first distance Ds and a second distance De should be different, as in Fig. 8 shown.

[0096] Fig. 8 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating an assembly structure of a rim and a disk according to an embodiment.

[0097] With reference to Fig. 8, the rim 810 may comprise a first portion 811 extending in a vertical direction U of a coordinate system, a second portion 813 extending from the first portion 811 at a predetermined first inclination angle, and a third portion 815 extending from the second portion 813 at a predetermined second inclination angle.

[0098] For example, the predetermined first inclination angle may be an angle greater than 90 degrees and less than the predetermined second inclination angle.

[0099] Furthermore, the disk 830 may comprise a first portion 831 extending in the vertical direction U of the coordinate system, a second portion 833 extending from the first portion 831 at a predetermined third inclination angle, and a third portion 835 extending from the second portion 833 at a predetermined fourth inclination angle.

[0100] For example, the predetermined third angle of inclination may be the same angle as the predetermined first angle of inclination and may be greater than the predetermined fourth angle of inclination.

[0101] A surface of the first portion 811 of the rim 810 and a surface of the first portion 831 of the disc 830 may be in contact with each other, and a surface of the second portion 813 of the rim 810 and a surface of the second portion 833 of the disc 830 may be in contact with each other. Furthermore, the third portion 815 of the hub 810 and the third portion 835 of the disc 830 may not be in contact with each other.

[0102] Through holes may be formed in the second portion 813 of the rim 810 and the second portion 833 of the disc 830. For example, the through holes of the second portion 813 of the rim 810 and the second portion 813 of the hub 830 may be shaped to be rectilinearly collinear with each other so as to be perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of each of the second portion 813 and the second portion 813.

[0103] A fastener 850 (e.g., a bolt) may be inserted into the through holes to couple the second portion 813 of the rim 810 and the second portion 813 of the disc 830 using the fastener 850.

[0104] According to the new coupling structure of Fig. 8 that a second distance De from any portion of a lower end of a surface of the rim 810 and a surface of the disk 830 to a center of a body of the fastening element 850 is greater than a first distance Ds from any portion of the lower end of a surface of the rim 810 and a surface of the disk 830 to a head center of the fastening element 850. This increases the torsional rigidity of the rim 810 and / or the disk 830 compared to that shown in Fig.7, which has the advantage of minimizing or eliminating low-frequency noise.

[0105] According to one aspect of the disclosure, an assembly for a vehicle drive system can suppress and / or eliminate low-frequency noise generated during vehicle travel.

[0106] For example, the assembly for a vehicle drive device according to one aspect of the disclosure may provide a novel assembly capable of minimizing low-frequency noise generated by the assembly of a hub of a conventional axle, a disc of a brake device, and a wheel.

[0107] The disclosed embodiments have been described as explained above with reference to the accompanying drawings. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the disclosure may be embodied in other specific forms without changing the technological scope and essential features. The illustrated embodiments are exemplary and should not be interpreted as limiting.
