Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a threshold system for a door or a window, in particular for a sliding door or a sliding window, with a threshold element which has an underside to be turned towards a building structure, and with at least one adaptation profile which is arranged on the underside of the threshold element for height adjustment of the threshold system and via which the threshold element is to be supported on the building structure, wherein the threshold element and the adaptation profile have respective coupling sections via which the adaptation profile is detachably coupled to the threshold element.
[0002] Such threshold systems are used primarily to support the frame or sash components of doors or windows directly or indirectly on the floor. The threshold element can be connected to the building structure, such as a concrete floor, via mounting brackets or similar. Height adjustment via the adjustment profile ensures, for example, that the surface of the threshold element or an intermediate profile attached to it is flush with the surface of the floor slab as desired. For this purpose, a suitable adjustment profile can be selected from a set of adjustment profiles of different heights.
[0003] A wide variety of adaptation profiles are available, often differing in the design of their coupling sections. A manufacturer of speed bump systems therefore strives to keep several types of threshold elements with appropriately designed coupling sections available so that all types of adaptation profiles can be used. This involves considerable effort. Further complicating matters is that profile manufacturers sometimes change the design of the coupling sections, necessitating the design and manufacture of new threshold elements.
[0004] It is an object of the invention to simplify the manufacture of speed bump systems of the specified type.
[0005] The problem is solved by a threshold system having the features of claim 1.
[0006] According to the invention, the threshold element comprises a base body and a separate adapter profile fastened to the base body, and the coupling section of the threshold element is formed on the separate adapter profile.
[0007] This allows the threshold element to be adapted to different adaptation profiles using the adapter profile. This eliminates the need to provide separate threshold elements. The design, production, and storage of adapter profiles is simpler and more cost-effective than with threshold elements. Even retrofitting an existing threshold element to a predefined adaptation profile is easily possible.
[0008] Preferably, the separate adapter profile is detachably attached to the base body so that the adapter profile can be easily replaced if necessary.
[0009] The separate adapter profile can be attached to the base body via a plug-in connection. This allows for particularly quick and easy connection of the base body to the adapter profile and, if necessary, easy removal of the adapter profile from the base body.
[0010] According to a special embodiment of the invention, the separate adapter profile is attached to the base body via a plug-in connection and additionally glued to the base body. This bonding results in increased stability of the threshold element, which is necessary in certain application situations.
[0011] Preferably, at least one groove is formed on the base body, which extends along a longitudinal axis of the threshold element and into which a rib of the separate adapter profile is inserted. The groove, in conjunction with the rib, forms a particularly simple plug-in connection.
[0012] One embodiment of the invention provides for at least two different, separate adapter profiles that can be selectively attached to the base body and have different coupling sections. The adapter profile attached to the base body is selected from the at least two different adapter profiles. Thus, depending on the adapter profile to be used, it is possible to attach an adapter profile to the base body whose coupling section matches the coupling section of the adapter profile. This increases the flexibility in the production of speed bump systems.
[0013] The coupling sections of the adapter profile and the adjustment profile can together form a snap-in connection, allowing the adjustment profile to snap or lock into place on the base body. This facilitates the installation of the threshold system.
[0014] The separate adapter profile can be provided with a flat base section with two opposing flat sides, one of the flat sides being designed to engage the underside of the threshold element, and at least one locking tongue for the locking connection protruding from the other flat side. This results in a particularly simple construction. Preferably, several locking tongues protrude from the associated flat side to ensure a particularly stable hold of the adapter profile on the adapter profile and / or to enable interaction with different counter-locking elements of adapter profiles.
[0015] The separate adapter profile and / or the adaptation profile can be designed as an extruded profile. This enables particularly fast and cost-effective production, especially if the adapter profile is designed as a flat component.
[0016] According to a further embodiment of the invention, the threshold element has an upper side facing away from the underside, on which a guide rail is arranged for supporting and / or guiding a sliding leaf of the door or window. For example, a movable leaf can be slid in front of a fixed leaf along the guide rail to create a passage. The guide rail can be glued and / or screwed to the threshold element.
[0017] The base body can comprise a solid profile made of closed-cell foam. This eliminates channels in the threshold element that could absorb moisture and conduct it to the masonry. The closed-cell structure of the foam also prevents moisture absorption by the threshold element. To manufacture different threshold systems, it is sufficient to provide a single type of solid profile, as adaptation to different adaptation profiles can be achieved using adapter profiles with a uniform interface to the base body.
[0018] The threshold element can also have at least one cover profile resting on the solid material profile. Such a cover profile stiffens the foam part and provides a scratch-resistant surface.
[0019] A further embodiment of the invention provides for at least two different adjustment profiles, which can be optionally arranged on the underside of the threshold element and have different coupling sections and / or different heights, wherein the adjustment profile arranged on the underside of the threshold element is selected from the at least two different adjustment profiles. This makes it easy to provide a height-adjustable threshold system. It is not necessary to provide a separate threshold element for each of the different adjustment profiles.
[0020] The invention also relates to a door or a window, in particular a sliding door or a sliding window, with a threshold system and a wing which is movable relative to the threshold system, in particular by means of a roller arrangement on the threshold system.
[0021] According to the invention, the threshold system is designed as described above.
[0022] Further developments of the invention can also be found in the dependent claims, the description and the accompanying drawings.
[0023] The invention is described below by way of example with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of a sliding door according to the invention with a threshold system according to the invention. Fig. 2 shows a base body and two different adapter profiles of a threshold system according to the invention in cross section. Fig. 3 shows two threshold elements of a floor threshold system designed according to a first embodiment of the invention, which have adaptation profiles of different heights. Fig. 4 shows two threshold elements of a floor threshold system designed according to a second embodiment of the invention, which have adaptation profiles of different heights.
[0024] Fig. 1 shows a sliding door 11, which has a horizontally displaceable leaf 15. The leaf 15 comprises a leaf frame profile 17 and a glass element 19 held by the latter. For the displacement of the leaf 15, an arrangement of several carriages is provided, which in Fig. 1 is not recognizable.
[0025] To support the sash 15 and a fixed sash (not shown) on a structural element such as a concrete floor, a threshold system 20 with an elongated threshold element 25 is provided. The threshold element 25 has a bottom side 26 facing the structural element and a top side 27 facing away from the bottom side 26. A guide rail 21 for supporting and / or guiding the movable sash 15 is attached to the top side 27 of the threshold element 25. In particular, the guide rail 21 supports and guides the rollers of the carriages of the sash 15 in a generally known manner, so that the sash 15 can be displaced along the threshold system 20.
[0026] On the underside 26 of the threshold element 25 there is an arrangement of two adjustment profiles 28, of which Fig. 1, only one is visible. The adjustment profiles 28 serve to adjust the height of the threshold system 20, as explained in more detail below.
[0027] The threshold element 25 comprises a base body 31 and two separate adapter profiles 32, 33 attached to the base body 31. Two different designs of adapter profiles 32, 33 are shown in Fig. 2 is shown in a separate illustration from the base body 31. The base body 31 preferably comprises a solid material profile made of a closed-cell foam, for example, a swollen PET foam. The adapter profiles 32, 33 can be designed as extruded profiles made of plastic, metal, or a composite material.
[0028] Two grooves 35 are formed on the base body 31, extending parallel to each other at a distance 37 along the entire length of the base body 31. Ribs 39, which are provided on the adapter profiles 32, 33, can be inserted into the grooves 35.
[0029] Each of the adapter profiles 32, 33 has a flat base section 41 with two opposing flat sides 42, 43. The upper flat sides 42 in the image are designed to engage the underside 26 of the base body 31. The ribs 39 protrude from the upper flat sides 42. Several differently shaped locking tabs 45 protrude from the lower flat side 43 of each of the adapter profiles 32, 33 in the image.
[0030] The Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 shows various threshold systems 20 according to the invention with ribs 39 inserted into the grooves 35. The adapter profiles 32, 33 can additionally be glued to the base body 31. The locking tongues 45 are to be brought into engagement with counter-locking tongues 47 arranged on adaptation profiles 48, 49, 58, 59. The locking tongues 45 and the counter-locking tongues 47 form coupling sections for a releasable coupling of the base body 31 to the adaptation profiles 48, 49, 58, 59.
[0031] The upper part of the Fig. 3 have a lower height than those in the lower part of the Fig. 3 illustrated adjustment profiles 49. Thus, the overall height of the threshold system 20 can be adjusted by selecting suitable adjustment profiles 48, 49 according to a default value.
[0032] In Fig. 3 shows that the upper part of the Fig. 3 shown adaptation profiles 48 and those in the lower part of the Fig. 3, the adapter profiles 49 shown differ in the design of the counter-locking tabs 47. However, due to the number and arrangement of the locking tabs 45 of the adapter profiles 32, both variants of adapter profiles 48, 49 can be releasably coupled to the base body 31. If adapter profiles with counter-locking tabs 47 that are not compatible with the locking tabs 45 of the adapter profiles 32 are to be used, only suitable adapter profiles must be provided. Replacing the base body 31 and, if applicable, the guide rail 21 is not necessary.
[0033] Examples include Fig. 4 alternatively designed adapter profiles 33 are shown, via which the adaptation profiles 58, 59 are coupled to the base body 31. As in Fig. 3, the adjustment profiles 58 shown in the upper part of the image and the adjustment profiles 59 shown in the lower part of the image differ in terms of the design of the counter-locking tongues 47. The counter-locking tongues 47 are also different from the counter-locking tongues 47 of the adjustment profiles 48, 49 according to Fig. 3. In addition, the upper part of the Fig. 4 shown adjustment profiles 58 have a greater height than those in the lower part of the Fig. 4 shown adaptation profiles 59.
[0034] Due to the detachable coupling of the adaptation profiles 48, 49, 58, 59 with the adapter profiles 32, 33 which can be separated from the base body 31, there is great flexibility with regard to the construction of floor threshold systems 20 and in particular with regard to the use of different types of adaptation profiles 48, 49, 58, 59.
[0035] The adapter profiles 32, 33 are not only advantageous for threshold systems 20 for sliding doors 11, but also for other types of thresholds in the field of building technology, for example thresholds for revolving doors, windows or gates.
