Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to an awning system comprising an awning, in particular an articulated-arm awning. The awning system is particularly suitable for installation on balconies.
[0002] Awnings, such as articulated-arm awnings, are usually attached to a location using mounting units, such as wall or ceiling brackets. The mounting units are pre-assembled at a location, and the awning is then attached to them. Attaching the awning to the mounting units is often complex and requires access to the awning from various sides. DE 70 46 018 U concerns a roll-up and roll-out awning, for example, for balconies and shop windows. CH 682 759 A5 describes a roll-up wall for wind and / or privacy protection. FR 2 853 922 A1 shows an awning. DE 10 2016 209 327 A1 describes an extendable balcony awning.
[0003] It is the object of the present invention to improve an awning system, in particular to provide an awning system that is easy to install, especially in confined installation locations.
[0004] This object is achieved by an awning system having the features specified in claim 1. The awning system comprises an awning, in particular an articulated arm awning, with an awning housing having a longitudinal axis and at least one mounting unit for mounting the awning system at an installation location. The at least one mounting unit each has a holding element that cooperates with a respective counter-holding element of the awning. For mounting the awning system, the holding element and the counter-holding element can be pushed into one another in an insertion direction running perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the housing and, in the pushed-in state, are held against one another in a form-fitting manner perpendicular to the insertion direction. Advantageously, the awning is therefore attached to the at least one mounting unit by linear insertion along the insertion direction.Complicated installation, such as hanging, pivoting, and / or positioning in multiple directions, is avoided. This simplifies installation, especially in confined spaces. When the awning system is assembled, the awning is secured to the respective mounting unit by the retaining element, which cooperates with the counter-retaining element.
[0005] The counter-holding element can be fixed to the awning housing in various pivot positions. For example, the counter-holding element can be fixed to different pivot positions around the housing's longitudinal axis. This allows the inclination of the awning, in particular its extension direction, to be adjusted without affecting the holding mechanism consisting of the holding element and counter-holding element, in particular the insertion direction.
[0006] The housing's longitudinal axis runs in the direction in which the awning housing has its greatest extension. The housing's longitudinal axis defines the main direction of extension of the awning housing. The housing's longitudinal axis runs, in particular, parallel to a roller shaft axis in a roller shaft for the awning fabric mounted in the awning housing.
[0007] A particular advantage is that the insertion direction is perpendicular to the housing's longitudinal axis. Therefore, no shifting or positioning along the housing's longitudinal axis is required. The available installation space can be utilized as much as possible along the housing's longitudinal axis. Installation, in particular the attachment of the awning to the at least one mounting unit, is not compromised by potentially restricted accessibility at the front ends of the awning housing.
[0008] Particularly advantageously, the insertion in the insertion direction allows installation from one side of the awning system, especially from the rear. This simplifies installation, for example, in the front area of a balcony where access from the front or end of the awning is limited.
[0009] The holding element and the respective counter-holding element are inserted into one another. This particularly means that the holding element or the counter-holding element forms a receptacle for the respective other element, into which the respective other element is inserted. For example, the counter-holding element can be inserted into a corresponding receptacle of the holding element. Of course, the holding element and the counter-holding element can also be functionally interchangeable. It is also possible to design the holding element and the counter-holding element in such a way that different components of the same are inserted into respective receptacles of the other element.
[0010] The awning system has at least one mounting unit. Preferably, the awning system has a plurality of mounting units, which are assigned to different areas of the awning, in particular along the longitudinal axis of the housing. Particularly preferably, the awning system has two mounting units. The mounting units are intended, in particular, for holding the awning in the area of its respective end faces relative to the longitudinal axis of the housing. If there are a plurality of mounting units, a holding element of the respective mounting unit and a counter-holding element of the awning are present. The holding elements and counter-holding elements can each be designed identically. It is also possible for different holding elements and counter-holding elements to be designed differently. For example, the holding element and counter-holding element of one mounting unit can be functionally interchanged compared to a holding element and counter-holding element of another mounting unit.
[0011] When inserted, the retaining element and the counter-retaining element are held together in a form-fitting manner perpendicular to the insertion direction. This form-fitting arrangement pre-positions, in particular pre-fixes, the awning to the at least one mounting unit. This facilitates further assembly, in particular further fastening of the awning to the at least one mounting unit. The form-fitting arrangement can act in one or more directions perpendicular to the insertion direction.
[0012] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the retaining element and the counter-retaining element are held together in a form-fitting manner in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis and / or in the direction of gravity when retracted. A form-fitting arrangement in these directions has proven particularly advantageous for pre-positioning, in particular pre-fixing. Preferably, the retaining element and the counter-retaining element are held together in a form-fitting manner in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis and in the direction of gravity when retracted.
[0013] The positive locking of the holding element and the counter-holding element in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis has the advantage that the awning system is precisely positioned in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis. Cumbersome positioning in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis is not necessary. A further advantage is that the pre-assembled awning system is stabilized in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis. For example, two or more mounting units can be provided along the housing's longitudinal axis. For assembly, one of the mounting units can be permanently mounted at the installation site. The one or more other mounting units can be mounted with play. The positive locking in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis pre-positions the awning and the mounting unit mounted with play in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis. The mounting unit mounted with play can then be permanently mounted at the precisely defined location.
[0014] A positive locking action in the direction of gravity between the holding element and the counter-holding element has the advantage of securing the awning against falling off at at least one mounting unit. Additional holding devices and / or manual holding of the awning are not required for further installation. This further simplifies installation. The positive locking action in the direction of gravity can be achieved, in particular, by ensuring that the insertion direction runs perpendicular to the direction of gravity.
[0015] Particularly preferably, the retaining element and the counter-retaining element are held together in a form-fitting manner in an at least partially inserted state, in particular in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis and / or in the direction of gravity. A form-fitting effect achieved in the partially inserted state simplifies further insertion.
[0016] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the holding element and counter-holding element are guided to one another along an insertion path, in particular linearly. The holding element and the counter-holding element form, in particular, a relative linear guide in the insertion direction. The guidance along the insertion path facilitates assembly and ensures particularly precise positioning. The guidance can be achieved, in particular, by the positive interlocking of the holding element and counter-holding element perpendicular to the insertion direction.
[0017] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the insertion direction runs perpendicular to the direction of gravity. Working against the direction of gravity is not necessary for insertion. Insertion can be assisted, in particular, by a guide and / or a positive fit between the retaining element and the counter-retaining element, even in the partially inserted state.
[0018] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the insertion direction runs parallel to the direction of gravity. The insertion direction can in particular run in the direction of gravity or against the direction of gravity. For example, the awning can be attached to the at least one mounting unit from above. In particular, the counter-holding element can be inserted into the holding element from above. The insertion is supported by the weight of the awning. Attaching from above also has the advantage that a positive fit in the direction of gravity can be easily achieved, for example by means of a stop that limits the insertion path. Attaching from above is, for example, particularly suitable for attaching the awning to mounting units designed as wall brackets.
[0019] It is also possible to slide the awning in from below. This makes installation particularly easy in hard-to-reach ceiling areas. For example, the awning can be installed in a groove cut into the ceiling, such as a balcony ceiling. After securing at least one mounting unit, the awning can be pushed in from below without requiring access from other sides. This allows, for example, the entire awning system to be sunk into the groove, so that it rests completely within the groove when retracted.
[0020] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, a stop is formed between the holding element and the counter-holding element to limit the insertion path in the insertion direction. The insertion, in particular the relative position of the holding element and the counter-holding element in the inserted state, is precisely defined. Advantageously, the stop creates a positive locking in the insertion direction, so that the awning is pre-positioned and held in the inserted state, even in the insertion direction.
[0021] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the counter-holding element is arranged outside the awning housing, in particular on its front side. The counter-holding element is easily accessible. The arrangement of the counter-holding element outside the awning housing has the particular advantage that the awning housing does not have to be (partially) opened for assembly. The awning can be provided pre-assembled and attached to the assembly units. Cumbersome handling, for example, partially extending the awning, is avoided. Counter-holding elements are preferably arranged on both front sides of the awning housing, for example on front end caps and / or bearing brackets, which cooperate with holding elements of the respective assembly units.
[0022] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the retaining element or the counter-retaining element, when inserted, forms a housing that is closed on at least three sides for the counter-retaining element or retaining element inserted therein. The housing, which is closed on at least three sides, ensures secure support. The penetration of dirt, moisture, or the like is reduced, particularly when the counter-retaining element is positioned outside the awning housing. This advantageously results in an attractive visual appearance.
[0023] Preferably, the holding element or the counter-holding element forms a receiving space for the respective other element. The receiving space can be closed, for example, on three sides in a plane normal to the housing longitudinal direction by a holding contour of the holding element or a counter-holding contour of the counter-holding element. The holding contour or the counter-holding contour can, for example, be perforated counter to the insertion direction to form an insertion opening. It is also possible, for example, for the receiving space to be closed on at least one side lying in the direction of the housing longitudinal axis by a corresponding side wall.
[0024] For example, the retaining element or the counter-retaining element can have a C-shaped retaining contour, particularly in a plane normal to the housing's longitudinal axis and / or in a plane normal to the insertion direction. This ensures a secure positive fit while simultaneously closing the housing. The other element can, for example, have a T-shaped retaining contour.
[0025] Particularly preferably, the retaining element and the counter-retaining element form a substantially closed contour in the inserted state, particularly in the normal plane to the longitudinal axis of the housing. This closed contour is visually appealing and prevents deterioration, for example, due to weather influences or the ingress of dirt.
[0026] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, each mounting unit is provided with a fixing means for fixing the holding element and the counter-holding element in the retracted state. The retracted state can be reliably secured with the help of the fixing means. Due to the positive locking perpendicular to the insertion direction, in particular in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis and / or in the direction of gravity, the awning is held in place without the fixing means having to absorb large forces. The fixing means can, for example, be designed as a snap-in connection, in particular such that the holding element and the counter-holding element snap into place in the retracted state. The fixing means is preferably detachable. This simplifies disassembly, reassembly, and maintenance of the awning system. For example, the fixing means can be a screw that is screwed into the holding element and / or the counter-holding element.
[0027] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the fixing means, in the assembled state, is guided in the insertion direction through the holding element or the counter-holding element and engages in a fixing receptacle of the counter-holding element or the holding element. In particular, the fixing means can be fastened in the fixing receptacle. The fixing acts effectively in the insertion direction and prevents loosening, in particular pushing out against the insertion direction. Passing the fixing means in the insertion direction also has the advantage that only one side is required for insertion and subsequent fixing. The force required by the fixing means is particularly low.
[0028] For example, the fixing means can be a screw that is guided through the through-hole of the holding element or the counter-holding element and is screwed into a fixing receptacle of the counter-holding element or holding element, designed as an internal thread, when assembled. The fixing is simple, reliable, and easily removable.
[0029] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, the retaining element is detachably attached to a mounting element of the at least one mounting unit. The detachable attachment of the retaining element to the mounting element increases flexibility during installation. In particular, the retaining element can be attached to the mounting element in different positions, especially at different heights. This allows the configuration of the awning system to be easily adapted to the installation site and / or customer requirements.
[0030] The mounting element can, for example, be a ceiling mount and / or a wall mount that is anchored in a ceiling or wall at the installation site. Preferably, the mounting element can be a clamping rod that serves for clamping installation between a floor and a ceiling at the installation site. Advantageously, the detachable fastening of the mounting element allows the position of the mounting element along the clamping rod to be varied.
[0031] The retaining element can preferably be constructed in multiple parts. For example, the retaining element can comprise a clamping component and a counter-clamping component for clamping attachment to the mounting element, for example, a clamping rod. The clamping force can be achieved, for example, by a screw connection between the clamping component and the counter-clamping component.
[0032] The detachable attachment of the retaining element to the mounting element also has the advantage that the retaining mechanism, consisting of the retaining element and counter-retaining element, is independent of the specific mounting element. The awning system is particularly modular. For example, the awning can be combined with different retaining elements.
[0033] According to a preferred aspect of the awning system, it has two mounting devices assigned to the respective end faces of the awning housing, with the counter-holding elements arranged on the respective end faces of the awning housing. The awning is held at the end face between the mounting devices. This ensures reliable support and positioning, particularly in the direction of the housing's longitudinal axis. Front-face mounting is particularly advantageous in confined spaces, for example, on a balcony. In particular, the awning can be pushed into the mounting elements from behind.
[0034] Further features, details, and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of several embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a perspective view of an embodiment of an awning system with an awning and mounting units for mounting the awning system at an installation site, Fig. 2 a detail II from Fig. 1 in partially exploded view, Fig. 3 a rear view of a detail of the awning system in the area of a front end of an awning housing of the awning, which is attached to one of the mounting units, Fig. 4 a cross section along the cutting edge IV-IV in Fig. 3, Fig. 5 a side view of the detail according to Fig. 3, Fig. 6 a longitudinal section along the cutting edge VI-VI in Fig. 5, Fig. 7 a side view of a detail of one of the assembly units in the area of a holding element, Fig. 8 a longitudinal section along a cutting edge VIII-VIII in Fig. 7, Fig. 9 a front view of the awning, Fig. 10 a longitudinal section along the cutting edge XX in Fig. 9, Fig. 11 a perspective view of another embodiment of an awning system in an assembled state and Fig. 12 a rear view of the awning system according to Fig. 11.
[0035] With reference to the Fig. 1 to 10, a first embodiment of an awning system 1 is described, which is entirely in Fig. 1. The awning system 1 comprises an awning 2 and two mounting units 3. The mounting units 3 serve to mount the awning system 1 at an installation location, for example, on a balcony. In the assembled state, the awning 2 is attached to the mounting units 3. The mounting units 3 each have a holding element 4, which, in the assembled state, cooperates with a corresponding counter-holding element 5 of the awning 2. In Fig. 1, the awning system 1 is shown in an intermediate assembly state in which the awning 2 is not yet attached and fastened to the assembly units 3.
[0036] The awning 2 has an awning housing 6 with a housing longitudinal axis G. The housing longitudinal axis G runs in the direction in which the awning housing 6 has its greatest extent. The awning 2 has a roller shaft mounted in the awning housing 6, from which an awning fabric can be unwound or wound onto it for retracting and extending the awning. The roller shaft axis runs parallel to the housing longitudinal axis G. The awning 2 is, in particular, an articulated arm awning.
[0037] The counter-holding elements 5 are mounted outside the awning housing 6 in the area of the respective end faces of the awning 2. In the illustrated embodiment, the counter-holding elements 5 are arranged in end caps 7 of the awning housing 6. The end caps 7 can also serve, for example, as bearing brackets for other components of the awning 2, such as the roller tube.
[0038] The counter-holding elements 5 can preferably be fixed to the awning housing 6 in different pivoting positions about the housing's longitudinal axis G. This allows the inclination of the awning housing 6 and thus the extension direction of the awning 2 to be adjusted independently of the orientation of the counter-holding elements 5.
[0039] The mounting units 3 are assigned to the respective end faces of the awning 2. Therefore, in the assembled state, the awning 2 is held at the end face by the respective mounting units 3.
[0040] The mounting units 3 each have a mounting element 8, which in the illustrated embodiment is designed as a clamping rod. The clamping rods serve to clamp the awning system 1 between a floor and a ceiling (not shown) at an installation site. This simplifies and increases the flexibility of the installation of the awning system 1, particularly on balconies.
[0041] The holding element 4 is releasably attached to the respective mounting element 8. For this purpose, the holding element 4 has a clamping component 9 and a counter-clamping component 10, which can be clamped to the mounting element 8. In the illustrated embodiment, the clamping force is achieved via clamping screws 11, which force-fit the clamping component 9 to the counter-clamping component 10. The clamping screws can be covered by a cover 12.
[0042] The releasable clamping mechanism of the holding element 4 enables, in particular, fastening of the holding element 4 at different positions along the mounting element 8. For example, the holding element 4 can be fastened at different heights to the mounting element 8, which is designed as a clamping rod. This allows the height at which the awning 2 is held to be flexibly adjusted.
[0043] To install the awning system 1, the mounting units 3 are first pre-assembled at the installation site. In the illustrated example, the mounting elements 8, designed as clamping rods, are pre-assembled between the floor and ceiling.
[0044] After pre-assembly of the mounting units 3, the awning 2 is attached to the mounting units 3. For this purpose, the holding elements 4 and the corresponding counter-holding elements 5 are inserted into one another. For example, the counter-holding element 5 is inserted into the respective holding element 4. The insertion takes place in an insertion direction E. The insertion direction E is perpendicular to the housing's longitudinal axis G. Installation is carried out by a linear insertion movement. Pivoting or other positioning of the awning 2 relative to the mounting units 3 is avoided. This simplifies installation, particularly in confined spaces, for example on balconies.
[0045] Advantageously, the insertion direction E, as shown in the exemplary embodiment, is also perpendicular to the direction of gravity S. The insertion of the holding elements 4 and the corresponding counter-holding elements 5 into each other occurs horizontally. This facilitates insertion.
[0046] During insertion, the counter-holding elements 5 are guided linearly on the respective holding elements 4. The holding elements 4 and the counter-holding elements 5 form a linear guide in the insertion direction E. In the inserted state, the holding elements 4 and the corresponding counter-holding elements 5 are held together in a form-fitting manner. The form-fitting action acts perpendicular to the insertion direction E, in the illustrated embodiment perpendicular to the housing's longitudinal axis G and the direction of gravity S. In the inserted state, the awning 2 is therefore pre-positioned and held. Manually holding the awning 2 is not required for further assembly.
[0047] In the assembled state, the holding element 4 and the respective counter-holding element 5 are fixed in the inserted state with the aid of a respective fixing means 13. In the illustrated embodiment, the fixing means 13 is a screw that is passed through a through-opening 14 of the counter-holding element 5 and engages in a fixing receptacle 15 of the holding element 4, designed as an internal thread. The fixing means 13 is inserted in the insertion direction E and screwed in. For fixing, therefore, only accessibility is required from the side from which the awning 2 is inserted. This simplifies installation, for example in the area of a balcony railing. In addition, the forces acting on the fixing means 13 are reduced.
[0048] In the following, a concrete embodiment of the holding element 4 and the counter-holding element 5 as well as their interaction are described in detail. Fig. 3 to 6 show the interaction of the holding element 4 and the counter-holding element 5 in the assembled state. Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 show the exemplary holding element 4 in detail. The Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 shows the exemplary counter-holding element 5 in detail. It is clear that alternative designs are also possible. In particular, the holding element 4 and the counter-holding element 5 can be interchanged or have different holding contours to create the positive connection.
[0049] The holding element 4 has a holding contour 16 that delimits a receiving space 17 for the counter-holding element 5. In a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis G of the housing, the holding contour 16 circumferentially surrounds the receiving space 17. The receiving contour 16 is interrupted circumferentially to form an insertion opening 18 through which the counter-holding element 5 can be inserted into the receiving space 17. Except for the insertion opening 18, the receiving space 17 is circumferentially enclosed by the holding contour 16 in the normal plane. In the plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis G of the housing, the holding contour 16 has a substantially C-shaped holding contour. Alternatively, other contour shapes can also be used, for example rectangular contours or the like.
[0050] The holding contour 16 is closed on the side opposite the insertion opening 18 in the insertion direction E. The holding contour 16 forms a stop surface 19 opposite the insertion opening 18, which limits the insertion of the counter-holding element 5 in the insertion direction E.
[0051] In the area of the stop surface 19, the fixing receptacle 15 is inserted into the holding contour 16.
[0052] In the illustrated embodiment, the stop surface 19 is formed on a stop projection 20 extending in the direction of the insertion opening 18. This allows the stop surface 19 to be defined particularly precisely. The stop projection 20 also cooperates with a corresponding stop receptacle 21 of a counter-holding contour 22 of the counter-holding element 5. This ensures, in particular, correct positioning and alignment of the through-opening 14 with respect to the fixing receptacle 15.
[0053] The retaining contour 16 has positive-locking webs 23. The positive-locking webs delimit the receiving space on the side facing the awning 2, thereby forming positive-locking grooves 24 extending in the insertion direction E. The positive-locking webs 23 are formed on the opposite sides of the retaining contour perpendicular to the insertion direction E and perpendicular to the housing's longitudinal axis G. The positive-locking webs 23 enable a positive lock in both directions perpendicular to the insertion direction E.
[0054] The counter-holding contour 22 of the counter-holding element 5 has counter-form-locking webs 25 corresponding to the form-locking grooves 24. The counter-form-locking webs 25 have a hook-shaped cross-section in a plane normal to the insertion direction E, thereby defining counter-form-locking grooves 26 running along the insertion direction E.
[0055] The counter-form-locking grooves 26 are closed at the ends in the insertion direction E by end projections 28.
[0056] The counter-holding contour 22 has a substantially T-shaped cross-section perpendicular to the housing longitudinal axis G in the region of the counter-form-locking grooves 26.
[0057] The counter-holding contour 22 has a central web 27, which runs between the counter-form-locking webs 25 in the insertion direction G. The through opening 14 is introduced into the central web 27.
[0058] Between the counter-form-locking webs 25 and the center web 27, the counter-holding contour 22 has recesses 29. The recesses 29 allow for tolerance compensation. In particular, insertion is facilitated and the form-locking is improved. The counter-form-locking webs 25 and the center web 27 can be connected to each other at the respective ends facing the insertion direction.
[0059] During assembly of the awning system 1, the counter-holding element 5 is pushed into the receptacle 17 of the holding element 4 until the counter-holding contour 22 abuts the stop surface 19 in the area of the stop receptacle 21. This precisely defines the insertion. During insertion, the counter-form-locking webs 25 engage in the form-locking grooves 24 of the holding contour 16. The form-locking webs 23 engage in the counter-form-locking grooves 26 of the counter-holding contour 22. The holding element 4 and the counter-holding element 5 are therefore guided linearly to one another in the insertion direction E via form-locking webs 23 and the counter-form-locking webs 25. In the inserted state, the holding element 4 and the counter-holding element 5 are held in a form-locking manner by the corresponding form-locking webs 23, 25.
[0060] After inserting the counter-holding element 5 into the holding element 4, the fixing means 13 is guided through the through-opening 14 and fastened in the fixing receptacle 15, for example by screwing it into it.
[0061] With reference to the Fig. 11 and Fig. 12, a further embodiment of an awning system 1a is described. Components that have already been described with reference to the embodiment in the Fig. 1 to 10 bear the same reference numerals and will not be explained in detail again. Structurally different but functionally identical components bear the same reference numerals, followed by an a.
[0062] The awning system 1a differs from the awning system 1 only in the design of the mounting units 3a. The mounting units 3a are designed as ceiling brackets, whose mounting elements 8a can be anchored to a ceiling at the installation location of the awning system 1a.
[0063] The holding elements 4a can be designed substantially identically to the holding elements 4, in particular with regard to their interaction with the counter-holding elements 5 of the awning 2. However, the holding elements 4a can be adapted to the mounting elements 8a, in particular with regard to their fastening thereto.
[0064] In further embodiments not shown in the figures, instead of the ceiling brackets, wall brackets that can be anchored in a building wall can also be provided.
