Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a fitting for corner cabinets, in particular for kitchen corner cabinets, with an interior space accessible from the front via a corner cabinet door and having a substantially rectangular plan view. The fitting comprises at least one one-piece shelf with a semicircular shape, at least one support for the shelf that is fixedly mounted in the interior of the corner cabinet, and at least one linkage that pivotally supports the shelf and moves it along a predetermined path from an interior position in the corner cabinet to an exterior position located substantially in front of the door opening. One end of the linkage is pivotably connected to the underside of the shelf about a shelf pivot axis. The other end of the linkage is pivotally mounted on the support. For this purpose, the support forms a vertical axis that can be fixedly positioned inside the corner cabinet, around which the handle can be pivoted. Such a fitting is known, for example, from EP 1 949 817 B1 or DE 20 2010 014 345 U1.

[0002] These fittings are primarily supplied to kitchen manufacturers, who install them in corresponding corner cabinets. The corner cabinet, complete with the fittings, is then transported to the end customer, where it is assembled as part of a kitchen. Transporting the corner cabinet with the fittings fully attached is particularly efficient. The interior of the cabinet is utilized for transporting the fittings, ensuring that all parts of the fittings are included. During assembly, parts of the fittings, especially the shelf, may be temporarily removed, particularly to facilitate the attachment of a worktop to the corner cabinet.

[0003] DE 20 2006 003 041 U1 discloses a transport safety device for the carousel mechanism of a corner cabinet. DE 43 03 832 A1 discloses a corner cabinet with a rotating carousel and a holding device for securing a shelf in position.

[0004] The object of the present invention is to provide a fitting that, after installation in a corner cabinet, can be easily and reliably transported, disassembled, and reassembled. Furthermore, the invention aims to provide a suitable corner cabinet.

[0005] According to the invention, this problem is solved by the fitting comprising at least one locking device which is designed to secure the handle and the tray against removal when the tray is in the inner position, and which is further designed to release the handle and the tray for removal when the tray is moved from the inner position to the outer position.

[0006] When transporting a corner cabinet equipped with a suitable fitting, the shelf is in the inward position. The corner cabinet door typically prevents the shelf from shifting from the inward to the outward position during transport. However, the locking device, which secures the shelf to the handle when the shelf is in the inward position, allows the corner cabinet to be easily positioned for transport in different locations without the risk of the shelf detaching from the handle. Therefore, the corner cabinet does not need to be transported in its final installation position; for example, it can also be transported rotated by 90 degrees. Transporting a corner cabinet equipped with the fitting according to the invention is thus simple and reliable.

[0007] When assembling the kitchen, the shelf can be easily removed from the corner cabinet. To do this, the shelf must be moved from its internal to its external position. The locking mechanism is designed to release the shelf for removal during this movement. At a specific point during this movement, the locking mechanism releases the shelf, allowing the installer to remove it. Once the shelf is removed, an installer can reach inside the corner cabinet and, in particular, install a worktop.

[0008] The locking mechanism is activated solely by moving the shelf from the inner position to the outer position. The shelf can be removed from the handlebar without tools. No further action is required from the operator. In particular, no operating devices such as a locking lever need to be used.

[0009] This ensures that the fitting according to the invention with the locking device can be manufactured particularly easily and cost-effectively.

[0010] Preferably, the locking device comprises a first locking element fixed to the shelf and a second locking element fixed to the linkage. The first and second locking elements are arranged such that they can pivot relative to each other about the shelf pivot axis when the shelf and linkage are engaged. The first and second locking elements are designed and arranged such that they engage with each other when the shelf is in the inward position. The first and second locking elements then secure the shelf against removal from the linkage by a movement parallel to the shelf pivot axis. Furthermore, the first and second locking elements are designed and arranged such that they disengage from each other when the shelf is moved from the inward to the outward position. The tray can then be removed by the handlebar operator with a movement parallel to the tray's pivot axis.

[0011] By using a suitably designed first locking element and a suitably designed second locking element, the locking mechanism of the fitting can be implemented in a simple and cost-effective manner. The locking mechanism can be shifted between a position that secures the shelf and the handlebar and a position that releases the shelf and handlebar for removal by simply pivoting the handlebar relative to the shelf. The shelf can be removed from the handlebar without tools when the first and second locking elements are in the position that releases the shelf for removal.

[0012] Preferably, a bolt is arranged on the shelf, and the handlebar has an eye. The bolt is located in the eye, with the first locking element being formed by an undercut in the bolt and the second locking element being formed by a projection located in the eye. The projection located in the eye and the undercut of the bolt are arranged such that they engage with each other when the shelf is in the inner position. When the shelf is moved from the inner to the outer position, the projection and the undercut disengage at a certain point, at the latest when the shelf is moved to the outer position. The bolt is then designed such that the projection located in the eye can be guided past the bolt. The shelf can then be removed from the handlebar. In particular, the bolt has a recess that is L-shaped when the bolt's outer surface is shown unfolded. The portion of the L-shaped recess extending parallel to a central axis of the bolt serves to guide the projection located in the eye past the bolt. The portion of the recess extending circumferentially around the bolt engages the projection located in the eye when the link and shelf are moved from the outer position towards the inner position and pivoted relative to each other. This portion forms the undercut.

[0013] Preferably, the projection is formed by a sleeve located in the eye, which is securely attached to the handlebar to prevent rotation. This allows for particularly simple manufacturing of the handlebar. The projection can be formed by the sleeve being subsequently inserted into an eye, which is otherwise round in cross-section. The sleeve is preferably formed by a plastic part that creates a sliding bearing between the shelf and the handlebar. Such a sleeve, forming a sliding bearing, enables a permanently reliable pivoting of the shelf and handlebar relative to each other.

[0014] To prevent rotation, the sleeve can be secured in the eye by either a positive fit or a force-fit. For a positive fit, the sleeve and the eye must first be correctly aligned. Once aligned, the sleeve can be pressed into the eye.

[0015] Preferably, the projection is spring-loaded or spring-mounted, and the projection and / or the bolt have at least one chamfer. With such a fitting, the shelf and the handle can be connected even when the handle and the shelf are in a position relative to each other in which the locking device secures the handle and the shelf against removal. The projection can spring back and be guided past the bolt until it engages in the undercut on the bolt.

[0016] Preferably, the projection is designed as a spring-loaded tongue on the sleeve. This allows the projection to be obtained in a particularly simple and cost-effective manner. The sleeve can be provided with a corresponding cutout, and the tongue can be bent towards the interior of the sleeve. This allows the projection located in the eye to be obtained particularly simply and cost-effectively.

[0017] Preferably, the bolt is provided with a run-out chamfer, particularly in sections along its circumference. The run-out chamfer is arranged such that the tongue forming the projection of the sleeve comes into contact with it when the tray is moved from the inner to the outer position. Furthermore, the run-out chamfer is designed such that when the spring tongue rests against it, the chamfer moves the spring tongue towards the eye of the linkage when the tray is subjected to a force parallel to its pivot axis. This causes the spring tongue to be pushed laterally by the run-out chamfer, allowing the tray to be separated from the linkage.

[0018] The use of a chamfer is particularly advantageous when a bolt is used that is first provided with a corresponding undercut around its entire circumference. The undercut is designed such that the spring-loaded tongue prevents the tray from being removed from the handle when the tongue rests against the undercut. The chamfer can then be applied section by section around the circumference of the bolt by at least partially removing the undercut. This can be achieved particularly easily by partially reshaping the bolt in the area of the undercut. Using such a bolt, the fitting can be manufactured particularly simply and cost-effectively.

[0019] Preferably, the fitting has a guide device that guides the tray when it is moved from the inner position to the outer position in such a way that the handle and the tray are pivoted relative to each other, so that the locking device releases the tray for removal from the handle when pivoting from the inner position to the outer position, or secures it against removal from the handle when pivoting from the outer position to the inner position.

[0020] Particularly preferably, the guide device is designed by a further support bearing that can be fixedly positioned inside the corner cabinet, as well as a further link that articulates to support the support bearing. The further link is pivotably arranged on the support bearing about a further vertical axis. By using a further link that also articulates to support the shelf at one end, i.e., is pivotably arranged on the shelf about a further shelf pivot axis, and at the other end is pivotably arranged about a further vertical axis inside the corner cabinet, a shelf can be realized in a particularly simple manner in which the shelf is controlled via the link and the further link such that, when the shelf is moved from the inner to the outer position, the shelf and the link are pivoted relative to each other in such a way that the locking device releases the shelf for removal. When moving the tray from the external position back into the interior, it secures it against removal by the handlebars.

[0021] Furthermore, the fitting preferably has an additional locking device designed to secure the additional handle and the tray in the inner position against removal of the tray by the additional handle, and further designed to release the tray for removal by the additional handle when moving it into the outer position.

[0022] In particular, the additional safety device between the additional handlebar and the shelf is designed in the same way as the safety device between the handlebar and the shelf.

[0023] In this way, a suitable fitting can be obtained particularly easily.

[0024] Preferably, the additional vertical axis formed by the support bearing can be arranged adjacent to a side wall defining the door opening of the corner cabinet, and the vertical axis formed by the support can be arranged adjacent to the boundary of the door opening opposite the side wall. In this way, a fitting can be obtained particularly easily in which the shelf can be moved from an internal position to an external position, in which the shelf is essentially located in front of the door opening of the corner cabinet.

[0025] The task is further solved by a corner cabinet which has an interior space accessible from the front via a corner cabinet door, essentially rectangular in plan, in which a fitting as described above is arranged.

[0026] Preferably, the additional vertical axis formed by the support bearing is located adjacent to a side wall defining the door opening of the corner cabinet, and the vertical axis formed by the support is located adjacent to the boundary of the door opening opposite the side wall. This allows for the simple creation of a corner cabinet with a shelf, in which the shelf can be moved from an internal position, where it is located inside the corner cabinet, to an external position, where it projects almost completely or completely beyond the door opening plane of the corner cabinet. In such an external position, the surface of the shelf is particularly easy to access for placing items on or removing items from the shelf.

[0028] Parts with identical or similar effects are provided with identical reference numerals, where appropriate. Individual technical features of the embodiments described below can be combined with the features of claim 1 and with the features of individual embodiments described above to form articles according to the invention.

[0029] Fig. Figure 1 shows a fitting 2 for corner cabinets in a corner cabinet E. The corner cabinet E has an essentially rectangular interior in plan view, which is accessible from the front via a corner cabinet door T. The fitting 2 includes a one-piece shelf 4. The shelf 4 is attached via a Fig. 1 support not shown 6 and a link 8 not shown as well as via a support bearing 10 and a further link 12 on its underside and fixed in the interior of the corner cabinet E.

[0030] In Fig. Figure 1 shows the shelf 4 in the inside position, in which the shelf 4 is completely arranged inside the corner cabinet E.

[0031] The fitting 2 includes locking devices 14. These are designed such that the shelf 4 is secured against removal from the link 8 or the further link 12 when the shelf 4 is in the inward position. In the illustrated embodiment, the locking devices 14 each consist of a bolt 16 arranged on the shelf 4 and a sleeve 18. The sleeve 18 is arranged in an eye 20. The eyes 20 are each arranged at one end of the link 8 and the further link 12, respectively. The sleeve 18 has a spring-loaded tongue 22. The bolt 16 is provided with an undercut 24.

[0032] Fig. Figure 2 shows the locking device 14 in the state in which the shelf is in the inner position. In this position, the tongue 22 of the sleeve 18 engages with the undercut 24 of the bolt 16. The sleeve 18 is secured against rotation and removal on the eye 20 of the link 8 or the other link 12. The shelf 4 cannot be separated from the link 8 or the other link 12, at least not easily.

[0033] The bolt 16 forms a first locking element and the sleeve 18 a second locking element. The tongue 22 of the sleeve 18 forms a projection that is located in the eye 20 of the link 8 or of the further link 12.

[0034] Fig. Figure 3 shows the fitting 2 in the corner cabinet E in the external position, in which the shelf 4 is almost completely moved in front of a door opening of the corner cabinet E. In this position, the locking devices 14 release the shelf 4 so that it can be removed by the handle 8 or the other handle 12.

[0035] Fig. Figure 4 shows a cross-section through one of the locking devices 14. It can be seen that in the outer position, the link 8 or the further link 12 is pivoted towards the tray 4, more precisely towards the bolt 16 which is fixedly arranged on the tray, such that the tongue 22 of the sleeve 18 arranged in the eye 20 of the link 8 or the further link 12 is arranged in the area of a run-out chamfer 26 of the bolt 16.

[0036] The discharge ramp 26 causes the tongue 22 of the sleeve 18 to move towards the eye 20 when the tray 4 is lifted from the handle 8 or the other handle 12. The tongue 22 is thus moved to the side, releasing the tray 4 for removal from the handle 8 or the other handle 12.

[0037] Fig. 1 to Fig. It can be seen from Figure 4 that the locking devices 14 secure or release the tray 4 on the handle 8 or the additional handle 12 solely by pivoting the handle 8 or the additional handle 12 relative to the tray 4. The tray 4 can be removed from the handle 8 or the additional handle 12 without tools when the tray 4 is in the outward position.

[0038] This is in the Fig. 5, Fig. 6, Fig. 7 to Fig. 8 shown again. Fig. 5 to Fig. Figure 8 shows tray 4 in a top view. Fig. Figure 5 shows shelf 4 in the inner position. Fig. Figure 8 shows the shelf 4 in the external position, in which it is arranged almost completely outside the interior of the corner cabinet E. Fig. 6 and Fig. Figure 7 shows two intermediate positions that the shelf 4 takes when moving from the inner position to the outer position.

[0039] The locking devices 14 are not necessarily designed such that the tray 4 can only be removed by the handlebar 8 or the other handlebar 12 once the final outward position has been reached. In the illustrated embodiment, the locking devices 14 secure the tray 4 in the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 positions shown against removal from the handlebar 8 or the other handlebar 12.

[0040] In the positions as they are in Fig. 7 and Fig. As shown in Figure 8, the locking devices 14 do not secure the tray 4 against removal. The tray 4 can also be removed in the Fig. The position shown in 7 is removed from the handlebar 8 or the other handlebar 12.

[0041] Fig. Figure 9 shows the underside of the shelf 4. Receptacles are arranged on the underside of the shelf 4, to which the bolts 16 are attached.

[0042] Fig. 10 or Fig. Figure 11 shows detailed images of the bolts 16. The undercuts 24 and the run-out chamfers 26 of the bolts 16 can be seen in each case.

[0043] The arrangement of these undercuts 24 or run-out slopes 26 is shown in the Fig. 12 to Fig. Figure 14 is shown again. It can be seen that the discharge slope 26 occupies a certain circumference around the bolt 16. This ensures that a locking device 14 formed with the bolt 16 releases the tray 4 for removal from the handle 8 or the other handle 12 even before it reaches its final outward position. The remaining circumference of the bolt 16 is provided with an undercut 24.

[0044] Preferably, the bolts 16 are first provided with an undercut 24 over their entire circumference. After the bolts 16 are attached to the shelf 4 as shown in the Fig. 9 to Fig. As shown in 11, a part of the undercut 24 is then transformed into the outlet slope 26.

[0045] The bolts 16 must be attached to the tray 4 in the correct orientation with the discharge chamfer 26 so that the locking devices 14 formed by the bolts 16 actually release the tray 4 when it is moved from the inside position to the outside position.

[0046] The manufacture of the shelf 4 is simplified by first mounting bolts 16 with an undercut 24 around their entire circumference, and only after mounting are certain areas of the undercut 24 formed into the outlet slope 26. The bolts 16 arranged on the shelf 4 do not change their position after being fixed to the shelf.

[0047] In the procedure described above, the bolts 16 do not need to be precisely aligned for mounting on the shelf 4. Only after the bolts 16 have been fixed to the shelf 4 are correctly aligned chamfers 26 incorporated into the bolts 16. This significantly simplifies the manufacture of the corresponding fitting 2.

[0048] Fig. Figure 15 shows the handlebar 8 and the further handlebar 12 with the support bearing 10. The carrier 6 for the handlebar 8 is not shown. The eyes 20 at the ends of the handlebar 8 and the further handlebar 12 are visible. Sleeves 18, each with a tongue 22, are inserted into the eyes 20. Fig. Figure 15 shows the sleeves 18 arranged outside the eyes 20 in a partial exploded view.

[0049] Fig. 16 and Fig. Figure 17 shows a corresponding sleeve 18 with the tongue 22. The sleeve 18 is designed as a plastic sleeve that forms a sliding bearing for the movement of the link 8 or the further link 12 relative to the shelf 4 or to the bolt 16 arranged on the shelf 4. The use of a sleeve 18 designed as a sliding bearing enables simple and permanently smooth pivoting of the link 8 or the further link 12 relative to the shelf 4. In the exemplary embodiment, the sleeves 18 are force-fitted in the eyes 20. After correct alignment of the respective sleeve 18 with the respective eye 20, it is pressed into the eye 20. Due to the force-fit connection of sleeve 18 and eye 20, the sleeve 18 is arranged in the eye 20 in a rotationally secure manner. Alternatively or additionally, sleeve 18 and eye 20 can also be positively connected to each other and / or fixed relative to each other in a rotationally secure manner. In the lower region, the sleeves 18 of the exemplary embodiment are provided with expanding elements. These elements secure the sleeves 18 against removal from the eye 20, particularly when a bolt 16 is arranged in the sleeve 18.

[0050] Fig. 18 to Fig. Figure 21 shows an alternative embodiment of a locking device 14. In the illustrated embodiment, the bolts 16 do not have a run-out chamfer 26 per se. Instead, a portion of the circumference of the bolt 16 in the area where the run-out chamfer 26 is to be located is completely removed. The run-out chamfer 26 is thus formed by the missing portion of the bolt 16 or a corresponding recess on the bolt 16. The bolts 16 also have undercuts 24. This is shown in Fig. 19 is particularly easy to see.

[0051] Fig. Figure 20 shows a cross-section through the locking device 14, which is formed with the bolt 16 according to the alternative embodiment. Fig. Figure 20 shows the locking device 14 in a state in which it secures the tray 4 against removal from the handle 8 or the further handle 12. The tongue 22 of the sleeve 18 arranged in the eye 20 of the handle 8 or the further handle 12 engages with the undercut 24 of the bolt 16.

[0052] Fig. Figure 21 shows a cross-section through the safety device 14 according to Fig. 20, when the tray 4 is moved into the outer position. The tongue 22 of the sleeve 18 is arranged in the area of the recess or the run-out slope 26 of the bolt 16. The bolt 16 can be in the Fig. The tray 4 can be easily moved out of the sleeve 18 to the position shown in Figure 21. The tray 4 can be removed from the handle 8 or the other handle 12.
