[1] Instrument panel (2) with at least one storage compartment (10;70) which defines a receiving space (11) and can be closed by a flap (14) arranged at the top with an inner side (15) relative to a vehicle height direction (9), wherein the receiving space (11) of the storage compartment (10;70) has a significantly smaller dimension in a vehicle longitudinal direction (7) than in a vehicle height direction (9), whereby the storage compartment (10;70) is not visible or only very limitedly visible from an interior (5) of a motor vehicle (1) equipped with the instrument panel (2), characterized by, that a mirror (16) is attached to the inside (15) of the flap (14) such that, when the flap (14) is open, the mirror (16) significantly improves the view into the receiving space (11) of the storage compartment (10;70) from the interior (5) of the motor vehicle (1) equipped with the instrument panel (2), wherein the mirror (16) is adjustable and hinged to the inside (5) of the flap (14) in such a way that the mirror (16) can be manually adjusted as required so that the view into the receiving space (11) of the storage compartment (10;70) can be quickly and easily adjusted by a user.
