Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a driver assistance system for a motor vehicle (1), wherein an environment sensing device of the motor vehicle (1) at least temporarily acquires environmental data describing the environment of the motor vehicle (1), generates potential parking spaces (4) for the motor vehicle (1) from the environmental data using parking criteria, and offers the potential parking spaces (4) to a user of the motor vehicle (1) for selection. It is provided that at least one of the parking criteria is determined using sensor data from at least one interior sensor, which is designed and configured to acquire a generation instruction from the user located in the interior of the motor vehicle (1) that influences the generation of the parking data. The invention further relates to a driver assistance system for a motor vehicle (1) and a computer program product.
