Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to folding table systems with umbrella-like structures and arrangements of the folding table systems in a vehicle.
[0002] In the future, passengers in automated vehicles will perform various activities that require a table. Therefore, concepts for table interiors are needed that provide a sufficiently large table surface and can be used as needed, while also allowing the table to be easily folded into a non-use position.
[0003] The publication DE 10 2022 115 231 A1 describes the importance of interior fittings in vehicles, which are adapted to the occupants or to the components to which the interior fitting is to be attached for the most comfortable use possible. For example, interior fittings are known that can be used as a table and / or storage space. Such interior fittings generally comprise two functional elements that, when folded, are intended to be stowed as space-savingly as possible and, when unfolded, are intended to provide a table top and / or storage area for the occupants, i.e., the vehicle occupants. The interior fitting described in particular in the publication DE 10 2022 115 231 A1 has functional elements that, when folded out, together form a table top.In a folded position, the functional elements are arranged essentially parallel next to a so-called tripod. The tripod is designed to be connected to the vehicle, preferably to the vehicle body. The tripod can be designed as a pivoting arm. The pivoting arm is pivotable, for example, relative to the vehicle, preferably relative to the vehicle body.
[0004] The invention is based on the object of creating at least one folding table system that can be arranged in a vehicle and that has the required structures and functionalities.
[0005] The folding table system according to the invention has a base element.
[0006] Furthermore, the folding table system has at least one table top segment which is arranged in an articulated manner on a crown element at the end of the base element.
[0007] It is provided that the at least one table top segment forms a (preferably flat) table surface with its upper side in a position of use of the folding table system in which the table top segment is arranged orthogonally to the base element.
[0008] Furthermore, at least one sliding element with a receiving opening or at least one sliding element with a shell-like receptacle is provided, wherein the base element is arranged in the receiving opening or in the shell-like receptacle.
[0009] The at least one sliding element or the at least one sliding element is displaceable relative to the base element and can be reversibly locked in the use position of the folding table system.
[0010] The folding table system also has at least one support element or support elements of a support element structure, which is / are arranged in an articulated manner on the one hand on the underside of the at least one table top segment and on the other hand in an articulated manner on the at least one sliding element or the at least one sliding element.
[0011] At least one support element or the support element structure and the table top segment can be reversibly folded from the use position into a non-use position of the folding table system, in which the at least one support element or the support element structure and the at least one table top segment are arranged folded substantially parallel to the base element.
[0012] Advantageously, it is provided that the crown element in the position of use is arranged at least in part in a receiving cutout which is formed by a segment-like cutout which is formed in the area of the articulated connection of the table top segment to the crown element in the end face of the at least one table top segment.
[0013] This also advantageously provides that an upper side of the crown element in the locked state of the locking and unlocking device in the use position of the folding table system, in which the crown element is arranged in the receiving cutout, together with an upper side of the table top segment as a table surface of a table, forms a step-free plane.
[0014] It is preferably provided that on the folding table system, only a plurality of rigid table top segments are arranged separately from one another in an articulated manner on the crown element at the end of the base element on the base element.
[0015] Advantageously, the table top segments, in the position of use, form with their upper sides together with the upper side of the crown element the flat table surface of the table.
[0016] In this design with rigid tabletop segments, several support elements or several support elements of the support element structure are articulated, on the one hand, directly on the undersides of the tabletop segments and, on the other hand, articulated to the at least one sliding element or articulated to the at least one sliding element, wherein the end faces of the tabletop segments facing one another in the use position lie against one another and form folding axes in the longitudinal extension of the end faces. In the use position, the crown element is arranged in receiving cutouts formed by segment-like cutouts that are formed exclusively in the region of the articulated connections of the tabletop segments to the crown element in the mutually facing end faces of the tabletop segments. In the non-use position, the end faces then do not lie against one another, since the tabletop segments fold out via the folding axes.
[0017] In another embodiment, the plurality of support elements or the plurality of support elements of the support element structure are arranged in an articulated manner, on the one hand indirectly on the undersides of the table top segments and, on the other hand, in an articulated manner on the at least one sliding element or in an articulated manner on the at least one sliding element.
[0018] In this embodiment, support spokes are arranged on the underside of the plurality of table top segments between the table top segments and the support elements engaging the undersides of the table top segments.
[0019] These support spokes extend radially from the crown element in an articulated manner with respect to the longitudinal extension of the base element, and their free ends extend essentially up to the end of the tabletop segments on the underside of the tabletop segments, so that all or only some of the tabletop segments are now supported umbrella-like by the support spokes and no longer directly by the support elements. The integrated support spokes also advantageously allow flexible tabletop segments to be arranged, as described below with reference to other further embodiments.
[0020] In preferred embodiments, a folding table system can comprise exclusively a plurality of rigid table top segments or exclusively a plurality of flexible table top segments or rigid and flexible table top segments, which - along folding axes - are each connected to one another by material and / or by means of hinge-like joint members and are further arranged in an articulated manner on the crown element at the end of the base element on the base element.
[0021] In accordance with the design principle of folding table systems, it is intended that the table top segments, in the position of use, form the flat table surface of the table with their upper sides together with the upper side of the crown element.
[0022] In these embodiments, it is provided that several support elements or several support elements of the support element structure are arranged in an articulated manner, on the one hand directly and / or indirectly via the support spokes on the undersides of the table top segments and on the other hand in an articulated manner on the at least one sliding element or in an articulated manner on the at least one sliding element.
[0023] Since the table top segments in these designs are connected to one another materially and / or by means of hinge-like joint members along the folding axes, tables are created in which the imaginary end faces facing one another in the position of use, as folds of the imaginary end faces of rigid and / or flexible table top segments, are spanned materially and / or by means of hinge-like joint members, forming a straight table top so that the imaginary end faces lie against one another.
[0024] This means that the folding axes are formed in the longitudinal extension of the folds, wherein the crown element, as before in the position of use, is arranged in the receiving cutout which is formed by the segment-like cutouts in the rigid and / or flexible table top segments.
[0025] The segment-like cutouts are formed exclusively in the area of the articulated connections of the table top segments to the crown element in the mutually facing end faces of the table top segments and advantageously form, in the position of use, the receiving cutout in which the crown element is arranged, in particular lies, planar relative to the table top segments.
[0026] In one embodiment, which is also explained in detail in the description of the figures, the rigid tabletop segments themselves are designed as flat support spokes shaped like tabletop segments. In other words, in this embodiment, the multiple support elements or the multiple support elements of the support element structure directly carry support spokes, which in this embodiment are shaped like tabletop segments.
[0027] The designs of the folding table systems, which exclusively feature multiple flexible tabletop segments or a combination of rigid and flexible tabletop segments, are also explained in detail in the figure descriptions. The use of flexible tabletop segments, alone or in combination, advantageously reduces the weight of the respective folding table system and can also help reduce the risk of injury in the event of a crash if the respective folding table system is in a use position during the crash.
[0028] In addition, designs of folding table systems require less storage space in the non-use position when arranging or using exclusively flexible table top segments or combinations of flexible table top segments with rigid table top segments if the folding table system is in a stowed position when not in use.
[0029] With regard to the design of the folding table system, it is further preferred that the base element arranged orthogonally to the table be arranged in the use position of the table in the geometric center of the table surface, on the underside of the table or at the edge of the table surface, as also shown in the figures and explained in the description of the figures. This advantageously allows the assignment of the folding table system to a vehicle seat to be adapted depending on the position in which the base element is arranged on the table.
[0030] It is provided that a folding table system is arranged in an interior of a vehicle, which has at least the features or groups of features mentioned according to the invention or at least one of the preferred embodiments.
[0031] With regard to the occupant safety of the persons in a vehicle, it is further provided that the folding table system is advantageously moved in a pre-crash phase by external power / external power control from its use position into its non-use position (II), in which a passenger of the vehicle does not come into contact with the folding table system in the event of a crash.
[0032] The folding table system can thus be moved into the use position and the non-use position not only manually, but also by external power-driven / external power-controlled operation, whereby a combination of manual operation and external power-driven / external power-controlled operation can also be advantageously provided and implemented.
[0033] In terms of arrangement, it is provided that a folding table system or, in accordance with the following “and / or formulations”, several folding table systems are arranged in the interior of a vehicle in its / their non-use position(s) in a stowed position, optionally in a storage cavity, wherein it is provided in particular that the folding table system a) laterally or centrally under a seat part of at least one vehicle seat and / or b) on / in a vehicle floor of the vehicle and / or c) on / in a rear side of at least one backrest of a vehicle seat in the vehicle and / or d) on / in an instrument panel of the vehicle and / or e) on / in a roof of the vehicle is / are arranged.
[0034] Analogously, it is provided on the arrangement side that the folding table system or, according to the following “and / or formulations”, several of the folding table systems in the interior of the vehicle in its / their positions of use in the position of use, in particular a) to the side or center in front of the seat part of at least one vehicle seat and / or b) on the floor of the vehicle and / or c) on one of the backrests of a vehicle seat in the vehicle and / or d) on the instrument panel of the vehicle and / or e) on the roof of the vehicle is / are arranged.

[0036] Fig. 1A shows a schematic, simple sectional view of a folding table system in a first locking and unlocking device embodiment in a non-use position II.
[0037] The folding table system comprises a base element 32. In this embodiment, the folding table system comprises two rigid table top segments 30S, each of which is arranged on its underside in an articulated manner on the end side of the base element 32 on the base element 32, wherein the two table top segments 30S, in a use position I of the folding table system in which the table top segments 30S are arranged orthogonally to the base element 32, form a flat table surface with their upper sides, lie against one another at their mutually facing end sides and form at least one folding axis K in the longitudinal extension of the end sides.
[0038] Furthermore, the folding table system comprises a sliding element 33 with a receiving opening in which the base element 32 is arranged, wherein the sliding element 33 is displaceable relative to the base element 32 and can be reversibly locked in the use position II by means of a locking element 38 or alternatively a locking and unlocking device 35.
[0039] It is preferably provided that two support elements 31 are arranged in an articulated manner on the one hand on the underside of the table top segments 30S and on the other hand on the sliding element 33, wherein the support elements 31 and the table top segments 30S can be reversibly folded from the use position I into a non-use position II of the folding table system, in which the support elements 31 and the table top segments 30S are arranged folded substantially parallel to the base element 32 about the at least one folding axis K.
[0040] In principle, the arrangement of only one support element 31 is also conceivable. This design will be discussed in connection with the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4G will be discussed separately.
[0041] A crown element 34 is (compare the top views in the Fig. 4A to 4G, Fig. 5, Fig. 7A, Fig. 7B, Fig. 10, Fig. 14, Fig. 15) in the use position I of the folding table system in a receiving opening A located on the at least one folding axis K, wherein the receiving opening A is formed by segment-like cutouts 30S A which are formed in regions in the end faces of the table top segments 30S.
[0042] The folding table system preferably has the two support elements 31 in the form of a support strut, which support the table top segments 30S in the use position I relative to a base element 32.
[0043] The folding table system comprises the two support elements 31, which are arranged in an articulated manner via support spokes 37 on the one hand on the underside of the table top segments 30S and on the other hand on the sliding element 33, wherein the support elements 31 and the table top segments 30S can be reversibly moved from the non-use position II into the use position I (see Fig. 1C, Fig. 2C) of the folding table system, in which the support elements 31 and the table top segments 30S are arranged folded substantially parallel to the base element 32 about the at least one folding axis K.
[0044] The first and a second locking and unlocking device embodiment variant, which will be explained in more detail below, thus have the special feature that the two support elements 31 engage two support spokes 37 which, with respect to the longitudinal extent of the base element 32, extend radially on the one hand from the crown element 34 and, on the other hand, are arranged with their free ends essentially up to the end of the table top segments 30S on an underside of the table top segments 30S.
[0045] The two support spokes 37 are connected to the two support elements 31 via joints.
[0046] The support spokes 37 are connected to the table top segments 30S at certain points, in certain regions or completely in the longitudinal extension of the support spokes 37 and support the table top segments 30S in the use position I of the folding table system.
[0047] According to one of the preferred embodiments of the folding table system with two table top segments 30S, two support elements 31 and two support spokes 37, the table 30 or the table top forms exactly one folding axis K, which preferably extends transversely to the radial extension of the support elements 31 and the support spokes 37.
[0048] Fig. 1A illustrates, in the non-use position II of the folding table system, that a spring element 36 is slightly pre-tensioned and supported between an upper side of the sliding element 33 and a lower side of the crown element 34.
[0049] The locking by means of the locking element 38 or alternatively the locking and unlocking device 35 ensures locking (see Fig. 1C) of the sliding element 33 of the table 30 when the sliding element 33 is in the Fig. 1C. The sliding element 33 moves from the non-use position II of the folding table system from bottom to top into the use position I of the folding table system onto a beveled surface of the locking element 38, which is pre-tensioned by a spring element and is then pressed into the base element 32.
[0050] Fig. Fig. 1B shows schematically in a simple sectional view using the same reference numerals the folding table system in the first locking and unlocking device embodiment during the movement of the table top segments 30S and the associated components from the non-use position II according to Fig. 1A into a use position I according to Fig. 1C before the run-up slope is reached.
[0051] The Fig. 1C finally shows the folding table system schematically in another simple sectional view in the first locking and unlocking device variant in use position I. The sliding element 33 now sits above the locking element 38, which snaps out of the base element 32 with spring support when the sliding element 33 is completely pushed over the locking element 38. The spring element 36 is now tensioned.
[0052] In use position I, the table top segments 30S are now orthogonal to the base element 32.
[0053] The base element 32 preferably has a telescoping device T. In other words, the base element 32 has a first base part element and a second base part element and a lockable and unlockable telescoping device T, so that a variable adjustment of the table height of the table 30 or the distance of the table 30 from an imaginary starting position relative to an imaginary plane at the end starting from the lower end of the base element 32 is possible. The telescoping device T is thus integrated into the base element 32.
[0054] The Fig. 2A shows schematically in a simple sectional view a folding table system with a table 30' in a second locking and unlocking embodiment in a non-use position II.
[0055] The difference to the first locking and unlocking device embodiment variant is that the components for transferring the table 30' from the non-use position II to the use position I are designed by means of a first sliding element 33A and a second sliding element 33B.
[0056] In addition, a first (upper) support element 31A and a second (lower) support element 31B are formed in a support element structure.
[0057] The first support elements 31A are arranged in an articulated manner on the one hand on the underside of the table top segments 30S and on the other hand on an upper side of the first sliding element 33A.
[0058] The second support elements 31B are arranged in an articulated manner on the one hand on the first support elements 31A and on an upper side of the second sliding element 33B.
[0059] In this locking and unlocking device embodiment, the spring element 36 is arranged between the underside of the first sliding element 33A and the upper side of the second sliding element 33B.
[0060] Furthermore, a first (upper) locking element 38A (in an analogous configuration to the first locking and unlocking device embodiment variant) and additionally (unlike in the first locking and unlocking device embodiment variant) a second (lower) locking element 38B are arranged and formed.
[0061] The folding table system therefore has a different design with regard to the support of the table top segments 30S, which gives the folding table system better stability.
[0062] The two first support elements 31A are in turn arranged in an articulated manner via support spokes 37 on the one hand on the underside of the table top segments 30S and on the other hand on the first sliding element 33A, wherein the support elements 31A and the table top segments 30S can be reversibly moved from the non-use position II into the use position I (see Fig. 2C) of the folding table system, in which the support elements 31A, 31B of the support element structure and the table top segments 30S are arranged folded substantially parallel to the base element 32 about the at least one folding axis K.
[0063] Fig. 2B shows schematically in a simple sectional view the folding table system in the second locking and unlocking variant during a movement from the non-use position according to Fig. 2A into a position of use according to Fig. 2C.
[0064] The locking mechanism in the first locking and unlocking device variant is implemented differently. The folding table system comprises a second locking mechanism with the second locking element 38B, which can be released from the base element 32. The second locking element 38B locks the folding table system in the non-use position II, with the second locking element 38B engaging the base element 32 essentially at the lower end.
[0065] In this locking and unlocking device embodiment, the spring element 36 is arranged in the non-use position II between the underside of the first sliding element 33A and the upper side of the second sliding element 33B under strong pretension in a small space between the mutually facing clamping surfaces of the sliding elements 33A, 33B.
[0066] By unlocking the second locking element 38B, the spring element 36 unfolds (compare Fig. 2) a clamping force of the folding table system such that the table top segments 30S are clamped so that the force which the user has to apply to clamp the table 30' into its use position I is at least partially applied by the pre-tensioned spring element 36.
[0067] The user extends the folding table system completely into the use position I via the second sliding element 33B by pushing the second sliding element 33B further in the longitudinal extension of the base element 32, and according to Fig. 2C, analogous to the first locking and unlocking device embodiment variant, slides over the first locking element 38A, by means of which the folding table system is now also locked in the use position I via the first locking element 38A.
[0068] The Fig. Figure 2C shows a schematic, simple sectional view of the folding table system in the second locking and unlocking variant in use position I.
[0069] The table 30' is arranged reversibly in the use position I by means of the first locking element 38A. By unlocking the first locking element 38A, the folding table system can be returned to the Fig. 2A shown non-use position II and locked again in the non-use position II by means of the second locking element 38B, whereby the spring element 36 is tensioned again and the position according to Fig. 2A. In the non-use position II, the second locking element 38B snaps into an opening in the base element 32, from which it is released when unlocked.
[0070] The further design corresponds to the first locking and unlocking device variant.
[0071] The Fig. 3 shows schematically in a highly simplified sectional view a further folding table system in a specific embodiment based on the first locking and unlocking device embodiment variant.
[0072] In this embodiment, a sliding element 33 according to the first locking and unlocking device embodiment variant is divided into a first sliding element 33.1 and a second sliding element 33.2.
[0073] Each slide element 33.1 is assigned at least one support element 31 and at least one support spoke 37 and at least one table top segment 30S.
[0074] This design makes it possible to construct a table 30" or a folding table system comprising two table top segments 30S which can be moved independently from the non-use position II into the use position I and vice versa via the slide elements 30.1 and 30.2. The spring element 36 and the locking element(s) are in Fig. 3 not shown.
[0075] According to the presentation in Fig. 3, two table top segments 30S are arranged, which can advantageously be operated independently of one another, so that, as before, the folding axis K is formed between the table top segments 30S.
[0076] In a preferred embodiment of this type of construction, however, only one table top segment 30S can be formed, so that a one-sided folding axis K is obtained in which the end face of the table top segment 30S is exposed at the edge and, in particular in the use position I, does not rest against an end face of the other table top segment 30S.
[0077] This "one-sided" folding, in which the base element 32 is not arranged centrally below the table 30", is Fig. 4G. The crown element 34 is now located at the edge of the table 30". This configuration is also advantageous when the folding table system is attached to a backrest 1 of a vehicle seat 100.
[0078] Further special features of the tables 30, 30', 30" designed in use position I according to the Fig. 4A to 4G will be discussed later.
[0079] Before doing so, it will be noted that the crown element 34, regardless of the locking and unlocking device design variants, has the special feature that its upper side forms a flat surface with the upper sides of the table top segments 30S in the use position of the tables 30, 30', 30", which is seen as one of the essential aspects of the invention.
[0080] This design is only possible if the table top segments 30S in the use position I of the folding table system are jointly connected by the segment-like cutouts 30S A Form a receiving opening A, whereby the segment-like cutouts 30S A are formed in some areas on the front sides of the table top segments 30S.
[0081] For clarification, for example, the Fig. 4G. In this embodiment, in which the folding table system can be folded on one side relative to the base element 32 (“one-sided” folding), four table top segments 30S form a semicircular receiving opening A in which the crown element 34, which is circular in the embodiment, is arranged.
[0082] In other words, depending on the number of table top segments 30S, the respective outer contour of the crown element 34 is formed by segment-like cutouts 30S A formed in the table top segments 30S.
[0083] The crown element 34 can take on any geometric shape, whereby a circular crown element 34 is described below only as an example representative of other geometric shapes in a preferred geometric embodiment.
[0084] The following description does not refer specifically to the locking and unlocking device of the tables 30, 30', 30" of the folding table systems. The following embodiments can be implemented or combined with all previously described locking and unlocking device variants.
[0085] In the previous description, the table top segment 30S or the table top segments 30S of the tables 30, 30', 30" are rigid, so that the respective table 30, 30', 30" obtains its stability by being stable due to the rigid table top segments 30S.
[0086] The invention provides further embodiments, which are explained below.
[0087] The object of the invention is to provide a table for a vehicle interior which, in its non-use position II, can be arranged, in particular stowed, in a space-saving manner in the vehicle interior, wherein a first aspect - as explained above - consists in that the table 30, 30', 30" can be folded out according to the principle of an umbrella or parasol, wherein it is advantageously ensured that the respective table 30, 30', 30" has a planar table surface in the use position I, in which in particular the crown element 34 is arranged steplessly in the plane of the produced table surface of the respective table 30, 30', 30".
[0088] It is further provided that the respective table 30, 30', 30" not only has exactly one support element 31, 31A, which carries the table top segment 30S directly or via exactly one support spoke 37 in the use position I, or which moves at least one rigid table top segment 30S reversibly from the non-use position II into the use position, but that for each table 30, 30', 30" several table top segments 30S are formed, which are rigid or flexible or in a combination of the table top segments 30S, 30S' rigid and flexible.
[0089] In other words, the table top segments 30S are made of different materials, which give the respective table top segments 30S, 30S' the rigid or flexible properties.
[0090] In particular, it is provided that not each table top segment 30S - as previously explained - is foldable on its own, but that the table top segments 30S can be brought together in an umbrella-like manner from a non-use position II into the use position, wherein one of the locking and unlocking device design variants can be selected in order to adjust the tables 30, 30', 30" in the use position I or the non-use position II and, if necessary, to lock them in the respective position(s).
[0091] In other words, in the following embodiments, the respective table 30, 30', 30" has folding axes F, which are formed by a plurality of rigid or flexible or rigid and flexible table top segments 30S, 30S' being connected to one another by material (material) and / or by means of hinge-like joint members, and the interconnected table top segments 30S are brought together via the folding axes F from the non-use position II into the use position I and vice versa.
[0092] In this case, each folding axis F is preferably assigned a support spoke 37 which is arranged below the folding axes F around which the table top segments 30S are folded.
[0093] This means that the support spokes 37 extend - as previously explained - radially from the crown element 34 with respect to the longitudinal extent of the base element 32 on the one hand and are arranged with their free ends up to the end of the table top segments 30S on an underside of the table top segments 30S on the other hand, wherein the support spokes 37 laterally delimit the table top segments 30S along the folding axes F in their radial extent.
[0094] The table top segments 30S form folds with imaginary end faces in the area of the folding axes F.
[0095] In non-use position II, the table top segments 30S are folded together and lie against the base element 32.
[0096] In use position I, the table top segments 30S are unfolded, i.e. they are clamped to form the table 30, 30', 30".
[0097] In use position I, the imaginary end faces of the table top segments 30S, designed as folds, lie parallel to one another, butt to butt, whereby it is further ensured that the crown element 34 and the table top segments 30S form a flat table surface in the use position I of the table 30, 30', 30".
[0098] The unfolded table top is thus preferably supported by several support spokes 37 in its use position I.
[0099] Each support spoke 37 can be assigned a support element 31. Generally, multiple support spokes 37 can also be assigned only one support element 31, which supports the tabletop segments 30S of the table 30, 30', 30", because the tabletop segments 30S are spanned in the use position over the support spoke 37, to which the tabletop segments 30S are connected to one another.
[0100] The support spokes 37 are brought into use position I in different radial directions by the crown element 34 and thereby clamp the table surface of the tables 30, 30', 30".
[0101] Based on the Fig. 4A to 4G are plan views of vehicle seats of the folding table systems in geometric embodiments of the tables 30, 30', 30", which differ from each other in terms of geometric and structural design.

[0103] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4A, the folding table system has a central crown element 34 located in the geometric center of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are supported by eight support spokes 37 in the use position I. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is oval. Only one of the support spokes 37 is identified by the reference symbol 37 and only one of the table top segments 30S is identified by the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is identified by the reference symbol F.
[0104] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4B, the folding table system has a central crown element 34 located in the geometric center of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are supported by six support spokes 37 in the use position I. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is essentially oval. Only one of the support spokes 37 is identified by the reference symbol 37 and only one of the table top segments 30S is identified by the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is identified by the reference symbol F.
[0105] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4C, the folding table system has a central crown element 34 located in the geometric center of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are supported by eight support spokes 37 in the use position I. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is rectangular.
[0106] Only one of the support spokes 37 is marked with the reference symbol 37, and only one of the tabletop segments 30S is marked with the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is marked with the reference symbol F.
[0107] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4D, the folding table system has a central crown element 34 located in the geometric center of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are supported by twenty support spokes 37 in the use position I. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is oval. Only one of the support spokes 37 is identified by the reference symbol 37 and only one of the table top segments 30S is identified by the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is identified by the reference symbol F.
[0108] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4E, the folding table system has a central crown element 34 located in the geometric center of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are supported by 20 support spokes 37 in the use position I. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is essentially oval. Only one of the support spokes 37 is identified by the reference symbol 37 and only one of the table top segments 30S is identified by the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is identified by the reference symbol F.
[0109] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4F, the folding table system has a central crown element 34 located in the geometric center of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are supported by 20 support spokes 37 in the use position I. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is rectangular. Only one of the support spokes 37 is identified by the reference symbol 37 and only one of the table top segments 30S is identified by the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is identified by the reference symbol F.
[0110] In the embodiment according to Fig. 4G, the folding table system has a crown element 34 located at the edge in the middle of the front edge of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S are carried in the use position I by five support spokes 37. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is rectangular. Only one of the support spokes 37 is marked with the reference symbol 37 and only one of the table top segments 30S is marked with the reference symbol 30S. Only one folding axis is marked with the reference symbol F. The table top segments 30S fold (compare, for example, the left illustration of the Fig. 3) from the non-use position II to the use position I on one side around the folding axis K.
[0111] The Fig. Figure 5 shows a plan view of a specific design variant of the folding table systems in the locking and unlocking device variants according to the Fig. 1A to 1C, 2A to 2C and the Fig. 3.
[0112] Shown are several support spokes 37, 37', which form or carry several table top segments 30S. The reference symbol F in Fig. 5 some of the folding axes F are plotted.
[0113] In a first specific embodiment, the table 30, 30', 30" is formed from rigid support spokes 37' which are designed to be flat such that they can serve as table top segments 30S.
[0114] Preferably, as shown, such rigid support spokes 37' are arranged in combination with the narrower support spokes 37 described so far.
[0115] That is, in an alternative second specific embodiment, at least one rigid table top segment 30S is formed directly by the flat support spoke 37' and at least one further table top segment is formed by a flexible table top segment 30S' which is arranged between two support spokes 37 as previously explained. In other words, the folding table system has narrow support spokes 37 and wide support spokes 37', wherein the wider support spokes 37 directly form the table 30, 30', 30" with their upper sides, while the narrow support spokes carry the flexible tabletop segment 30S' and span it in use position I. Both support spokes 37, 37', both the narrow support spokes 37 and the wide support spokes 37', i.e., wider than the narrow support spokes 37, are each assigned a support element 31 or a support element 31A of the support element structure with the support elements 31A, 31B.
[0116] The flexible table top segments 30S' in Fig. 5 are made of a flexible material, in particular a flexible membrane.
[0117] In a third specific embodiment (not shown), all table top segments 30S' can be manufactured and formed from flexible material, so that after clamping, the exclusively flexible table top segments 30S' form the table top of the tables 30, 30', 30".
[0118] The rigid and / or flexible table top segments 30S, 30S' are reversibly moved from the non-use position II into the Fig. 5 shown usage position I.
[0119] In particular, the flexible table top segments 30S' are clamped between two support spokes 37 to form the planar surface of the table 30, 30', 30" achieved in the use position I.
[0120] When unfolded, the sliding element(s) 33, 33A, 33B or the sliding element 33.1, 33.2 is moved along the base element 32, for example in the interior of the vehicle, in a vertical direction towards the crown element 34, whereby the support spokes 37 of the support element 31 are pivoted by approximately 90° into a horizontal position.
[0121] The distance between the support spokes 37 increases, causing the flexible tabletop segments 30S' to gain tension or become tighter between the support spokes. As explained, the tabletop segments 30S 30', 30" are locked in use position I, allowing the tabletop to bear load without collapsing.
[0122] Each table 30, 30', 30" can, as previously explained, be formed from a different number of support spokes 37 and support elements 31, between which, in the specific embodiment, "membrane table top segments" 30S' can be clamped.
[0123] The flexible “membrane table top segments” can be made of different flexible materials, whereby a stable surface is always provided by a strong tension between the support spokes 37.
[0124] In summary, the table 30, 30', 30" can be formed exclusively from rigid tabletop segments or exclusively from flexible tabletop segments (possibly made of different flexible materials). These rigid and flexible tabletop segments can be combined with each other. The rigid tabletop segments can be segments that are carried by a support spoke 37. The support spoke 37' can itself be designed to be so flat that it is designed as a tabletop segment.
[0125] Below, several arrangement variants of one of the folding table systems are suggested.
[0126] The Fig. 6A to 6D show sequential representations of the arrangement and adjustment possibilities of one of the folding table systems in a vehicle under a vehicle seat 100.
[0127] Depiction ( Fig. 6A) Sequence 1: Folding table system in a stowed position VP under the seat part 2 of the vehicle seat 100.
[0128] Depiction ( Fig. 6B) Sequence 2: Folding table system in an intermediate position ZP under the seat part 2 of the vehicle seat 100.
[0129] The base element 32 has at least one or two telescopic devices T, by means of which the telescoped base element 32 can be brought from the stowed position VP into a horizontal intermediate position ZP, in which an articulated joint is exposed relative to a front side of the seat part 2 in such a way that the folding table system can be brought into a use position around the articulated joint.
[0130] Depiction ( Fig. 6C) Sequence 3: Reversible folding of the base element 32 around the articulated joint from the intermediate position ZP into the use position GP as shown in sequence 4.
[0131] Depiction ( Fig. 6D) Sequence 4: The folding table system in the use position GP after it has been moved to its use position I.
[0132] To bring the base element 32 forward of the seat part 2, the base element 32 is folded and at least partially relocated forward of the seat part 2. First, the rear part of the base element 32 is telescoped forward, and then the joint is rotated 90° and locked. The base element 32 is now positioned vertically.
[0133] Subsequently, the other part of the base element 32 is telescoped upwards and the table 30, 30', 30" or the table top is folded out into the use position I. Both parts of the base element 32 can be reversibly locked in a stepped or unstepped manner using the respective telescopic device T.
[0134] This described design allows not only height adjustment of the table 30, 30', 30" but also individual adjustment of the table position in the interior in the x-direction, i.e., in the direction of travel of the vehicle in which the folding table system is installed. Deviating from the description of the rear base part element, a pure linear guide can also be used, by means of which the pivot point is moved in the x-direction.
[0135] In a variant of arrangement centrally under the vehicle seat 100, the geometric design of the folding table system with the table 30, 30', 30" is according to the Fig. 4E and Fig. 7A, where the description of the Fig. 4E analogue for the Fig. 7A applies.
[0136] In a variant of arrangement laterally under the vehicle seat 100, the geometric design of the folding table system with the table 30, 30', 30" is according to Fig. 7B and associated description.
[0137] In the geometric embodiment according to Fig. 7B, the folding table system has the crown element 34 located at a corner point of the front edge of the table 30, 30', 30" or the table surface, wherein the table top segments 30S, 30S' are supported in the use position I by three support spokes 37. The table surface of the table 30, 30', 30" is rectangular. All support spokes 37 are identified by the reference numeral 37, and only one of the table top segments 30S, 30S' is identified by the reference numeral 30S, 30S'.
[0138] Only one of the folding axes is marked with the reference symbol F. The table top segments 30S, 30S' fold out reversibly in a fan-like manner from the non-use position II into the use position I, wherein preferably a folding table system with the third locking and unlocking device embodiment variant is formed with the table 30", which in Fig. 3 and in connection with Fig. 3 is described.
[0139] The tables 30, 30', 30" can (if there is sufficient space) be installed in the floor in front of the occupant (in the middle, compare Fig. 10 or laterally (not shown). A support strut can be arranged, which is connected to the base element 32 in a foldable manner at one end. At the other end, the support strut rests on the body-side floor of a body-side storage cavity HR.
[0140] The Fig. 8A to 8D show sequential illustrations of the arrangement and adjustment possibilities of one of the folding table systems in a vehicle in front of a vehicle seat 100 into the body-side storage cavity HR of the vehicle.
[0141] Depiction ( Fig. 8A, Fig. 8B) Sequences 1, 2: Folding table system in use position I, in a use position GP, folded out of the vehicle's body-side storage compartment HR in front of the vehicle seat, supported by the support strut. The base element 32 is arranged vertically.
[0142] Depiction ( Fig. 8C) Sequence 3: Folding table system in an intermediate position ZP after folding from the use position I into the non-use position II. The base element 32 is still arranged vertically.
[0143] Depiction ( Fig. 6D) Sequence 4: The folding table system is folded into the body-side storage cavity HR while pivoting the base element 32 from the intermediate position ZP to a stowed position VP. The base element 32 and the support strut lie horizontally in the body-side storage cavity HR. The folding table system is shown shortly before the non-use position II.
[0144] According to the invention, according to the Fig. 9A, Fig. 9B, a closure element (in Fig. 9A is arranged in the open position below the seat-side, body-side plane of the body KR (not visible). In a preferred embodiment, the closure element is a sliding cover.
[0145] Fig. 9B shows the reversibly arranged sliding cover closing the storage cavity HR. The closure element protects the folding table system in its stowed position VP in the non-use position II with the closure element closed in the storage cavity HR from dirt and / or possible damage caused by an occupant.
[0146] The Fig. 10 shows a further top view of a vehicle seat 100 according to the arrangement of the folding table systems in the Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B with regard to the arrangement of the folding table systems on the floor in the body KR of the vehicle. For example, the folding table systems according to Fig. 4E should be arranged.
[0147] The folding table systems can be designed according to a summary of the Fig. 11A, Fig. 11B also centrally or laterally in front of an occupant in the rear of the vehicle from a rear side of the backrest 1 of a vehicle seat 100 in front of an occupant sitting on a vehicle seat 200 in a second row of seats on the other vehicle seat 200, from the non-use position II into the Fig. 11B shown use position I.
[0148] The folding table systems can be Fig. 12 may also be arranged centrally or laterally in front of an occupant sitting on a vehicle seat 100 opposite an instrument panel IT on the vehicle seat 100. The Fig. 12 shows one of the folding table systems in use position I, which is arranged or stored centrally or laterally in front of the occupant in the instrument panel IT.
[0149] According to a summary of the Fig. 13A to 13C, the folding table systems can be used in the non-use position II (compare Fig. 13A) in a or, as shown, on an underside of a roof D of the vehicle or in a roof D in a stowed position VP.
[0150] It is provided that a swivel joint is arranged at the end of the base element 32.
[0151] The base element 32 is pivoted from the stowed position VP around the pivot joint and from the horizontal position ( Fig. 13A) into a vertical position ( Fig. 13B), in particular pivoted into the use position GP.
[0152] In the vertical position, the pivot joint of the base element 32 is locked, and then the table 30, 30', 30" (still in non-use position II) is telescoped out by means of an initially unlocked telescopic device T and thereby brought to a desired height relative to the occupant, i.e. the person sitting on the vehicle seat 100.
[0153] The telescopic device T is then locked again, after which the respective folding table system, i.e. the table 30, 30', 30" is moved into the use position I (compare Fig. 13C) is reversibly unfolded. To clarify the position of the folding table system shown in the use position, the crown element 34 is shown next to the roof-side pivot joint (without reference symbol) on the roof D.
[0154] Without figures, it is disclosed that the respective folding table system can be moved from a stowed position VP to a door of the vehicle's use position GP on / off the center console, on / off a side wall, and / or on / off a vehicle door. In the stowed position VP, the folding table system is in the non-use position II, and in the use position GP, when use is desired, it is in the use position I. The folding table system can already be in a designated use position GP without having been folded into the use position I.
[0155] These comments are particularly important with regard to a pre-crash phase of the vehicle seat, in which a mechanism is preferably triggered which folds at least the table 30, 30', 30" of the respective folding table system into the non-use position II in a short time.
[0156] This allows objects on the table 30, 30', 30" or on the respective table top to be moved out of the field of action of the occupant sitting on one of the vehicle seats 100, 200 in the pre-crash phase before a possible crash.
[0157] This "occupant protection" non-use position of the table 30, 30', 30" can be carried out by electrically controlling the sliding element(s) 31, 31A, 31B or the sliding element(s) 31.1, 31.2. It is intended that, for example, according to the Fig. 1C and Fig. 2C, the respective locking element 38 or 38A is unlocked by an electrical control in the use position I of the respective folding table system, so that the respective folding table system folds up automatically with the support of the spring elements 36, whereby a desired “occupant protection” non-use position is advantageously achieved.
[0158] It is also intended, where appropriate, that the joints used to move the respective folding table system from the non-use position NP to the use position GP are used in the pre-crash phase to externally power the non-use position NP of the folding table system after the respective folding table system has been moved to the non-use position II. In other words, the folding table system is externally controlled in the pre-crash phase (phase before the first collision of a vehicle with another object) so that the desired "occupant protection" non-use position and the "occupant protection" non-use position can be or are set.
[0159] In other words, all adjustment functions of the respective folding table system, in particular of the tables 30, 30', 30" with the associated locking and unlocking device design variants, can be moved according to the invention by the user manually and / or by external power by one or more drives reversibly from the non-use position II to the use position I and / or reversibly from the non-use position NP to the use position GP. The wording "manually" and / or "externally powered" refers to the fact that partial functions can be effected manually or externally powered or that all functions can be effected either exclusively manually or exclusively externally powered.
[0160] It is preferably provided that a manual and / or power-driven unlocking and subsequent re-locking, for example by means of the Fig. 1C. During manual operation, the locking of the table 30 unfolded in use position II can be triggered by the unlocking mechanism 35, which includes, for example, the crown element 34, whereby the user advantageously does not have to bend under the table structure to unlock the folding table system or the table 30, 30', 30".
[0161] It is further disclosed that all support elements 31, 31A, 31B and support spokes 37, 37' explained in the description can have predetermined breaking points, whereby in the event of a crash, the forces of an impact of an occupant on the respective locking and unlocking device of the tables 30, 30', 30" can be specifically controlled, i.e., reduced, since the support elements 31, 31A, 31B and support spokes 37, 37 require lower forces for deformation, whereby the crash forces that may act on the occupant through the aforementioned components of the folding table systems are advantageously reduced.
[0162] Finally, the Fig. 14 and Fig. Figure 15 discloses that the base element 32 can be designed to be rotatable via a rotating mechanism, so that the table 30, 30', 30" can be rotated about the base element 32 in all described use positions GB.
[0163] According to the rotating double arrow in Fig. 14, a table 30, 30', 30" can thus be adjusted into various usage positions via the base element 32. For example, if the vehicle seats 100 of the first row are pivoted by 180° relative to the vehicle seats 200 of the second row, as will be the case in the future with autonomous driving, the table can be used in a "vis-a-vis" arrangement by all vehicle seats 100, 200 by being reversibly rotated about the base element 32, which is arranged rotatably on the body side.
[0164] According to Fig. 15 it is also proposed that, in accordance with Fig. 3 several different slide elements 33.1, 33.2 are arranged on the base element 32.
[0165] As a result, the table top segments 30S, 30S' can be brought into use position I independently of one another in different areas of the interior, in particular between the vehicle seats 100, 200, as required, as shown in Fig. 15. That is, starting from the description and illustration to the Fig. 14, two vehicle seats 100, 200 can each be provided with a table 30, 30', 30". The geometric design and arrangement of the folding table systems in the geometric center between the four vehicle seats 100, 200 creates the effect that those occupants or passengers who do not require tables 30, 30', 30" have more space available in the interior.
