Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating the drivetrain of a motor vehicle, wherein the deceleration of the motor vehicle is determined and, based on the determined deceleration, it is checked whether a strong deceleration of the motor vehicle is occurring. Furthermore, it is checked whether the wheel slip occurring at at least one drive wheel of the motor vehicle exceeds a limit value. If the limit value (SGrenz) is detected as being exceeded, a safety function (SVerz) is subsequently suppressed, which would otherwise intervene in the operation of the drivetrain if a strong deceleration is detected.
