Abstract

A method for operating an exhaust system (1) comprising at least one stack (2) with at least two electrochemical cells (3) for binding carbon dioxide (CO2), wherein a carbon dioxide-containing exhaust gas is supplied to the at least one stack (2) via a first exhaust line (4) as input gas and, after an electrochemical reaction, is discharged as output gas via a second exhaust line (5).
