Method for gas-solid contacting in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor

The present invention relates to a method for gas-solid contacting in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor by:(a) introducing into a reactor with bed length to bed diameter ratio below about 5.0, a primary gas consisting essentially of reactant(s) of the reaction to be carried out in the bed of solid particles through a primary gas distributor located at the reactor bottom at a superficial gas velocity Up, which is very close or equivalent to the minimum fluidization velocity Umf, required for achieving the incipient fluidization of the solid particles in the bed to obtain an emulsion phase consisting essentially of the solid particles and the primary gas with little or no formation of gas bubbles to achieve incipient fluidization or liquid-like behavior of fluidizable solid particles;(b) forming gas bubbles in the incipiently fluidized bed by introducing through a secondary gas distributor located immediately above the primary gas distributor a secondary gas, selected from one of the reactants which is used in excess of that required for the reaction stoichiometry, steam, an inert or a mixture of two or more thereof at a superficial gas velocity, Us, which is related to the superficial velocity of the primary gas such that a ratio of the superficial velocity of the secondary gas to the superficial velocity of the primary gas Us / Up, is in the range from about 0.5 to about 10.0, preferably from about 1 to about 5.

Composite porous membrane and process for producing the same

[Problems]To provide a membrane material that realizes effective and efficient separation of a target substance of micron size, being easy to handle and that can be worked into various forms; a blood filtration membrane and a leukocyte removing filter unit that realizes a substantial reduction of filter material volume while retaining high capability of removing leukocytes, thereby reducing the loss of hemocyte suspension; and a cell culturing diaphragm suitable for co-culturing and a relevant method of cell culturing. [Means for Solving Problems]There is provided a composite porous membrane comprising a porous membrane comprised of an organic polymeric compound, and a supporting porous membrane adjacent to the porous membrane, characterized in that the organic polymeric compound constituting the porous membrane penetrates in at least part of a surface adjacent to porous membrane of the supporting porous membrane, the porous membrane having specified opening ratio, average pore diameter, standard deviation of pore diameter, ratio of through pore, average membrane thickness, standard deviation of membrane thickness and internal structure, and that the supporting porous membrane has communicating pores of 0.5D μm or greater average pore diameter. Further, there are provided a blood filtration membrane comprising the composite porous membrane; a leukocyte removing filter unit comprising the composite porous membrane as a second filter; and, utilizing the composite porous membrane, a cell culturing diaphragm and method of cell culturing.

Electrical terminal array with insulation displacement connectors and surge arrestors

The application describes an electrical terminal comprising a pair of longitudinally disposed contact members, each having a pair of insulation displacement connectors connectors, one at either end thereof, thereby to link two wire pairs, wherein. each contact member comprises a contact arm each extending in a defined direction, the contact arms leading to a pair of arrestor contacts spaced so as to accept a surge arrestor. The defined direction is preferably substantially transverse to the contact members. This enables the surge arrestor to be placed to one side of the electrical terminal, avoiding interference with ingoing and outgoing wires and avoiding inhibiting access to test points. The contact members are preferably parallel within the electrical terminal. The arrestor contacts are preferably spring contacts, thereby to enable replacement of the arrestor. The contact arms more preferably end at the spring contacts. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the contact arms are non-contiguous with the contact members but are joined thereto. This join can be by way of a lug extending from the edge of one of the two members and engaging within a slot of the other. This provides a particularly simple but effective electrical contact. The lug is preferably on the contact members, thereby placing the slot on the contact arms. This also avoids the need to bend a single-piece blank, thereby risking damage to or distribution of the IDC connector. The terminal will ideally be enclosed within a plastic housing, and this will preferably comprise a recess for receiving the surge arrestor, the arrestor contacts extending into the recess.

The invention relates to a nitrogen-doped carbon-coated manganese monoxide composite material with a one-dimensional porous core-shell structure and a preparation method of the nitrogen-doped carbon-coated manganese monoxide composite material. The composite material is doped with nitrogen, is in a one-dimensional porous carbon-coated manganese monoxide core-shell structure; manganese monoxide is in a nano rodlike structure; and an outer layer of a manganese monoxide nanorod is coated with an amorphous carbon layer. The nitrogen-doped carbon-coated manganese monoxide composite material is obtained by an in-situ polymer coating method accompanied by burning. The preparation method of the composite material is simple and novel, and high in adjustability; and meanwhile, nitrogen-doped carbon can store lithium ions. Due to the ingenious design, the specific capacity of the composite material exceeds the theoretical specific capacity of the manganese monoxide; furthermore, according to the composite material, the problems of low capacity and fast attenuation caused by poor conductivity and high volumetric strain of a pure manganese monoxide material are solved; and the composite material has excellent electrochemical properties, cycle lifetime and structural stability.

Radio-frequency adaptor of floating structure

The invention discloses a radio-frequency adaptor of a floating structure. The radio-frequency adaptor of the floating structure comprises a plug connector and a socket connector, wherein the plug connector is formed by sleeving a first inner conductor, a first insulator and a first outer conductor, and the socket connector is formed by sleeving a third outer conductor with a second inner conductor, a second insulator and a second outer conductor. The radio-frequency adaptor of the floating structure is characterized in that the first inner conductor is provided with a spherical cutting groove structure, the first outer conductor is provided with a spring, a clamping jaw and cutting grooves, the second outer conductor is provided with a flange provided with a sunk table structure, the second inner conductor is provided with a rigid plug hole, and the plug connector is plugged with the socket connector so as to achieve axial and radial floating connection. Compared with the prior art, the radio-frequency adaptor of the floating structure has functions of axial and radial floating and high match reliability, effectively lowers incapability of achieving normal engagement of the connectors caused by disalignment of positions, avoids damage or poor match of the connectors and is particularly applicable to various products which are mounted on a panel so that electrical property consistency is guaranteed.
