Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a motor vehicle, in particular a racing car, with a tear-off visor attached to a driver's helmet that can be peeled off and removed by the driver as needed. In racing, for example in Formula 1, thin, transparent films, so-called tear-off visors, are attached to the drivers' helmets to improve their visibility during the race. If soiled by oil, dirt, or insects, these films can be torn off by the drivers to immediately restore clear visibility without having to make a pit stop to clean the helmet. State of the art

[0002] Although the use of tear-off visors in racing has proven extremely beneficial, their disposal during the race poses a significant problem. The torn-off films often end up on the racetrack or in undesirable areas of the vehicle, such as the brake cooling system or under the chassis. Such foreign objects can cause mechanical damage such as tire blowouts or malfunctions in technical systems, thus leading to failures or accidents. Furthermore, experts speculate that tear-off visors could be used tactically to deliberately damage rival vehicles. Although such intent is difficult to prove, the deliberate placement of visor residue on the racetrack in critical situations can certainly influence the race result. Disclosure of the invention

[0003] One problem is that the removed tear-off visors are released uncontrolled into the environment during the race, where they not only pose a potential danger to other vehicles but also have a negative impact on the environment. The present invention solves this problem through the use of magnetic fastening technology. According to claim 1, a magnetic strip is attached to the tear-off visor, which allows the newly removed visor to be attached to another magnetic surface in the vehicle's cockpit. In this way, all removed visors can be collected in an orderly manner without compromising safety or obstructing the driver's vision.

[0004] This approach offers the advantage that waste generated during the race, especially the previously problematic visor residue, can be immediately secured in a designated location in the cockpit. This significantly increases safety on the track, as no more foils fly around uncontrollably, get into sensitive vehicle components, or endanger other drivers. Furthermore, environmental aspects are also taken into account, as the collected visors can be disposed of or recycled in an environmentally friendly manner after the race. The invention can be designed in such a way that the aerodynamics of the vehicle are not compromised and no additional stress or restrictions are created for the driver.

[0005] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent patent claims. In particular, it is possible to dimension the magnetic strip on the tear-off visor in such a way that easy gripping and controlled removal of the visor is ensured, while the magnetic surface mounted in the cockpit is positioned so that the driver can reach it intuitively without distracting from the race. Likewise, the magnetic holding device in the cockpit can be designed so that vibrations or shocks in the vehicle prevent the collected foils from accidentally coming loose. Short description of the drawings

[0006] The drawings illustrate exemplary embodiments. Fig. 1 shows a state-of-the-art tear-off visor that has already landed on the race track and entered the brake cooling system of another vehicle. Fig. Figure 2 illustrates a magnetic tape according to the invention attached to the tear-off visor of a driver's helmet. Fig. 3 shows the cockpit with a magnetic surface to which the driver can securely attach the torn-off visors immediately after removing them from the helmet. Embodiments of the invention

[0007] A specific embodiment will now be explained with reference to the drawings. The motor vehicle according to the invention is equipped with a helmet having at least one tear-off visor, to the edge of which a thin, yet sufficiently strong magnetic strip is attached. This magnetic strip allows the driver to easily grasp the torn-off visor piece, handle it safely, and immediately attach it to a magnetic receiving device provided in the cockpit after removing it from the helmet surface. All visor remnants are collected there without flying around uncontrollably during the race or landing on the track. The magnetic surface in the cockpit can be positioned, for example, on an interior side panel so that the driver can reach it intuitively without taking their eyes off the road.

[0008] This not only makes a significant contribution to the safety of other drivers and the smooth running of the race, but also enables environmentally friendly disposal of the used visor layers. After the race, the remaining visor residue can be easily removed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. The solution presented is simple, effective, and can be integrated into existing vehicle and helmet concepts without compromising the vehicle's performance or aerodynamic properties.
