The application relates to a test device for a first electric motor, wherein the first electric motor is mechanically connectable to a second electric motor of the test device, wherein the test device is configured to drive the second electric motor, to detect a position signal of the second electric motor, to detect a current signal of a torque-generating current of the second electric motor, and to determine a stress in the mechanical connection as a function of the current signal and the position signal.
