Material for the production of basic refractory products

Abstract

A material for the production of basic refractory products is presented and described, comprising, based on the total weight of the material, 40 to 99 wt.% of a resistor containing CaO, selected from the group consisting of sintered doloma, melted doloma, melted magdol, sintered magnesia, melted magnesia and a mixture thereof, and 1 to 30 wt.% synthetic γ-dicalcium silicate (γ-C2S) and / or synthetic γ-dicalcium silicate (γ-C2S), wherein the synthetic γ-dicalcium silicate (γ-C2S) and / or γ-dicalcium silicate (γ-C2S) is produced from a mixture comprising CaO and SiO2 in a molar ratio of 2:1 to 2.5:1. Furthermore, the use of the material for the production of shaped bodies or masses, as well as a method for producing a fired refractory basic shaped body, is described.
