Abstract

A magnetic rotor test structure comprises a stator, which defines a shaft, and a rotorette mounted on the shaft, the angular position of which relative to the shaft is adjustable. A magnet carrier is housed within the rotorette. The magnet carrier contains multiple permanent magnets that define a single permanent magnet rotor pole. An electrical current source is connected to the stator such that a current supplied by the electrical current source excites the stator.
