Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a construction machine such as a hydraulic excavator and the like, which is equipped with, for example, a cooling device.
[0002] In general, a hydraulic excavator, as a typical example of construction machinery, consists of a lower vehicle traveling body, an upper rotating body rotatably mounted on the lower traveling body, and a working device tiltably provided on the front side of the upper rotating body.
[0003] The hydraulic excavator here includes a small hydraulic excavator for performing work on a narrow construction site or the like where there are obstacles along the edge. This small hydraulic excavator is called, for example, a small rotary excavator or a small rear-mounted rotary excavator. These small hydraulic excavators are configured to form an arc-shaped counterweight and place it near the center of rotation, so that when the upper rotary body is operated to rotate, its rear side is accommodated largely within the vehicle width of the lower traveling body.
[0004] The upper rotary assembly of the small hydraulic excavator consists of a rotary frame forming a supporting structure, an engine mounted on the rear of the rotary frame and driving a hydraulic pump, a cooling fan that generates cooling air in the intake direction by rotating / driven by the engine, a radiator disposed facing the cooling fan and cooling the engine coolant by passing the cooling air generated by the cooling fan, and an oil cooler for cooling the hydraulic oil with the cooling air. The radiator and the oil cooler are arranged in parallel with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air so that both can receive the cool cooling air (see, for example, WO 2009 / 101935 A1).
[0005] WO 2009 / 101935 A1 relates to a construction machine with a heat exchange device. A top cover is provided at an upper position of a support structure of the heat exchange device, and an upper opening is configured to be provided in a removable cover therefor. The upper opening allows cool cooling air to flow into the support structure and be supplied through the space between the radiator.
[0006] JP 2007-76602 A relates to an air baffle for a heat exchanger of a construction machine. Air baffles are provided at a predetermined distance from the heat exchanger on an upstream side of a cooling air flow direction.
[0007] JP H10-280959 A relates to a cooling device for a construction machine.
[0008] JP 2011-140839 A relates to a construction machine with a radiator and an oil cooler, which are arranged like doors relative to a cooling fan.
[0009] WO 2012 / 139848 A1 relates to a device for guiding air from a front surface of a motor vehicle to a radiator positioned in the front area of the motor vehicle.
[0010] The hydraulic excavator of WO 2009 / 101935 A1 is designed to be compact in size, so that when the upper rotating body is rotated / operated, it is accommodated within the vehicle width of the lower traveling body, thus reducing the installation space on the rotating frame. At this time, the space around the operator's seat, where an operator performs operations, the engine, hydraulic pump, fuel tank, hydraulic oil tank, and the like must be sized according to the specifications of the hydraulic excavator, and the space for their installation cannot be kept small. Therefore, the radiator and oil cooler are installed in a small space.
[0011] The radiator serves to cool the engine coolant and requires a size (cooling capacity) based on the engine's emissions, power, and so on. Therefore, if a larger radiator is required, the size of the oil cooler is reduced by the proportion by which the radiator is made larger. As a result, the cooling capacity of the oil cooler decreases and the temperature of the hydraulic oil rises, causing a problem in that the hydraulic oil change interval becomes shorter.
[0012] In view of the above-described problem encountered in the conventional art, an object of the present invention is to provide a construction machine in which, even if one of the radiators arranged in parallel is small, the cooling capacity can be improved by supplying the cooling air in an amount necessary for cooling to this small radiator.
[0013] To solve the problems, the features of the independent claims are proposed. Preferred developments are in the dependent claims.
[0014] (1) A construction machine according to the present invention comprises: a vehicle body; an engine mounted on the body and driving a hydraulic pump; a cooling fan for generating cooling air in a suction direction by rotating / driving it using the engine as a drive source; a first cooling device provided on the upstream side in a flow direction of the cooling air, facing the cooling fan, and cooling a fluid to be cooled by passing the cooling air; and a second cooling device arranged in parallel with the first cooling device so as to be parallel to the first cooling device with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air, and cooling another fluid by means of the cooling air.
[0015] In order to solve the aforementioned problem, a feature of a configuration employed by the present invention is that, on the suction side of the cooling air passed through the first cooling means and the second cooling means, a cooling air adjusting member for adjusting the ratio of an amount of cooling air supplied to the first cooling means to an amount of cooling air supplied to the second cooling means is provided.
[0016] With this arrangement, since the size of the body is kept small, even if the first cooling device or the second cooling device cannot be made large, the cooling air adjusting member can guide the cooling air in a required air amount to the small cooling device with respect to the cooling air sucked from the outside by the cooling fan.
[0017] As a result, since the required amount of cooling air can be supplied to the small cooling device with respect to the two cooling devices arranged in parallel, even the small cooling device can reliably cool a fluid to be cooled because there is an appropriate amount of cooling air flow, so that the cooling capacity can be improved.
[0018] (2) The cooling air adjusting member is arranged at a peripheral position between the first cooling means and the second cooling means so as to extend in the vertical direction; and the cooling air adjusting member is arranged with an inclination so as to direct the cooling air in a required direction.
[0019] With this arrangement, simply by tilting the cooling air adjustment element provided at the edge position between the first cooling device and the second cooling device toward the first cooling device side, the amount of cooling air supplied to the second cooling device can be increased. As a result, even when the area of an inlet opening of the second cooling device is small, a fluid can be reliably cooled by increasing the amount of cooling air.
[0020] (3) According to the present invention, the cooling air adjusting member is formed as an air flow guide plate formed of a plate body extending in the vertical direction to guide the flowing cooling air to each of the cooling devices; and the air flow guide plate is provided to be capable of changing the angle to the cooling air and / or to a zone exposed to the cooling air.
[0021] For example, with this arrangement, when the angle of the airflow guide plate is changed, the airflow guide plate is tilted significantly toward the first cooling device, and the amount of cooling air directed toward the first cooling device can be reduced, while the amount of cooling air directed toward the second cooling device can be increased. When the airflow guide plate is tilted slightly toward the first cooling device, a small amount of cooling air can be directed toward the second cooling device.
[0022] In contrast, if the zone of the airflow guide plate is changed, for example, the zone of the airflow guide plate that receives the cooling air is increased, and a large portion of the cooling air for the first cooling device can be directed to the second cooling device. If the zone of the airflow guide plate is made small, a small amount of cooling air can be directed to the second cooling device. As a result, the ratio of cooling air supplied to each of the cooling devices can be easily adjusted. Furthermore, the cooling air adjusting member can be easily formed from a plate body extending in the vertical direction.
[0023] (4) According to the present invention, the first cooling means is a radiator for cooling an engine cooling liquid for cooling the engine, and the second cooling means is an oil cooler for cooling a hydraulic oil supplied to various actuators; and the cooling air adjusting member is arranged at a peripheral position between the radiator and the oil cooler so as to ensure a required amount of air for cooling the radiator and the oil cooler.
[0024] By adjusting the ratio of cooling air to be supplied to the radiator to the oil cooler by the cooling air adjusting element, this arrangement can ensure the required amounts of cooling air and can effectively cool the engine coolant and hydraulic oil.
[0025] (5) According to the present invention, a length dimension in a direction orthogonal to the flow direction of the cooling air of the radiator is formed larger than the length dimension in a direction orthogonal to the flow direction of the cooling air of the oil cooler; and the cooling air adjusting member is arranged with an inclination toward the radiator side so that the cooling air required for cooling is ensured to the oil cooler with a small length dimension. As a result, with respect to the cooling air supplied to the radiator and the oil cooler, an appropriate amount of cooling air required for cooling the hydraulic oil can be supplied to the small oil cooler.
[0026] (6) According to the present invention, the body includes a lower vehicle traveling body and an upper revolving body rotatably provided on the lower traveling body and having a working device mounted on the front side; the upper revolving body has a revolving frame constituting a supporting structure body, an arc-shaped counterweight provided on the rear side of the revolving frame for balancing the weight of the working device, the engine placed on the front side of the counterweight and mounted on the revolving frame in a side-to-side state extending in the left-right direction, and an oil tank placed on the front side of the engine and provided on the revolving frame and containing a hydraulic oil.accommodates a fuel; and the first cooling device and the second cooling device are arranged in parallel in the front-to-back direction in a position in a space formed by the counterweight, the engine, and the oil tank.
[0027] With this arrangement, even when the counterweight is formed in an arc shape and the installation space for the cooling device cannot be ensured to be wide, such as in a rotary-type construction machine, the first and second cooling devices can be arranged in parallel in the front-to-back direction in a space formed by the counterweight, the engine, and the oil tank. The size of one of the two cooling devices can be reduced due to the installation space, but a required amount of cooling air can be ensured even for the smaller cooling device by the cooling air adjustment element. [0028] Hereinafter, a small rear-swing hydraulic excavator with a radiator and an oil cooler as a typical example of a construction machine according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0029] Fig. 1 to 11 show a first embodiment of the present invention. This first embodiment illustrates a canopy-type hydraulic excavator with a canopy covering the top of an operator's seat. In the canopy-type hydraulic excavator, a radiator and an oil cooler are provided as cooling devices in a heat exchanger.
[0030] In Fig. 1, designated at 1 is a crawler-type hydraulic excavator as a construction machine according to the first embodiment. This hydraulic excavator 1 is composed of a lower vehicle traveling body 2, an upper rotary body 3 rotatably mounted on the lower vehicle traveling body 2, and a working device 4 tiltably provided on the front side in a front-to-back direction of the upper rotary body 3 and performing excavation of soil and sand, etc. The lower vehicle traveling body 2 and the upper rotary body 3 constitute the chassis of the hydraulic excavator 1.
[0031] As in Fig. 2, the upper rotary body 3 has a width dimension in a left-right direction substantially equal to the vehicle width of the lower traveling body 2 and is formed to have a substantially round shape when viewed from above so that it does not protrude significantly beyond the vehicle width of the lower traveling body 2 when performing a rotary operation. That is, the hydraulic excavator 1 is formed as a small rear-rotating hydraulic excavator in which a rotary radius R of a counterweight 9, described below, is substantially accommodated within the vehicle width of the lower traveling body 2, assuming that the upper rotary body 3 rotates on the lower traveling body 2 with a rotary center as O and the rotary radius as R.The upper rotating structure 3 consists of a rotating frame 5, a floor member 6, a seat 7 for an operator, a canopy 8, a counterweight 9, an engine 10, a hydraulic oil tank 13, a fuel tank 14, a heat exchanger 17 and the like, which will be described below.
[0032] The rotating frame 5 forms a supporting structure of the upper rotating structure 3. As in Fig. 3, this revolving frame 5 is composed of a flat plate-shaped bottom plate 5A extending in a front-to-back direction through an intermediate portion in the left-right direction, a left vertical plate 5B and a right vertical plate 5C which are installed upright and have a substantially V-shape and are separated from each other in the left-right direction on an upper surface side of the bottom plate 5A, a support bracket 5D provided at a front end portion of each of the vertical plates 5B and 5C and which supports the work device 4, a left side frame 5E and a right side frame 5F which are arranged outside in the left-right direction and extend in the front-to-back direction, extension beams 5G which extend in the left-right direction from the bottom plate 5A and each of the vertical plates 5B and 5C and are connected to each of the side frames 5E and 5C, respectively.5F, and a case mounting frame 5H provided to be arranged on a left front side of the left vertical plate 5B.
[0033] A mounting base 5J is provided on the back of the rotating frame 5, extending from an upper part of the right vertical plate 5C to the right side. A support frame 18 of the heat exchanger 17, described below, is attached to this mounting base 5J, which has three screw holes 51, for example, at intervals in the front-back direction, for fixing the support frame 18.
[0034] The base element 6 is provided on the housing mounting frame 5H on the left front side of the rotating frame 5 (see Fig. 2 and Fig. 3). An operator who operates the hydraulic excavator 1 stands on this floor element 6, and a seat 7 is provided for the operator to sit on. The canopy 8 is provided on the floor element 6 so as to cover the upper side of the operator seat 7, and the canopy 8 is designed as a four-column canopy consisting of four leg sections 8A and one roof section 8B.
[0035] The counterweight 9 is mounted on a rear side of the rotating frame 5. This counterweight 9 is intended to perform weight distribution with the work device 4 and is formed as a heavy object with a largely arcuate shape with the turning radius R from the turning center O. The counterweight 9 used in the small rear-swing hydraulic excavator 1 is formed to have an arcuate shape with a central part in the left-right direction protruding toward the rear, and, for example, a right end portion 9A extends toward the front until it reaches the heat exchanger 17 described below, being curved in an arcuate shape.
[0036] The engine 10 is placed on the front side of the counterweight 9 and mounted in a side-placed state and extends in the left-right direction on the rotating frame 5. On the left side in the left-right direction of the engine 10 is a hydraulic pump 11 (which is in Fig. 2 is indicated by a dotted line) that increases the pressure of (pressurizes) the hydraulic oil supplied from the hydraulic oil tank 13, which will be described below, and supplies the same. The hydraulic oil returned by driving the various actuators provided on the working device 4 and the like is returned to the hydraulic oil tank 13 after being cooled by an oil cooler 21, which will be described below.
[0037] [Numeral 12 denotes an intake-type cooling fan provided on a rotating shaft 10A of the engine 10. The cooling fan 12 is provided on the side opposite the hydraulic pump 11 (right side in the left-right direction) with the engine 10 therebetween. This cooling fan 12 is rotated / driven by the engine 10 so that outside air is sucked in as cooling air through an intake port 15A1 of a side cover 15A constituting an outer cover 15 described below, and supplied to the heat exchanger 17.
[0038] The hydraulic oil tank 13 is provided on the front of the engine 10 and is also located on one side of the canopy 8 and provided on the rotating frame 5. The hydraulic oil tank 13 forms an oil tank that stores the hydraulic oil to be supplied to the hydraulic pump 11. The fuel tank 14 is provided on the rotating frame 5 adjacent to the right side of the hydraulic oil tank 13, and the fuel tank 14 forms an oil tank that stores fuel to be supplied to the engine 10. Note that the hydraulic oil tank 13 and the fuel tank 14 may be arranged on opposite sides in the left-right direction. Furthermore, the hydraulic oil tank 13 and the fuel tank 14 may be arranged so as to be adjacent to each other in the front-backward direction.
[0039] The outer cover 15 is provided on the rotating frame 5 from a rear side to a side of the canopy 8. This outer cover 15 is intended to cover the engine 10, the hydraulic pump 11, the heat exchanger 17, and the like, which are mounted on the rotating frame 5. On the right side of the outer cover 15, the arc-shaped side cover 15A is provided to cover a space between the counterweight 9 and the fuel tank 14 opposite the engine 10 (cooling fan 12). On this side cover 15A, the intake port 15A1 (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 4) intended to suck in the outside air as cooling air when the cooling fan 12 is rotated / driven.
[0040] As in Fig. 2 and Fig. 4, a space 16 is formed at a position on the right rear side of the upper revolving structure 3, which is formed by the counterweight 9, the engine 10, the hydraulic oil tank 13, the fuel tank 14, and the side cover 15A of the outer cover 15. This space 16 is provided by utilizing a space on the right rear side of the small rear-swing hydraulic excavator 1. The space 16 is formed as a triangular installation space because the right end portion 9A of the counterweight 9 and the side cover 15A are inclined. The heat exchanger 17, which will be described later, is arranged in this space 16.
[0041] Next, the heat exchanger 17 according to the first embodiment for cooling the engine coolant for cooling the engine 10 and the hydraulic oil for operating the various actuators will be described with reference to Fig. 2 to 11.
[0042] In Fig. 2, numeral 17 designates the heat exchanger, which is provided in the space 16 on the rear side of the rotating frame 5 so as to face a front surface of the cooling fan 12 of the engine 10. This heat exchanger 17 is intended to cool the engine coolant and hydraulic oil, whose temperatures are elevated, using cooling air. The heat exchanger 17 consists of the support frame 18, a radiator 20, the oil cooler 21, a connecting bracket 22, an air flow guide plate 26, and the like, which will be described below.
[0043] The support frame is designated 18, which forms an outer frame of the heat exchanger 17. This support frame 18 is arranged such that the direction orthogonal to the flow direction of the cooling air by the cooling fan 12, i.e., the front-back direction with respect to the upper rotary structure 3, is the longitudinal direction with respect to the engine 10, which is mounted in the side-mounted state and extends in the left-right direction as in the first embodiment. This support frame 18 is formed as a frame structural body that surrounds and supports the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21.
[0044] As in Fig. As shown in Fig. 8, the support frame 18 is composed of a substantially quadrangular frame plate portion 18A, an attachment plate portion 18B formed by bending a lower part of the frame plate portion 18A toward an upstream side with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air, a first side plate portion 18C and a second side plate portion 18D provided opposite both end portions of the frame plate portion 18A in a direction orthogonal to the flow direction of the cooling air, and an upper plate portion 18E attached to an upper part of the side plate portions 18C and 18D. The upper plate portion 18E supports an upper portion of the radiator 20, and a support plate portion 18F supporting a lower portion of the radiator 20 is provided on the lower side of the frame plate portion 18A.Note that an upper surface plate 18A1 of the frame plate portion 18A forms a cover mounting plate on which the outer cover 15 is mounted.
[0045] As in Fig. As shown in FIG. 11, on the side of the hydraulic oil tank 13, a bolt hole 18G for attaching the oil cooler 21, which will be described later, is provided in the frame plate portion 18A at a distance in the vertical direction. Furthermore, three bolt insertion holes 18H are provided on the attachment plate portion 18B, corresponding to the three bolt holes 5J1 provided on the attachment base 5J of the revolving frame 5.
[0046] As in Fig. 3, the support frame 18 is attached to the attachment base 5J of the rotating frame 5 in a state where the radiator 20, the oil cooler 21, and the like, which will be described later, are assembled. At this time, by screwing a screw 19 inserted into the screw insertion hole 18H into the screw hole 5J1 of the attachment base 5J, the support frame 18 is attached to the rotating frame 5.
[0047] The cooler 20 is the first cooling device provided in the support frame 18. As shown in Fig. 2, the radiator 20 is placed on the back side, which is the side of the counterweight 9 and is arranged in the support frame 18. The radiator 20 is arranged with an orientation that is orthogonal to the flow direction of the cooling air by the cooling fan 12 of the engine 10, ie, the front-back direction of the rotating frame 5, as the longitudinal direction. Here, as shown in Fig. 7, the cooler 20 is formed to have a length dimension L1 in the front-to-back direction, and this length dimension L1 is larger than the length dimension L2 of the oil cooler 21 (L1 > L2).
[0048] The radiator 20 serves to cool the engine coolant, the temperature of which has risen due to the cooling of the engine 10. As in Fig. As shown in Fig. 11, this radiator 20 consists of an upper tank 20A, a lower tank 20B, and a heat radiation part 20C, and each of the tanks 20A and 20B is connected to a water jacket (not shown) of the engine 10. Screw holes 20D are provided on the end surfaces of the upper tank 20A and the lower tank 20B on the side of the oil cooler 21, respectively. The screw 19 for attaching the connecting bracket 22, which will be described later, is screwed into these screw holes 20D.
[0049] As in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, moreover, in the radiator 20, the upper tank 20A is supported by the upper plate portion 18E of the support frame 18 through a vibration isolating member 20E, and the lower tank 20B is supported by the support plate portion 18F through the vibration isolating member 20E.
[0050] The oil cooler, as the second cooling device, is designated 21 and is provided on the side of the hydraulic oil tank 13 in the support frame 18. This oil cooler 21 is arranged parallel to the cooler 20 such that it extends parallel to the flow direction of the cooling air. As a result, the oil cooler 21 is arranged such that it forms a largely flush plane with the cooler 20. As shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. 11, the oil cooler 21 consists of an upper tank 21A, a lower tank 21B, and a heat radiation part 21C, which is largely the same as the radiator 20. Here, the oil cooler 21 is arranged with an orientation orthogonal to the flow direction of the cooling air by the cooling fan 12, that is, in the front-back direction of the rotating frame 5, as the longitudinal direction. As shown in Fig. 7, the oil cooler 21 is configured to have a length dimension L2 in the front-to-back direction, and this length dimension L2 is smaller than the length dimension L1 of the cooler 20 (L1>L2). Therefore, the oil cooler 21 is configured as a cooling device that is smaller than the cooler 20.
[0051] On the other hand, at one end edge on the side of the first side plate portion 18C (front side) of the support frame 18, two mounting brackets 21D are provided at a distance in the vertical direction, and at one end edge on the side of the radiator 20 (rear side), two mounting brackets 21E are provided at a distance in the vertical direction.
[0052] The oil cooler 21 can be attached to the frame plate portion 18A of the support frame 18 by screwing the bolt 19, which is inserted into the attachment bracket 21D, into the bolt hole 18G of the support frame 18. On the other hand, the oil cooler 21 can be attached to the cooler 20 through the connecting bracket 22 by screwing the bolt 19, which is inserted into the attachment bracket 21E, into a bolt hole 23D of a bracket body 23 on the cooler 20 side, which forms the connecting bracket 22, which will be described below. At this time, the hydraulic oil returned from various actuators flows at high temperature into the upper tank 21A of the oil cooler 21, and the lower tank 21B allows the cooled hydraulic oil to flow to the hydraulic oil tank 13.
[0053] Reference numeral 22 denotes the connecting bracket provided between the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21. This connecting bracket 22 serves to connect the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 in a parallel state. On the connecting bracket 22, the air flow guide plate 26, described below, is integrally provided in a position on an upstream side when the cooling air flows to the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21.
[0054] As in Fig. 9 and Fig. As shown in Fig. 10, the connecting bracket 22 is composed of the bracket body 23 formed into an L-shaped member by means of a long plate portion 23A extending in the vertical direction and a pair of bent portions 23B and 23C obtained by bending a long side of the long plate portion 23A, an upper side attachment portion 24 formed by bending an upper side of the bracket body 23 into a curved shape, and a lower side attachment portion 25 formed by bending a lower side of the bracket body 23 into a curved shape. Screw insertion holes 24A and 25A are provided at each of the attachment portions 24 and 25. On the other hand, on the bent portion 23B of the bracket body 23, which is located on the upstream side of the cooling air, two screw holes 23D are provided at a distance in the vertical direction.
[0055] The connecting bracket 22 screws the bolt 19 inserted into the bolt insertion hole 24A of the upper side mounting portion 24 into the bolt hole 20D of the upper tank 20A, and screws the bolt 19 inserted into the bolt insertion hole 25A of the lower side mounting portion 25 into the bolt hole 20D of the lower tank 20B, in a state where the bracket body 23 is formed to follow the end surface on the oil cooler 21 side with respect to the radiator 20. As a result, the connecting bracket 22 can be mounted on the radiator 20.
[0056] On the other hand, after the connecting bracket 22 is attached to the radiator 20, each of the mounting brackets 21E of the oil cooler 21 is brought into contact with the bent portion 23B of the bracket body 23, and the bolt 19 inserted into the bracket body 23 is screwed into the bolt hole 23D. As a result, the connecting bracket 22 can connect the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 in a parallel state with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air, that is, in a series state in the front-backward direction of the rotating frame 5.
[0057] Denoted at 26 is the air flow guide plate as a cooling air adjusting member provided on the connecting bracket 22. This air flow guide plate 26 is provided on the upstream side in the flow direction of the cooling air with respect to the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21, that is, on the intake sides of the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21. This air flow guide plate 26 serves to adjust the ratio of the amount of cooling air to be supplied to the radiator 20 and the amount of cooling air to be supplied to the oil cooler 21. More specifically, the air flow guide plate 26 serves to ensure a large amount of cooling air to the small oil cooler 21 in which the length dimension L2 is smaller than the length dimension L1 of the radiator 20. Therefore, the air flow guide plate 26 is arranged with an inclination toward the radiator 20 side so that the supply ratio of the cooling air is adjusted.
[0058] The airflow guide plate 26 is formed of a rectangular plate body extending in the vertical direction and is integrally formed with the bent portion 23B of the connecting bracket 22. That is, the airflow guide plate 26 extends in a state of being bent toward the upstream side from the end edge of the bent portion 23B constituting the bracket body 23 of the connecting bracket 22. Note that a configuration may be such that the airflow guide plate 26 and the connecting bracket 22 are formed of different members and connected to each other by welding or screwing.
[0059] As in Fig. 7, moreover, the air flow guide plate 26 has the inclination angle of an angle α on the side of the radiator 20 and is formed to have the width dimension of a dimension W1 from the connecting bracket 22. Since the air flow guide plate 26 is formed as an integral article with the connecting bracket 22, the air flow guide plate 26 can be easily provided only by performing a normal work of connecting the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 through the connecting bracket 22, without having to add a number of assembling processes.
[0060] Note that, assuming an angle parallel to the flow direction of the cooling air is 0°, the inclination angle α of the air flow guide plate 26 is defined as an angle inclined from this α = 0° position toward the radiator 20 side. Therefore, when the inclination angle α = 0°, the air amount of the cooling air flowing toward the oil cooler 21 is not increased by the cooling air guided from the radiator 20 side, and the original amounts of cooling air according to the zones of the respective intake ports are supplied to the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21.
[0061] Here, the inclination angle α of the airflow guide plate 26 is set, for example, to 0° to 70° (α = 0° to 70°). The first embodiment illustrates a case where the inclination angle α of the airflow guide plate 26 is set to approximately 60°. In contrast, the width dimension W1 of the airflow guide plate 26 is set, for example, to 10 to 30% (W1 = L1 x 0.1 to L1 x 0.3) of the length dimension L1 of the radiator 20. The first embodiment illustrates a case where the width dimension W1 of the airflow guide plate 26 is set to approximately 20% of the length dimension L1 of the radiator 20.
[0062] As described above, the air flow guide plate 26 is arranged with an inclination toward the side of the radiator 20 so as to cover a part of the side of the oil cooler 21 with respect to the radiator 20, and is formed by inclining the plate body with the width dimension W1 toward the heat radiation part 20C of the radiator 20 by the angle α. As a result, as shown by the arrow in Fig. 4, the air flow guide plate 26 can change the direction of a part of the cooling air toward the radiator 20 with respect to the cooling air supplied to the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 on the oil cooler 21 side. Therefore, the air flow guide plate 26 can guide more cooling air to the oil cooler 21 than the amount of cooling air received by a single body of the oil cooler 21.
[0063] Note that a partition plate 27 is provided on the front side of the heat exchanger 17. This partition plate 27 is intended to seal off the heat exchanger 17 on the engine 10 side from the hydraulic oil tank 13 and the fuel tank 14, and is provided extending in the left-right direction on the front side of the heat exchanger 17.
[0064] The hydraulic excavator 1 according to the first embodiment has the configuration described above, and an operation of this hydraulic excavator 1 will be described below.
[0065] To operate the hydraulic excavator 1, the operator steps onto the ground member 6 and sits on the operator seat 7. By operating a travel lever, the operator can move the hydraulic excavator 1 forward or backward by driving the lower traveling body 2. Conversely, the operator sitting on the operator seat can excavate earth, sand, and the like by operating the working device 4 and the like by operating the work lever.
[0066] During operation of the hydraulic excavator 1, the cooling fan 12 is rotated / driven by the engine 10. As a result, outside air is sucked in through the intake port 15A1 of the side cover 15A on the outer cover 15 and supplied to the radiator 20 and oil cooler 21 of the heat exchanger 17, so that the engine coolant and hydraulic oil can be cooled.
[0067] The cooling air drawn into the chamber 16 from the outside and flowing toward the heat exchanger 17 is supplied directly to the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21. In contrast, a portion of the cooling air is directed by the air flow guide plate 26 toward the area surrounding the edge between the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 and directed to the side of the oil cooler 21.
[0068] Here, since the air flow guide plate 26 has the plate body with the width dimension W1 inclined by the angle α from the position parallel to the flow direction of the cooling air to the cooler 20 side, the cooling air supplied to the vicinity of the edge between the cooler 20 and the oil cooler 21 is brought into contact with the air flow guide plate 26 and thus guided to the oil cooler 21 at the inclination of the air flow guide plate 26. In this case, since the inclination angle α of the air flow guide plate 26 is set to, for example, approximately 60° and the width dimension W1 is set to, for example, approximately 20% of the length dimension L1 of the cooler 20, the cooling air can be supplied to the oil cooler 21 in an amount required to lower the temperature of the hydraulic oil to an appropriate temperature. As a result, even the small oil cooler 21 having a small opening zone for supplying the cooling air can supply an amount of cooling air larger than an amount of air expected from the opening zone to the oil cooler 21, and the hydraulic oil can be effectively cooled by the oil cooler 21.
[0069] Therefore, according to the first embodiment, even if the oil cooler 21 cannot be made large due to the limitation of the installation space as in the small rear-rotating hydraulic excavator 1, the air flow guide plate 26 can direct a part of the cooling air toward the cooler 20 with respect to the cooling air sucked from the outside by the cooling fan 12 into the space 16 toward the oil cooler 21.
[0070] As a result, even if the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 are arranged in parallel with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air, part of the cooling air can be directed to the oil cooler 21, and a sufficient amount of cooling air can be ensured even for the small oil cooler 21. Therefore, even if the small oil cooler 21 is installed in the small hydraulic excavator 1, the hydraulic oil to be cooled can be reliably cooled by appropriate cooling air, and the cooling capacity can be improved by the oil cooler 21.
[0071] Since the air flow guide plate 26 is arranged at the peripheral position between the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21, the cooling air supplied to the radiator 20 in this peripheral vicinity can be continuously supplied to the oil cooler 21. As a result, return oil from the various actuators can be sufficiently cooled, and then hydraulic oil can be supplied to each of the actuators again from the hydraulic pump 11. Furthermore, since the air flow guide plate 26 can appropriately adjust the amount of cooling air that can be supplied to the oil cooler 21 by changing the inclination angle α and the width dimension W1 (zone), the hydraulic oil can be cooled to an appropriate temperature.
[0072] Moreover, since the air flow guide plate 26 is integrally formed by using the existing connecting bracket 22 that connects the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 in parallel, the air flow guide plate 26 can be mounted together with the connecting bracket 22 and can be easily provided without increasing the number of working processes.
[0073] Show next Fig. 12 to 14 illustrate a second embodiment of the present invention. A feature of the second embodiment is a configuration in which a condenser constituting an air conditioner is arranged to overlap the upstream sides of the radiator and the oil cooler. In the second embodiment, individual elements identical to those in the above first embodiment are simply given the same reference numerals to avoid repetition of similar explanations.
[0074] In Fig. In FIG. 12, reference numeral 31 designates a hydraulic excavator with a cab type as a construction machine according to the second embodiment. A cab 33, which forms a space for an operator, is mounted on an upper revolving structure 32 of this hydraulic excavator 31. The cab 33 houses an operator's seat, various operating levers, and an indoor air conditioning unit for conditioning an indoor environment (not shown).
[0075] 34 denotes a heat exchanger according to the second embodiment, which is mounted on the upper rotary assembly 32 instead of the heat exchanger 17 according to the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 13 and Fig. As shown in Fig. 14, in this heat exchanger 34, a condenser 35 is provided at a position upstream of the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 in the flow direction of the cooling air. This condenser 35 is provided so as to overlap the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 in series with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air. The condenser 35 is to constitute a part of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. At this time, the air flow guide plate 26 is arranged at a peripheral position between the radiator 20 and the condenser 35 and can guide the cooling air that has passed through the condenser 35 to the oil cooler 21 side.
[0076] Therefore, in the second embodiment, which is also configured as above, a working effect largely similar to the aforementioned first embodiment can be obtained. Specifically, according to the second embodiment, even if the condenser 35 is arranged by overlapping the upstream cooling air of the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21, an appropriate amount of cooling air can be guided to the oil cooler 21 side by means of the air flow guide plate 26.
[0077] Next, Fig. 15 shows a third embodiment of the present invention. A feature of the third embodiment is a configuration in which the radiator is arranged on the hydraulic oil tank side and the oil cooler is arranged on the counterweight side. In the third embodiment, individual elements identical to those of the above first embodiment are simply indicated by the same reference numerals to avoid repetition of similar explanations.
[0078] In Fig. In FIG. 15, reference numeral 41 designates the heat exchanger according to the third embodiment. Substantially similar to the heat exchanger 17 according to the first embodiment, this heat exchanger 41 is composed of a support frame 42, a radiator 43 as the first cooling means, an oil cooler 44 as the second cooling means, a connecting bracket 45, an air flow guide plate 46 as the cooling air adjusting member, and the like. However, in the heat exchanger 41 according to the third embodiment, the radiator 43 as the first cooling means is disposed on the hydraulic oil tank 13 side (front side), and the oil cooler 44 as the second cooling means is disposed on the counterweight 9 side (rear side), which is different from the heat exchanger 17 according to the first embodiment. With the heat exchanger 41 according to the third embodiment also configured as above, an appropriate amount of cooling air can be guided to the oil cooler 44 side through the air flow guide plate 46.
[0079] Therefore, in the third embodiment, which is also configured as above, a working effect largely similar to the first embodiment can be obtained. Specifically, according to the third embodiment, even if the radiator 43 is disposed on the hydraulic oil tank 13 side (front side) and the oil cooler 44 is disposed on the counterweight 9 side (rear side), the cooling air required for cooling can be directed to the oil cooler 44 side by adjusting the orientation of the air flow guide plate 46. As a result, even if the small oil cooler 44 is installed, this oil cooler 44 can effectively cool the hydraulic oil.
[0080] Next, Fig. 16 shows a fourth embodiment of the present invention. A feature of the fourth embodiment is a configuration in which an angle of the airflow guide plate with respect to the cooling air is changed. In the fourth embodiment, individual elements identical to those in the above first embodiment are simply indicated by the same reference numerals to avoid repetition of similar explanations.
[0081] In Fig. In Fig. 16, reference numeral 51 denotes an airflow guide plate as a cooling air adjusting member according to the fourth embodiment, which is provided on a connecting bracket 22'. This airflow guide plate 51 is formed as a rectangular plate body having a width dimension W1 and extending in the vertical direction, largely similar to the airflow guide plate 26 according to the first embodiment. However, the airflow guide plate 51 according to the fourth embodiment differs from the airflow guide plate 26 according to the first embodiment in that the airflow guide plate 51 has an inclination angle of an angle β on the radiator 20 side from a position (0° position) parallel to the flow direction of the cooling air.The air flow guide plate 51 according to the fourth embodiment has the inclination angle β smaller than that of the air flow guide plate 26 (inclination angle α) according to the first embodiment, and the inclination angle β of the air flow guide plate 51 is changed to, for example, β = 30°.
[0082] Therefore, in the fourth embodiment, which is also configured as above, a working effect largely similar to the first embodiment can be obtained. Specifically, according to the fourth embodiment, by adjusting the airflow guide plate 51 to the inclination angle β, the amount of cooling air flowing along the airflow guide plate 51 can be changed, and the cooling capacity of the oil cooler 21 can be appropriately controlled.
[0083] It should be noted that in the fourth embodiment, the inclination angle ß of the air flow guide plate 51 is set to an angle smaller than the inclination angle α, but may be configured so that the inclination angle ß of the air flow guide plate 51 is changed to an angle larger than the inclination angle α.
[0084] Next, Fig. 17 shows a fifth embodiment of the present invention. A feature of the fifth embodiment is a configuration in which a zone of the airflow guide plate exposed to the cooling air is changed. In the fifth embodiment, individual elements identical to those in the above first embodiment are simply denoted by the same reference numerals to avoid repetition of similar explanations.
[0085] In Fig. In Fig. 17, reference numeral 61 designates an air flow guide plate as a cooling air adjusting member according to the fifth embodiment, which is provided on a connecting bracket 22". This air flow guide plate 61 is formed as a plate body inclined by an angle α toward the radiator 20 side from a position parallel to the flow direction of the cooling air, which is largely similar to the air flow guide plate 26 according to the first embodiment. However, the air flow guide plate 61 according to the fifth embodiment differs from the air flow guide plate 26 according to the first embodiment in that the air flow guide plate 61 has a width dimension W2 larger than the width dimension W1 of the air flow guide plate 26 according to the first embodiment. In this fifth embodiment, the air flow guide plate 61 has the width dimension W2 larger than that of the air flow guide plate 26 (width dimension W1) according to the first embodiment, and the width dimension W2 of the air flow guide plate 61 is changed to, for example, approximately 30% of the length dimension L1 of the radiator 20.
[0086] Therefore, in the fifth embodiment, which is also configured as above, the working effect can be obtained that is largely similar to the aforementioned first embodiment. Specifically, according to the fifth embodiment, by setting the air flow guide plate 61 with the wider width dimension W2, a zone exposed to the cooling air can be enlarged, and therefore, many cooling air flows can be changed and the cooling capacity of the oil cooler 21 can be controlled.
[0087] In contrast, in the fifth embodiment, the width dimension W2 of the air flow guide plate 61 is set to a dimension larger than the width dimension W1 of the air flow guide plate 26, but it may be configured so that the width dimension W2 of the air flow guide plate 61 is changed to a dimension smaller than the width dimension W1.
[0088] It should be noted that according to the first embodiment, the example in which the air flow guide plate 26 is provided on the connecting bracket 22 is explained. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it may be configured, for example, as a first variation as shown in Fig. 18. That is, an air flow guide plate 71 is provided separately from a connecting bracket 73, and a mounting portion 71A is provided on an upper part and a lower part of the air flow guide plate 71, respectively. In the air flow guide plate 71, a screw 72 inserted into each of the mounting portions 71A can be mounted on a support frame 18' of the heat exchanger 17. As a result, since the existing connecting bracket 73 can be used, the air flow guide plate 71 can be provided with fewer design changes.
[0089] In contrast, the present invention may be configured as a second variation as shown in Fig.19. That is, an airflow guide plate 81 may be configured to be attached to a mounting bracket 21E' of an oil cooler 21', for example, by welding, screw tightening, and the like. Furthermore, the airflow guide plate may be configured to be mounted on the cooler. These configurations can be similarly applied to the other embodiments.
[0090] According to the first embodiment, in a case where the radiator 20 and the oil cooler 21 are provided as cooling devices, and the oil cooler 21 is small in size, the example in which the appropriate amount of cooling air is supplied to the small oil cooler 21 by means of the air flow guide plate 26 will be described. However, contrary to the above descriptions, when the radiator 20 is small and the oil cooler 21 is large, the present invention may be configured such that a required amount of cooling air is supplied to the radiator 20 by means of the air flow guide plate 26. Moreover, such a configuration may be adopted that an intermediate cooling device, a fuel cooling device, and the like are added as cooling devices, and the air flow guide plate is also used for such cooling devices so that the flow of cooling air is adjusted. These configurations can be similarly applied to the other embodiments.
[0091] In contrast, the fourth embodiment describes the example in which the inclination angle of the airflow guide plate 51 with respect to the flow direction of the cooling air is changed to the angle β, and the fifth embodiment describes the example in which the width dimension of the airflow guide plate 61 is changed to the dimension W2. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it may be configured to change both the angle and the width dimension of the airflow guide plate.
[0092] According to the first embodiment, the example in which the canopy 8 is composed of a four-leg portion 8A and a four-pillar type roof portion 8B is described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it may be configured to have one leg portion, or two, three, or five leg portions. This configuration can be similarly applied to the other embodiments.
[0093] Furthermore, in each of the embodiments, the crawler-type hydraulic excavator 1 is described as an example of the construction machine. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it can be applied to a hydraulic excavator provided with, for example, a wheel-type lower traveling structure. Furthermore, the present invention can also be widely applied to other construction machines, such as a hydraulic crane, a wheel loader, a tractor, and the like. 2: 1, 31 hydraulic excavator (construction machine) lower chassis (chassis) 3, 32 upper rotating structure (chassis) 4 Working device 5 rotating frames 9 Counterweight 10 Engine 11 Hydraulic pump 12 cooling fans 13 Hydraulic oil tank (oil tank) 14 Fuel tank (oil tank) 16 rooms 17, 34, 41 heat exchangers 20, 43 cooler (first cooling device) 21, 44 , 21' oil cooler (second cooling device) 22, 45, 22', 22" connecting bracket 26, 46, 51, 61, 71, 81 Air flow guide plate (cooling air adjustment element) 27 Partition plate 35 Capacitor L1 Length dimension of the cooler L2 Length dimension of the oil cooler α, β angle of the air flow guide plate W1, W2 Width dimension of the air flow guide plate
