[0003] Patent document 1: JP 2006- 269 104 A SummaryTechnical problem
[0004] Furthermore, there is a possibility that the terminal and the housing tool in the terminal-equipped electrical wiring housing unit may be incorrectly assembled under various conditions, such as when terminals and housing tools with similar shapes are combined.
[0005] Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a terminal-equipped electrical wire housing unit capable of preventing erroneous assembly. Solution to the problem
[0006] The present invention relates to a terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit, comprising: a terminal-equipped electric wire, which is an electrical connection component for electrically connecting to an electrical connection target, which is configured to reciprocate relatively in a reciprocating direction with respect to a mounting member, and in which an electric wire connecting portion of a terminal is physically and electrically connected to one end of an electric wire; and a housing tool comprising a fixing portion fixed to the mounting member to prevent relative displacement, a housing chamber in which the end of the electric wire and the terminal are housed, and an electric wire outlet through which the electric wire is pulled out of the housing chamber in an electric wire pulling-out direction.wherein the casing tool comprises a first casing member and a second casing member which are connected to each other, the casing chamber is formed in an assembled state by a first casing space of the first casing member and a second casing space of the second casing member, the terminal piece has an electrical connection portion which protrudes in a direction intersecting the electric wire withdrawal direction and is physically and electrically connected to the electrical connection target to prevent relative displacement, and a projection which protrudes in a direction intersecting an insertion direction when the terminal piece is accommodated in the first casing space and in a direction intersecting the reciprocating movement direction, and the first casing member has a projection casing chamber which is configured so thatthat it accommodates the projection regardless of a relative movement position of the terminal in the housing chamber resulting from the reciprocating movement of the electrical connection target with respect to the mounting element, and has a locked portion that locks a locking portion of the terminal regardless of the relative movement position of the terminal in the housing chamber resulting from the reciprocating movement of the electrical connection target with respect to the mounting element to keep the projection accommodated in the projection housing chamber. Advantageous effects of the invention
[0007] In the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit according to the present invention, the locking portion and the locked portion serve as mutual position regulating portions when the terminal fitting is housed in the first housing space of the first housing member. Therefore, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit, when the projection can be inserted into the projection housing chamber in a state where position regulation between the terminal fitting and the first housing member is achieved by the locking portion and the locked portion, the terminal fitting and the first housing member are assembled in a correct connection. On the other hand, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit, when the projection cannot be inserted into the projection housing chamber in a state where the position control between the terminal fitting and the first housing member is achieved by the locking portion and the locked portion, it can be determined that a terminal fitting erroneously recognized as a desired terminal fitting is actually another terminal fitting having a similar shape, or a first housing member erroneously recognized as a desired first housing member is actually another first housing member having a similar shape. Therefore, the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit can suppress erroneous assembly of the terminal fitting with respect to the first housing member, so that it is possible to prevent erroneous assembly of the terminal fitting and the housing tool. [0008] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a terminal-equipped electrical wiring housing unit according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment. [Embodiment]
[0009] In the following, an embodiment of the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit according to the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to 9 described.
[0010] The reference number 1 in Fig. 1 denotes a terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit according to the present embodiment. The terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1 comprises an electric wire 10 with a terminal and a housing tool 20 ( Fig. 1 to 3), and the terminal-equipped electric wire 10 and the housing tool 20 are mounted at different connection targets. Here, the terminal-equipped electric wire 10 is mounted in a state where it is physically and electrically connected to an electrical connection target 510E, and the housing tool 20 is mounted on a mounting member 520E ( Fig. 1).
[0011] In the example of the present embodiment, the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1 is mounted on a battery pack 500 mounted on a vehicle, e.g., an electric vehicle ( Fig. 1).
[0012] The battery pack 500 includes a plurality of battery cells 510 arranged in a row ( Fig. 1). The battery cell 510 shown here comprises a rectangular cell body 510a and positive and negative electrode terminals (so-called cylindrically shaped poles) 510b provided on a wall surface of the cell body 510a ( Fig. 1).
[0013] In addition, the battery pack 500 includes flat plates 520 that enclose each battery cell 510 in a direction in which the plurality of battery cells 510 are arranged (hereinafter referred to as “cell arrangement direction”) ( Fig. 1). In the battery pack 500, each flat plate 520 (not shown) disposed between the battery cells 510 serves as a partition plate, and the flat plates 520 sandwiching both ends of the plurality of battery cells 510 in the cell arrangement direction serve as terminal plates. In the drawings, plate thickness and the like are not considered for the sake of simplicity of explanation.
[0014] In the battery pack 500, the battery cells 510 are subject to thermal expansion or thermal contraction when the vehicle is running or the like, and a distance (hereinafter referred to as “inter-electrode distance”) P ( Fig. 2) between the electrode terminals 510b in adjacent battery cells 510 changes in the cell arrangement direction. Accordingly, in the battery pack 500, the distance between the electrode terminal 510b and the flat plate 520 also changes in the cell arrangement direction. That is, in the battery pack 500, the electrode terminal 510b can reciprocate relatively in the cell arrangement direction with respect to the flat plate 520, and the cell arrangement direction is a reciprocating direction between the electrode terminal 510b and the flat plate 520. Hereinafter, the reciprocating direction between the electrode terminal 510b and the flat plate 520 is simply referred to as the "reciprocating direction" unless otherwise specified.
[0015] In this example, the electrode terminal 510b (one of two electrode terminals 510b) of the battery cell 510 arranged at one end in the cell arrangement direction among the plurality of battery cells 510 is defined as the electrical connection target 510E, and the flat plate 520 serving as the terminal plate arranged side by side with the battery cell 510 arranged at the one end is defined as the mounting member 520E ( Fig. 1 and Fig. 2). Therefore, in this example, the electrical connection target 510E can reciprocate relatively in the reciprocating direction (cell arrangement direction) with respect to the mounting member 520E.
[0016] The terminal-equipped electric wire 10 is an electrical connection component for electrically connecting to the electrical connection target 510E. The terminal-equipped electric wire 10 is arranged adjacent to the one-end battery cell 510 in the reciprocating direction (cell arrangement direction) with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as a terminal plate). Therefore, the terminal-equipped electric wire 10 is connected to the electrode terminal 510b (electrical connection target 510E) of the one-end battery cell 510 via the mounting member 520E.
[0017] The electrical cable 10 provided with a connection comprises an electrical cable 30 and a connection piece 40 ( Fig. 1 to 7). In the terminal-equipped electrical line 10, the connector 40 is physically and electrically connected to one end of the electrical line 30.
[0018] The electric cable 30 consists of a core wire 31 and a sheath 32 which covers the core wire 31 ( Fig. 1 and Fig. 2). For the electrical cable 30, the sheath 32 is peeled off at the end to expose the core wire 31.
[0019] The terminal 40 is press-fitted using a metal plate as the base material. The mounting portion 40 includes an electric wire connecting portion 41 that is physically and electrically connected to the electric wire 30, and an electrical connecting portion 42 that is physically and electrically connected to the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) ( Fig. 6 and Fig. 7).
[0020] The electric wire connecting portion 41 is physically and electrically connected to the end of the electric wire 30 to prevent relative displacement. The electric wire connecting portion 41 shown here is formed by caulking and crimping a pair of sleeve pieces with the core wire 31 exposed at the end of the electric wire 30. The end of the electric wire 30 is pulled out from the electric wire connecting portion 41 in its own axial direction (hereinafter referred to as the "electric wire pulling-out direction").
[0021] The electrical connection portion 42 protrudes in a direction intersecting the electrical wire extension direction and is physically and electrically connected to the electrical connection target 510E to prevent relative displacement. The electrical connection portion 42 shown here is a single body having a through-hole 42a through which a male screw portion of the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) is inserted ( Fig. 1, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7), and a female screw member (not shown) is screwed to the male screw portion to be screwed and fixed to the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b).
[0022] The terminal fitting 40 includes an opposing portion 43 that protrudes from the electric wire connecting portion 41 in the electric wire extension direction and is arranged to face the electric wire 30, and a coupling portion 44 that rises from the opposing portion 43 so as to extend over the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as a terminal plate) and from which the electrical connection portion 42 protrudes in a direction intersecting the electric wire extension direction at a rising end of the coupling portion 44 ( Fig. 6 and Fig. 7).
[0023] The opposite section 43 comprises a piece section 43a having a piece body shape ( Fig. 6 and Fig. 7). The piece section 43a shown here is formed as a trapezoidal piece body with an upper base and a lower base in the electric line extension direction. A wall surface 43b of the piece section 43a facing the electric line 30 is a plane that runs parallel to the electric line extension direction and intersects the reciprocating movement direction ( Fig. 6).
[0024] The coupling portion 44 has the shape of a rectangular piece body rising from the lower base of the piece portion 43a. The electrical connection portion 42 protrudes from one end portion side of the coupling portion 44 in an upward direction toward the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b).
[0025] The housing tool 20 is a tool for receiving the terminal-equipped electric wire 30 and the connector 40 in the terminal-equipped electric wire 10. The housing tool 20 is made of an insulating material such as a synthetic resin.
[0026] The housing tool 20 includes a fixing portion 21 which is fixed to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 as a connecting plate) to prevent relative displacement ( Fig. 1 to 3, 6 and 7). The fastening section 21 shown here has a through hole 21a through which the male screw element (not shown) is inserted ( Fig. 1, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7), and the female screw member (not shown) is screwed to the male screw member to be screwed and fixed to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 as a connecting plate). In the through hole 21a ( Fig. 1, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7) a metal collar element 21b is inserted.
[0027] In addition, the housing tool 20 includes a housing chamber 22 in which the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal 40 are accommodated, and an electric wire outlet 23, which is an opening through which the electric wire 30 is pulled out of the housing chamber 22 to the outside and from which the electric wire 30 is pulled out in the electric wire pulling direction intersecting the reciprocating direction in a state in which the fixing portion 21 is fixed to the mounting member 520E ( Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 6).
[0028] The housing tool 20 comprises a first housing element 50 and a second housing element 60, which are connected to each other ( Fig. 1 to 7).
[0029] The first housing member 50 includes a bottom wall 51 and a peripheral wall 52 constructed from a peripheral edge portion of the bottom wall 51 ( Fig. 1 to 7). In the first housing element 50, a space surrounded by the bottom wall 51 and the peripheral wall 52 is used as a first housing space 22a in which the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal piece 40 are accommodated ( Fig. 6 and Fig. 7). In addition, the first housing member 50 has an opening 53 which is open in a direction orthogonal to the reciprocating direction and is arranged to face the bottom wall 51 in the orthogonal direction ( Fig. 7). The opening 53 is an opening formed in an upward direction within an end edge portion 52a of an end portion of the peripheral wall 52. In the first housing member 50, the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal 40 are inserted into the first housing space 22a through the opening 53. Here, a direction in which the bottom wall 51 and the opening 53 are opposed to each other is a direction in which the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal 40 are inserted through the opening 53.
[0030] The second housing member 60 includes a bottom wall 61 and a peripheral wall 62 erected from a peripheral edge portion of the bottom wall 61 ( Fig. 3 and 5 to 7). In the second housing element 60, a space surrounded by the bottom wall 61 and the peripheral wall 62 is used as a second housing space 22b in which the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal piece 40 are accommodated ( Fig. 6 and Fig. 7). In addition, the second housing member 60 has an opening 63 which is open in a direction orthogonal to the reciprocating direction and is arranged to face the bottom wall 61 in the orthogonal direction ( Fig. 6). The opening 63 is an opening formed upwardly within a front edge portion 62a of an end portion of the peripheral wall 62. In the second housing member 60, the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal fitting 40 are inserted into the second housing space 22b through the opening 63. Here, a direction in which the bottom wall 61 and the opening 63 are opposed to each other is a direction in which the end of the electric wire 30 and the terminal fitting 40 are inserted through the opening 63.
[0031] The assembly of the first housing element 50 and the second housing element 60 is carried out by plugging the peripheral edge portions 52a and 62a of the openings 53 and 63, respectively. In the housing tool 20, the housing chamber 22 is formed by the first housing space 22a of the first housing element 50 and the second housing space 22b of the second housing element 60 in the assembled state.
[0032] The electrical line outlet 23 shown here is formed by a first notch 23a of the first housing element 50 and a second notch 23b of the second housing element 60 in the assembled state ( Fig. 2 and Fig. 6). In the peripheral wall 52 of the first housing member 50, the first notch 23a is formed from the opening 53 (side of the peripheral edge portion 52a) to the bottom wall 51. In the peripheral wall 62 of the second housing member 60, the second recess 23b is formed from the opening 63 (side of the peripheral edge portion 62a) to the bottom wall 61.
[0033] Here, the first housing member 50 includes a mounting portion communicating with the first housing space 22a and projecting from the bottom wall 51 to a side opposite the opening 53, and the mounting portion is used as a third housing space 22c in which the terminal piece 40 is housed ( Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Fig. 7). One side of the electrical connection section 42 of the coupling section 44 and one side of the coupling section 44 of the electrical connection section 42 are accommodated in the third housing space 22c. Therefore, the housing chamber 22 shown here is formed by the first housing space 22a and the third housing space 22c of the first housing element 50 in the assembled state and the second housing space 22b of the second housing element 60.
[0034] The second housing element 60 comprises a cover wall portion 64 which is arranged facing the coupling portion 44 in the third housing space 22c and covers an opening which is arranged facing a wall surface of the coupling portion 44 in the third housing space 22c ( Fig. 3, Fig. 4, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7). The connection outlet 24, through which the electrical connection section 42 is led out of the housing space 22, is formed between the opening and the cover wall section 64 ( Fig. 3). The terminal outlet 24 is opened toward the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) in the reciprocating direction.
[0035] The first housing element 50 and the second housing element 60 are held in the assembled state by locking mechanisms 25 at a plurality of locations (here three locations) ( Fig. 1, Fig. 3, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7). In the locking mechanism 25, a first engaging portion 25a provided in the first housing member 50 is engaged with a second engaging portion 25b provided in the second housing member 60 to maintain the assembled state in a state where the first housing member 50 and the second housing member 60 are assembled ( Fig. 3, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7). Here, the first engagement portion 25a is formed in the shape of a claw. The second engagement portion 25b is formed as a flexible piece portion that is bent to allow the first engagement portion 25a to be positioned over the second engagement portion 25b. In the locking mechanism 25, in a state where the first housing member 50 and the second housing member 60 are assembled, the first engagement portion 25a is hooked onto the second engagement portion 25b, thereby maintaining the assembled state.
[0036] In the housing tool 20, the housing space 22 has an internal shape in which the terminal fitting 40 can be relatively moved within a range of reciprocation of the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as a terminal plate). The first housing space 22a and the second housing space 22b are formed in an internal shape with a size that allows relative movement of the electrical wire connecting portion 41, the opposing portion 43, and a side of the connecting portion 44 within the range of reciprocation. The third housing space 22c has an internal shape with a size that allows relative movement between the coupling portion 44 side of the electrical connection portion 42 and the electrical connection portion 42 side of the coupling portion 44 within the range of reciprocation. In the terminal fitting 40, as the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) reciprocates with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as a terminal plate), a part of the electrical connection portion 42 is drawn into and out of the terminal outlet 24.
[0037] Incidentally, the terminal piece 40 of the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1 includes a projection 45 projecting in a direction intersecting an insertion direction when housed in the first housing space 22a of the first housing member 50 and in a direction intersecting the reciprocating direction ( Fig. 4 to 7). The projection 45 is a portion for suppressing incorrect assembly of the terminal fitting with respect to the first housing member and is provided to prevent incorrect assembly of the terminal fitting and the housing tool.
[0038] The first housing member 50 includes a projection housing chamber 55 capable of accommodating the projection 45 regardless of a relative movement position of the terminal piece 40 in the housing chamber 22 resulting from the reciprocating movement of the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as the terminal plate), and a locked portion 56 locking a locking portion 46 of the terminal piece 40 regardless of the relative movement position of the terminal piece 40 in the housing chamber 22 resulting from the reciprocating movement of the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as the terminal plate) to hold the projection 45 in the Projection housing chamber 55 to be kept ( Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Fig. 7).
[0039] In particular, the projection 45 shown here is provided in the coupling portion 44. In the coupling portion 44, the projection 45 is provided at one of the two end portions (respective side parts) 44a and 44b in a direction orthogonal to the insertion direction of the terminal piece 40 with respect to the first housing space 22a and the reciprocating direction ( Fig. 4 to 7). The projection 45 protrudes from one end portion 44a of the coupling portion 44 in a direction orthogonal to the direction of insertion of the terminal 40 with respect to the first housing space 22a and the direction orthogonal to the reciprocating direction. In the terminal 40, the other end portion 44b of the coupling portion 44 is used as the locking portion 46.
[0040] The projection housing chamber 55 shown here is a space provided at a position corresponding to the position of the projection 45 of the terminal fitting 40 and communicates with the first housing space 22a and the third housing space 22c. The projection housing chamber 55 is adjacent to the third housing space 22c in a direction orthogonal to the insertion direction of the terminal fitting 40 with respect to the first housing space 22a and the reciprocating direction. In the first housing member 50, the locked portion 56 is provided on a side opposite the projection housing chamber 55, with the third housing space 22c interposed therebetween. The locked portion 56 is a wall surface having a plane along the insertion direction of the terminal fitting 40 with respect to the first housing space 22a and the reciprocating direction. The wall surface is a part of a wall surface constituting the third housing space 22c.
[0041] In the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1, the locking portion 46 and the locked portion 56 serve as mutual position regulating portions when the terminal fitting 40 is housed in the first housing space 22a of the first housing member 50. Therefore, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1, when the projection 45 can be inserted into the projection housing chamber 55 in a state where the position regulation between the terminal fitting 40 and the first housing member 50 is achieved by the locking portion 46 and the locked portion 56, the terminal fitting 40 and the first housing member 50 are assembled in a correct connection. On the other hand, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1, when the projection 45 cannot be inserted into the projection housing chamber 55 in a state where the positional determination between the terminal fitting 40 and the first housing member 50 is achieved by the locking portion 46 and the locked portion 56, it can be determined that a terminal fitting erroneously recognized as a desired terminal fitting 40 is actually another terminal fitting 440 (Fig. Fig. 8 and Fig. 9) which has a similar shape, or a first housing element which was mistakenly identified as a desired first housing element 50 is in reality another first housing element 450 ( Fig. 8 and Fig. 9) having a similar shape. Therefore, the terminal-equipped electrical wire housing unit 1 can suppress incorrect assembly of the terminal fitting with respect to the first housing member, making it possible to prevent incorrect assembly of the terminal fitting and the housing tool.
[0042] In the connector 440, one end portion 444a of a coupling portion 444 is used as a locking portion 446, and a projection 445 projects from the other end portion 444b ( Fig. 8 and Fig. 9). In the connector 440, at least the arrangement of the projection 445 and the locking portion 446 is opposite to that of the connector 40. The first housing element 450 includes a projection housing chamber 455 and a locked portion 456 arranged according to the arrangement of the projection 445 and the mounting portion 446 in the connector 440, wherein at least the arrangement of the projection housing chamber 455 and the locked portion 456 is opposite to that of the first housing element 50 ( Fig. 8 and Fig. 9). Here, a second housing element 460, which is connected to the connector 440 and the first housing element 450, also has a different shape than the second housing element 60 ( Fig. 8 and Fig. 9).
[0043] Further, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1, a size of an internal space of the housing chamber 22 is larger than a size of the terminal fitting 40. A relative movement direction (reciprocation direction) of the terminal fitting 40 in the housing chamber 22 crosses a protrusion direction of the protrusion 45 in the terminal fitting 40. However, the protrusion housing chamber 55 is formed in a shape capable of accommodating the protrusion 45 regardless of the relative movement position of the terminal fitting 40 in the housing chamber 22 resulting from the reciprocation of the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as the terminal plate). The locked portion 56 is formed in a shape capable of locking the locking portion 46 of the terminal 40 regardless of the relative movement position of the terminal 40 in the housing chamber 22 resulting from the reciprocating movement of the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as the terminal plate). Therefore, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1, the combination of the projection 45 and the projection housing chamber 55, and the combination of the locking portion 46 and the locked portion 56 do not hinder the relative movement of the terminal 40 in the housing chamber 22.Therefore, in the terminal-equipped electric wire housing unit 1, the projection housing chamber 55 can suppress overload of the housing tool 20 and the terminal fitting 40 when the electrical connection target 510E (electrode terminal 510b) reciprocates with respect to the mounting member 520E (the flat plate 520 serving as a terminal plate), so that it is possible to suppress deterioration of the durability thereof.
