Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The invention relates to a machine designed for removing snow and ice from snow-covered and icy surfaces. It consists of two units: a tank and a vehicle. Heated water is mixed with salt in the tank. After this mixture is transferred to the insulated tank of the spray vehicle, the warm mixture is pressurized and sprayed onto the snow or ice. BACKGROUND
[0002] According to the current state of the art, snow removal is carried out either with a snow removal vehicle or a solution. This method presents the following problems: • The snow clearing vehicles cannot completely prevent the area from becoming slippery. • After the process is completed, the snow clearing vehicles must be swept. • The clearing vehicles require a large number of vehicles to clean large areas such as squares and airports. • Solvent-based cleaning is costly. • Solvent-based cleaning is time-consuming. THE AIM OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The aim of the invention is to provide a system that completely removes ice from the ground, unlike the snow removal vehicles used in current technology.
[0004] Another object of the invention is to eliminate the need for sweeping after the cleaning process, unlike the snow removal vehicles used in current technology.
[0005] Another object of the invention is to reduce the need for numerous vehicles to clean large areas since the cleaning is carried out using a wide melting head.
[0006] Another aim of the invention is to reduce costs by 1 / 30 compared to cleaning with solutions.
[0007] Another object of the invention is to achieve the desired melting immediately with the action of pressurized hot water, compared to cleaning with solutions. LIST OF CHARACTERS Fig. 1. [0009] The invention relates to a machine for removing snow and ice from snow-covered and icy surfaces, comprising two units, namely a tank and a vehicle, wherein a mixture of heated water and salt is prepared in the tank and, after transferring this mixture to the insulated tank of the spray vehicle, pressure is exerted on the warm mixture to spray it onto snow or ice.
[0010] The vehicle portion of the invention includes: - An insulated water tank (1), - A pump (2), - A connecting element (3), - hydraulic arms (4), - A pressurised water spray element (5), consisting of parts such as water splash protection plastic (5.1), pressure nozzle (5.2), lower connection (5.3) and water inlet of the nozzles (5.4, 5.5, 5.6), and
[0011] The tank section includes: - A cold water inlet (6), - A natural gas inlet (7), - A boiler (8), - A transfer pipe to the hot water mixing tank (9), - A heat-insulated tank for mixing water and salt (10), - A transfer pump (11), - A mixing transfer hole (12), - A motor for mixing water with salt (13), - A salt filling cap (14).
[0012] The functions and operating principles of the mentioned parts are provided below.
[0013] The insulated water tank (1) ensures that the heated salt water mixture can be transported without cooling. The pump (2) generates a pressure of 170 bar for the liquid to be sprayed onto the snow mass to be cleaned. The connecting element (3) is used to connect the spray element (5) to the vehicle. The hydraulic arms (4) adjust the angle of the spray element (5) to the ground depending on the amount of snow. The pressurised water spray element (5) sprays the liquid inside the water tank (1) onto the snow and ice. The area around the water spray element (5) is covered by splash protection plastic (5.1) to prevent the high-pressure water from causing damage to the surrounding area. The part of the water spray element (5) facing the ground includes a pressure nozzle (5.2), which ensures that the liquid is sprayed onto the ground at a pressure of 170 bar. The lower connection (5.3) enables the water spray element (5) to be connected to the vehicle from below. The water inlets of the nozzles (5.4, 5.5, 5.6) ensure the transfer of the liquid within the water tank (1) from the transfer pump (11) to the nozzles. The cold water inlet (6) allows the municipal water to be directed to the boiler (8) for heating. The boiler (8) ensures that the municipal water can be heated to up to 60 degrees Celsius. The transfer pipe to the hot water mixing tank (9) transfers the water heated in the boiler (8) to the mixing tank. Within the thermally insulated water and salt mixing tank (10) there is a propeller that ensures the mixing of salt and water, as well as a water and salt mixing motor (13) that provides the water-salt mixture by connecting the vehicle's motor shaft to the propeller shaft in the tank. Salt can be added through the salt filler cap (14) into the insulated water and salt mixing tank (10).The salt added through the salt filler cap (14) is mixed by the propeller driven by the mixing motor (13). This creates a mixture for melting purposes. This mixture is transferred to the insulated water and salt mixing tank (10) using the transfer pump (11) and the mixing transfer hole (12).
[0014] The operating principle of the system according to the invention is presented in this section. The water from the municipality is pumped through the cold water inlet (6) into the boiler (8) and heated to 60 degrees Celsius. The water heated in the boiler (8) is transferred to the mixing tank (10). Salt is added to the hot water in the mixing tank (10) through the salt filler cap (14) and the mixing motor (13) is operated until the salt is dissolved in the water. The mixture is transferred via the transfer pump (11) to the insulated water tank (1) to be sprayed onto snow or ice. The mixture transferred to the vehicle is sprayed onto the snow or ice by the pressurized water spray element (5) using the pump (2). The pressurized water spray element (5) has six rows of nozzles operating in groups of two rows each. The operator sprays the mixture as needed, depending on the amount of snow or ice, by operating the pump (2) via the control panel inside the vehicle. If the amount of snow or ice on the ground increases during spraying, the operator operates the hydraulic motor via the control panel inside the vehicle, and the hydraulic arms (4) raise the front part of the pressurized water spray element (5) to a height above that of the snow or ice. Once the vehicle has finished cleaning, the operator moves the pressurized water spray element (5) into a closed position parallel to the vehicle and vertical to the ground by closing the hydraulic arms (4) via the internal control panel.
[0015] The natural gas inlet (7) allows operation with natural gas and the boiler (8) heats the water up to 60 degrees Celsius. The salt is added to the tank (10) through the salt filler cap (14) to mix it with the water. The water mixed with salt is transferred to the insulated water tank (1) by the transfer pump (11). Depending on the amount of snow and ice in the tank (1), the water is sprayed onto the snow or ice at a pressure of 170 bar either through the front two rows of nozzles, or through the front two rows of nozzles in combination with the middle two rows, or through the front two rows, the middle two rows and the rear two rows of nozzles. This spraying is achieved by the necessary angle with the hydraulic arms (4), so that immediate melting is guaranteed upon contact with snow or ice.
