Abstract

A micro-pureeing machine comprising: a housing with a drive motor driving a drive shaft projecting from the housing; a platform; a removable assembly arranged on the platform for processing frozen ingredients, comprising: a removable inner cup configured to hold frozen ingredients during use, the removable inner cup having one or more cup alignment features; and an outer device with a handle configured to receive the removable inner cup, the outer device having one or more device alignment features; the device alignment feature(s) engaging with the cup alignment feature(s) to prevent rotation of the inner cup relative to the outer device about a central axis during operation of the micro-pureeing machine;and a cover assembly comprising a knife assembly detachably held therein for engagement with the drive shaft, wherein the outer device further comprises cover locking features for securing the cover assembly to the outer device by rotation; wherein, when the assembly and the cover assembly are vertically lifted by the platform, the knife assembly engages within the cover assembly in a drive coupling at the distal end of the drive shaft.
