This is a retaining device, especially for champagne corks. When the champagne bottle is opened, we have designed it so that the cork is secured and held in place by a retaining element, preventing it from flying around. This reduces the risk of injury.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a retaining device for bottle corks, for example champagne corks.

[0002] Until now, bottle corks, especially champagne corks, were secured to bottles. The champagne corks were secured with a wire closure, which was positioned on the bottle neck and also connected to the cork, i.e., it was pulled over the cork and held it in place. After loosening the wire closure, the champagne cork could be removed. Experience has shown that the champagne cork can detach from the bottle at high speed and fly off like a missile. This sudden shooting out of the champagne cork can endanger people and materials. Furthermore, this sudden shooting away of the champagne cork is one reason why opening champagne bottles is an unpleasant activity for many people.

[0003] The invention is based on the object of making it safe to open corked bottles, in particular sparkling wine bottles.

[0004] In other words, a retaining device for corked bottles is proposed which allows the cork to be detached from the bottle, but holds the detached cork and safely prevents the cork from flying away in an uncontrolled manner.

[0005] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are explained in the subclaims.

[0006] An embodiment of the invention is shown below in the drawing. Fig. 1 is a bottle 1, closed with a cork 2. Fig. 2 is a bottle 1, closed with a cork 2 and a holding element 3, with a strangulation knot mechanically applied to the cork 2. Fig. 3 is a bottle 1, sealed with a cork 2 and secured with a retaining element 3. The attached clip is connected (welded) to the foil capsule 4. Fig. 4 is a bottle 1, with a cork 2 and a holding element 3, secured with the foil capsule 4 and attached to the bottle. Description Figure 1

[0007] An original bottle of sparkling wine sealed with a cork in a bottling plant. Description Figure 2

[0008] A champagne bottle sealed with a cork and mechanically fitted with a retaining element. Description Figure 3

[0009] Shows a finished sparkling wine bottle in the bottling line, secured with a retaining element and a wire closure (clasp). Finally, a foil capsule was added (welded). Description Figure 4

[0010] When opening a champagne bottle, the cork is secured by the retaining element. The retaining element is welded to the foil capsule.

Claims

[1] Retaining devices for bottle corks, which are connected on the one hand to a bottle and on the other hand are at least indirectly connected to the cork in order to restrict the free movement of the cork, wherein at least one connecting element is arranged between the bottle-side connection and the cork-side connection, characterized by at least one connecting element (holding element) 3 having a length such that it is held at a distance from the top of the bottle. [2] Retaining device according to claim 1, the holding element on the bottle, characterized by which are made of wire, for example foil strips that can be labeled or similar materials. [3] Restraint device according to claim 1 and 2 characterized by the holding element is attached to the bottle by foil capsules and is thus secured.
