Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an adapter system with an interchangeable head that can be mounted on a handling element. The interchangeable head comprises a mechanical, manually operated locking mechanism for the tools, which can be secured by lever movements without the need for additional tools. This design enables quick and easy tool changes, particularly in handling technology.

[0002] Such systems are known in a variety of forms, particularly in handling technology. The interchangeable head can be provided, in particular, on off-highway vehicles and manipulators. The interchangeable adapter, which locks the inserted tool with a mechanism, can, in particular, have tools in the form of a fork or hook receptacle. Sliding bolts are required, in particular, to secure the tool. In the known prior art, rods are therefore guided through superimposed holes. When changing the tool, the corresponding rods must be removed.

[0003] To secure the tool, sliding bolts are particularly required. The current state of the art therefore involves inserting rods through superimposed holes. When changing the tool, the corresponding rods must be removed.

[0004] The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing an adapter system that simplifies tool changing.

[0005] This object is achieved by an adapter system having the features of claim 1. Such an adapter system consequently provides a mechanical, manually operated locking of the tools on the interchangeable head. The locking element is guided through the superimposed bores of the interchangeable head and tool via the lever 01. Furthermore, at least one directly guided rod is provided for locking, via which the tool is connected to the interchangeable adapter. For better frictional connection, several levers with locking devices can also be provided. The adapter system according to the invention therefore has the advantage that it can mechanically hold the tools by means of lever movements. Further connections between the interchangeable adapter and tool can also be added. Due to the simple pin connection between the adapter system and the tool, a complex coupling of the tools on the manipulator can be omitted. In this respect, the tool can be replaced relatively quickly since no tools are required.

[0006] Advantageously, the interchangeable head can be designed with a shape that eliminates the need for any further adjustments to the tools and manipulator. The existing pin connections are therefore approximately duplicated at a certain distance.

[0007] The pin connections are advantageously designed without tools. Knobs or levers are provided to move the pins, which can be operated from above or below. They can be designed with a locking mechanism to prevent accidental release.

[0008] The interchangeable head is preferably designed to be mounted in a way that prevents confusion. The interchangeable head protrudes only slightly beyond the existing contour and ideally minimally impedes the manipulator's range of motion.

[0009] Advantageously, the housing of the interchangeable head is provided with struts, particularly in horizontal and vertical directions, which facilitate easy tool insertion. This results in a comparatively simple geometric design.

[0010] A favorable design is achieved when the housing provides multiple pin connections for the interchangeable adapter and at least four pin connections. The pin connections allow the tool to be secured axially and radially.

[0011] An advantageous embodiment results when the locking elements have a chamfer which can compensate for an axial displacement of the actuator for locking the interchangeable adapter.

[0012] Further details and advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description, on the basis of which the embodiment of the invention shown in the figures is described and explained in more detail.

[0013] They show: Fig. 1 a perspective top view of an adapter system according to the invention, in which the interchangeable adapter can be seen without tools; Fig. 2 a perspective top view of the rear side of the interchangeable head according to Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a perspective top view of the interchangeable head shown in Fig. 1 with coupled tool; Fig.4 is a perspective top view of the rear side of the interchangeable head according to Fig. 2;

[0014] The adapter system XX shown in the figures comprises an interchangeable head XX and a tool XX that can be adapted to the interchangeable head. The tools are not part of the claim and are for illustrative purposes only. The interchangeable head 12 is intended, in particular, for attachment to a manipulator, in particular a vacuum lifter. During operation of the adapter system, a tool, and in particular a lifting device, is arranged on the interchangeable adapter XX. The adapter system allows the tool to be exchanged relatively quickly.

[0015] As can be seen from Fig. 1, the interchangeable head 20 has a frame 2 which has guides with pins which are provided for receiving the tools 30.

[0016] To lock the tools 30 to the interchangeable head 20, the tool 30 is inserted into this receiving space 3. Four rods 4 are provided horizontally for precise guidance of the tool into the interchangeable head. The tools each have two parallel horizontal plates with a designated bore. The interchangeable head has a cutout at the designated positions with vertically arranged pins behind them. These serve to secure the tools by sliding the pins vertically through the bore.

[0017] Further pin connections 7 are provided in the housing 16 for more stable guidance. The pin connections are provided in the vertical direction by insertable locking pins. The locking is achieved by conical pressure pieces.

[0018] As is particularly clear from Fig. 3, The connection between the interchangeable adapter and the tools is defined by four points. Vertical and horizontal fixation is achieved with pins. However, the centrally located pins 9 provide the primary connection. The contour of the base plate 2 supports the positioning of the tool.

[0019] The interchangeable head 12 has a central receptacle on the opposite side of the tool holder. This receptacle differs from the tool holder in that the pin connections must be secured with a tool. Furthermore, securing the outer pin connections is more complex, as the positioning is not defined by the manipulator and thus appears variable. Assembly can be complex under certain circumstances.
