Description

[0001] The invention relates to a positioning and lifting device for a bicycle, which makes it possible to park several bicycles next to each other at the smallest possible distance in a storage room that does not need to be entered.

[0002] Public bicycle parking facilities consist of racks that hold the front wheel or leaning bars against which the bicycle frame can be leaned and locked. With these facilities, one must be standing next to the bicycle when parking it. Consequently, any roof over the bicycle parking facility must be mounted high and offers little protection from the elements. Not only for this reason, but also due to aesthetic concerns, such facilities are very rarely used in private areas.

[0003] To access the bicycle to be parked, one must enter a low, box-like storage unit according to DE 43 10 487 A1. A swing-out roof element then covers the access area again for weather and theft protection. Although the unit is not very high, neither a green roof nor a storage area for garden tools or other items can be installed above it.

[0004] The positioning and lifting device for a bicycle according to the invention can be installed in an aesthetically sophisticated bicycle shed, also offers weather and theft protection and enables optimal use of space, since bicycles can be stored close together and their handlebars can be positioned at different heights.

[0005] The positioning and lifting device for a bicycle not only enables aesthetically sophisticated parking facilities, including those with green roofs, in front gardens of private houses or in open spaces of apartment blocks, but also creates bicycle storage space in buildings or conventional garden sheds, because with the device according to the invention, many other objects can be accommodated above the bicycles.

[0006] The object of the invention is to create a positioning and lifting device for a bicycle so that as many bicycles as possible can be stored conveniently and safely in a storage room.

[0007] Standing in front of the storage room, one can attach a hook to the handlebars of a bicycle without lifting it. Standing outside the ceiling of the storage room, one slides the bicycle, which is guided on a rail by hooks and rollers, into a storage position in which the front wheel is securely suspended by a hook on the handlebars, preventing it from falling over and ensuring that neighboring handlebars do not touch each other.

[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by a device with a hook on rollers in a sliding rail according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of a positioning and lifting device for a bicycle are characterized in the dependent claims.

[0009] The device according to claim 2 relates to a sliding rail which is closed at the front by a sliding rail handle, through which a rubber band is guided, which is attached at the entrance to the storage room and here pulls the sliding rail upwards with hooks.

[0010] The device according to claim 3 relates to the rear end of the slide rail, which is slidably mounted in a guide tube. At the beginning of this guide tube, there is a slot wide enough that it does not impede the movement of the hook, but stops the bicycle from being pushed further when the hook bearing abuts the end of the slot when the storage position is reached.

[0011] At the beginning of the guide tube, a bracket with a fastening is attached in such a way that it does not hinder the movement of the slide rail, and that a positioning strap, preferably a perforated strap, is inserted into a gap formed by this bracket on the top of the guide tube, and that the position of a bicycle in the storage room is determined by attaching this strap to the ceiling.

[0012] A compensating rod is inserted at the rear end of the guide tube and preferably secured with screws, and fitted with a rubber buffer at its outer end. This ensures that the guide tube maintains its longitudinal position even when a bicycle is being pushed in. Description

[0013] The invention is described below with reference to the drawings - Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 - of the illustrated embodiment explained in more detail. The different views show only the parts most important for the functions according to the invention.

[0014] Fig. Figure 1 shows the handlebar stem 21 hooked into a handlebar hook 1, which is inserted into a hook bearing 312 and fixed there by means of hook retainers 313. The hook 1 remains in the handlebar stem 21 even after the hook handle 11 is released because the Fig. The flat rubber band 4 shown in Figure 2 pulls the slide rail 3 and thus also the hook 1, which is indirectly mounted there, upwards. The flat rubber band 4 is attached to the slide rail 3 by rubber holders 41 both at the lintel 61 and approximately 1 meter away from the slide rail handle 32, in which it is guided through a slot, at the top of the slide rail 3.

[0015] The hook 1 is pivotally mounted in the hook bearing 311 and secured there by means of the two hook locking devices 313. A roller axle 312 is inserted through the upper end of the hook bearing 311 and is mounted in the two rollers 31. These rollers 31 are oriented longitudinally along the guide rail 3. Fig. 2 - easily movable and allow the bicycle suspended on the handlebar hook 1 on the handlebar stem 21 to be pushed into the storage space 7.

[0016] To do this, grasp the bicycle, for example by the saddle, and push it, while the other hand, holding the slide rail handle 32, slightly lifts the outer end of the slide rail 3. The inner end of the slide rail 3 is positioned high enough that the front wheel of the bicycle is lifted when pushed in, thus determining the direction of movement of the bicycle by the slide rail 3.

[0017] Fig. Figure 2 shows the positioning and lifting device according to the invention for a bicycle, slightly pulled out of the storage space 7, and the hook 1 being hooked into the handlebar stem 21. For this hooking process, the hook handle 11 is grasped and used to pull the hook 1 and the sliding rail 3, connected via the hook bearing 311 and the rollers 31, slightly out of the storage space 7 and down far enough that the handlebar hook 1 can be hooked into the handlebar stem 21 of the handlebar 2 without lifting the bicycle.

[0018] The bicycle can now be pushed into storage compartment 7 until the hook bearing 311 is behind the positioning strap 511 and is stopped there by the roller stop 50. The roller stop 50 is formed by a slot on the underside of the guide tube 5 and is designed so that the hook bearing 312 can slide into the guide tube 5 until it is just behind the suspension formed by the positioning strap 511. The suspension of a bicycle in storage compartment 7 is fixed in height, depth, and side by screwing the two sides of the positioning strap 511 – advantageously a perforated strap – to the ceiling 6. This storage position, specifically determined for the bicycle to be stored, does not obstruct the closing of any doors or roller shutters that may be installed below the lintel 61.

[0019] The guide rail 3 is a Hettich profile rail for sliding doors, approximately 1.60 meters long, which can be moved within the standard square guide tube 5, approximately 0.40 meters long. The horizontal distance between the positioning strap 511 and the back panel 62 depends on the bicycle size. To ensure that the guide tube 5 does not change its position when the bicycle is pushed in, a compensating rod 52 (for example, a piece of broom handle) is inserted at its end to compensate for the length and is screwed in such a way that the rubber buffer 521, attached to the end of the compensating rod 52 with screw 522, is against the back panel 63 and dampens any impacts. At the very front of the top of the guide tube 5, a bracket with a mounting 51 is attached in such a way that the movement of the guide rail 3 is not obstructed and that a strap 511 can be threaded through this bracket 51.The rollers 31 in the sliding rail 3 allow the bicycle, suspended from the hook 1 on the handlebar stem 21, to be pushed into the roller stop 50 and behind the positioning strap 511 with minimal effort. With the bicycle suspended in this position, the weight of the front wheel pulls the sliding rail 3 downwards at this point and upwards at the outer end, at the sliding rail handle 32, towards the ceiling 6. This secures the bicycle in the storage position against rolling out until it is removed, for example, by pulling on the luggage rack.
