Composite anchor cartridge

Abstract

A composite anchor cartridge (1) comprising (i) a first container (2) with a first interior space (3) containing a reactive resin (6) with ethylene unsaturated groups; and (ii) a second container (4) with a second interior space (5) containing a particulate hardener (7); wherein the first container (2) is made of glass and is completely sealed; wherein the first container (2) is elongated and the maximum length of the first container (2) is at least 5 times longer than the maximum width of the first container (2) perpendicular to it; wherein the first container (2) has a circular cross-section along its longitudinal extent, the diameter of this circular cross-section being constant over at least 80% of the longitudinal extent of the first container (2); wherein the second container (4) is made of glass and is completely sealed;wherein the second container (4) is elongated and the maximum length of the second container (4) is at least 15 times longer than the maximum width of the second container (4) orthogonal to it; wherein the second container (4) has a circular cross-section along its longitudinal extent, the diameter of this circular cross-section being constant over at least 80% of the longitudinal extent of the second container (4); wherein the second container (4) is arranged in the first interior space (3) and wherein the first interior space (3) contains the reactive resin (6) outside the second container (4); wherein the first interior space (3) contains a particulate filler in addition to the reactive resin (6) and the second container (4); wherein the first interior space (3) has a length L1 and the second interior space (5) has a length L2, wherein L2 ≥ 0.72·L1 and L2 ≤ 0.95·L1;wherein in a vertical arrangement of the first container (2) the first interior space (3) is filled with the reactive resin (6) and the particulate filler up to a filling level F1, wherein F1 ≥ 0.64·L1 and F1 ≤ 0.95·L1; wherein the reactive resin (6) is liquid at 23°C; and wherein the hardener (7) comprises dibenzoyl peroxide phlegmatized with ethylene glycol dibenzoate, and wherein the dibenzoyl peroxide content is less than 50.0 wt%, based on the total weight of the hardener (7).
