AI Technical Summary
Existing cabinets with integrated screens face challenges in maximizing storage volume while maintaining a large screen coverage on the furniture front.
The cabinet design features a sliding door with a screen mounted in front, allowing the screen to displace with the sliding door and protrude beyond it, enabling a wide displacement path that provides access to adjacent storage areas.
This design effectively increases the accessible storage volume by allowing the screen and sliding door to move in tandem, providing access to previously covered areas while maintaining a large screen presence.

Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a cabinet with an integrated screen.
[0002] The object of the invention is to create a piece of cabinet furniture which, although the screen covers a large part of the furniture front, has a large accessible storage volume.
[0003] This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cabinet furniture has a body element which can be closed by a sliding door, in that the screen is mounted in front of the sliding door and can be moved with the sliding door and projects beyond the sliding door in the direction perpendicular to the direction of displacement, and in that the displacement path of the sliding door is at least half the dimension of the screen in this direction.
[0004] The wide sliding range allows the screen and sliding door to be moved far enough to provide access to the cabinet elements that are adjacent to the cabinet element with the sliding door in the second dimension and are therefore concealed by the protruding parts of the screen in the closed position. At the same time, the sliding door also allows access to a portion of the cabinet element that can be closed by the sliding door.
[0005] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
[0006] The sliding door can extend beyond the screen in the sliding direction. This allows the use of a sliding door fitting that allows for a particularly wide sliding range.
[0007] The direction of movement can be the horizontal direction or optionally the vertical direction.
[0008] The body elements which are adjacent to the body element provided with the sliding door in the direction transverse to the direction of sliding and which are partially covered by the screen when the sliding door is in the closed position can be closed by flaps or pivoting doors which can be opened after the screen has been pushed to the side.
[0009] The sliding path of the sliding door can be so large that in an open position a part of the sliding door protrudes beyond the outer boundary of the cabinet body.
[0010] In an advantageous embodiment, the sliding door can be moved in both directions from the closed position.
[0011] In the following, an embodiment is explained in more detail using the drawings.
[0012] They show: Fig. 1 a front view of the cabinet in a closed position; Fig. 2 a front view of the cabinet in a first opening position; and Fig. 3 a front view of the cabinet in a second opening position.
[0013] The Fig. The cabinet shown in Figure 1 has a cuboid-shaped body 10, which is divided into four superimposed rows 12, 14, 16, 18 of body elements. In the second highest row 14, a body element 20 is arranged centrally, which in the Fig. 1, is closed by a sliding door 22 that can be moved horizontally. A screen 24 is mounted centrally in front of the sliding door 22, which projects beyond the sliding door 24 in the vertical direction both upwards and downwards, while in the horizontal direction the sliding door 22 projects beyond the screen 24 on both sides.
[0014] The body elements in the top row 12 and in both lower rows 16, 18 of the cabinet are closed in the example shown by flaps 26 or pivoting doors 28 or designed as open compartments (e.g., in the bottom row 18). Fig. 1, the flaps 26 and some of the pivoting doors 28 are covered by parts of the screen 24, these flaps and pivoting doors cannot be opened. However, the sliding door 22 is displaceable in a known manner by means of a sliding door fitting (not shown in detail), which can extend over the entire width of the body 10 or at least over half the width of the screen and therefore allows a wide displacement path of the sliding door 22 and the screen 24. In the example shown, the sliding door 22 is movable in both directions from the Fig. 1 shown closed position.
[0015] Fig. Figure 2 shows the sliding door 22 and the screen 24 in an open position, in which they are shifted to the right. The right end of the sliding door 22 protrudes beyond the lateral boundary of the body 10. In this position, the screen 24 is shifted far enough to the right that it exposes the left flap 26 and the previously concealed pivot door 28 on the left side of the body, allowing both the flap and the pivot door to be opened. The flap 26 is in Fig. 2 is shown in an unfolded position, allowing access to the items contained in the associated body element. At the same time, in this position, the sliding door 22 also provides access to a left-hand portion of the interior of the body element 20, allowing the items stored there to be viewed. Optionally, the sliding travel of the sliding door 22 can be so large that, in the fully open position, it exposes the entire left half of the body element 20.
[0016] Fig. 3 shows the cabinet in a second opening position in which the sliding door 22 and the screen 24 are shifted to the left so that the flap 26 and all pivoting doors 28 on the right side of the body can be opened and a right part of the body element 20 is accessible.
