Abstract
Description
AREA OF USE PATTERN
[0001] The present application belongs to the field of battery processing technology and relates in particular to an ultrasonic welding device. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] In the production of lithium batteries, the multilayer flap film and the soft connector are ultrasonically welded. During ultrasonic welding, the ultrasonic welding head is pressed directly onto the multilayer flap film. Because the surface of the multilayer flap film is loose, pressing down on the welding head causes the film to bulge in the welded area. This distorts the edge of the welded area, and the ultrasonic wave is transmitted to the surface of the film, causing it to vibrate at a high frequency. This results in the outermost flap film being slightly fractured, producing metal shavings that increase the battery's self-discharge rate, shorten its lifespan, or cause a local short circuit, seriously impairing the battery's performance and reliability. DISCLOSURE OF THE USE PATTERN

The hold-down mechanism includes a housing, a hold-down device, and an elastic telescopic section. The housing is rigidly connected to the welding head; when the welding head moves, the hold-down mechanism moves with the welding head as a whole. The housing and the hold-down device are provided with a through-hole through which the welding head can pass. One end of the elastic telescopic section is slidably connected to the housing, and the other end is rigidly connected to the hold-down device. When ultrasonic welding is performed, the welding head is moved, and the side of the hold-down device facing away from the housing initially rests against the flap film to be welded. The welding head is then moved further into the welding position. The welding position refers to the position where the welding head rests against the flap film to be welded. The hold-down device moves towards the housing, the elastic telescopic section is compressed, and the elastic recovery force of the elastic extension element acts on the hold-down device, allowing the hold-down device to compress the flap film to be welded. [0018] The embodiment of the application provides an ultrasonic welding device to solve the problem that, when using ultrasonic welding for a flap film, metal shavings are generated by the breaking of the surface flap film, which affects battery performance and reliability. A description follows with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0020] The ultrasonic welding device provided in the present application comprises a welding head 100 and a holding mechanism 200. In addition, the ultrasonic welding device further comprises a generator and a transducer system, the generator producing a high-voltage high-frequency signal, and the transducer system converting the signal into a high-frequency mechanical vibration of the welding head 100, and the generator and the transducer system are not specifically described.
[0021] In this embodiment, as described in Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows the welding head 100, a working part 120 and a connecting handle 130, the working part 120 is arranged on the connecting handle 130, the working part 120 is provided with a working end surface 110, the working part 120 extends along the first direction, the connecting handle 130 extends along the second direction, and the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction, wherein, for example, the first direction is the Y-axis direction, the second direction is the X-axis direction and the working part 120 is positioned at the end of the connecting handle 130.
[0022] In this embodiment, as described in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. Figure 4 shows the hold-down mechanism 200 comprising a housing 210, a hold-down device 220, and an elastic telescopic piece 230. The housing 210 is fixedly connected to the welding head 100, one end of the elastic telescopic piece 230 is slidably connected to the housing 210, and the other end is fixedly connected to the hold-down device 220. The housing 210 and the hold-down device 220 are provided with a through-bore 240 into which the welding head 100 can penetrate, and the welding head 100 is partially located in the through-bore 240. Specifically, the housing 210 and the hold-down device 220 are slid onto the working part 120, the working part 120 is partially located in the through-bore 240, and the working part 120 is spaced a certain distance from the housing 210 and the hold-down device 220.In the welding position, the elastic telescopic piece 230 is compressed, and the elastic restoring force of the elastic extension part 230 acts on the hold-down device 220, the welding position being the position in which the working end surface 110 of the working part 120 rests against the flap film to be welded, at this moment. The working end surface 110 of the working part 120 is in the same plane, with one side surface of the hold-down device 220 being away from the housing 210.
[0023] It is understandable that in the initial state, the working end surface 110 of the working part 120 is closer to the housing 210 than the holding surface of the hold-down device 220. At this moment, the elasticity of the elastic telescopic piece 230 is in its natural state. In the welding position, the working end surface 110 of the working part 120 rests against the flap film to be welded. At this moment, the elastic telescopic piece 230 is in a compressed state. The elastic restoring force of the elastic telescopic piece 230 acts on the hold-down device 220, and the flap film to be welded is pressed through the hold-down device 220. The hold-down device 220 is pressed onto the flap film around the welding area. This inhibits vibration of the flap film, improves the penetration of the flap film in the welding area and the deformation of the flap film around the welding area, and overcomes the problem that metal shavings are generated when using ultrasonic welding for flap film because the surface flap film is broken, which impairs the battery's performance and reliability. Thus, the battery's performance and reliability are improved, and the advantages of a simple structure and convenient operation are achieved.
[0024] In some embodiments, such as in Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the elastic telescopic piece 230 comprises a connecting rod 231 and a spring 232, wherein one end of the connecting rod 231 is slidably connected to the housing 210, such as by an eyelet plate 212 being arranged on the inner side wall of the housing 210, one end of the connecting rod 231 passes through the eyelet plate 212, the end of the connecting rod 231 is connected to a nut, the nut is movably connected to the eyelet plate 212, the other end of the connecting rod 231 is fixedly connected to the retainer 220, and the spring 232 is pushed onto the connecting rod 231; one end of the spring 232 is abutted against the housing 210, such as one end of the spring 232 resting against the eyelet plate and the other end of the spring 232 against the retainer 220.
[0025] Understandably, upon reaching the welding position, the connecting rod 231 moves towards the eyelet plate 212. The connecting rod 231 sets the hold-down device 220 in motion, compressing the spring 232. The elastic restoring force of the spring 232 constantly acts on the hold-down device 220. During the welding process, the hold-down device 220 can always compress the flap film to be welded. The design of the elastic telescopic piece 230 is simple. The holding force of the hold-down device 220 can be automatically adjusted by the spring 232, and the magnitude of the holding force is appropriate, thus preventing damage to the flap films due to excessive tension.
[0026] In some embodiments, such as in Fig. 3 and Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the elastic telescopic piece 230 is provided in a plurality, and the plurality of elastic telescopic pieces 230 are spaced apart along the circumference of the welding head 100, i.e., the elastic telescopic pieces 230 are spaced apart along the circumference of the working part 120, and the distances between adjacent elastic telescopic pieces 230 can be equal or not equal, e.g., 6 elastic telescopic pieces 230 are provided.
[0027] It can be understood that in this embodiment several elastic telescopic pieces 230 are arranged, several elastic telescopic pieces 230 are in a compressed state at the welding position, and the elastic restoring force of the plurality of elastic telescopic pieces 230 acts on the hold-down device 220, so that the pressure of each part of the hold-down device 220 is relatively uniform, and the force of the hold-down device 220 acting on the flap film to be welded is uniform, and the welding effect of the flap film is further improved.
[0028] In some embodiments, such as in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the hold-down device 220 comprises a connecting frame 221 and a hold-down block 222, the connecting frame 221 has a first end and a second end, the first end is firmly connected to one end of the elastic telescopic piece 230, and the second end is firmly connected to the hold-down block 222.
[0029] In this embodiment, the connecting frame 221 is a square frame structure. The first end of the connecting frame 221 is provided with a protruding flange connecting disc, and the end of the connecting rod 231 of the elastic telescopic piece 230 is firmly connected to the flange connecting disc. The hold-down block 222 is also a square frame structure, and the second end of the connecting frame 221 and a side surface of the hold-down block 222 can be fixed by bonding. The hold-down block 222 and the elastic telescopic piece 230 are connected by the connecting frame 221 to ensure the flatness of a side surface of the hold-down block 222 that contacts the flap film to be welded and to prevent the hold-down block 222 from scratching the flap film.
[0030] In the above embodiment, the retaining block 222 comprises a silicone material.
[0031] It is understood that the hold-down block 222 is made of silicone material, or that the side surface of the hold-down block 222, which comes into contact with the flap film, is coated with a silicone material. In the ultrasonic vibration welding process, the hold-down block 222 is always in contact with the surface of the flap film, and the multi-layered flap film is pressed to prevent vibration of the flap film on the surface and to improve the welding effect. The second layer of silicone material is softer to prevent the hold-down block 222 from scratching the flap film.
[0032] In some embodiments, such as in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, an end of the housing 210 facing the hold-down 220 is provided with a stop plate 211, the stop plate 211 is located between the elastic telescopic piece 230 and the hold-down block 222, the stop plate 211 is located on the outside of the connecting frame 221, the edge of a side of the hold-down block 222 facing away from the through-hole 240 protrudes from the connecting frame 221, and the projection of the edge of the hold-down block 222 falls onto the stop plate 211.
[0033] It is understandable that in this embodiment the stop plate 211 is arranged between the elastic telescopic section 230 and the hold-down block 222. When the hold-down block 222 is moved to its end position towards the housing 210, the stop plate 211 rests against the hold-down block 222, thus limiting the maximum stroke of the hold-down block 222, protecting the elastic telescopic section 230 from overstretching, and improving the reliability of the elastic telescopic section 230.
[0034] Due to the embodiment, the shape of the stop plate 211 is adapted to the shape of the housing 210, wherein, for example, the housing 210 is a housing 210 with a rectangular cross-section, the corresponding stop plate 211 is also a hollow square plate, the stop plate 211 is detachably connected to the housing 210 by bolts, and the contact area between the stop plate 211 and the hold-down block 222 is large along the circumference of the working part 120.
[0035] In its deformed state, the stop plate 211 is an arc-shaped plate or a rectangular plate, and at least one stop plate 211 is arranged at the end of the housing 210, so that the purpose of blocking the hold-down block 222 can also be achieved.
[0036] In some embodiments, such as in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, the hold-down mechanism 200 further comprises a support 250 which connects the housing 210 and the connecting handle 130.
[0037] The hold-down mechanism 200 forms a detachable structure through the support 250 and the welding head 100, and the hold-down mechanism 200 can use various welding heads 100, and the range of applications is wide.
[0038] Starting from the above embodiment, as described in Fig. Figure 1 shows the support 250, a connecting plate 251 and a clamping piece 252, the connecting plate 251 is bent, one end of the connecting plate 251 is connected to a housing 210, the connecting plate 251 is firmly connected to the housing 210, the other end of the connecting plate 251 is connected to the clamping piece 252, the clamping piece 252 is clamped and fixed to the connecting handle 130 and the clamping piece 252 is detachably connected to the connecting handle 130.
[0039] Understandably, in this embodiment the holding mechanism 200 is detachably connected to the connecting handle 130 by the clamping piece 252, and the square plate hold-down 200 is assembled with a welding head 100, and operation is simple.
[0040] Based on the above embodiments, as in Fig. 1 and Fig. 5 shown, where Fig. Figure 5 shows a schematic representation of the clamping piece provided in the embodiment of the present application, the clamping piece 252 comprises a first clamping plate 2521 and a second clamping plate 2522, which are arranged opposite each other, wherein the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522 are connected to enclose a clamping space 2523, the connecting handle 130 is located in the clamping space 2523 and the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522 are detachably connected by a locking structure.
[0041] In this embodiment, as described in Fig. Figure 5 shows that both the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522 have two connecting segments and a bending segment positioned between the connecting segments. A pin hole is provided on the connecting segment. When the first clamping plate 2521 is connected to the second clamping plate 2522, the connecting segment of the first clamping plate 2521 rests against the connecting segment of the second clamping plate 2522 and is firmly connected by a pin. The bending segment of the first clamping plate 2521 and the bending segment of the second clamping plate 2522 enclose the clamping space 2523. The clamping piece 252 incorporates the first clamping plate 2521, the second clamping plate 2522, and the locking structure, which is convenient for installation and operation. The clamping space 2523 has a specific adjustment range and can be used with welding heads of 100 different specifications.
[0042] Based on the above embodiment, as in Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 5 shows that a mounting hole 2524 is formed between the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522, the connecting plate 251 is located in the mounting hole 2524, and the connecting plate 251 is connected and fixed to the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522 by a locking structure.
[0043] It is understood that a connecting segment of the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522 is provided with a U-shaped hole. The connecting segments of the first clamping plate 2521 and the second clamping plate 2522 are connected to each other, thus forming the mounting hole 2524. One end of the connecting plate 251 is positioned in the mounting hole 2524; the connecting plate 251, the first clamping plate 2521, and the second clamping plate 2522 are connected to each other by a locking mechanism, and the structure is compact.
