Description

1. Designation of the InventionBiodegradable water resistant adhesive for versatile applications2. Technical FieldThe present invention relates to a biodegradable adhesive based on natural raw materials and suitable for various applications. The adhesive is distinguished by a high adhesive strength, water resistance and environmental friendliness.3. Prior ArtConventional adhesives are often made from synthetic polymers which are not biodegradable and may contain microplasty. These adhesives have several disadvantages:• Environmentally hazardous: Many contain solvents or plastics which cannot be degraded.• Non-water resistant: Biological adhesives often lose their adhesive power in the case of moisture.• Brittle on aging: Many natural adhesives lose their elasticity after a long time.4. Object of the InventionThe object of the invention is to provide a durable, water-resistant adhesive which consists exclusively of biodegradable materials and at the same time has a high adhesive strength and flexibility.5. Solution of the InventionThe adhesive of the invention is based on a mixture of natural binders, waxes and resins which in combination form a strong, elastic and water-resistant adhesive bond.5.1 Composition of the adhesiveThe adhesive contains the following components: 1. gum arabic (25%) Natural binder providing strong adhesion◯ Increases the Flexibility of the Adhesive2. Bee wax (30%) water repellency improves suppleness◯ supports long-term stability3. Colophony (rosin) (15%)◯ Strength◯ Increase Water Resistance4. Corn starch (10%)◯ stabilizes the paste and improves consistency◯ Increases the Adhesive Force5. Vegetable oil (5%)◯ prevents brittleness and provides elasticity6. Water (5-7%)◯ Is used for dissolution of the gum arabic5.2 Production Method1. Preparation of Gum Arabic Mix gum arabic with hot water until a viscous paste is formed.2. melting of the wax components Melt the beeswax and rosin in a water bath at low temperature.3. Blending of dry components Mix corn starch with the gum arabic mixture.4. Joining the Components◯ Add and stir the molten wax-resin mixture stepwise.5. Adding the vegetable oil vegetable oil to obtain flexibility.6. Cool down◯ Let the mass cool until it reaches the desired consistency.5.3 Properties of the AdhesiveHigh water resistance: the wax and resin content maintains the adhesive strength even in the case of moisture.Strong adhesion: gum arabic and colophony ensure reliable adhesive action. Elasticity & Longevity: The mixture of vegetable oil and corn starch leaves the adhesive supple.Environmentally Friendly & Biodegradable: All ingredients are completely compostable.6. Advantages of the Invention• 100% biodegradable - Non-synthetic polymers or microplasty• Water-resistant - Suitable for moist applications• High Adhesive Force - Adheres reliably to different surfaces• Flexible consistency - Prevents brittleness or hardening over time• Simple Production - Can be produced in a large scale in an environmentally friendly manner

Claims

Biodegradable, water-resistant adhesive, characterized bya composition of gum arabic, beeswax, colophony, maize starch, vegetable oil and water, which ensures high bond strength and water resistance.Adhesive according to Claim 1, characterized in that the proportion of binder made of gum arabic is at least 25% in order to ensure strong adhesion.Adhesive according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the water-repellent property is enhanced by a bee wax fraction of at least 30%.Adhesive according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that rosin (wood rosin) is present in a fraction of 15% in order to further increase the bond strength.Adhesive according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adhesive contains maize starch as stabilizer, whereby the consistency is improved and the elasticity is increased.Adhesive according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adhesive comprises vegetable oil (at least 5%) in order to prevent brittleness and to ensure a flexible adhesive.Adhesive according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the composition is completely biodegradable and does not contain synthetic polymers or microplasty.
