Abstract

Multifunctional bicycle bag with a mounting system (5) for attachment to a bicycle rack, characterized in that the bicycle bag can be converted into a backpack (Figure 6) by fully opening the back (4) of the bicycle bag, to which the mounting system (5) is attached, via side zippers (3), folding it from the bottom to the front, and inserting it into a specially provided, internal compartment (6) on the front of the bicycle bag. There, the mounting system (5) is hooked into a tab (7) within the compartment (6). This reliably holds the folded back in the compartment (6), and the mounting system remains completely concealed without compromising the usable internal volume or the functionality of the bag in the respective mode (bicycle bag or backpack) (see Figures 1 to 4).

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a multifunctional bag that can be used both as a bicycle bag and as a backpack or shoulder bag. The bag has a back panel with a fastening system for attaching it to a bicycle rack, which can be opened and folded over via a zippered opening. To convert the bag, the back panel is then folded from the bottom to the front and stowed in a specially designed compartment on the front of the bag. There, it is secured with a flap, allowing the bag to be used as a backpack after conversion without any visible or obtrusive attachment elements. State of the art:

[0002] Bicycle bags that can be converted into backpacks or shoulder bags are known from the prior art. This conversion is sometimes also achieved by opening zippers. However, in existing solutions, the storage system is often located on the back or bottom of the bicycle bag. These arrangements have functional disadvantages: They impair carrying comfort, as the backpack's carrying system encounters uneven or hard structures; they reduce the usable volume inside the bag; or they impair the external appearance and / or ergonomics.

[0003] In addition, many of these bags do not offer a truly full backpack function, as the attachment system is either not completely concealed or the conversion process remains complicated and time-consuming. Solution of the invention:

[0004] The invention solves these problems by a novel, front-integrated storage mechanism for the foldable back panel (4) with a mounting system (5). The back panel (4) is fully opened via side zippers (3) and folded from the bottom to the front ( Fig. 2-3). There it is inserted into an internal compartment (6) located at the front ( Fig. 3-4), which is previously opened by two horizontal zippers (2) on the front ( Fig. 1), and fixed by a tab (6) ( Fig. 4). The conversion is carried out without tools using zippers (2) and (3), can be carried out in just a few seconds, and ensures that the mounting system (5) disappears completely - without compromising storage space or carrying comfort.

[0005] In contrast to conventional solutions, where the mounting system remains on the back or protrudes into the interior, taking up too much space, this invention completely separates the storage from the carrying space. This allows for a slim, ergonomic backpack design with a padded back ( Fig. 6), without loss of volume or restrictions of functionality in the different modes of the bicycle bag.

[0006] Advantages of the invention: • Complete integration of the mounting system into a separate, front compartment after conversion from bike bag to backpack, • no disturbing, visible mounting elements after the conversion, • unrestricted use of the interior of the bag, • comfortable backpack use thanks to flat back padding, • Clean, tool-free conversion in seconds. Claims

[1] Multifunctional bicycle bag with a mounting system (5) for attachment to a bicycle rack, characterized by that the bicycle bag fits into a backpack ( Fig. 6) can be converted by fully opening the back (4) of the bicycle bag, to which the mounting system (5) is attached, using side zips (3), folding it from the bottom to the front, and inserting it into a specially provided, internal compartment (6) on the front of the bicycle bag. There, the mounting system (5) is hooked into a tab (7) within the compartment (6). This reliably holds the folded back in the compartment (6), and the mounting system remains completely concealed without compromising the usable internal volume or the functionality of the bag in the respective mode (bicycle bag or backpack) (cf. Fig. 1 to 4). [2] Bicycle bag according to claim 1, characterized bythat the internal compartment (6) for storing the folded back can be opened by two horizontal zippers (2) on the front of the bicycle bag and this compartment allows the folded back to be fully accommodated, thereby enabling the bag to function as a backpack ( Fig. 1 to 5). [3] Bicycle bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the tab (7) is designed in such a way that it fixes the holder (5) (8) and prevents the folded back from falling out of the inner compartment (6) at the front ( Fig. 4). [4] Bicycle bag according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the conversion from bicycle bag to backpack is done without tools.
