Abstract
Description
1. What is mainlining? 2. Previous approach 3. Solution 1. What is mainlining? • Mainlining is a special training method in the hobby field of cannabis cultivation, in which the plant is deliberately guided into a symmetrical structure. The plant no longer has its typical Christmas tree shape, but is given a completely different growth structure by severing the central main stem and guiding the underlying side shoots horizontally to the edge of the pot. 2. Previous approach • Tools currently used to guide the side shoots horizontally: Tent pegs in the growing medium / soil (become loose), wires from the edge of the pot (wrong angle, no vertical downward pull possible), horizontal bamboo canes (attached to the pot) and wires attached to them (bamboo is always parallel to the side shoot, but never on the axis > wrong angle) 3. Solution • Description: ◯ The plant training frame is a specially designed frame for mainlining that can be attached to or in knobbly plastic pots. o It consists of a first outer ring that can be inserted into common knobbly plastic pots, such as, but not limited to, Airpots from Superroots. ◯ A 2nd inner ring positioned around the stem of the plant. ◯ And 3. six ribbed rods that connect the two rings. These rods are perfectly aligned with the center of the plant. This is where the wires that actually come into contact with the plant will later be attached. ◯ The inner ring has a recess to facilitate positioning around the stem of the plant. • Drawings: 1. Complete assembly, from above and from the side.
Claims
[1] Spider web-like structure of the rods and rings. [2] Central C-ring, which allows for perfect positioning of the poles along the axis of the plant shoots. If possible, other geometric shapes, such as triangles, rectangles, ovals, rhombuses, etc., are also possible. The special feature is the open area and the pole position. [3] Grooved rods to prevent the wires to be attached from slipping.
