Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of clothing, in particular functional or medical socks with special opening mechanisms. Conventional socks are often difficult to put on and take off, which is a significant limitation, especially for people with foot or joint problems. Known solutions use a zipper integrated at the front, which, however, opens the sock completely and thus impairs its fit and shape. The objective is therefore to provide a sock that is easier to put on via a side opening, without losing stability and wearing comfort.
[0002] The proposed sock is made of a stretchable main material and features an integrated side zipper, preferably located on the outside of the leg or foot. The zipper runs from the cuff of the sock to approximately the ankle or instep, but does not extend to the sole. An elastic protective strip on the inside prevents direct skin contact with the zipper, thus avoiding irritation or pressure points. The zipper allows the sock to be partially opened, making it easier to put on without having to completely remove the sock.
[0003] The invention offers several advantages: Firstly, it significantly facilitates putting on and taking off the socks, which is particularly beneficial for seniors, athletes, or people with limited mobility. Secondly, the partial, side zipper maintains the sock's stability and fit. Furthermore, the inner protective strip prevents unpleasant skin contact with the closure mechanism.
[0004] An embodiment of the invention is included in the appendix to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 shown. Fig. 1. the sock with the zipper closed Fig. 2. The sock with the zipper open
[0005] The figures depict the sock with a zipper on the side. Fig.Figure 2 also shows the inner protective strip. Furthermore, the figures illustrate that the sock retains its fit and shape despite the partial opening.
