Euro profile half cylinders, due to their reduced length (often only 30 mm / 10 mm), often do not offer this enhanced security or the increased number of locking elements. • Reversible installation: o With double-sided coded Euro profile double cylinders, in case of a defect on one side, the functional other side can be used, which is not possible with Euro profile half cylinders. • Sustainability and cost savings: ◯ Possibility of reusing removed Euro profile double cylinders from other applications (e.g. front doors, apartment doors). ◯ Euro profile double cylinders are sometimes cheaper than Euro profile half cylinders, so additional savings are possible. ◯ Upcycling: Euro profile double cylinders that were previously unused or considered unusable are given a new function by being used in padlocks. • Flexibility in the locking system: ◯ Integration of the padlock into existing locking systems without additional acquisition costs for special cylinders or Euro profile half cylinders.
